He my favorite teacher by far! He teaches everything extremely well, and makes everything very clear. He's the funniest teacher I've ever had as well. The only work you have to do in the class is easy because he explains things very well. He's way, WAY better than Bott. Take him if you can.

Prof Livingstone is completely awesome. He makes you break down into companionships and explain concepts to each other, which could be a good or a bad thing depending on how social you are. Besides that, his lectures are completely amazing and this class was much more fun than it was work.

As long as you keep up with the weekly readings, this class is no problem. Make it to class on time and he gives you questions that are right off of his exams...that's helpful. He made class entertaining...I would definitly recommend him. Bott is over-rated.

He is a neat guy, who tells good stories. Be prepared for a lecture, with little discussion, and small assignments due before each class. Its do-able, but takes small bursts of effort.

This class is cake. Just do the readings before class and come to class on time for points. He also gives questions to the tests before class starts so you can do great on the two tests that there are. He also drops one paper or test. His classes are all lectures and posted on blackboard. Way nice guy- funny and easy!

Bro. Livingstone is the best teacher I have had at BYU. He kept the attention of all his students and I actually enjoyed attending his classes. He made the whole class crack up too with his stories. He is maybe in his 50s and just seems like he has been through the experiences and wants to prepare his students as best as he can. Highly recommended.

He is pretty good, but not phenomenal. You will enjoy him but not love him in my opinion. Really nice guy.

John was a great teacher for 304 and was really funny! I took it from him during Spring and it was pretty fun.

Easy class. just do readings and journals and you'll get and A. I learned a lot. For a 19-year old female he made me want to go on a mission. Take it even if you have no interest on a mission. Great guy, cool stories. Online tests.

I love Bro. Livingstone's Mission Prep. Class. You couldn't ask for a better one! He held my interest more than any other professor here.

Great Professor. Only class Freshman year I consistently stayed awake in. You break into "companions" and discuss what you were just taught. He seems like he has been though it all, and has a story for everything. By far the best teacher I have had. I was skeptical about taking this class, but the best class I have had.

He is a great professor. Clarifies andy and every question, makes the class easier, is funny, makes the class be more fun. Teaches a lot of spiritual thoughts and teaches us how to understand the class.

Super easy class. I barely tried and I got an A. Fortunately, lectures were fabulous, which made class well worth coming to. I would say it was an ideal Religion class, focused on the spiritual, with just enough academia to keep you on your toes.

I really enjoyed this class. Is was easy: just show up, do your homework, and do all the assignments. He has a bunch of cool stories and is really entertaining and encouraging. Also, look out for his Kermit/Fozzie bear voice--it's awesome.

Pretty straightforward religion course. He was a really nice guy and made the class practical. I enjoyed his stories and style of teaching overall. Attendance is graded (like most religion courses) so you have to attend. There was 1 midterm and 1 final, both online. Other assignments were pretty easy as well. Good religion couse.

BEST CLASS EVER! I LOVE HIM! Once a week there is 30 min of readings (great!). There are a couple of easy assignments and 2 papers. But his lectures are amazing, and he is so funny. This is one of those classes that you leave a better person.I would recommend anyone to take it! Easy A.

This class was great. Prof. Livingstone taught me tons of stuff that I will be able to apply in my marriage. He has a lot of experience in what he teaches which really enhances the material. Also, he is really funny. I always looked forward to going to this class.

AMAZING! You don't have to worry about grades as long as you're doing what you're supposed to; the class is more carefree in this respect b/c it's more focused on real learning. I learned SO MUCH about what a mission is and how it's carried out. I'm a girl thinking about a mission & taking this class from him was the best thing I could've done.

Hilarious! Very easy to get an A even without taking the Final. Gives lots of easy points out. Exams are easy. Assignments are easy. Just be on time to class and meet deadlines.

This class is not blow off, but it's easygoing in comparison to other classes. You still learn a bunch about being a missionary. Each week you only have to read a chapter out of the manual and write a short summary. He is funny too!

Great Professor! Very interesting and fun mission prep class. He wants you to get an A!!! He helps, corrects, and gives a chance to improve the paper. Fun. But attendance is important. He gives out questions for the midterms at the beginning of every class. Plus each missed class is -0.5% of a grade.

Excellent teacher! I believe everyone should take this course whether you're serving a mission or not. He really teaches you how to be a good missionary and he helps your teaching skills grow. I was never bored in this class.

Really, really easy class. He's pretty entertaining and tries to give you a lot of practice. If you go to every class and turn in every assignment you don't really even have to take the final. And he gives out test questions at the beginning of every class anyway.

Brother Livingstone is a pretty good teacher. His lectures are entertaining and he clearly feels strongly about the subject-matter. I got really irritated by the end because he definitely has an agenda and I felt like he was attacking the faith of people who didn't necessarily agree with him.

He is a pretty good professor, however the lessons were boring, and by the end of the semester I didn't want to go to class at all anymore. It was a very easy class, but you have to go to class to receive credit.

I got a good laugh out of lots of the lectures, but I wouldn't say the knowledge was life changing. He challenges you to step out of your bubble and actually teach people on campus, but it's not too difficult. You get good practice from it.

Best Missionary Prep teacher. He loves the gospel, and shares a lot of amazing personal examples and other stories to help prepare you. He's very engaging, but if you are paying attention, you'll be able to jot down a lot of great analogies to use on your mission that can help investigators understand difficult concepts.

Absolutely my favorite class. I wanted to record every lecture so I could watch it back later. He's the funniest old man I've ever met. But he also knows the gospel really well. He's been mission president etc... He's excited about the class and you learn a lot. You gain valuable experience before your mission. I'm so glad I had him! Recommend!

Livingstone is a great guy and it's easy as pie to get an A but I personally didn't love the class. Not necessary to take before a mission in my opinion. Also, don't take it from him unless you are comfortable having to talk to whoever is sitting next to you every day.

This is probably the easiest Mission Prep class out there but you don't really learn all that much that will help you on the mission. One thing Livingstone does is have you talk to someone next to you about stuff he is talking about which kind of got annoying. Two essays, two tests, and he drops the lowest score (I didn't even take the final)

Brother Livingstone is awesome, super easy class. We read out of the Mission Prep Student Manual and True to the Faith instead of Preach my Gospel, because they use Preach my Gospel in the MTC. He is super funny, helps you learn a lot, gives you test questions, and overall just an easy class. Tells lots of cool stories.

Loved Brother Livingstone! Gave me a positive outlook on a scary subject- marriage! Assignments were very personal and reflective. He was extremely helpful in office hours and I felt like he genuinely wanted to help me. Lectures were fun and interactive- make sure you find a buddy to it next to. Easy tests.

He is an awesome person, but the class is kind of unnecessary if you have decent knowledge of the church.

His incentive for coming to class is to give test questions at the beginning. If you are there every class, you will go into the test knowing 3/4 of the questions verbatim. Because of this, there are no study guides, so you do still need to pay attention or you'll get a C. Uses fascinating real life examples from his clinical practice in lectures.

Dr. Livingstone is fantastic! I took this class from him my first semester and it was by far one of my favorite classes. He's super funny and he teaches the material clearly. If you get to class ON TIME (he gives out exam questions at the beginning) you will love it and learn a lot.

3 tests and 10 weekly 1-page papers makes up your grade, but as long as you show up on time for class every time he will get 85% of the test questions. Easy to make a B, takes a good amount of absorbing the test question answers to get an A. Awesome teacher for Psych 111! P.S. Make sure to use the textbook to get answers for Exam Q's.

I adore Dr. Livingstone. This class is the hardest I've taken in my undergraduate career, but it's super worth it. If you're not okay with being blasted with information, skip out. He gives questions directly from the exam throughout the course, which prepares you for maybe 80% of each exam. Asking lots of questions will help you gain favor.

I took this class during a summer term and it was piece of cake. He ga e all of the test questions in advance and all of the paper assignments were short and super easy. Easy A!! Sure, it wasn't the most beneficial class in preparing for a mission, but speaking as a rm now, what class can prepare you super well for a mission.

Dr. Livingstone is a great teacher and I really learned a lot in his mission prep class. During my mission, I sometimes would remember stuff he said to help me on my way. Class is an easy A and worth your time.
