Best teacher I have ever had, really. He came out of retirement to teach again. He gives a good amount of homework but tells you what pages the answers are on. For the tests he tells you which questions on homework are on the test. Usually the majority of the test is multiple choice and some short answers/definitions.

I had no interest in econ before this class but he really made the class interesting -even on a Friday 2:30 marathon. He's funny and wants kids to really understand material. Powerpt presentation is easy, gives hw and checks it but it's just to make u read the text. u have to go to class- but it goes by fast. hes a life changing teacher!

Definitely my favorite professor. Loves to joke around with his students and keeps the class really interesting. Homework's generally easy and he clarifies the chapters in class after you've done the homework on them. He's very helpful in his office hours and is extremely nice. Highly, highly recommend him.

SUCH a funny guy. Spends about half of class poking fun at students. Sometimes goes way off track when teaching. The final was just our third exam, so it wasn't heavily weighted. The textbook he uses is very simple. Homework is so ridiculously simple. Definitely take him.

The course isn't difficult as long as you do relatively well on all the tests and turn in all the homework. One of the coolest, most humble, caring professors on this campus. He is a retired HS teacher so there are a lot of little assignments. The exams are just like the practice test and if you get an "A," you do not have to take the final. You must go to class, because attendance is taken. I definitely recommend his course. John Mullaly is the best micro Econ professor, he makes his class interesting and is hilarious. Economics classes don't come easy to me, but I managed to get a B in his class because of how helpful he was. The grade is based on 3 exams (25% each) and homework (25%). If you go to him outside of class and work hard he won't let you get below a B-.

All work is on paper, but it's not really hard. Some of it can be time consuming but doing it right helps you understand. He tells you exactly what's on the tests (3 tests total) so its easy to study. If you are struggling you NEED to go to extra help. You get credit for going, and what work you do in office hours are sheets exactly from the test.

Professor Mullaly is an awesome guy and great introduction into Providence College for me. Economics is often viewed as boring or dry, but this guy made it so much fun. Class itself wasn't too difficult, pretty middle of the line as far as college is concerned. He unknowingly cranks the stress level, however, especially when he mandates a project where you PERFORM A CHAPTER SUMMARY AS A GROUP WITH A SONG AND DANCE AND FILMS IT. Not the ideal situation when you're in your first college semester. Pretty jarring.

This professor is a gem - makes the dry subject of economics fun with his great humor and engaging lectures. The workload is manageable, and study tools like unstuck study can really help prep for tests. Definitely take this class if you can!
