I took him for both 2100 and 2150. Guess why I took him for the second english class? Really helpful when it comes to papers, he'll even fix 'em for you, and then grade them just to give you an A or A-.

If you want a good professor take him. But I'd recommend him because he is very wise and very kind. Great man to talk about spiritual matters. He's not like the confused liberals who hate America in this school! He's LEARNED from life and not just a book.

I thought this class was really easy. Got an A on every single essay. wrote them all the night before in about 2-3 hrs. there was no final either. he's really nice so if you do need help, he'd be more than willing to give it to you. sure it was kinda boring, but what english class isn't?

Take his class because he's an excellent professor. Not only is he funny but he's helpful and understanding too. He makes the class very entertaining by making jokes here and there. Don't listen to those who believe he's a horrible professor because you're losing out if you don't take him.

You can think freely, try new styles... but really, he doesn't teach much about grammar. but it's an Eng 2150 class in college, not an esl or high school english class, so you sohuld be responsible for your grammar.

I'm taking the class now and this professor is intelligent, interesting, and funny. He is laid back and down to earth as well. Probably one of the best, if not the best, English professor in Baruch. Doesn't overwork you and the material is very easy.

You have to write many essays, and read the stories because he gives suprise quizes, but you won't even feel like it's a lot of work. He is also funny and helpfull.

Professor Lux is truly one of the most interesting people I know, not just a professor. He is very helpful and teaches you about very important life lessons. His class is great, essays only and no final or midterms. If you have a problem, talk to him and he'll give you a second chance. He is great. =)

Prof. Lux is one of the best English professor in Baruch. You actually learn something that you can apply to your own life. His themes are all interesting and the essay topics are very interesting to write about. Take him! You will not regret it!!!

I would echo the other positive comments. Very smart, down to earth, great to work with. The readings are reasonable and he relates the material to life experience. I would sign up for any class he was teaching.

My favorite class for my first semester at Baruch. the class was fun and the teacher is awesome but of course you got to do the readings and essays or else yor're no good. he's a funny guy and very helpful...the only class i got an A in...

old guy is very strict about grammar, the first time I submit my paper without proofread then I got a D. So I went to writing center every time before I handed my paper. I got A in the end. 4 essay + 1 in class essay. Dude miss his class 5-6 times, and he always has some excuses. late grader, overall is not bad though.

I walked into this class thinking it would just be an easy A, but I actually learned a lot from him. The stories and writing topics he selected really inspired me and got me thinking about life. You have the chance to express yourself and write creatively without worrying about strict grading. I agree, this guy is a blessing.

Professor Lux is the easiest English professors one can have! His lectures were somewhat boring due to the fact that he is the only one talking and he repeats everything at least 10 times. Participation in class doesn't matter as he never stops talking. 4 books and 1 movie. 4-5 essays (2-3 pages) and one in-class essay (very linearly graded).

Believe me,I have seen many good professors in Baruch College, but no one can be compared with Prof.Lux. He wants you to write clearly and correctly.He is an excellent personality.Very easy class.He take easy quizzes and essays are very easy to write.All the essays are 2 pages(doubled spaced.THE BEST PROFESSOR OF BARUCH COLLEGE!!!

Mr. Lux is humble, full of wisdom and has a sense of humor. His assigned readings are all very defined works of literature. He taught me a lot about life. The teacher I had last semester made me nervous about my writing but Lux brought confidence back in me. Very nice guy and generous grader. Professor Lux I salute to you!

This English class was very different from any other English class I had taken before. He focused more on readings that reflected on the flaws of human beings and thoughtful suggestions to eliminate some of those flaws. His class was very insightful and overall not very demanding. 7 essays 2 of which are in-class. Quizzes count as extra credit.

VERy helpful, explains all the stories so clearly and then test you on it...gives small quizes which just increases your grade. Very good professor, must take him!

Prof. LUX is the best and easiest English prof at Baruch. Please reserve a seat before he retires. Easy essays, short quizzes, and good reading materials. It is worth going to his class, just listen to him and you will learn a lot. You don't have to talk, cuz he does all the talking. Very laid back. Just sit at the back and relax... Awesome prof!

greatest professor ever. He was very laid back and understanding. He takes attendance but you can miss a couple of classes and if you really cant be there email him day before he wont even count it as an absence. Papers were easy since he helped alot. Hes really nice just talk to him and hes always willing to help

Hes very knowledgeable and teaches you about life. If you like to think, take this class. If you are ESL, avoid this class--your grade will suffer because he grades grammar very strictly. If you like to sleep in class, do not take it, dont waste space for people who actually want to listen to him. Hes very wise.

Professor Lux is simply AMAZING! He makes you think about your own life through assigned readings! His lectures had great impact on me! I took many notes just for myself, cause I felt that what he tells is very important for each individual! Don't take him if you don't care and have no desire to listen to him and analyze life! His class in very interesting; lots of analysis, lots of writing. He'll know if you use internet for your papers. He gives a chance to earn extra credit throughout a semester. Overall, if you take his class he?ll teach you to pay attention to smallest details.

My Best Professor ever. 7 papers total one in class. All of them are very easy to write.

the easiest professor that you will probably ever have. He gave 7x 2 page essays(one in class for final) and short stories to read every week. Missed class a bunch of times but he's an old guy that lives far so it was expected.

he is the best. i thought i will fail his class but he gave me time to improve. if you have perfect grammar then its an easy A. books needed, for short stories, daily quizs and 7 papers (2-3) pages each.

While Professor Lux is not that challenging, it was a pleasure to listen to his lectures about life. Most of our lectures/assignments are about human nature. My writing skills may not have improved significantly but I'm sure I will never forget the things he taught.
