I thought this professor was very helpful in learning math I had not worked with in many years. He is eager to help if you ask questions. Mostly teaches straight from the book but shows extra examples and explanation when needed. (He is lenient with test scores!) I was successful at this class after being nervous about it. Recommend.

Great teacher, very consistent and fair. He's patient and explains to where the student understands. It was a friday night class which is tough but he's worth taking a weekend class for.

He does teach right off the powerpoints which are straight from the book, but his tests are multiple choice and he gives a review for each test. Not only does he give you a review he goes over the review right before the actual test and the questions are pretty much the same. I recommend him but u have to go to class

He is a great teacher. He makes his expectations very clear. He covers any problems right before the test and provides good reviews that mirror the test. He gives you the chance to earn points on overdue assignment. He teaches straight from the book but makes it clear and engaging. Very cut and dried approach. He is constantly planning ahead.

He was by far the best math teacher i have had. He allows you to work on homework for as long as you need to, he dosent close out math hw online until before final grades are posted.Hes very helpful,very approachable.He will go over practice tests and practice final with you until the day of. Over all a great teacher that i suggest you take. :)

Not good at math? No worries! Professor Landrum is here! I had to drop my algebra class last time I attempted it but hallway through the semester in his class & I have an A! Just do the homework, practice tests, and come to class. GREAT professor!

This class was computer aided so Prof Landrum was there to coordinate and explain problems when we would get stuck. He was very diligent about reviewing the test with us so that we could work on the problems that we missed. I would take him again.

Professor Landrum makes algebra, homework and exams as simple as possible. I was dreading this class, especially group practice on the boards, but his class was my favorite! Go to lectures-he teaches you all you need to know (I never even looked at my book) and you really grasp the concepts in class. He's extremely patient, concise, and helpful.

As a person who has always struggled in math, I can say he is hands down the best math teacher I have ever had! He is very helpful and explains the information in a way that is easy to understand. If you show up to class and participate you can easily receive an A. I would definitely recommend this professor!

the biggest con is that the lectures are a bit long and tedious but it does help nonetheless. He is pretty passionate about math in general so you will learn. If math is not your strongest subject, i recommend not skipping class. 4 tests, online homework, & 1 final. Drops lowest test grade and 3 lowest homework grades. Would highly recommend.

I'm really bad at Math and had to take so many classes until I took Mr. Landrum's. I got a freaking A.. Seriously, just do the home work and pay attention. He makes class really enjoyable. He let us work in groups all the time and made class fun. Also, I love his sense of humor. He doesn't show it all the time but he's a funny dude too.

Best professor I've ever had! If you struggle with math I highly recommend him. If math comes easy to you his class will be a breeze. He's patient and very clear with his lectures. Gives time in class for students to practice problems and helps if you're stuck. My only complaint is he doesn't teach the other math classes I need.

This class was definitely an Easy A and this teacher was the one of the most helpful teachers I have ever had. He responded quickly to emails, was in his office to help students at assigned times, and was willing to help students out after not passing a test to see what they did wrong. The course was a bit hard but work hard and you shall pass!

Awesome teacher! I've struggled with math in school all my life, but taking this class was a breeze. Mr. Landrum teaches in a style that everyone can understand... audio, visually and hands on. Highly recommend!

Landrum is the BEST math professor I've ever had. At first he lectures then, he splits you into groups to work out practice problems on the board. He then goes around to each group and personally helps anyone who doesn't understand. This way I was able to make friends! Also before tests (that you have a week to take) he goes over an exact replica!

Mr. Landrum is the best teacher to take especially if you struggle with math. I just took his class, and got a B. His reviews and homework are easy and he is available if you have questions. If you are prone to skipping I would choose someone else because attendance is a must.

Great Teacher, I had him for College Algebra for my first semester in college. Make sure you do the homework by the deadlines even though he only takes off 30 points for being late, since some of the assignments can take upwards of 30min each. The tests are extremely easy as they are identical to the study guide, so just spend an hour studying it.

Professor Landrum will not hesitate to help you out if needed. He will not move on until you know the material. Awesome professor. You have to do the homework and come to class. That is the key to passing this class.

He gives you everything you need for each class and believe me, use it. he makes it very easy. tests are taken in test center. homework is done on myMathLab and it can be a pain but he is no where near specific like the website is. he makes class fun, you work problems out with other people and he makes sure you understand before moving on.

Mr. Landrum was an excellent choice for this class. I hate the MyStatLab assignments but they walk you through the questions. He gives out a test review and does it with you in class before your tests. The test review is almost identical to the actual test.

For the class, it was all online, but John was overseeing the class. As a person that struggles with math, I especially appreciated his help when it came to math problems I didn't understand (and believe me when I say, THERE WERE MANY).

He's an awesome professor, drops one of your Lowest test scores also drops 4 homework assignments. He gives plenty of time to get your online homework done, kind of monotoned during lecture but when doing board work he's very helpful and his SI is super sweet and helps a lot! His test are exactly like his reviews, just tweaked a bit. Take him!!!!

All homework assignments are done in MyMath lab. You do either need the book with An access code or just the code. 4 exams . All exams are done using proctorU . He lets you turn in assignments late but its an automatic 30 points off of whatever grade you get. Overall its an easy class , I passed with a B.

Great professor, he puts you in groups to learn the material, so your not just listening to lectures. U get too jam to music too! He's test are exactly like the test review. You do have home work but it's from 4 questions to 10 a lesson. Highly recommend taking for college algebra!

He is great teacher wants everyone to understand and do well. He does do test reviews goes over them in class before every test. If you go to class listen and underhand you will do well. If you dont understand ask he will help you. Wonderful teacher.

I took his class online. It was very simple and easy. I did not watch a single video and still managed to make an A. The assignments walk you through the processes and that is all you really need.

Test count for 90 percent of your grade. 5 test and lots of very hard homework assignments that are literally worth nothing (10%)

He was always available in his office to help and responded to my emails quickly. I'm not great at math and was extremely nervous for this class, but he would sit down with me and helped to make sure I understood what I was doing. Take him if you can, he's great and very patient.

I take him in Winter-Semster 2020, and it was really tight time because it is very limitation to need to extra help so I am tried to be working hard this class Mr. Landrum is great professor.

Took Algebra with Dr. Landrum during Wintermester, and I highly recommend him because it is easier to retain the material in a short amount of time. He makes you participate in groups to solve example problems, which also significantly help with learning in this class.

He explains the information well, completely prepared you for the test, multiple attempts on all the hmwk with enough time to get 100 on every assignment. Did not require much time and responded to emails quickly.

He's an awesome teacher, watch and go over your practice review video and you are guaranteed to do fine on the test. I dont know what happened to the other students who gave him bad reviews. His class is extremely easy! Watch the videos and do the homework while you watch and it makes it that easy! He does indeed drop the lowest test grade and HW assignments. I just finished his wintermester class and I HATE MATH but Mr. Landrum made it a cake walk! Take it!

BEST PROFESSOR EVER! I was worried about taking college algebra, but I worried for nothing. P. Landrum makes learning the subject very easy. Step by step lessons on how to do the work, and great at explaining. He responds to emails in a timely manner, and he gives you study guides that are very useful for his exams. You will not regret it.

Professor Landrum online Math 1342 Summer I 2021 class consisted of daily lesson/homework assignments (20%), four unit exams which are Proctorio based (60%), and one comprehensive multiple choice final exam (20%). He provides lecture videos, power-point notes, exam reviews, and applicable formula charts/tables. I highly recommend taking his class.

Professor Landrum is an amazing professor! This class is hard, but he is always available during class and his office hours to help. He takes the time to make sure that each student understands the material, and he does a thorough review before each exam. I highly recommend taking him! You won't regret it!

Took Prof Landrum from Jun-Aug '21, I started out class with a raging sinus infection that left me bedridden for nearly 2 weeks! I could barely look at a screen. His due dates offer great flexibility, I was able to cram like crazy and catch up within a 72 hour period (what's sleep?) His lectures are clear & concise, & his test prep is very helpful.

Professor Landrum is great. I took him for College algebra and Statistics. He is very good at explaining and has no issue helping you one-on-one without making you feel dumb. He does have homework after each lesson but it's only about 10 questions each time and he allows you to retake it until you get a 100. He also does reviews for tests.

Mr. Landrum is an awesome teacher who makes all the key points very easy to understand. He had lots of board work in his lesson plan and it was really fun.

Good lectures, first couple units were relatively easy, but last 2 units were harder for me. Final is comprehensive. HW assignments can be retaken as many times and tests only once and is proctored

His teaching style was very easy to learn from. Highly recommend following the schedule he gives you because, as easy as he makes it, it's still easy to fall behind.

Professor Landrum is an amazing teacher. He responds to emails quickly, even over the weekend. His lectures are very easy to learn from and his homework assignments will be easy as long as you watched the lectures. I recommend doing the reviews because the tests are very similar. The tests are proctored and you have plenty of time to take them.

RUN TO TAKE HIM! His online lectures are easy and understandable. I took the 8 week course and it was so worth it. 5 tests including final. Everything is open so you can finish the class as fast as you want. HW can be taken as many times til you get a 100. Drops lowest test and 2 lowest HW.

He was always super nice and understanding. If you didn't understand something he was very nice and would sit down and help figure out what I didn't understand. His lectures were so easy to understand, and this is coming from someone who typically struggles in math. I would definitely take another class of his if needed.

I am not strong in math, but I feel confident in this class. He has great lectures and is very good at descriptively and clearly explaining material. He gives a schedule for every lecture, and all homework and tests are given dates at the beginning. He gives very good lectures that keep me focused and on task. Great professor.

Professor Landrum is a very excellent teacher, he loves what he does, and it shows. He put math into perspective that everyone can understand. He was accessible outside of class for tutoring and has slides available as well for each day he taught. I sooo would take another of his classes if it was offered.

There's no way you're not gonna pass his class with a 100. Mr Landrum explains every concept clearly, short to the point instead of giving heavy lectures. He gives unlimited attempts for homework and drops your lowest exam score. Show up to class, do your work, 100 is guaranteed. Can't recommend Mr Landrum enough. TAKE HIS CLASS!!

He is one of the best math teachers I have ever had in my life. Explains everything very clearly and makes his reviews meaningful unlike some other professors. One major critique I have is that it is very hard to find out mistakes you made on tests since he will not give you your test answers back unless you go visit him in his office.

Math was my least favorite subject until I took this Professor, now my grades have sky rocketed. He has videos for lessons, so if you need to refresh or weren't paying attention, you can watch them. Homework is light, and he gives you a couple weeks to do it. One of the easiest professors I've ever had, didn't even need to use a math help app once.

Took math-1324 online, over wintermester. Arguably one of the most organized professors. Lecture videos provided for each module as well as a practice test for exams. Held non mandatory study sessions. Has great communication about what assignments are due for attendance and reminders for exams. High recommend this professor!

As someone who has never been great at math, I can say Professor Landrum makes it very easy to understand. Homework assignments have unlimited attempts, and he gives out reviews before each test. I just wish he taught 1325 as well because he would have saved my grade.

John is an amazing professor! His teaching style makes math easy to understand, and he explains concepts in simple, clear ways. He also provides online videos you can review at home. I highly recommend him he's a 20 out of 10!

John Landrum was great! As someone who has always struggled with math, I had a really easy time getting through this class.

All the modules are open and you can do it at your own pace ,multiple attempts for homework and exams are proctored but are just like the practice ones he provide. His videos are explanatory . Easy A if you do the work

This class was simple at times to understand and the work he has you doing is light because he doesn't throw a lot at you with the assignments and tests. There was a lot of times where I didn't understand the lectures he would give so I went to the math center or ask him questions. If you take this class, be prepared to self learn everything.

I took this class for maymester and even though it was a fast paced class his lectures made it easy. The questions in the reviews provided for each module are very similar to the ones in the exam. Just make sure you practice the reviews and you will be fine. Easy A as long as you are willing to practice and do your part.

Take Professor Landrum, I am horrible at math and actually ended up dropping the same class last semester. Part of that was because I thought I would never understand it. I went from dropping the class to passing it with an 80. Study the practice tests he gives you that's what you'll expect to see on the actual exams. P.S modules are very organized

I suck at math. Professor Landrum's class was challenging, but because of the curriculum, not the teacher. I actually liked his teaching style. He makes how-to videos that show step-by-step how to work the problems. He provides you with notes for each test. Regular work allows unlimited attempts which guarantees weekly 100s as long as you try.

This was a somewhat easy course. He does his best to be accessible and has many student support meetings. Overall great professor.
