He is an all-around great teacher to take for speech. He explains things very well and his exams along with the grading of the speeches are not hard at all. Great Teacher!!!!

I was very afraid to take speech class. But I took it in the summer so I can get it out of the way.. and besides, it's much more faster. When I entered his class I was intimidated, but as class went on, he turned out to be a fun teacher. He is great, and makes learning fun.

Very intelligent, very professional. All the material he puts out is extremely helpful and so is he. Great class to take if it's a requirement. There are no TESTS, in case you're wondering, only the mid-term and final. If at all possible, I would recommend NOT missing any of his classes, very strict on attendace.

It was incredible on how much the class learned from Mr. Nash and how enjoyable it was. I was not excited to take this class but he made it so comfortable for everyone!

But I have never seen a teacher publicly criticize with no brutality. Nash was a good teacher, but he has his specific requirements. In his online class, I felt like he was too strict on quiz due dates. If your not a procrastinator, you may not want to take the online course. He seems gay, but thats oky, he's too picky for my liking, needs more flexibility.But he does know his stuff.

SUCH a good teacher. He told you exactly what he wanted and was really helpful. Tests/Quizzes were easy if you paid the slightest bit of attention. I hate speeches and he made me feel more at ease. VERY RECOMMENDED.

Give this man 1 million red hot peppers! He is one of the BEST instructors this school has to offer. It is an easy class if you DO YOUR WORK as assigned. He doesn't mess around with slackers or "dog ate my homework" but if you take his class serious, you will do great! I avoided taking this class for a decade but with NASH you are good to go!

This was a pretty easy class. We just had 3 speeches that we recorded and submitted and assignments every week to prepare for the speeches. He was always accessible by email if I had any questions.

Took his online class. Each week there was a quiz and an assignment (outline, submit research, etc) and 3 speeches. Posted work 2 weeks before it was due. Very attentive to the class. He even reached out to me when I had accidentally missed an assignment and still gave me full credit. Responds quickly to emails. Would definitely recommend!!

Very organized. He is kind of a tough grader but he tells you exactly what he wants! Gives you an outline, gives you examples and goes over it. Has lots of extra credit opportunities. He is nice guy but is there to teach and makes sure you are learning. Not a fan off the group activities.

Tough grader, a little to serious at times. Makes you feel kind of dumb for asking questions. He does however however give lots of extra credit opportunities but they are all after class and cost $. I think there should be more extra credit where everyone is able to participate.

Overall hes an OKAY teacher. The only thing is that he makes everyone get to know each other so if youre uncomfortable with that you wouldnt like this class. He has an online quiz once a week. He gets a bit serious sometimes and puts you on blast and makes you feel dumb when you ask a question. He offers extra credit after class WHICH REALLY HELPS!

Easy A. I came in blind with never taking a speech class and got worried when the first assignment was given for a class introduction when I did poorly on it. I really enjoyed his class and even know when someone is speaking I will point out some of the topics learned in the class. Get the E Book as buying it at the book store is a waste...

One of the coolest teachers at moraine! He is the man! He is the speech coach, so he is the perfect person to take. If you fear public speaking, he makes you feel more comfortable when giving speeches in class. He also gives you a rubric and if you follow it exactly, you should receive a good grade. Also online quizzes, but u get to use ur textbook

super easy class even tho speech class can be daunting. pay attention, and pick interesting topics you like so the speech part will come naturally. hes a great teacher and is very very kind and will help with anything you need. he gave out quizzes in class and online thru black board but were super easy as long as you used the book.

I took COM103 with Prof Nash for Fall 2017 semester online. I didn't know he was one of the coaches for the Speech &amp; Debate team. He was a tough grader on the outlines &amp; the speeches. But, if you put in effort &amp; do the work, you should be fine. The final was easy. He gave lots of extra credit for showing up to the Speech team's showcases.

By far one of my favorite teachers, if you do what he asks and he sees you trying, he will do his best to help you achieve the grade you want. There's a lot of easy points in the class and some good extra credit. Speeches are easy, he let's you look at them ahead of time.

Professor Nash really goes out of his way to prepare his students. This is a public speaking class so as long you prepare for your speeches you will do well. Classes were always entertaining and engaging. He offers plenty of extra credit at the end of the semester. He is a tough grader but as long as you follow the rubric youll do fine!

Great professor for college 101, few quizzes based off the book which you can use the book for. Easy A class.

Don't know about other classes but for all incoming students take this professor for College 101. He gives you the textbook for free online and is super nice and an easy A. There's a decent bit of work but nothing too much and it all takes less than an hour every week. Take him 10/10 recommend him.

This was one of the easiest classes I've ever taken. It was all online so basically you just do everything that's on the calendar. Make sure to turn in discussions on time because you won't get full credit. Also gives you a free textbook online which comes in handy with homework. I would definitely recommend taking this course with Professor Nash.

This was the best and most organized online class I have taken. So easy to follow. You just need to do the work. He answers emails super fast. Grades things almost the same day they are turned. Really cares about teaching and his students. I would recommend!

Professor Nash is a good professor in explaining things and loves teaching you can definitely see it. Only thing I did not like about his class was his grading, he was a really harsh grader, his little points he would take off would add up. He never really allowed revising but he would explain your mistakes thoroughly, but he really grades hard.

Mr. Nash online speech is hands down the best class I've taken ever. He offered 55 extra credit points across the whole semester, (very easy) was flexible with outside contact and speech grading, and his quizzes were graded by completion rather than accuracy. 100% recommend his online speech course to everyone. I passed with a 97.

Nash clearly cared about the material he taught, and was very considerate of the class every step of the way. He was a tough grader, but taking his critique and using it to get better in the next speech definitely helped raise my grade. He was very specific in his feedback for each individual. Highly recommend--but be prepared to put the work in!

Pretty easy class, his online quizzes were pretty straightforward and you have two attempts, the higher grade is kept. No speech needed to be presented in front of anyone. We only had about 4-5 speeches that had to be a minimum of 5 minutes (easier than u think). Extra credit is easy, practically free points. Really nice professor, def take him!

Professor Nash is awesome. I took his class online and everything was easy and straight forward, as long as you do the assignments on time you'll be fine. He's a quick grader and replies to emails within 24 hours if you're reaching out for help. I highly recommend take this professor for Com 103 classes. Easy A class.

I think Nash is great, seems like a chill person even though I took this class online but I advise you to NOT take this class online. It's horrible. COM 103 really should be taken in person. I couldn't do that cuz they were full. The whole "you need 6 people in order to record your speech" stressed me out SO much. PLEASE take this class in person.

Mr. Nash was something for 9am class. He was a great guy though. You only get 8 skips so use them wisely if your like me. Overall really nice guy, helpful, and open. Lot of online homework through McGraw, but its participation based, so just finish it and get 100%. Also be ready for your speeches... Lots of Criterion, but understanding.

Good teacher and is very organized with assignments and lessons on canvas which makes it easy for an online course. You have all week till Friday to do assignments and can even work in advance. Nash is a good professor. He teaches well, and his class is straight forward. He has three speeches a semester, alongside homework across the semester. The homework itself is very straight forward. Speeches have clear rules and guidelines. As long as you follow the speech rules, and do the homework, you'll be fine. There is a final as well.

Professor Nash has been my favorite instructor at Moraine Valley so far!! He genuinely cares & wants you to succeed. His rules & policies can seem strict to some, but they're there for a reason. He makes everything very easy to understand & follow. As long as you follow the rules, ask for help when you need it, & put in the effort, you'll do great.

Professor Nash runs a structured class with clear rules. While his approach may seem strict, it actually helps you succeed if you engage with the course material. unstuck AI and the free textbook were lifesavers for me.

Mr. Nash is a good teacher. Speeches aren't really my thing but with the effort I put in, they paid off. He's a great person with a big heart who cares about his students and just wants them to pass. He has good lectures, and the in-class assignments are easy. I recommend him for anyone who wants to take COM-103.

Professor Nash is one strict individual. If you aren't on top of your game. DON'T TAKE THE CLASS. The course work was not to easy nor difficult. The class consist of 4 speeches, with one of them having to be in front of an audience of 6 or more to receive full credit. Overall, great class if you can keep up with the course work.

THE BEST PROFFESOR, his homework's were very easy, his instructions were easy, follow his rubric and make sure you did everything in the rubric before submitting, and your going to get full credit. He also gave a lot of extensions and chances to students that were struggling to find people for their video!

Any speech class will be hard, but Nash makes it amazing!
