easy teacher.easier class. classes are a joke. take any of his classes for an easy A on ur transcript. but john is hilarious always makes me smile even at 9am! imtaking him again during summer cuz i need another A from him!

Alright seriously. Take this class. It is ridiculously easy. All you have to do is show up to class & you've already got half the total points. His final was surprisingly hard, I for sure got a C but I ended up getting an A in the class. TAKE LICITRA. Enough said.

John is a very stimulating professor, He doesn't only teach academically, he talks about his life so you can learn from his mistakes. He is a teacher that genuinely cares about his students. I don't understand the racial comment a student below made, but that is so far fetched it's incredible!

John is a very good instructor. He takes the time to work with students indivigually that need help. HE doesn't mind going the extra mile evern if it isn't asked of him. New students especially should take his class. It has a lot of very good study skills and information helpful to new students.

key point is to show up & participate. He is a very nice teacher & he's very good at making dry material like this such an interesting stuff that u ever need to learn. Definitely recommend this class to anybody who is still undecided.

good guy overall... funny and nice. But the the information itself is pretty useless. Save your time and just make an appointment (for like an hour) and just ask all the questions you want to about studying, transfering, etc. stupid class overall- but cool teacher. take the teacher but not the class. (but he teachers no good classes... owell...)

I loved Licitra so much I had to take him again! What a great class especially if you are a new student. This should be a required 1st class to take before really getting into college. Interesting course he even delves into some basic psychology. A+ for Licitra!

I have him for both college studies 1 and 2 and he is great. he basically makes it so you can't fail the class unless you choose not to show up (you can excuse absences by just emailing him) he is very educational and relates to the students well since he's been through lots. funny and nice guy, will make class exciting for you. EASY A!!

Show up to class, do the very easy assignments on time and you'll get an A. If you don't get an A...you slacked off big time. I slacked off and got an A.

Professor John Licitra is one of the most energetic, helpful and outgoing profesors at IVC. He really cares for the best interest of all his students. Upon graduating from his CSTU 1 class I have learned many invaluable teachings and lessons will use the rest of education and during career in workplace. I loved how took each class meeting as show.

He is a brilliant man, and a scholar. Have the class is attendance, and rest is just hw and a final worth 1/4 of the grade. Im totally into his teaching style which is you laugh because nobody laughs at his jokes. Thats what happens and the 5pm show. But really, it is not about the grade in the class which is an easy A, its what he teaches you.

He is extremely nice and has a fun style of teaching. Easy to get an A if you just attend and take a few notes. A few no brainer assignments and an easy final.

Prof. John Licitra is a top-notch, A+ teacher. CSTU 101 (Acad. Planning) along with CSTU 102 (Career Exploration) are "must take" classes. I'm so glad I took both classes with Prof. Licitra. He is fun, easygoing, and a wealth of information. I learned alot! I now have solid objectives mapped out in order to reach my academic goals. Thx John!

This class is easy and the Professor teaches it very well. Just make sure to come to every class and take notes when he lectures. The info is useful, and you'll want to go over your notes for the test. Very fun and educational class. ^_^

John´s teaching style is simply amazing. He makes you the master student, who wants to go to A-city ;) If you attend class and manage to do your homework, you should be fine. His lectures always funny and helpful.

John is an amazing professor, counsellor and person. He will help you with any assignment until you understand it. He'll accept late work if something came up. He'll even keep your participation points for missing class if you let him know if something else came up that made you miss class.I'm be going to John for all my counseling advice.2Thumbsup

Professor Lecitra is a super cool teacher and his class is an easy A. this class will help you figure out college and is helpful. the final was cake and he makes the class fun. great class even better teacher

John Licitra is a great professor for the career exploration class. His lectures were fun and to the point. The class was not very difficult, what it takes is participation. I completed all of my assignments, my paper, and am confident I did well on the final. Take the class seriously, and you will learn a lot about yourself.

John is one of those teachers you'll remember for a long time as he wants, and does, make a difference. While he may come across as a little eccentric, he knows his stuff, wants to help you succeed, has great energy and enthusiasm and above, can teach. I still visit him when I need advice. A great teacher/professor and person.

Overall awesome person. Very enthusiastic. I loved his class. The personality tests and other information he provided us really assisted me in figuring out what career I wanted to pursue. Easy A if you do all the homework which is EXTREMELY simple and non-time consuming.

Extremely fun and knowledgeable professor! I recommend this class for all those wanting to explore career options. The homework is easy and very minimal. He does give you points for attending class, so don't be absent too much. He's a very liberal grading, so participation will help boost your grade.

Took counceling 1, had very high expectations that were crumbled and destroyed as i sat through hour long lectures about how to make a decision. After 3 months of thiss class i ccant even name 5 things ive learned. Boring class although he tries to be enthusiastic and lively.

Easy class & he's extremely lenient on attendance (as long as you email him before you're absent, you still get points for that day). He tries to keep you entertained. Maybe tries too hard. Sometimes boring & I didn't feel like he really cared if you tried or not. I don't feel like I gained anything from this class though. It was almost too easy.

Students think he's easy. But really, he's nice. He can be hard grader and not give extra credit,but he cares for his students, so he doesn't. He is very passionate and has an interesting past. I would recommend this professor to anyone.

Licitra honestly cares about his students and his job. He's got the quirky dad jokes but hes always entertaining. He tries so hard to keep you engaged and to care, sometimes its a slippery slope since his classes are for credit and really nothing more. Being friendly goes a long way, attendance totally optional, do the homework and you'll be fine.

This class is a career exploration class, it's a great class because it helps you to narrow down your options in regards to choosing a major, it goes through a series of professional job occupations where you discover for yourself who you are and what you want to be in the feature. The Professor is super great and is willing to help.

The goal of the class is to be there and participate. This class really comes down to getting what you put in. John is amazing at what he does and there is no question about it. The class isn't meant to be a grade oriented class, but rather, it is a class to learn a lot your own self. I got a lot from this class and this is the type is amazing!

Licitra is one of my FAVORITE professors. He truly cares about all his students and puts his all into every class. He is fun, outgoing, and just the nicest human being. He is very understanding and though he does expect his students to do their work, he can be reasonable with late assignments. Easy to pass his class and also easy to love it.

I'm taking him for COUN102 right now. Great teacher! Very nice and personable, and the lectures are fun. Just make sure you do all of the assignments and on time, and you'll not only get an easy 'A', but also get a lot of useful information about your future career and where you want to go in life. It helps that he's a career counselor at IVC, too.

Hes a great guy, funny, smart, very knowledgable. However i don't feel i learned a lot in his career exploration. Very unstructured class. He's a counselor too so i understand but idk. he brought in someone from World Financial Group.. i don't think he knows what it is and was just helping a friend. research tells me its a pyramid scheme... He is one of the most enjoyable professors I've had in a long time. He's incredibly understanding, kind, unexpectedly hilarious. It's great to have such a high level of psychological security with a professor, but his classes are not just enjoyable; his expertise as a counselor will be evident throughout and offer invaluable insight in any career.

Professor Licitra was a fantastic professor whom I had the pleasure of taking his Coun 150 course with. Over the course, he kept all of us engaged and I learned a lot from his course. Was always a class to look forward coming to, constantly laughed, interesting lectures, low homework, cared about you and your grade. I would definitely take any of his classes again. It was a real treat and he is one of the BEST teachers I have ever had. You will not regret taking his class.

Show up to class, don't be on your phone, participate a little and you will get an A. He allows you to miss up to 3 classes after that he will drop you. No homework, but you do have to turn in career articles and do a career interview which is all easy. Took this class to raise my GPA and I enjoyed Dr. Licitra and the class.

I thought this class was fantastic. It was definitely my favorite class this semester. I thought the course was interesting and the teacher was a very good teacher. He was entertaining and engaged and he always communicated things in a clear way. He brings enthusiasm and experience to every lecture that he gives. Love the class.

Professor Licitra is one of those people who are there to help your own personal growth. He is not there to give you a hard time, but to help you through life. He hopes to use his own experience to help prepare you for what you may expect in the "adult" world. He gives a welcoming presence by joking from time to time and is overall very friendly.

Literally one of my easiest classes/ best professor. Mr. Licitra is so caring of his classes and students. Literally If you want a easy A just go to class and do the few assignments that he assigns no quizzes nor midterms only a final exam (50 questions) with proctorio.

I took his class online b/c of covid-19, this class would probably be better in-person but Prof Licitra is a great guy and it's not hard to get an A, you can learn a lot from him. Attendance matters, we did breakout rooms a lot, he prefers cameras on. If you skim the textbook/ pay some attention in class it's an easy A, there's also extra credit.

I love professor Licitra, He showers us with extra credit and makes the class so fun! We learned so much about how to explore what we want to set our career goals and explore our personality to find a suitable major or future job! He's so funny in class and cares so much about each of his students, therefore I highly recommend you take his class!

He is such a great guy! Assignments were straight forward, and he just really wants everyone to succeed which is so refreshing. The only thing hard was the final, thats okay because all the other assignments will make up for whatever you get on the final. But overall 10/10 teacher is willing to help students in anyway!

Professor Licitra cares about your grade and learning. If you just put in the effort you will do great! He always makes the lectures entertaining and to the point. He answers emails really quickly and is there for his students.

Dr. Licitra was the sole reason I got into university. Without his help and determination, I would not be where I am today.
