Made the class very interesting. He used a wide range of experience and knowledge to illustrate the material.
Dr. Owen used to be a defense attorney from New Orleans, so he has some interesting stories. I think this is his 1st year teaching here at fresno state but he made the class was fun and interesting. Good guy and gives out extra credit. I recommend taking him.
He makes lecture interesting. He uses power points and need to do case briefs you need to present them in class but not all of it. Over all an easy class he is cool.
Great Professor! It is his first year teaching and he did a great job at presenting the material, showing extra material, and gave amazing stories from law school till now. I highly recommend him for any class, the only thing is that you do need to participate in class discussions for participation pts. This is a fun and informative class!!!
Great and funny teacher! Has many funny stories to tell from his experience as a lawyer. Would do what class want to pass class.
Great teacher!! He is informative and hilarious. Give clears instructions on assignments and he does take daily attendance but you will want to attend his class. Funny class dicussions and lectures. I would totally recommend him again. I am taking his class again next semester.
Owen is an interesting man with hilarious stories. His class is super easy, so if you want a G.E. class that you will not have to think about, I recommend taking his class. Although he is very entertaining, his lectures feel pointless (open-book online tests). He definitely has some stories, though.
Great teacher!! Very funny guy. Easy class.
4 case briefs which are very simple to do. 1 film analysis. 3 online exams and he gives you 3 hours to finish the exam. He should do stand up comedy instead of teach. His famous question he always asked is "Has anyone here ever done the following?" (commit crimes) he cracks me up but overall he's an alright professor.
Super funny, nice teacher, and a very simple class. 4 briefs, a movie review paper, and a couple quizzes/tests. Extremely animated person; gets side-tracked constantly telling stories and discussing random laws. Def a class you'll enjoy going to for a change :)
I enjoyed this class!! He is funny and it's an easy class just take notes. The only homework is brief cases they're easy to do and 3 test.
This class is super easy. There is 3 online tests and four briefs also a movie review. He is by far one of the FUNNIEST professors ever! He should be a comedian! You'll look forward to his class.
AWESOME Professor!!! He is hilarious and makes what you are learning very interesting. I strongly recommend him.
Criminal law class, super easy. Owens is hilarious. I spent more time cracking up than I did taking notes, but that's okay because the exams were entirely open book and online. No reason not to get an A. Highly recommended. Light workload, the case briefs took about fifteen minutes a piece.
AMAZING teacher! I would highly recommend him to anyone and everyone! He's hilarious and extremely helpful. I always enjoyed going to his classes and listening to his stories. Class is super easy and his stories and remarks are priceless! Take him if you can!
Super easy class. Only showed up 4 times all semester. Basically an online course bc attendance was not taken and hw & tests are done online. Everything was straight from the book. I passed with a 99%. Highly recommended bc he was hilarious, class was easy and he was understanding & willing to help.
He has a lot of stories and jokes but they keep the class interesting and apply to the material. The class is not necessarily easy, rather simple meaning that if you understand the material you will do well. If you go to class you will understand the material because he explains it well and you will want to go because he makes it fun! Great Teacher
He's hilarious, if he were to do stand up comedy, I would pay to watch him. However, he uses real life scenarios and uses great life examples about crimes and people. His work: 5 case briefs, 3 tests on Blackboard (open book) 1 film analysis on. Take him!
John Owen is literally my favorite professor i've ever had, and the only lecture i stay in which i stay 100% focused and entertained. He's hilarious and makes it easy to learn. LOVE him.
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!! extremely funny and amazing professor.
LOVE HIM!!! Awesomely awesome hair! Owen is an awesomely awesome professor. Totally recommend his classes. TAKE HIS CLASSES! Read & do the work & you will do awesome. He is willing to help you. Just ask. A great person & personality. You will never ever fall asleep in his class. He is that interesting. LOVE HIM!!!
He made the class interesting by using humor and real world experience. Every student should take one of his classes before they graduate.
He is a great teacher! The funniest person i have ever met, which makes class interesting! He tells you great stories that also help you remember material. Who ever doesn't like his class has no personality!
Easiest class ever. tests and bb discussion all online. 1 super easy film analysis (3 pages)watch the dark knight for my paper. no need to come to class unless you want to be entertained for an 8am class. Coolest crim professor by far!
Pretty easy class. A few short case briefs, one film analysis on Training Day and test were on BB. He is hilarious, and makes it easy to sit through his lecture. Attendance isn't mandatory, but he does give out participation points.
Take this professor! He is the best professor on campus He is hilarious and keeps everyone interested Do not use your phone, he would rather you fall asleep. No seriously he would, you wont want to though You only use the book for case briefs or studying but you don't need to study much if you show up to class. his lectures are great tests are easy
Awesome teacher! Hilarious and keeps class entertaining at all times...tests are really easy just study the vocab and you will pass the class with an A!
cool dude. favorite college professor in 4 years!
As long as you study you will be fine. He is super funny! You Will LOVE HIM!!
Dr. Owen is the best instructor any college student could ever have. Attend class & you will do great on tests.Super interesting. MUST take Him. He has the best hair in the world!! LOVE HIM!!!
NO JOKE WHEN I SAY HES THE FUNNIEST TEACHER AT STATE. WILL HAVE YOU CRYING OF LAUGHTER, EASY MATERIAL VERY HELPFUL WITH QUESTIONS KNOWS HIS STUFF
This guy is the best professor I've had since iv been here (3)yrs,he is sooo funny people that have taken him know what I mean he said be a comedian. Super easy and relaxed class, just do your case briefs and review for the test you'll pass with an easy A.
He is da BOMB!!
Owen is a great Professor it is not mandatory to go to class but its worth going everything on powerpoints is on the exams. There are 5 Case Briefs and 3 exams. 4 of the Case Briefs are cases that occurred and the 5th Case brief is on a movie super easy and he is awesomely funny!
Took his online crim20 class and it was pretty easy. 2 tests and a final and about 11 briefs. needed a few points to get an A and he boosted my B to an A. He's also a pretty easy grader.
I took his class online. It was a pretty easy class. 11 case briefs from the book, 3 Exams online which are open book but timed. I wish I could have taken his in class to have more communication but this class is great for someone who works or has very little time. Could get away with not reading the book, but makes test easier to take.
Took 3 hr-1X a week class. He usually tries to take up the whole class time, rarely lets you leave early. Easy to earn participation points = attending class &participating. Does all open book exams. Lectures on cases in exam which helps. Overall really easy and entertaining. Guy has the funniest stories ever-no falling asleep!Hard not to get an A!
Today Mr. Owen committed a crime in class: he wore a hat, covering his perfect hair. I'm not exaggerating when I say how nice his hair is. It's like really, really nice. Other than the hair, he's a must take professor at Fresno State. His lectures include crazy stories, but it all pertains to the subject. Inspirational does not do him justice.
He's a good professor in certain ways. His lectures are interesting, and highly entertaining. You may not actually learn much while in class, but you will be glad you came. He is funny, and energetic. However, the tests are extremely difficult. Many of his answer keys were incorrect, and required fixing. Not easy to get an A in this class.
Ever been to a law class and hate how boring it is? I've been through business law, business ethics, psychological ethics, clinical ethics and all that kind of law dull boring fall asleep class. Dr Owen's class is something really really hard to fall asleep in. You actually learn a lot! And a simple revision would be sufficient to pass.
I took two online classes with Owen and he is great. He responds to emails within a couple hours, and is super helpful if you need to ask questions. His grading is easy as long as you follow the criteria EXACTLY to size of a period. He is super strict on format. But other than that, about 10 small assignments, 3 50Q tests, and one large paper.
Overall, I learned a lot from Owen. He is a great teacher and will clarify things if you are having trouble understanding. You have to buy the book. The case briefs are super easy, but the exams are extremely difficult. Good Luck!
I took his Crim 20 online class, it consisted of 1 DB due every week, 10 briefs (very strict on brief format), and 3 tests. Study for the tests! They are timed open book but you will not have enough time to look up the answers.
Owen is in his own league. Don't miss a lecture you may miss a great story, he has many and as crazy as they are he relates them to his lecture. He also knows his stuff, ask him anything that has to do with law and in his book, he knows it without hesitation! He's crazy but seriously a great professor.
Took this online. The class is straight forward and there are no suprises when it comes to tests or assignments. He is VERY STRICT when it comes to format, he will destroy you on points if you do not follow format correctly so read how he wants his briefs. Besides 10 briefs, you have to go to court and observe procedures listed in the book. Not bad
The course was completely online. He had us meet once at the beginning of the semester for an orientation meeting. 3 tests, 10 case briefs, and 1 court observation paper. The briefs were easy points, the tests were tough so read! The court paper wasn't bad at all. Ended up dropping lowest test score.
This class is very strict, easy, but tedious cause there are little things he hates that can costs you points. You should "accidentally" sub,it a test and email him after you find all the answers asking him to reset it. 3 test, 10 or so case review things. Not so bad
This was by far the best class I have ever had in college. He goes beyond the typical teaching from the textbook and uses stories to teach difficult concepts. All of the students I know said I had to take him and they were right. The university needs more like him. Super funny and always ready to meet to give extra explaining. Do the work.
Professor Owen is great at what he teaches. His grading is pretty clear and makes himself available for questions you may have. Textbook was required. Study, Study, Study! and you'll do fine in the class.
He is hilarious. Gets a little off topic but he covers his power points on time. You have 3 tests. 10 case briefs which are super easy if you do as asked. I Got 20/20 on all of them. You have a paper due that is not hard at all. You should take his class. I highly recommend.
LOVED HIS CLASS! took him my first semester as a freshman and this class made me love Crim so much more. Participate in class, don't be shy! Wish I had participated more. You won't regret taking this class. 10/10 would take again.
You will enjoy his class if you have a DIFFERENT sense of humor. Far from hilarious to me, because I personally don't like to hear the F bomb in every sentence. He uses weird examples when attempting to further explain a topic which made the class even more unenjoyable to be in. Choose wisely.
He's really one of a kind. I looked forward to being in this class because of his unique style of teaching. He uses great examples to clarify whatever topic he's discussing. Goes off topic at times but his stories are totally hilarious. The class is pretty chill there's a couple 2 pg assignments and 3 exams.
he gives an extra credit paper at the end. YOU HAVE TO READ IN ORDER TO PASS THIS CLASS. however he does take forever to grade everything, and he is somewhat disorganized. I do recommend him he's a great professor
He doesnt teach you anything. read the book and youll pass and his hair isnt that nice
You have to participate to get points. Every class say something, about anything, you get 5 for a total of 100. Super easy class, super easy professor. And he's hilarious if you aren't sensitive or easily triggered. Hair is on point. You will never stay on topic because of how easy the class content is. Did all lectures 4 weeks before semester end
Hilarious teacher. Only take him if you learn through stories
There are only 10 easy briefs and one "paper" about a movie where you just explain 10 crimes that occurred. There is no homework besides the briefs and participation is required. Just get your points early and you can miss class unless a brief is due. Interesting class, and interesting stories. You can use powerpoints to study
Owen is the best professor in terms of memorability. DO NOT take his class if you get offended by strong language. That's just the way he teaches; if you don't like it, find a different professor. Brief due dates are dependant on how fast he gets through the chapters. The paper is easy, just come to class to get the instructions for it.
Prof Owens has a really different style of teaching, he lectures using personal experience and stories that are funny and that you remember. Participation really matters to him. He talks A LOT and will go off topic but its never boring. I loved going to class just to hear what he had to say. I liked his style of teaching, def not your standard prof
I love professor Owen. Id taken him for 3 classes and would take him just for elective if I hadnt graduated. His sense of humor isnt for everyone and he cusses a lot so if this isnt you dont take him. But he tells a lot of stories and WILL 1000% take the time to make sure you understand everything he teaches
LAUGH AT HIS JOKES so you can get an A.
Participate participate, it really does make a difference . The exams are not that hard if you study so literally just study the book and the briefs are not really hard, its you reading a brief and putting it I to your own words. Owen is a great teacher, I recommend you to take him and not be lazy :)
Talks about inappropriate personal stories more than he does about course material. Very unprofessional and caddish. Do not recommend.
A class where you will learn a lot and not be stressed, which I like very much.
Amazing professor, definitely learned a lot. Very funny, need to read the book in order to pass the class. Overall, great class
Owen is a really good professor with a different sense of humor. His class is super easy if you participate briefs are easy too.
Hilarious Teacher! Very fair when it comes to grading, wants to see you succeed. Make sure to read textbook outside of class and you will be fine.
Easily one of the best CRIM classes at Fresno State. Easy paper (COURT VISIT REQUIRED), Quizzes, case briefs (take like 10 mins each max) Teacher is great at keeping the class entertaining and the material is really easy to follow along with. If you somehow manage to fail this class I would reconsider your career in CRIM Book needed
Owen likes to encourage you to participate & when you get the answer wrong he will make fun of you in class! He makes fun of students for entertainment and to gain popularity. would not recommend him! he goes off subject lots of times during lecture! If you need clarification don't go to him he will just humiliate you
He's a great person and he simplifies the material. However, he goes off topic constantly. He will talk about his personal stories about the illegal stuff he had done. He will talk about some story for 10 minutes + to make a joke. Yes its very humorous but I hate how hard his tests are. Like if your class is full of jokes why aren't your tests?
He is a funny teacher, however if you really want to learn your better of not taking this course. He does not do a good job explaining the material and does not explain how to properly do the briefs. You have to participate to get the points which is good I guess, but he still doesn't help you when you have good well thought questions.
Professor Owen is quite a treat. He is funny and has a lot of knowledge. Participation matters because you can earn 100 pts of participation. 5 papers fairly easy, and 2 exams (midterm and final). He creates his own condensed textbook through Tophat and its way better than a normal textbook. Never cancels class and definitely recommend!
Participation is MANDATORY! You must read the book in order to pass! Quizzes and tests are difficult if you don't read or study. Doesn't cancel class at all! Wastes a lot of time telling personal stories.
Best teacher ever! Enjoyed every one of his lectures and was always entertaining. I've learned more in his class than any other class. He makes you laugh. Make sure you read he does give quizzes there are 10 in total. Tests are not bad. No extra credit. There is a court paper due at the end, but he does explain what he wants on it in depth. 3 tests
One of the best professors at state. Class lectures are never boring. Although he goes off topic often hes very knowledgeable on the subject. Class attendance is not mandatory but showing up to class is the only way to get participation points. 3 exams, 5 papers, weekley quizzes. Easy A if you show up to class.
You will be using and online book that he wrote. At the end of each chapter you will take a short 5 question multiple choice "quiz," which is super easy. There are 5 papers which can really be a drag but are super easy also. His lectures are always funny but scattered. I would take again! He takes responsibility when he makes a mistake.
EASY A!! 1 Final, no midterm, 5 papers (2 pages) and 2 chapter tests. This class is super easy, you must read the textbook to write the papers. Participation matters. Professor is funny, you will have a good laugh during class.
Dude, he needs to chill with the jokes. He's a great guy and all but he goes off topic for a really long time talking about personal stories and topics that aren't related to the material. NO STUDY GUIDES. His test's are actually pretty tough, and it's surprising considering how doesn't take his job serious.
Terrible professor. Treats class like his own personal story time and curses about once every 30 words.
Professor Owen is very straight forward with what he expects for his assignments. Most of the questions on the Exams can be found online.
Took Professor Owen for Crim127 and it was fairly easy, easy discussion boards every week and a few tests. Easy class! Great Professor
Received the worst grade I have ever been graded on his first paper. Was extremely disappointed in myself so I emailed him asking for him. Provided 8 EC points out of 580 then said to talk to him about the next paper. Sent him a roadmap and said it looks good. Low and behold he gives me a worst grade on that one. Avoid at all cost.
Dropped this class because this professor claims that systemic racism does not exist because it is supposedly not proven in science. It is ABSOLUTELY APPALLING that a higher education professor at a university does not recognize a legitimate sociological concept that has and still applies to society today.
I mean it was an easy class but hes a horrible person to be completely honest. I got an A in the class but hes just not someone id ever want to meet. hes pretentious and makes a lot of idiotic mistakes
The class was very hard to understand. VERY OFF-TOPIC and not even related to the course. If you want to learn then take another professor. Would never take him again. He always spouts about unnecessary topics and brings up how he is white way too often. Yes, we know you are very much privileged but please just teach the class normally. DO NOT TAKE
wasn't very specific with what he expected. exams were pretty hard. if i had to take this class again i would not take him again.
Snell was an ok professor. He is very unorganized and teaches through announcements on Canvas which was really annoying. He wouldn't have stuff listed when it was due correctly and would blame the students for his error. He is a very tough grader, one small mistake and he would dock you half the assignment points. Also gave the worst feedback.
It wouldnt have been a hard class if he hadnt MADE it a hard class. The ideas and concepts are easy, but he expects you to know 300 pages worth of information by heart for exams and rarely grades fairly. One mistake costs half your grade and hes even worse at helping you. Also no late work or makeups are allowed.
John Owen as a person? A good solid dude! Funny guy definitely on the weird side of things. Owen as a professor? Horrible! I took an in person class to review slides and get tested from material from his lecture, PowerPoints, and the book. His class is entirely based on the book nothing that comes from the PowerPoints, or lecture is tested. Pain
Professor Owen is one of the coolest/ funniest professors I have met. However, his teaching style and material is very difficult to understand. So, if you don't like reading textbooks, then choose a different class. Exams are also pulled straight from the textbook. 5 quizzes. Two papers that are straight from the textbook as well. Participation req
This class was insanely hard. I took it as an elective but he did not have clear grading criteria, he gave no opportunities to get help from students, and canvas was NOT ORGANIZED. He always seemed bothered when you emailed or went to go ask for help. Makes you write briefs, one paper on a movie, weekly discussion boards, and 3 exams.
He is a very tough grader and does not like when students try to defend their assignments. IMPORTANT: there has been multiple instances where he did not grade my papers correctly, he includes feedback that was never presented within my paper. He copies and pastes a lot of feedback for diff assignments, instead of receiving the grades we deserve.
He was so bad, I wanted to give him a zero. But that's not possible. So, I give him a 1
Overall, this professor is okay his lecture are pretty entertaining and fun to watch his test for this class is pretty hard so reading and studying is a must for this class I'm not kidding. He also does participation every day in class so you can't miss out. Also there is debates pretty easy and for extra points.
His instructions on assignments were not specific enough and when you would email him to ask questions he would make you feel as if you were stupid. And he would give feedback on assignments but the feedback was not useful, since you would use his feedback on other assignments and he would call you out for it saying it was "incorrect".
Honestly such a great professor! His lectures are so amusing so you never get bored. We are required to actually read but other than that the class is really easy. He definitely cares because he does everything to make sure you understand the material.
lectures can be off topic, but overall class was alright. You cannot pass without reading, papers are easy and participation matters.
DO NOT TAKE ONLINE. He talked shit about us to his other classes. Undermined us cuz his instructions are unclear. He's the type to blame the students when he makes mistakes. He does pick & choose who he likes. So if you take him be ready to kiss his ass for a good grade. No extra credit. Be ready to stress over ur grade. Honestly he isn't worth it
Type of prof. that's just a grader for online. It'd be fine if he wasn't rude. He has a specific way of writing that he likes. If you don't know it ur screwed. This makes the 5 essay questions (which is actually 10) so hard(1hr). Studying won't help when u need to memorize the whole book. He is the type to tell u something isn't on the test and is.
I loved Mr. Owen! His lectures are easy to understand and he encourages us to ask for help when needed. The ones who had him online are just mad cause they got caught cheating.
Honestly I have not even finished this class but what I can say is that I dreaded coming to class everyday. He is not considerate of others and their personal issues. You basically have to teach yourself in the class because he is funny. However, he gets off topic and jumps around in his lecture. Everything is booked based.
This is a professor that likes to be funny instead of actually teaching. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but when his quizzes consist of fill-in-the-blank questions with little guidance as to which areas of the keyword-heavy textbook you should be remembering, it turns bad. He frequently talks about how his classes fail his tests - bad tests!
Literally the funniest professor, always making the class laugh. Tests are easy and straightforward READ THE BOOK and lecture slides, you'll pass. Five quizzes, two papers that were easy to get 100 on. Participation matters, and he'll catch you if you sign the sheet and don't participate. Attendance not mandatory but watch out for pop quizzes.
Professor Owen is GREAT! He's understanding and funny. Participation matters, read the book and take notes, make flashcards for the tests you'll pass easily. Got an A on his paper and high B's on most of the tests, he gets off topic but he's straightforward when it comes to tests
This is one of the easiest classes i've taken. The material and expectations are extremely straight forward. There isn't a lot of work, and the work is easy at that. The tests are also super easy. He does get distracted a lot during lectures though, but when he was actually lecturing about the course, it was very engaging.
Professor Owen is very understanding, he will meet with you if you have any questions and make sure you fully understand everything before you leave, 2 papers, 3 exams 5 quizzes are all on the book, and participation is required, he actually made learning fun, and I enjoyed coming to class and learning the material.
The most difficult thing I found in this class was participation. Other than that the class was pretty easy. He gives out extra credit towards the end of the class for those who need it. There are only 3 exams, 5 quizzes and 2 papers. He grades fair and he also made the class funny and interesting. Overall I would recommend.
I actually took this guy back in 2018 and I wanted to search him up to see if he is still lecturing and I'm glad he is, now that I graduated with my master's degree I have to say that he is by far one of the best professors I have had in my life. He also does read these reviews about him. I wasn't the best student but I learned most from him.
Lectures involve a lot of story telling. He likes making jokes a lot and you can tell he's gotten in trouble for it because afterwards he's always like " just kidding guys".Loves his coffee and red bull(paces a lot throughout class). Participation matters, little amount of graded assignments so you can't really help your grade. He's chill though.
Two papers, pop quizzes, and 3 exams. Easy class as long as your study for the exams you will pass the class. Great professor.
John Owen is a type of teacher who you can tell that he's absolutely passionate about the topic he teaches. Does he have no filter and say whatever he said. Yes. But, is it funny and knownledgable? Abosolutely. People who gets offended and write bad review on this teacher are not fun at parties. People who say his class are hard do not participate.
Prof. Owen is very flagrant, but don't let that fool you. He is very intelligent and willing to help. His assignments/exams are easy. Pay attention to lectures, which isn't hard because of how funny he is. He is clear about what he expects. My favorite professor so far, I'm excited to have him next semester, and hopefully many more. PARTICIPATE!!
He's an awesome professor. As long as you read the book and go to class you'll pass the class.
Owens was one of the worst professors/teachers I've ever had. He never stayed on topic on lectures, so much so that going to his lectures didn't help at all with the exams. Three exams and ten pop quizzes. If you read the book, you will probably be fine. But don't waste your semester and money taking this class with him, pick anyone else.
This professor is great and funny, he makes lectures fun. Be prepared to read the textbook since there is pop quizzes at the beginning of each chapter. Few papers, and exams, as long as you study and participate you will pass. Participate!!!! 100 points of your overall grade is for participation!
Honestly best crim professor by far, he knows how to keep a class entertained. There was never a dull moment since he's funny. 3 200 point exams. 2 papers. pop quizzes, so make sure to READ the book! 100 points of participation can be added to your overall grade. Study his slides & take notes, it will def help. Hope to take him again soon.
A very chill teacher. He spends 90% of his time in class making jokes instead of teaching. He talks about politics a bit too much for my taste. It kind of ruins and throws off my learning.
Class is easy, but the professor is unbearable. His lectures are 80% random bs and 20% being stuff related to the book and even then his explanations take so long to get his idea across. I think he has ADHD or mentally ill because of the way he cannot stay on track and flips out very easily. He knows he has it too but doesn't want to admit it.
He was inappropriate with his choice of words, political, & made rude comments. You wouldn't learn anything valuable from his class. He was always off topic talking abt some story unrelated to the class. I don't recommend him.
I love him as a person. hate him as a teacher. He talks a lot about things that are not related and gets distracted easily. there is 10 chapters and each have a lecture slide that is 90 slides long. they are also not completed and you need to fill them in yourself. there is 3 exams and 2 papers. he grades very hard on the papers.
He expects the students to do the reading and gets annoyed when people do not make an effort. He keeps the class awake by telling stories that may be off topic but generally teach a lesson that is beyond the facts in the book. Not for everyone. He wants students to think. He wants to be funny but also knows he is not.
Read the textbook. He's really funny and makes class very interesting. A lot of participation points but can get a good grade if you read textbook.
Owen is a cool person. His lectures are crazy and all over the place but it kind of makes sense. IF YOU DONT READ the textbook and STUDY you will fail. He goes over what's on the test, you just have to go to class. Test are in person. Papers are easy, he lets you rewrite them if you don't do good the first time.
very knowledgeable, hilarious, and his life experiences are very relatable to topics in class. please please please, if you take his class, read each chapter in advance, and PARTICIPATE! participation is the most easy 100 points. very much enjoy his classes!
this professor is awesome. class will be easy if you READ the chapters in advance, and participate. participation is 100 points. don't miss an exam review, do flash cards. papers are easy and he will give you a chance to earn more points if you got a low score if you make changes or redo them. his sense of humor isn't for all when he tells stories
Professor keeps the class engaging with his humor. Exams and papers can be manageable with diligent reading and participation. Unstuck study proved helpful for quick study prep alongside the textbook.
Class was easy, only assignments we had were 2 papers & 3 exams. He stressed that we needed the book but I never used it. Goes over the test with us, so make sure to write it down & create your own study guide. Good professor, but he showed disturbing videos. He once showed a music video that mocked baptisms and they turned into the devil.
PARTICIPATION MATTERS! Participation will be out of 100 and if you do not participate it will hurt your grade. There are 2 easy papers. Lectures are okay he gets off topic a lot. Doesn't really do a good job at reviews for exams. There are flashcards on quizlet that helped me. Overall he is a nice professor. Gives one extra credit opportunity.
Actually pay attention and it won't be so bad but overall good teacher with tough grading
He loves to ramble, never on point. You need to participate daily and it counts for grade.
This professor is the worst one I have ever had. He is very vague and doesn't explain anything really good. The class is very unorganized but yet he holds everyone to a higher standard while he can't even hold himself to the same standard. His exams are very difficult and he has a lot of spelling errors and unfished sentences. DON'T TAKE!
The way this professor teaches is not for the weak minded. I want to say that the very first lecture i wanted to drop the class because I couldn't understand anything. But once i understood him, the class is very easy and he is actually funny. 100 participation pts, 10 briefs & 3 exams all easy if you read the book. I would take him again 100%
This is a unique class in that it covers difficult concepts such as morality and what is right and wrong. He is all over the place going from the Greek philosophers to modern police work. READ THE TEXTBOOK. He will explain it but if you do not read or participate you will have a rough time.
toke his online class, he doesn't give multi choice tests nor exams. There all written. He doesn't explain himself correctly for the exams & papers. He grades those thing as he goes & He will dot lots of points. He sucks at replying to emails about your grade for the exams or papers. His gradings for the discussion boards are easy but
Bar far the worst professor I have ever taken. Don't let the fact that I got a B go to your head. It was very difficult. Exams are basically all the points and it's written. His exams are very vague with many spelling errors yet he hold you to a high standard. when sending emails don't make them big. He only reads part of it then assumes the rest
