Don't take him! I got a D in his class and really studied! The problem is that you don't know what to study for in his test. Everything in the book is covered in lecture therefore, you have to study everything for the test. For his lab test, you must spell very word correctly, if you are off by one letter in the word, he will take 1/2 pts off.

Dr. McDaniel is pretty intimidating at first, but he's actually very willing to answer any questions you may have about the material. I took his anatomy class over the summer and I studied every day. Make sure to utilize your lab time and take the time to study the cadavers. As long as you study his slides, you'll be fine! His grading is very fair.

He's a good person overall. However, just the lectures and test itself were terrible. I'm went from a straight A student to a F. His test were quite hard and too much information being throw at you. Anatomy is a hard course but this was something way different in terms of learning.

Grade is based off quizzes and tests, zero extra credit. Getting an A at first is doable but keeping it is EXTREMELY difficult, good luck with that! He's not the most approachable professor and doesn't volunteer info in lab. Don't be afraid, ASK QUESTIONS, it's your grade! You will learn a lot if you make it out alive, no joke! read SJSU reviews!

DO NOT take this class over the summer! Difficult teacher who does not give any extra credit, study guides or review worksheets for exams. He does curve the exams, which helps a little. Very intimidating teacher, which makes it even harder to ask him questions. You are pretty much on your own and be ready to work extremely hard during the semester

His exams are very straightforward from his lectures. All you gotta do is STUDY. He doesn't give extra credit but as long as you STUDY A LOT and do the labs, you're good.

Way of asking question v confusing - youll get it wrong even when you know the answer. No part cred on questions. Tests r unfair and cover <10% of material taught. Lab pract r brutal.

Lecture exams are hard, but all multiple choice. Lab exams are tough too but I was able to manage high A's for both. Stay on top of the material!

Good teacher, funny, but unapproachable. He doesn't specify what exactly will be on the exams, so studying can be difficult, especially since everything is cumulative. Highly recommend forming study groups and utilizing open lab hours to study the cadaver and models. To get an A, you need to study CONSTANTLY. Not the kind of class you can cram for.

Part 1 - Anatomy is a TOUGH class. McDaniel is SUPER intimidating, doesnt care about students, fair grader, his way or the high way type of person. However, he is VERY knowledgable & organized. Labs include memorizing 20 items from a model that can be difficult but if you attend lab hours, you'll succeed. Also memorizing 20's is beneficial to you.

This is a tough class, you have to put the time in. Don't rely on the curve but does help significantly. +20 points for final. +11-12 in labs. +1-2 1st exam, my cohort.

Lab +5-7, second lab +11-13 and Final +20 for my cohort. Nonetheless even with all of that the A is not easy. I averaged out at 90 per test and still only ended at 95%. STUDY.

Mcdaniels may seem tough at first but honestly he's reasonable. When you request for something and give a valid reason and a solution to your request or to say another option he will actually work with you, but be warned, make sure you converse as a professional or he may not comply with your request. Every one is seen as learning professionals.
