I personally like the way he teahces. He ALWAYS answers questions, and reviews the topics he covered in the previous class, at the beginning of each class. His exams are fairly easy, and he will curve. Yes, it can get 'a bit' boring, but I think he does a good job to keep it as interesting as possible for his students.

He was a great guy, very nice. That aside, he doesn't know how to explain concepts in any way other than the way he does. He doesn't write his own tests, he lets his TA's write the tests, and the problem sets. He wasn't able to solve some of their problems!!! Stay home, read the book, go to see TA's on Fridays. Ask them for extra help, and they will go easy on grading your exams. I got a 71 = B.

Professor Neri is an intelligent old man who is very excited about the coursework he gives. You can learn a lot from him, and if you choose to take advantage of office hours you can really get a lot of information out of him. Advice: Go to office hours, for the assignments, read the book before class, print lecture notes before class.

If you're not good at econ and don't have to take this class, I would recommend avoiding it. Dr Neri is a nice guy and all but this is the type of class where you can show up consistently, take notes and still fail the exams. The final was one of the hardest exams i've seen in my life, I literally almost started sweating. Thank God for the curve
