I really enjoy his class, he is a very good teacher and easy to take too.

Easy teacher, provides reviews, discusses government on a generalized level which he should, if time allows discusses other events, very knowledgable, he has his own views (everyone does), know vocabulary and a little about chapters and you will get an A.

Took his summer class, and he tests right out of the book. If you know the vocab words, you pass the class. He talks a lot though, and gets boring. He stays on one subject for a very, very long time.

i took him for 2301 and 2302 during the summer and he is pretty easy. he tests mainly over vocabulary words. only bad thing is he doesnt hand out a review.

Best Teacher Ever!! Very helpful and fun. Pay attention to the vocabulary and you'll do good. try to join in discussions, he tries to push you for a good argument, but don't take it personally he's just trying to shake up the class and get reactions. Very fun if you play the game.

Class not eazy very challenging. Must read book and know terms and everything will be ok. Funny teacher and explains well. I pulled an "A" in the class but was not eazy.

I took him for the summer and he likes to ramble alot when he lectures and stays at one subject forever! But his tests are straight from the book!! It dont get any easier!! Read the book listen to his lectures and you can pull at least a B! I did! He is really boring in class and it hard to stay awake! But Just read vocab from book!GoodLuck!

Mr. Osterman is young and laidback. your test is pretty much all vocab. How easy is that? He is funny and teaches from both sides of the spectrum. if you have questions he can answer it, he knows his stuff. great teacher!! take him!!

He is an OK prof. Tests are from the book and voc. Nothing too complicated. His lectures are boring and it's difficult to stay awake in class. Doesn't like tardiness or cell phones.

He's great! He definitely knows govt & sincerely cares about his students learning govt to better their lives & not just to regurgitate info for a test (which are very easy, mostly vocab). Every true Democrat or Liberal should take this class, he'll be your favorite teacher ever! If you want an "A" take this class.

Easy tests which are mostly vocab and the rest is straight out of the book, nothing tricky. He's slightly entertaining until he gets off on a soapbox forever, then you quickly wonder why you are sitting in class listening to his rambling. I skipped most classes but read book and studied vocab - made an A. Easy A in this class.

took him for both sessions in summer 2301 & 2302 real funny teacher, teaches straight from the book. You do have to make some effort to study. Read the book and know the vocab and an A is highly reacheable. Pulled an A in both summer sessions in his class. Wonderful teacher I can't complain.

I have decided that you will either love him or hate him. Read the book, take notes and expect to participate in class discussion. I got an A by reading and taking notes. You can tell he loves the subject and wants you to learn something not just pass the class. I'm taking him for 2301 in Spring

He truely enjoys the subject and uses alot of current events to emphasize his points. I find he lectures well but you must read the book. I would take him again. Not for students who just want an easy grade but for those who want to actually learn something. Knowledge for knowledges sake rules!

Osterman is the mann! lol! Mk so his classes aren't that easy, he talks alot and everything he says is NOT on the test, He is pretty sarcastic, and he actually wants you to learn/succeed so sue him. I learned more form him than any other teacher in my three years of school. I took him for winter mini 2005. I made a B+. He can be rude. But he has good reasons. If you wanna learn more about your government and become a better citizen than take him. Great teacher.

I'm not going to say his class is the easiest in the world but if you really want to learn the subject, Take Him. The tests are easy with a little but of studying but other than that you should be OK.

Great class to take for a mini session, received an A, highly recommend him. Read the chapters and look over the graphs in the text... you'll do just fine.

I LOVED HIM! I took him for winter mini and in three weeks I learned so much! I didn't have a book all I did was show up to class and review my notes before the tests and I got an "A"! He is an awesome teacher! Here is a tip: review your previous tests before the final.

PROFESSOR OSTERMAN IS A GOOD PROFESSOR. HE LECTURES ABOUT INFO THAT WILL APPEAR ON THE TEST. BESIDES, HE CONNECTS THINGS THAT ARE HAPPENING IN THE NEWS TO THINGS RELATED WITH HIS CLASS.

Teachs from the book. Tests are always multiple choice -mostly definitions. Class averaged about 85%. Nice long break during night classes. Somewhat opinionated (conservative) but overall a great teacher. Would strongly recommend to others. Doesn't mind if you miss a class or two - realizes people have REAL lives. Very laid back.

i liked him. he used today's events to help us understand the material. he also gave easy extra credit to help boost our grades.

I had him for 2301 and 2302 in the same semester. The class was easy but could be frustrating if you have any interest in politics and you aren't a republican. Tests were straight from lecture, but they were also straight from the book so if you can discipline yourself to read, class isn't necessary.

I TOOK GOV 2301 FROM PROFESSOR OSTERMAN IN SPRING 2007. HIS TEST ARE MAINLY OVER HIS LECTURES. IF YOU TAKE NOTES AND LISTEN YOU WILL DO FINE. HE EXPLAINS THE SUBJECT WITH CURRENT EVENTS AND ENCOURAGES CLASS PARTICIPATION. I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE, PLAN TO TAKE GOV 2302 WITH HIM.

I took Mr. Osterman for Gov 2302 during the spring mini. Even though it was a fast semester I learned the subject and really enjoyed him as an instructor. I would recommend him to anyone who needs Gov.

I took GOV2301 with him. very helpful. If you listen his lecture and read the chapter you will be fine. I am taking 2302 with him. I will recomend him. He is funny, makes you laugh, lot of fun.

Lectures are informative but somewhat boring. gives 5 online tests including final. lecture is unnecessary if you read the book. overall the class is pretty easy, especially with the online tests. just read the book.

Knows students today want to do the minimum to pass so he does not require a paper. We did 5 online tests including the final. If you read the book and attend his lectures, you will make an A. He goes through the book during his lectures to make sure he covers everything in the chapters. Funny and not afraid to call someone an idiot.

The mini semester is 3 weeks of 4-hour classes. A miserable setup, but Mr. Osterman made it easier. His lectures can get a bit boring and off track, but are entertaining. He is VERY logical and definitely has political knowledge. His Blackboard resources are the way to pass the class- print out the identifications and study them for the tests!

He is a clear right wing conservative Republican. He makes you think outside the box. His class is though but very very interesting. He is very humerous and very informative.

He's a bit distant but a good guy at heart, he taught me so much like how life and death are unquantifiable abstracts or how tachyons can mess you up. His lecture about thermodynamic miracles however can be a little confusing.

There are 15 chapter tests, and one paper to write, and no weekly due dates. All work is due at the end of the semester. I completed the entire course in three days, and got an "A". He gives all the assignments at the beging of the semester, and then it is up to you to finish them. Very easy class if you make sure to do your work!

There are 15 chapters to do online which are pretty tough and I also believe the chapters were screwed up. The paper we had to do wasn't so bad, I got a 100 on it and I believe everyone who did it got a 100 as well. He is very sarcastic which(looking at the reviews)some people can't handle. Not bad nor great teacher. Look for better ones though.

I took this class online. Communication was minimal but that's alright because it is an "online" class. It covered 15 chapters and one short written assignment. I finished the course quickly. Definitely not for the procrastinator.

Took the summer 5 wk course. There are 15 chapters each with a test and 1 writting assignment. Test can be a little difficult but it is open book. Syllabus is straight to the point. Mr. Osterman reponded to my emails quickly and professionally. Decent Class.

This guy is awesome. If you are right wing you will love this class. If you are a liberal you will hate it. I would take the guy again for Govt 2302.

GREAT online class! Use the notes for the Quizes and you will not have to read the chapters! Very EASY writing assigment, he ask you 10 question and all u have to do is answer them. All work is due at end of semster, so if you finish early than your down with the class! Will be taking GOVT II with him again next semster.

Took summer ONLINE. 20 quest quiz after very chapter (15 ch). Make sure you read everything in chapter-easier than it sounds. Dont use notes-wont help. 1 writing assign. REALLY easy. Got a 100. Make sure you read ch & take quiz right after and youll ace this class. Just a little time consuming but I wouldnt take anyone else. EASY if you read. A+

I am taking his class at HCC right now for a summer course and he is just so great! He has already taught me so many new things that I never would have known. He is also very sarcastic, but it always leaves everyone laughing. I definitely recommend him.

He's very smart! He's great at answering questions, but I took him in a mini and it was pretty tough. But I have no complaints, he was pretty cool. Does all tests online

One of the best teachers I have ever had. Very intelligent and hilarious! I have never had an interest in politics before joining his class, but after taking it, I pay more attention to the news and political events. He has also become a friend of mine who i speak to regularly as I joined the club he sponsors. Tells it like it is, GREAT PROFESSOR!

He is one of the best professors I have ever had and really easy. You have to read the book to make good grades on the quizzes but what do you expect its college not kinder, so get over the "he makes me do to much work" thing. You're in college. DEAL WITH IT! Anyways he is really great and I would highly recommend him. And everything's online!

Took him for the three week Mini and finished with a B in Two weeks. Its Simple and Easy all you haft to do is read the Textbook and then take the chapter Test. Simple If you cant handle reading then take someone else. And Every gov. teacher will influence their class with their opnions.Get over it.

SUMMER COURSE COMMENT! easiest professor ever!!! he had everything due at the end of the SUMMER session, so you pretty much went at your own pace. as long you skim through the chapter and know where everything is at, you can use the online book on a different tab during the test. i would recommend this professor if your taking summer courses.

You will learn alot in the class due to all the reading. but he chose the chapters that prepare you for voting and tell you your rights. Nothing boring. The class isnt as easy as everyone say. I took his online class super easy!! He gave students the whole semester to do the work! There were 12 quiz and 1 paper. he responds to emails fast! i passed with an A.

Online. READ THE SYLLABUS. Critical anaylsis, critical & Socratic thinking encouraged & the freedom to form your own opinion about political issues. There are essays. Communicate w/classmates via discussions. Professor was very professional & cordial in all communications & he deserves the same respect from students.

For someone who had little-to-no interest prior to this class, I made an A! I learned so much and my interest in government soared. It’s a great class and you really get to use your brain! He should have a 5.0 rating, not a 3.2, don’t let that deter you from taking Professor Osterman!

This professor was very knowledgeable about the subjects that he talked about! He tries to make In-class lectures relatable to students and is sometimes funny! Quizzes are on BB, one written assignment, group project, and final. Very easy just pay attention in class and write notes!

His class was easy. Didn't use texbook. He will post very helpful videos and information on BB. Videos were very easy to understand. I learned a lot even though I dont have interest in government.

OMG BEST Professor Ever. I took his 2305 online and 2306 on campus and passed both with an A!I had no interest in govt prior to taking these classes but he makes it interesting and very very VERY easy!! He uses his own book and chapters are short. Quizzes and exam are piece of cake! TAKE HIM!!!

All of your work is done online and his lectures are what is posted on BB. He allows you to complete all assessments by the last day of class. There is a group presentation, very easy. There is an individual written assignment which he does not grade hard on. Overall he is cool and his class is easy. He does not hide his political ideology.

I took this class as a general requirement for my BSN. I had no interest in this course but will take any courses that I can from this professor. Can I say EASY. There were only 2 due dates, one paper due on drop day and final exam due date. There were 10 unit exams that I breezed through. And made an A. I wish I'd know about him for other govt.

Easy A his exams are so easy. You do not need a textbook just watch his videos. I wish i registered on time to take him for GOVT 2306. :(

LOVED this professor! Hoped to get him again but he isn't available for GOVT 2302 :(. I passed his class and it was actually very interesting. Only 8 assesments, and 8 discussions board with one final exam = PASS! I recommend to everyone who thinks government is hard. You won't regret it!

He was a great professor and very helpful. I dread online classes, but he made it a breeze. Only 8 discussion boards and 8 quizzes and a final. His lessons are mostly videos and a bit of reading but it actually caught my attention. I RECOMMEND HIM 1000%

I took the 5 week summer mini. It was very easy you just have to read the book. Does not require a lot of work other than doing the chapter reading. I would recommend him!!!

I took Mr. Osterman for GOVT 2305 online and it was an easy A! He is well organized, all expectations are clear, no textbook required, quizzes and exams are released on a timely manner and EASY. Only one research paper due for the whole semester. Quizzes and Exams are all on material provided online, hand-outs, and short clip videos. Must take!

professor Osterman is awesome, there's like 10 quizzes,essay,final and group presentation, which was not a big deal unless you have a lazy person in you're group, but other than that hes great i actually learned in this class if i would of known of proff Osterman i would of taken him for 2305. he's cool, funny, and very smart i suggest taking him.

I couldn't imagine taking his class online & missing his lectures. Watching current political news is fun now! I am a returning student after many years off(20). Wanted a challenge so I took Tx & Fed Gov with him. I wish he taught something else, I'd take it. He set the bar high. Don't be lazy, bring a notebook and pen & take notes. Enjoy!

Prof Osterman was great. 1 paper, 1 group presentation, and "tests" over 10 sections. Everything is online which makes the quiztests taking easier. He "keeps it real for the peeps" meaning he explains the govt exactly as it is, no sugar coating. He is a really good professor but the group presentation can be brutal. It takes about an hr per group.

Took him for Texas government. 10 chapter quizzes and 1 final that were fairly easy if you don't procrastinate. Also one group project. He grades fairly easy but be prepared for questions. He's a very sarcastic guy and will make you think. I loved his class and really enjoyed his lectures even though they were off topic most of the time.

I took this class during summer I and it was an Easy A!! He doesn't give notes so you just have to write down what he says. All his quizzes and final are online. There was one group project with a presentation and one research paper. Presentation was really easy on your paper topic and you just gotta make sure you expose both sides.

I took professor osterman online at Lonestar college for summer. He was an easy grader, just alot of tedious work, but everything is posted online, so be aware of due dates.. Just don't procrastinate. EASY A. EASY GRADER.

He's a great online professor. easy as long as you watch/take notes of the videos and articles before you take his quizzes. 10 (20 question) quizzes (30 mins ea), 1 essay (750 word ct.), and a final exam (2 hrs limit). that's it! i highly recommend him! he responds to email pretty quick.

I took this course in 2013. We did have one big group project but it really was not all that bad. Pay attention in his class. I used to read my own personal books/novels to pass time but I don't think he liked that too much. I would definitely take him again. You have to work for your grade but he's a very fair professor.

I LOVE Mr. Osterman. I took him online and I learned a lot. It is nothing but quizzes and he give you the correct material to be successful in the online classes. I don't know why people say he is bad at answering emails. He replied to me less than 24 hours every time i emailed him. I emailed him a lot.

Great Guy! Wants you to think outside the box and have life goals and actually achieve them. The class was made up of 10 quiz's and one short essay. For all you snowflakes beating him down, take a look in the mirror and stop wanting everything handed down on a silver platter. Overall, class was very easy and I would def take again for 2306. A+

I took him for the summer session and it is an easy class. Most assignments are on blackboard and so is the final. He makes lectures very interesting and also ends class earlier than its supposed to. If I was not lazy to read the material he posts for the test then it is an easy A.

I took professor Osterman's class in the spring. He's a very funny guy, he made government fun to learn about, he isn't afraid to express his own opinions. This is an easy class, as long as you pay attention, you should pass the class with an ease. All the assignments are on blackboard, exams aren't so hard. Overall he's a cool professor.

He does a lot of talking, knows his stuff but they get a little boring after awhile. Talks about current events which is kinda cool, but beware about talking in class because it'll piss him off. Don't buy the book, he explains everything via powerpoint. He only opens the quizzes two days before they are due so be mindful of your time.

Dude is super chill. Stay off your phone and stop acting like prissy children or he put you on blast. Test are easy if you take notes on what he says and writes. Be open minded and think logically not emotionally-facts dont care about you feelings. Easy A -test are online; no book needed.

The easiest A I've ever gotten - but be prepared to listen to him complain about how easily offended liberals as he gets offended anytime someone disagrees with him.

He was a great and laid back teacher. If you do your work you will ace his class. It is not hard at all and he is very informed. 10/10 recommend.
