Great Teacher! Tough tests
No Comments
Test are hard...class is easy. Dont fall into the trap your going to have tos study hard.
Read the book and use the past tests he puts online. He expects you to know a lot more than what he teaches in class.
good teacher - you must study.
If you go to class and study the old tests that he gives you, you'll do fine...he keeps class kind of entertaining with his corny jokes
Make sure you memorize the old tests and you will probably do fine. His jokes get old and he has a hard time remembering names, but class is worth going to.
He does a good job of relating a potentially boring subject. Highly reccomended!
Funny, dedicated. He memorized every student's name even though the class was fairly large. Makes interesting handouts.
He was an interesting teacher. I learned a lot, its not so hard to get a B with his study materials, but to get an A it is really hard. His tests are more trying to read his mind than understand the material. DONT BUY THE STUDY GUIDE
This guy is a moron. It is extremely difficult to follow his lectures because he will go off on little, insignificant tangents (suffers from add). His tests are extremely difficult and simply reviewing lecture materials will not help. I pulled a B.
Tests are impossible, becasue he expects you to know things that he never talked about. I would not recomend him
No attendance taken. Coming to class not needed at all. Lectures have nothing to do with test. Simply study his practice test and you will pull a B easy. At least 15 out of 30to 40 questions come from practice test.
He is really funny in class. I enjoyed it. The tough tests are offset by the problem sets that he assigns. He told us the first day that "(He) is leniant towards people who sleep in class."
this guy is the worst teacher ever. he spends probably less than half the time of the class actually teaching, and his tests are freakin hard. if you plan on getting a good grade, you better be able to teach yourself.
Almost all of the test questions come from old ones that are posted on his website. He tries to be funny, but it is funnier to laugh at him than with him. Don't buy the study guide. You can easily get an A or B by going to class/studying old tests.
He is a nice guy but definitely a nerd. Spends too much time in class on stuff that isn't on test. Tests are pretty hard.
Tests are real hard...
Dr. Lovett's class was easy and informative. He managed to keep the class interesting even though economics is usually a boring subject.
tests are really hard, and he goes off on alot of tangents in class so do alot reading, and the problem sets and experiments are hard to keep up with.
This class was easy...a lot of people expect it to be so, so they dont do well. The teacher is nice and helpful. I got a B.

Great Prof. Really funny.
I hate him! He was so rude and snide with me! I asked for help and he turned his back on me and did nothing. His tests are out of another world and has horrible teaching methods!
He's not bad at all. He does go on several tangents, but if you take a MWF class, he's harmless. His tests aren't that bad, and he posts old tests on his website anyway. Take him; you'll thank me later.
He's crazy! The class takes a lot of work on your own because he doesn't really teach it in class...also you get to play games that he creates himself (MonkeyKong). Doing well on those will help raise your grade.
His jokes are really lame, and he never goes over anything thats on the test. If you actually read the chapters and study and make sure you understand the old tests, then the tests are a breeze and you shouldnt have to go to class.
One of my favorite teachers at TCU; made me decide to minor in Economics because I loved the class. Prof. Lovett is interesting, fun, and great, even though the subject can be hard.
He is a computer dork. The opening 5 minutes of class are spent with him starting up his computer. Old exams are posted. I made an A in Dawn Elliots microeconomics class. While she is much more difficult you will learn the material much better from he
This class is awful. There is no point to going to class. The only thing that you need to study for the test is the review and the old tests. Don't take notes and don't read the book. This class SUCKS! I fall asleep in this class almost everyday!
the lame joekes get old FAST! i fall asleep almost every day in this class. he makes absolutely no sense and goes off on random tangents. i would definitely take someone else!
Hard to follow. Tests are difficult; there's 6 of them (you can drop one). Avoid if possible. Class time is wasted.
His class is not very easy, because you do not understand what he is trying to teach in class. Many people tend to sleep off in his class cuz it's so boring. His humor sux!!! Study the old exams, it's one of the ways to help your grade.
One word: Horrible!!! Avoid if all possible! He intentionally tries to trick you on tests (which are impossible). Definitely one of the worst teachers I have ever had! He is a huge dork and tells the worst jokes during class.
He is not the best proffessor. Jokes way too much and talks about his family alot so you end up learning less. My advise is to study on your own using old tests & reviews coz he puts those on tests. He doesn't do a very good job when explaining. Hard class
he's a strange one, jokes suck, giant nerd, hard class, hard exams suck but when do they not, and did i mention he's strange
Took him for both classes. Overall a very good guy. Classes are early in the morning. Don't have to get A's or high B's on his tests to get an A in the class. Lots of online grade inflators. Has old tests on web site and often cut/paste.
Difficult teacher, many helpful grade boosters to take weight off of tests, lectures are often random and not too informative. Definitely read the book and study old tests. Questions often repeated.
Goes off on many tangents and tests aren't necessarily from lecture. Definately look over all of the old tests that he posts online because some questions repeat.
Need to study old tests and look over book. Requires some work, I got an A in both macro and micro. He also gives you many chances to bring up your grade and drops a test. Serious cheeseball jokes, but he is always willing to help.
his class is hard and so are his tests. you have to work REALLY hard to get an A. he is a big econ nerd BUT he is genuinely a nice guy. always willing to help but not good at explaining. i actually learned a lot from his class.
will be lecturing on ch 6, taking quizes on ch 7 and reading ch 8. Very hard to follow.
Well, he thinks he is really funny, he is NOT. The class isnt so bad if you look over old tests, thats all I have to say. You dont have to listen to him, but he throws the same problems at you as he threw at last year's classes....old tests, and he posts them for you!
He is a really nice guy, but a little weird. His tests don't reflect the class at all and it's frustrating. And you will fall asleep in class...guaranteed. Don't take this class
Very wierd but laughable. He gives lot of opportunities for grades and hwk. Some material will appear out of nowhere on the tests. Always smiling. Overall, a good experience.
Funny, interesting, an ENORMOUS econ nerd... but is off topic 75% of the time. Test are a B****, def. look at his old exams, and STAY UP WITH YOUR WORK, no joke. I dropped this class!!! Take Quinn!
Very nice guy...but his lectures have nothing to do with anything! Drops lowest test grade and has lots of daily grades. He tries to help, but it really does not work! MUST GO TO CLASS..TESTS ARE FROM LECTURES
This class was easy for me. He drops the lowest test grade and has lots of bonus. The lectures help some, but reading the book is a must. He puts old versions of the tests online and they are the exact same as his test. Highly reccomended.
This guys sucks, he is very hard and doesnt really know what he is talking about. Dont take him Matt
well...i love the guy!! But economics is not for me! His test are a little frustrating, and his lectures are not that helpful. But you cant be mad at him. hes a really nice guy. i have a c, but i know others with an A. So its possible...if your good at that kinda stuff.
Definitely a space cadet and he even admits it. His tests are very unclear and frustrating but the old exams at least give you an idea of what to expect. The problem sets are boring when you try to sell chickens, but what can you do. He is a nice guy, but his style of lecture doesnt work for me.
Well, the guy is different... I don't think I have ever heard anyone say "pretty cool" as many times as he did, and if you had him you know exactly what I am talking about. Decent professor, just off the wall with his random comments. I thought the class was pretty tough.
Nice guy tests cover material but not what he has taught. No real point in attending class other than he takes attendance everyday. But here are some hints. Take the practice exams, and show up because you get points, but you must be able to use critical thinking to pass the tests.
Always have to read something that he still hasn't taught in class. However, easy multiple choice exams. If you read the book and look over previous exams, you will definitely get an A. Lot's of extra credits, and very easy online quizes.

Helpfull teacher, not very clear on class material but do the chapter reviews and look over old test and you can get an A.
I actually took him for micro and macro. I made a 79.3 in his class and went in and i went in and talked to him all the time and he still gave me a C. class was pointless but you had to go for points. his test were really difficult. i dreaded the class everyday.

Took this guy and did aweful in the class. He is really nice though! I am not a math person and his tests consist of a lot of it and reasoning! I am taking this class again under someone else. he gives out online quizes though and HW assignments. These should help the grade too.

Lovett is a nice guy, but his tests are ridiculous. He teaches like a kindergarden teacher and then you get the test and it is like a foreign language. Do not take him if you want to keep a good GPA
AWFUL CLASS!! It just gets to the point where you don't even want to go to it anymore. Tests are impossible.. whoever wrote the above reviews are crazy. I read the book.. studied old tests.. got a tutor.. and managed a 69.3.. but heaven forbid that be a C. Dont take him !!!!
He is a nice guy but he doesnt teach that well. I got an A in micro b/c I studied alot. Macro on the other hand was pretty tough! I would take him only if you like econ. and are willing to go to class.
this class is terrible. terrible teaching and tests suck. homework sucks as well. do not take lovett's class. class is boring. i studied so much and still barely managed a C. worst class ever.

I am am education major, not Econ. The hisory part was great, but the Econ was more details than I needed. The tests are hard, study a lot! but he will pull the essays from the study guides- know lots of details, and how to gererate and explain any graphs. Attendance is a must, take detailed note and read the book twice!!!, you
i dont consider him a teacher, he didnt teach
This class in by no means easy, but he gives tons of extra worksheets and online assignments to really help you understand the material. Can act childish in class, but it's usually funny and can keep it entertaining. If you put in the studying and the work you can get an A.
Coming into this course I was very excited and had an awesome experience in Macroeconomics. I soon found out that Lovett doesnt know how to teach, and doesnt test on what he teaches, doesnt test from the book, or any of the provided material. He teaches and tests on a level that isnt introductory.
Very hard class but nice professor! The tests are extremely hard but if you go over old tests that it helps a lot. Also if you go to his office hours he is very helpful. He has problem sets, participation points, and attendance points so those help your grade a lot. I would recommend this class but requires a lot of effort.
Hard class. Takes attendance every day which counts towards your grade. Material he teaches is different from what is in your textbook; tests are very difficult and tricky. I would avoid this professor.
He is one of the worst teachers I have ever had. His careless errors are endless in his teaching, and they left me with little confidence in what was factual and what was a typo. Nice person, not TCU quality though.
his tests are written while orbiting an unearthly place. if you go to class, you may have a chance, but he goes off topic a lot and tests over mostly book stuff (which is a chore in itself to comprehend) old tests are online, so thats a plus. advice-shop around for another econ prof.
He's a cool guy! He uses time to kind of explain what you were supposed to of read ON YOUR OWN! He uses his website often and is very willing to help. He's entertaining! If you want to do well in the class, you can! I'm taking him again next semester for Macro!
If you can get past his stupid humor and not let that distract you from the class, he's a good teacher. You need to know stuff out of the book, but it's not that bad. He really knows his stuff and is really willing to help, he's just not always clear. Good grades are very easy to come by as long as you do the reading and homework
i honestly don't see hwo this guy could get any bad reviews, he clearly tells you whats going to be on the tests and he tells really dorky jokes all class period. Very possible to pull an A in
This was on of the easiest classes I have ever taken. Dr Lovett is a little goofy sometimes, but in general he's a very good teacher, and does his best to make things interesting. If you read the book and do the quizes assigned, you're almost certain of a good grade.
He's a great teacher and never fails to keep things interesting. He rambles a bit but other than that, he is a great teacher who really promotes class participation in arespectful way. If you read the book, go to class and look at old exams online, you definitely get an A.
Took him for US Economic History 1790 to the present. He barely got past the Civil War. Terrible prof who's lectures mean nothing and teaches wacky stuff mostly from the book. Don't take his classes if at all possible.
This is the worst teacher I've had at TCU. He will waste your time with pointless subjects you could have figured out in high school. My homework has Barney on it. Nuff said.
Terrible. Worst teacher. Do Not Take, even if you have to. It's not worth it.
I would strongly recommend against taking Dr. Lovet unless you absolutely have to.. make sure you go to his office hours to get help with problem set is that is really the only thing that will help your grade.. his tests get harder as you go along and his final comes out of no where.. look elsewhere for micro or macro if at all possible.
Funny guy. Hard tests. Office hours are helpful for the problem sets. Pay close attention to his lectures.
He was hard to understand! i just guessed my way through the class on his tests...the problem sets are kind of hard and he takes attendence! You are only allowed 3 absences or u get 10 points off! Tests are hard unless you really understand macro!
For every test, he post the questions from the previous years test that you should look at. There are problem sets that count for one fifth of your grade and they are easy A's that take 5 minutes each. I studied the old exams that he post online and got a A in the class. Study the old exams and you will be fine. I talks about his daughters alot, bu
He is all over the board during his lessons. Very hard to understand most of the time. Def isn't the worst teacher I've ever had, but very difficult to follow and know what to learn. He's nice and a little strange. I wouldn't recommend him personally. I was dissapointed in this class.
I have taken two classes with doctor Lovett, Intro to Macro and U.S. Economic History II. Dr. Lovett is a great professor and with some studying his test are bad. He is a professor that wants to see his students do well, he even post his old exam on his website. He's very easy to get a hold of and returns emails quickly. Great professor!
You got to Lovett!
hilarious, interesting class. he's hard but i always enjoyed going to class. all in all i think i learned a lot
Fairly easy as long as you take notes and attend class. He takes questions directly from his old tests which he gives you. He's very entertaining and I would definitely suggest taking him.
Great professor! He's crazy and eccentric, but in the best way. Makes class time interesting, although his notes are somewhat confusing. Puts old tests on internet for you to study. Gives you many opportunities to improve your grade...worksheets, reading quizzes, extra credit. Take LOVETT!
He is slightly boring but his class is easy. Half of your grade is online quizzes that you can use your book on and can take multiple times. Old tests are online. Easy A
Very funny and interesting. The way he teaches you feel u didn't learn anything till you are in class but once you think abt the class u'll realzie u learned so much. easy grader, go to class and do the assignments u'll b fine.
Very knowledgable about economics but not that great of a teacher. He is a pretty awkward guy but that makes class somewhat entertaining. Tests are pretty tricky if you havent read or studied. Go to class and do assignments
Good professor- knows his stuff. slightly disorganized but very helpful. you get points for attendance so go to class! Puts old tests online to study- these are helpful. Makes macroecon interesting and is a funny guy. Take him for economics!
He is knowledgeable and his lectures are entertaining because he makes the goofiest little jokes here and there. Class is easy. His book is online and he wrote it. Your grade (+/-) depends on exams, quizzes, problem sets, and attendance all of which he drops one or more of the worst grades. HIGHLY RECOMMEND weather you like econ or not.
I really enjoyed this class. The teacher is hilarious, friendly and approachable. He wrote his own textbook, so its free and online. His tests are harder than he prepares you for but the average test grade is still a B+. I highly recommend this class
Great teacher! Extremely helpful in and out of class. Teaches lessons in a way we can all understand. He makes silly jokes a lot in class (funny jokes, not "hey let's laugh so he doesn't hate us" jokes) which helps to lighten up the lecture. DO THE HOMEWORK! Not just for the credit but because it really does help you understand the material.
Dr. Lovett was a fantastic professor!! His class made Econ kinda fun. He gives you old tests on his website to help you study and can answer any questions during his office hours. In fact, all I did was read and do some sample questions and I got a 100 on the final! Great teacher and highly recommend him!
Entertaining professor but the lectures rarely teach more than the book (and usually a lot less). He wrote the text book: it's around $80 but it's a workbook so you can't return it at the end of the semester. Overall he's a great guy and it's an easy class.
He has a quirky sense of humor which makes the class much more enjoyable.
This guy is weird. Weirder than weird. But he is a very good prof. Not the most interesting class, but he does a good job at teaching it and he tries to keep the class interested. He uses lots of good examples that will stick with you. His tests are pretty difficult, especially compared to what is gone over in class. but not hard to get a solid B.
Ok I am in his into to macro class and I honestly think he is the most confusing teacher I have ever taken. He is so ADD on everything and jumps around ALL the time I find it nearly impossible to successfully take notes. Its very difficult to tell what is actually important in the lecture.
Very wierd/ADD teacher. GO SEE HIM IN OFFICE HOURS!!! If you see him in office hours, he will clarify things a lot and will give you the right answers for your reading quizzes. The tests are almost all multiple choice, and pretty easy. You have to go to class (he gives points for attendance), but I would definitely reccomend him.
He can be confusing, but he is really good with clearing things up if you meet with him during his office hours. He's really funny, which keeps the class interesting, and it's not too hard. He drops your lowest test grade, as well as your lowest quiz and homework grades. I'm in his Macro class and I would recommend him
Mr. Lovett is AWESOME! this is a great class. He is very quirky and funny which makes class easy to sit through. he wrote the textbook, and its not boring. He drops a test grade which meant I got to skip the final. I definitely recommend this class!
Lovett is really quirky and can get off topic, but overall a good teacher. His book is really well written and gives tons of examples to help. He drops your lowest test, quiz and problem set score. Really nice guy and easy enough class. I would take him again. You have to go to class though! Mandatory attendance!
He is a very loopy teacher. He knows his stuff but he uses very confusing examples to teach the class. At times the class is very boring and his corney jokes tend to get annoying after awhile.
Very nice guy who knows what he's talking about. Very helpful. Definitely try to take him
Dr. Lovett is HILARIOUS! He makes going to class fun. The one problem he has is he's EXTREMELY disorganized! He'll spend half of class handing papers back and has to rush through class to cram everything in. His problem sets can be challenging, but if you read, you'll do well in the class.
His MacroEcon course has been great to attend. He's a bit disorganized and often shifts tests and assignment dates, but outside of that, he does a great job. Very clear and takes just the right amount of grades (as well as plenty of extra credit opportunities).
I loved Lovett's class! I am never bored during his lectures. He's very quirky and funny! There's 4 tests and some problem sets, but it's all relatively easy. I study 2 hours max for each test. I would recommend.
He's a good guy, but he can be offensive to his students. Several of the jokes he attempted to make were at the expense of his students. Super-easy course, I think I opened the book twice, but I wish he had better personal (and spelling!) skills.
Great guy, wicked funny in that awkward guy kind of way. He really does care and will be more than happy to help you. You don't really have to pay attention in class, just show up for attendance, and read the book. Also take the quizzes he puts on his website and you'll be fine
(Macro) Dr. Lovett is very funny, which kept me alert during his class. He was available outside of class and his tests were not hard. You do miss points if you miss class more than three times. I highly recommend him for introductory macroeconomics.
This professor, mark my words, is absolutely horrible. I signed up for Intro to Macroeconomics. I am an Econ major. BELIEVE ME. He doesn't even teach macro. He just rambles on about random subjects that have NOTHING to do with macro. His jokes, while at first quite hilarious, get seriously annoying as he doesn't even do his job. DON'T TAKE
I have no earthly idea how anyone can ever get anything below a B in Lovett's classes. Tests are easy,no need to read the book. He often digresses, and he is an awkward, corny, guy in the best way possible! Go to class and get an easy A, as long as you can stand cheesy jokes.
Dr. Lovett is a cool dude. Despite this, I really did not enjoy his class. He always went off on tangents completely unrelated to the topic at hand. Also, the book we use was written by him and there are multiple errors in the book. Nevertheless, the class is extremely easy and one should be able to make a B no problem.
pretty easy class as long as you read the book which isn't hard at all because he wrote the book! he sometimes goes off topic and it gets boring but its not an impossible class. definitely one of the better macro teachers. easy A if you study and work hard
Incredibly easy class...sometimes too easy to the point that I can't believe it is a college class and not high school. Lectures are pretty slow as he takes a long time to explain elementary theories and formulas. He makes class entertaining with his odd sense of humor, plus provides review sessions and good study materials online.
Pretty nice guy, but awful communication skills. Never answers emails, jokes (he immediately calls bad) distract from lectures, and he doesn't handle questions from students very well. Not too hard of a class, but definitely not one I look forward to every day.
Very confusing when trying to explain topics..tells horrible and jokes. One positive is that he holds review sessions and has practice exams online. Attendance is mandatory, but he is very flexible if you are sick or going to miss with a legit excuse.
My favorite teacher this semester! He is hilarious and made me absolutely LOVE Econ! TAKE HIM! He genuinely cares about his students and holds review sessions before all his exams. He made me laugh out loud every class but also taught me so much! Highly recommend this professor.
Dr. Lovett is great. Yes he does tell quirky jokes during class, but he's a nice guy that will help you if you ask. He's a little slow with emails sometimes, but when he does answer, he's pretty thorough. Take his class, he's great!
Asks a lot for a class most people are taking for core.
AVOID!! Expects you to be there for every class, otherwise it's -4. Class is very dull and boring, he is not very structured either- can be all over the place. Overall, he isn't very hard, but I would avoid if possible.
Dr. Lovett is the man. Easy tests and easier grader if you show up to class everyday. Also tells quirky jokes that are so bad they are funny. Highly recommend taking him at TCU.
John is great. He loves coal and steam punk. Real honest about what he knows and doesn't. Fair grader. His sense of humor is an acquired taste but if you appreciate cringe humor he's funny. Don't expect him to remember your name let alone pronounce it correctly.
Lovett is an awesome guy, took his Industrial Revolution class and loved it. He brought in awesome models for technology from the Middle Ages to demo topics and all the tests were based entirely on the lecture material so you don't have to read. 2 papers, one 3,000 word and one 5,000, but you can use most of the 3,000 word one in the 5,000 word one
Talks about weird things during his lectures, he replies email several days later or doesn't reply at all. His textbook is very confusing and readings are very long.
I love Lovett! His classes are so entertaining because of how odd he is/ how bad his constant jokes are, but he is aware of it which makes it funnier. He wants everyone to do well & is always available to help. class material is kinda boring (as is every econ hist class) but somehow teaches it in a way that is engaging and easy. 11/10 TAKE HIM!!!
I love this professor! It's an ECON class, so you are used to reading a lot! He does quizzes every week, and attendance is mandatory (you can only miss three classes, or your grade will be affected). He is funny, but you must pay attention in class to get a good grade. There is only a big paper at the end of the semester and four exams. TAKE NOTES!
This teacher is the weirdest and most uncomfortable person . He doesnt help you when you straight up tell him you are struggling. It is hit or miss wheether he post your "daily" quiz or not causing you to miss them and fail them. Then he wont answer and extend things when he messes up. Dont know how this teacher still exist here.
This guy doesn't help at all. Me and my other friends who are in the other class all are experiencing the same problems. he doesn't put the quizzes up till late and so you end up missing them receiving a zero then when you email him and ask if he can let you make it up he either doesn't respond or rudely tells you no even though it was his fault
He is a weird guy... but I liked him a lot and very genuine! intro to Macro isn't too bad just pay attention and do the study guide and you will do great. I don't dread his class bc he's a great teacher, gives examples which are weird but actually helpful and makes a boring subject bearable. just make sure you go to class.
I was one of those people who failed economics in high school but Lovett has a really fun way of teaching and although he does rant quite a lot his class is never boring, I think he's a great econ professor and I would take him for even micro if he taught it.
Cares for his students. Clearly loves what he teaches. Values input and participation. Great professor. I would take a class of his again, if possible.
Makes you buy and read the textbook he wrote. Easy class, easy A, fun teacher although he may be strange with his demonstrations, I enjoyed my time in his class.
Lovett is a great professor he truly cares about his students. He's hilarious in his own way and really wants everyone to succeed. Prepare to hear a lecture most of the class time but he prints out packets each week to help with note-taking to make sure you have the info you need.
Dr Lovett is a great professor who wants you to succeed and you will 100% do well if you show up and listen in class as well. Reading ahead of time can guarantee extra credit points every class and going to office hours to review before an exam is super helpful! Lectures are easy to follow and engaging.
Professor Lovett is a great guy, however, he is not the best professor. He gets side tracked and off-topic very easy. Attendance is mandatory but you would be better off never showing up to class. He is a funny guy but it is hard to stay focused and he gets so off-topic it is hard to understand the material and do well on exams.
Professor Lovett was a caring and intentional instructor. His lectures were engaging and he created an environment for students to interact with the class and ask questions. This class did involve a lot of reading outside of class, but it was beneficial. Overall, I recommend Professor Lovett and would take his course again!
Dr Lovett made every class interesting and engaging. The workload was relatively light and mainly revolved around reading a textbook chapter and discussing it in class. Test reviews were always direct examples of what the actual exam was like. Overall the class was very enjoyable, and made me very excited about being in the business school.
Too much work. 3 exams + final on paper. A semester long research project that requires 2 papers from group work and a final 4000 words paper. 3 quizzes a week and extra credit only for watching his 2-hour historic documentaries outside class time. P/NC because I don't want to spend that much time on history research for an ECON course.
While Prof. Lovett has a unique teaching style, his ECON10223 class is engaging and rewarding. The workload is manageable, and Unstuck study proved helpful for exam prep alongside the textbook.
Professor Lovett is a great professor! Take him! I took ap micro in high school and was nervous for macro but this class was so much easier. He is funny and goes off on tangents often but is very engaging. I never dreaded going to this class. You can get bonus points everyday if you answer a question. Exams are easy if u study. Best prof! Take him!
Professor Lovetts class is very lecture heavy and often doesn't correlate well with his textbook. Attendance is mandatory and you will have homework quizzes after EVERY CLASS. No matter how much I study for these exams I feel like I'm never prepared and do very poorly. He does offer a bonus for participation but overall wouldn't recommend it,
I don't know why his rate is bad like this bc I think it is an easy A class when you can have a lot of extra points by raising your hand, which one extra point = one point in your exam. The test is similar to the guide for each test. You have to practice it and GO TO CLASS if u want to get good score.
I've taken his class for two semesters now and I love his class so much. His lectures are funny and he genuinely cares about his students. As long as you pay attention in class you will do well. He also offers a lot of extra credit. His classes really remind me why I love economics.
I have had Dr. Lovett for two semesters, soon to be three, and he is the best! Show up to class, take notes, and you will do well. Daily online quizzes but they help your grade and the exams are so similar to the review. He is very understanding if you need to miss class also!
Dr. Lovett is a fantastic professor, I've had him for two semesters now. He's kind, caring, and makes class genuinely fun. His humor keeps lectures engaging, and he truly wants his students to succeed. He also offers plenty of extra credit. Take him! You won't regret it!
Mr. Lovett was an awesome teacher! The class is easy as long as you try and read the textbook. He also gives out a lot of extra credit for answering questions in class. I really enjoyed learning about economics and his classes were engaging and fun. However, his lectures are confusing at times (especially if you do not do the reading).
