Great professor for an easy A. Little reading, easy exams and no papers...it doesn't get any better. If you are a serious studetn, however, you should stay away.

Palenscar is so cool!! He made getting out of bed to go to class fun. I would definatly take another class with him. He needs to teach higher level classes so more people can have him.

I usually hate history classes, and just took this as a filler. But he was a great teacher and kept our attention and interest.

took this as a summer class, the 3 hrs flew by...students were constantly involved and class was actually enjoyable

He's seriously the best teacher I've ever had in my life. He makes classes so interesting and he genuinely cares about all of his students. He'll bend over backwards just to keep things interesting for us whether it's swearing, joking or making fun of dead presidents. Gets very emotional when he lectures about the depression. 1 of the best people!

Best professor at westconn. He cares about what he's teaching, cares about his students, and is a pretty easy grader. If I could I would take every class I have to take till graduation with him. Little hint: Agree with anything he says about Puritans. Doesnt matter what class you take with him, he WILL involve the Puritans.

He was awesome. So understanding and really passionate about what he taught. I would take another class with hmi in a heartbeat. He was funny and made class enjoyable. I never missed one. He rarely ever gives A's though but it was still worth it.

I can't say enough about this man! He's an incredible professor, I wish all professors at WCSU cared as much about their students as he does about his. Take ANY class you can with him, believe me you won't regret it! You'll learn much more than just history!

Professor P was by far the most awesome professor I have ever had and I have attended 3 colleges. He doesn't lecture from the book he has his own way of lecturing which is much more fun and interesting. He is BRILLIANT and passionate and funny. Loved every minute of this class.

Best history professor at Westconn. His lectures are fun, helpfull, and relevant. There is no textbook or homework, just a couple of easy essays. If you have to take a history class, take it with him.

Great guy. One of the best teachers I have ever had overall. If you are a very right wing thinker or very close minded you should not bother. You will be annoyed and think like some of the raters that he is picking on you. Sometimes he is, but only because you didn't do the work and you put youself out there as an expert and you are not LOVE HIM!

awesome teacher. requires some work, he gives you a bunch of books to read but your dont necessarily need to to write the papers. attendance isnt mandatory but at least show up the majority of the time. hes very insightful; one of the only classes i like going to. B with minimal work. definately take as many classes with him as possible

what a guy. everything ready here is true. very down to earth guy that relates to the student. work load is very limited. 4 essays and that's about it. requires some reading and thinking about these essays, but they're manageable for the average student.

Prof. P is easily the best professor at WCSU. It's far from the hardest course. but with Prof. P you will learn more than you think. He is the most helpful, and understanding person. He is also hilarious.

Best professor/teacher I have ever had,hands down. I find History very interesting, but I always received low grades in the subject. With P, I received two A's in both of his classes. I do not know why his teaching methods are so successful;but, whatever he is doing WORKS! Great teacher, down to earth, won't BS you. Absolutely HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

John is a great guy. If you read and can think you'll do well in his class. But he is also a personal guy. I enjoyed stepping outside after class and having a great discussion with him. He's worth it.

this is the best professor that i have ever had, hes supper funny and so laid back, he requires readings but gives no tests or quizes maybe a group project thats a joke, hes prolly the best teacher iv had, didn't do a lot of work yet got the most out of it and actually learned a lot

Great teacher.... i hate readind and rarely read, but i actually read one of his books due to how exciting and encouraging he is... work is easy if you pay attention which is hard not to. .. take if you want an entertaining class with fairly easy work.

By far the best history class I've ever had. He gives his own spin on history, making class fun and interesting. I always look forward to his class. Only 5 short papers during the semester and a final. If you read the material you're guaranteed at least a B.

love this guy. i learn a lot but i laugh a lot too. he doesn't overload you with work but takes his papers seriously.

Probably the only class I looked forward to. He is more concerned with big ideas and concepts rather than dates and names, which make his classes interesting and eye opening. He is also hilarious.

I went to every class and loved to go! He didn't take attendance however that is really the only way to learn the material. We didn't learn much out of the book, he just likes to talk about information. He also understands that we are people and not just students. He understands if we have personal situations going on.

I wish he taught full time. He is amazing. The best teacher ever. I even took classes with him even tho i didnt need it. P for president

Best history class I've ever taken. He takes the time to relate everything your learning to real life, makes it funny and interesting. The tests are essay questions based off what we talk about in class. Text was only used for essay and group project. Favorite class ever.

Amazing teacher, you deffinetly learn something from his class. He isn't afraid to tell it how it is. However, he is very strict when it comes to attendance, so if you are one of those who skips class alot don't bother. Overall one of the few history professors who teach things you can remember semesters later.

The best teacher I have ever had. Brutally honest with students who are retards, and not afraid to tell you how miserable the world is. Also, really forgiving and understanding if you have personal things going on that may be interfering with school.

HE IS AN AMAZING PROFESSOR. Take as many classes with him as possible! He's so interesting and helpful. There were people who came to my class just to hear his lectures! I highly suggest Prof. P! I actually enjoy waking up in the morning and going to his class and I am not by any means a morning person. Love him

One of the best professors i've ever had. Truly cares about his students and their education. If you have a problem he is extremely open and always willing to help. A great person and I not only learned a lot about history from him, but many life lessons as well.

P is an amazing person. If I could take the course over I really would! What I admired most about him was(unlike most teachers) he truly cares for his students and wants to see us succeed. He's a smart man & does everything he can for you to understand the material. It's a easy course, it's up to you to put in the effort. Overall he's wonderful :)
