This guy is the best! He overrides, too!
He was great! He's willing to help you as much as he can.
this guy is like a big teddy bear that you just want to squeeze... he is great! never in a bad mood!!
Curves a LOT. Easy class, if you can stay awake.
AVOID!!!!!!
hey this dude is the best and so darn sexy
I loved this class...it was an easy "A"...so easy to understand...always in a good mood...good motivator...unfortunately, was let go because of budget cuts...I was hoping to get him again...he curved every test...it was GREAT!
awesome professor..tests are pretty straight forward and easy..he also curves..
Fairly easy class, the material's just not that interesting. Uses Power Point slides for the class and posts them on Moodle. Tests were not very difficult but you do need to study, usually has a review before the test. Takes attendance daily and it counts as 100 points. Drops lowest test grade, so the final is optional.
Great teacher. Go to class, pay attention, and do the study guide. Super easy if you pay attention and study. I hghly recommend.
Really easy to understand. Uses powerpoint, very straightforward. Very little homework, and easy tests...just read over the material every now and then. Also curves!
Teacher was pretty good. Like others said, the material is boring but if you can manage to pay attention then the test arent too hard. Plus he does a review and gives out a study guide before each test. I've taken him for ECON 201 & 202 and the material has some similarities so once you grasp the basic concept the class isnt very difficult.
Boring. He reads straight from the slides, then embellishes, but by that point those who are ADD have already left the building mentally. If you are sick and miss class but have an excuse, you can get your absences back but not the points, which bit. It's an easy subject, and an easy class, if you pay attention.
Dude is so boring and will kick you out of class if you fall asleep his tests are a joke i recommend finding someone to sign your name and take the quiz because the class is a waste of time and the dude is a tard!
Awesome instructor! He is very down to earth. As long as you show interest, even if you think that the material is difficult to understand, he jumps to help you and you will understand after he talks to you. He is an instructor worth picking.

Class is easy if you do your work. THe MOST monotone person you will ever meet.
funny looking teacher, but very easy i wish i had him and this is coming from sumone who never studys
Really easy class. Just do assignments and you're guaranteed an A.
He's an awesome teacher. He basically tells you exactly what's on the test and he doesn't teach you anything you won't use outside the real world. He's great. Lots of bonus points offered too!
He is a great teacher! Very helpful if you don't understand something. Get a calculator that you can easily use because you will be using it a lot! You won't use the book much, he gives his own notes which are much more helpful than the book. Take him!!!
basically u will pass with and a or high b if you just go to class, take notes, and STUDY THE NOTES...he gives a full review the class before the test so studying is really a breeze.
very good teacher, nice person
Took him for ECON 201 and 202. Great teacher, but unfortunately I'll have to move on to other ECON teachers now. Most of the class is applied common sense, and his lectures match the book perfectly, so there's no need to take notes. It's easy to make an A or B on his tests without studying, so long as you attend every class and pay attention.
Great teacher. He is a really cool guy. I took 201 with someone else and wish i could have had him because i really understand the material alot better from the way he teaches it. He dropped our lowest test grade which is very helpful. Has a review for all the test which are helpful. I recommend him definitely
Good teacher.Gives a study guide and a review.Notes are on moodle.Do not need to take notes just study the book it is the same thing.
Mr. Must is an awesome teacher! Taking notes helped me, but it isn't necessary b/c they come from the book. He gives a full review for each test and is always willing to help if you need something. Use the book to study and you will be fine. Take him!!
His class is beyond easy! Pay attention in class, take notes from the review and you are sure to pass his class. I rarely ever studied for any of the tests. The catch though that screwed a lot of people in our class is attendance. He takes off a lot of points if you miss his class. Attendance itself counts as a 100 point grade.
don't you dare show up a minute after 8 or he'll call you out. only two small extra credit opportunities if you're lucky the tests weren't the easiest at least not for someone with no prior knowlege of the subject
One of the most monotone person and he would repeat things he said the class before but overall the class is really easy as long as you turn in all the assignments.
Easy A, just attend class and do the small amount of home work before its due. I did just about everything I needed to turn in within the first couple weeks of class. After that I only had to attend. Pass/Fail class, no tests
Mr. Must is an excellent professor. I was a freshman when I took his class. His notes are easy to take and if you miss anything you can always look in the book because everything comes out the book. His tests are straight forward.
He talks in monotone and also dragged on and on about one thing or another. Class is soo boring!! Gave 50 points for attentance. Dropped the loswest grade.
good teacher but gets attitude sometimes. grades really hard and attendance can screw you over...go to class! he drops the lowest grade which is cool but he also will call you out for just about anything in class
He is clear on what he expects and gives you exactly what is on the test before it happens. Extremely helpful as well
Could not have asked for a better teacher. Pay attention to lectures, look over PowerPoint presentations, and read through the chapters and this class will be an enjoyable one. He takes the time to make sure that the concepts are understood and can be applied. Will take this teacher whenever possible.
I thought Mr. Must did a good job of teaching. The class can get boring from time to time, especially if it is not a three day class. The tests are not that hard, but you do need to study, and not just study the night before. I would recommend him for economics.
Nice guy. Very clear instruction. His study guides have exactly what is going to be on the test. He gives extra points for attendance at the end of the semester. If you are happy with your grade at the end of the semester, you don't have to take the final. If you choose to take the final, he drops the lowest grade.
A good instructor for the course. Sometimes the class can be boring, but he does his best to make sure he gets the point across. Tests are not difficult if you study. Make sure you attend the class to get your bonus.
This teacher is extremely friendly. If you pay attention and study a little bit, you will get an A. He was the easiest teacher I have ever had and I've been in college for 10 years.
AWESOME TEACHER! has good examples that really help you grasp the subjects. I took this class 2 other times with Grecco and Watson, do not reccomend them, but Must is a must!
Professor Must is a good teacher. It is extremely hard to fail his class all you have to do is do a little studying. There's 4 tests. Final is optional and he drops the lowest test grade. He does take attendance though. And he gave my class one quiz. Take his class.
Everything he says comes off of a PowerPoint but he gives a really good review before each test. He expects you to go one step farther and not just know the basics of what he's teaching. Would definitely take him again if I had too.
Awesome man, very helpful. Like said before, Must is a must! Pay attention in class, dont use your phone (he takes off 5 final average points for phone use), show up on time.
Professor Must is one of my favorite teachers! I look forward to his class because of how easy he makes it. I took this class semeseter with Dr. Auccoin and failed. With John Must, I aced my first test and got a high B on my 2nd one! We havent taken another yet, but ik i'll do great because of him.. MUST IS A MUST!!!
Love, love, love John Must! He makes class really interesting and very easy to understand with real life examples. The book isn't really needed for class bc he uses powerpoints and the test questions are based off his powerpoints and his class lectures. Totally recommend for ECON 201 and 202. (oh! and come to class before the break, BONUS POINTS!!)
Mr. Must is a GREAT professor. I learned alot I needed to my freshman year of college. He made college seems so easy to take to your professors. HIGHLY REMCOMMEND him for ANY CLASS TAKEN IN BUSINESS!
Good professor. If you take good notes the class is easy. He is very helpful and he tells you what he is looking for on the test.
John Must is a must have.
Professor Must is really great. Come to class on time and with questions. I enjoyed his class more than any other I have taken.
Must was wonderful I got stuck taking a correspondence course the same semester I took his ECON course he offered extra help with my correspondence course. answers email promptly
Awesome and cool teacher. He makes it very interesting, and gives real life examples a lot to help us understand the different concepts of economics. Highly recommend him
Fairly easy class if you attend lectures. Before each test he will let you know exactly what's on it. Will have to buy a connect code. He puts power points on noodle so the book is only used when studying the topics he gives you. He's boring and likes a lot of feedback from students during lecture. I would recommend him.
I love Mr. Must and wish I could take him again. Lectures are mostly class discussions which is nice to have a teacher that doesn't read straight from a power point. There's a review before each test and he tells you EXACTLY what's on it. You can tell he cares about his students and really enjoys his job.
Very easy class if you go and do all connect! His final is optional and he drops the lowest test grade. He even let us correct one of our test! I failed my first Econ with Shannon and did really well in his class!
John Must was awesome. Really helpful and seemed to care about his students. Tests are super easy and theres no real need to study as long as you pay attention to the lectures, which he then gives you all the notes you need. He's great.
He's great. Must take. Just make sure you go to class and do your connect assignments.
Economics is a pretty dry subject, I find. Mr. Must puts his heart into it. His lectures come directly from the powerpoints he puts on moodle. I passed with an A even though my attention was 100% in class ( I am pretty good at teach myself material though....) John Must is one of the most loved economics professors on campus and I attest to it.
I took Shannon Auccion for ECON 201 and failed. Took Mr. Must and got an easy C. He gives online connect assignments throughout the semester that can make or break you worth 100 points total, 4 tests worth 50 points each and a final worth 100 points. He even gives a ton of extra credit to make up for if you forget to do a connect assignment. EASY
Took him for ECON 201 and just took him for ECON 202. Great teachers, tries to make his lectures fun. Cool laid back personality, but DON'T disrespect him by using your phone in class. He didn't grade on attendance, but it is beneficial to take notes. Also,on review day he will call out a list of terms you need to know for the test. STUDY THE BOOK!
So easy!
Mr. Must is a fine teacher, but he is monotonous and lecture heavy. Make sure he doesn't catch you using your phone, or he will kick you out.
A really good professor who really knows the content he is teaching. At the beginning of the semester he tells you that you need a textbook, but you really don't use it at all. Just buy the Connect code online because it comes with a digital book and thats where all the homework is. He tells you exactly whats on his test the class before. Easy A.
If you have he option, take this man.
Great guy.
He is a True Teacher! Would take him again 10 times over! Gives great lectures, give an attendance bonus at the end of the semester, test are pretty easy, do all the extra point assignments, talk to him if you can make something. He is super great! Take him! Promise it will be the best way to learn Economics!
Spends more time calling students out for being on their phones than he does lecturing. Difficult to understand and tests are challenging. Majority of what was learned came from online activities that were required online through Connect, not from lectures. Attendance was taken every day. Not so much a bad professor, but I was hoping to learn more.
Absolutely love this man, he actually made Econ somewhat enjoyable to learn. Unfortunately next semester will be his last one teaching. If you have the chance to take him, I would highly recommend it.
He's a great professor. He does kick people out of class for playing on their phones because he finds it disrespectful, which it is. Pay attention to the study guide days before the test and he tells you exactly whats on the test, all you have to do is study!
Mr. Must is a must have! Very easy class. Gives extra credit. Before every test he will tell you exactly what is on the test. Do not disrespect him by using your phone. He is a very caring and understanding man. Go to class and do the Connect assignments and you will be perfectly fine!
He's ok. You really don't learn much in class. He gives you a study guide of what is exactly on the test but sometimes even that doesn't help. You basically teach yourself from the book before the test. Do the connect assignments and extra credit and you'll be fine.
There are so many bonus opportunities so take advantage of them. The test are challenging but you should not get any lower than a C on the test. After all of my bonus's, I ended up with a 102% in the class. Definitely recommend taking him.
He's very passionate about what he teaches. the book was not needed so don't even bother buying it. I studied from quizlet and still made good grades. Go to class to get your attendance points and do all of his bonus assignments and you should be fine.
He tries to make lectures interesting. Do not play on your phone or he will call you out. We used a connect code for homework and make sure to keep up with due dates yourself because he doesn't remind you. Tests are easy multiple choice. Make sure to go to test review days. Notes and worksheets are good ways to study. Final was optional.
Besides the fact that he sounds like Winnie-the-Pooh, he's a great professor. Just be mindful that Connect homework assignments are random, and he does not remind you to do them. Study for the tests at least a week ahead of time and you should be at least a C, but probably a B. Just work hard in the class, and you'll do fine.
I had Mr Must for Econ 201 and enjoyed it so much that I changed my major to econ. I have him for 202 and I have to say, I am not pleased. There are so many graphs that he just reads from and doesn't really explain it is so boring. I had to go back and teach myself the concepts.
His lectures were a little boring, just going off of slides but his tests are fairly easy and he tells you exactly the material you need to study. He grades fair and is honesty a caring professor.
Nice, caring, dude, but was useless in class. He just reads from the online textbook and managed to confuse me where the book didn't. I enjoy learning about economics, yet I couldn't focus in class because of how boring he made it. If you don't enjoy economics, buckle up. Final was optional though so that was cool.
He is so sweet and is always there to help you so long as you go and see him in his office or after class. His class can be boring but it's more so the course material then him. Just show up to class, pay attention, do the connect assignments and you should be set.
Must is an amazing teacher. He is open and enjoys discussion outside of class to be able to get to know his students better. I have taken him once and plan on taking him again. He gives a lot of extra credit opportunities and has an optional final exam. Great professor!
He is just a really good guy that loves talking to all of his students. Class wise, he likes talk in depth with his lectures, doesnt read off the powerpoint when hes talking, and hes very straightforward. He is the nicest professor Ive had at UL so far. I recommend taking him ASAP
He's extremely lecture heavy but in this case its not the best because he's so scatter brained and so his lectures aren't the most helpful. His exams aren't terrible but you definitely need to study. I think COVID19 helped boost my A but I had one before we moved to remote learning. NO PHONES! he does not play about that
