Very good teacher. Knows his stuff!

Mr. Partacz is a great teacher, he takes time explaning things to students. he has lots of assingments such as homework, group projects and exams.. however if you show up to class and do the work.. you can get an "A".. BTW lots of extra credit.

His a character. He really makes the class fun and easy to understand.

um...i hated this class.........it was like hell sitting through his lectures..the homework is soo highschool keyboarding class..and he's jokes are not funny there more like lame....anyone who is takin this class getready to do a lot of work...and sleep during his lectures

Awesome Teacher. I thought he was a bit odd at first. After getting to know him, I think he's one of the best. He cares about his students and will help you any time. I wish he was teaching more classes. I learned a lot and had a lot of fun. He became my favorite Teacher

First off, I have to say this teacher is a great teacher if you are willing to do the work. His main goal is for you to pick up as much information that you can in his class, and he shows this by the homework and participation. He has no attendence policy, but the only way you will do well is by showing up. Excellent class for the real students.

Awesome Awesome Awesome. the best teacher i have ever had. his grading is not unfair and the projects are rather easy. i rarely ever had outside homework. i more than recommend him. his syllabus sounds confusing but it is not. TAKE HIM. dont worry he is weird but great!!!

Class was basically easy but he seemed to enjoy insulting students and had weird mood swings. Made some classes uncomfortable. I ended up avoiding asking questions or making a comment in a discussion because you never new what his reaction would be.Then he would pull you aside at break and ask if we were still buddies.

He's a very off-the-wall kind of guy, and unpredictable. So, it's hard to depict just how he is. Most of the material he would just read off of power point slides, but he'd try to joke around as much to make the class fun. He may or may not cut you slack on assignments, but does say he want's you to learn something from class - whatever it is.

He is really nice and helpful! he is also pretty easy going about assignments so just turn them in and get the points. if you know anything about computers, this class is super easy

Partacz reminds me of George Carlin with his random humor. I loved the fact that he always had some candy or brownies for us just for good gesture. If you are into computer science, you are missing out if you don't take this guy.

Prof. Partacz was the best teacher in my summer semester. His syllabus is crystal clear, attendance IS mandatory for points, some HW is tough but Partacz does help you in any way. He does give us study guides at EXACTLY what will be on the test. Overall,a great teacher with a lot of stories to tell. I HIGHLY recommend John Partacz to everyone!!!

Mr. Partez is a great insructor. He is fun to learn from and is available for questions. He will take his time to explain what he is doing and does not have a problem going over concepts more that once or showing different ways to accomplish the same result. He is knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor, he puts an "older" student at ease.

Mr Partacz is awesome! He has a great sense of humor and makes students feel comfortable on the first day of class. Students can just shout out that they need help and he will do everything he can to make sure they understand. I consider myself technically challenged, but am really getting the hang of excel.

Very good instructor! Topics are clear during lectures. Gives you time to work on assignments. Really really good lectures! Test aren't too bad. I would def take him again.

Mr Partacz is very knowledgeable and passionate about your learning. He is engaging and funny-although some of the humor will be lost on younger students. The best teacher I ever had in two years at College of Dupage I mean he really care about his students and their learning when you down he its like he no we would bring a smile to your face not noing the whats going with you he would no and still teach and ask questions later what a teacher.

Mr. Partacz is friendly and very approachable. He turns an otherwise dry class into something entertaining via his wit and offbeat jokes. He's very helpful if you need assistance though lazy with email. Talk to him in person or call him and you'll get a fast, eager response. He wants you to succeed but it IS up to you to do the work. Easy A IMHO.

It's hard not to get an A in this class. Mr. Partacz gives you every opportunity you need to succeed and is always willing to help you out if you have questions. Grading is based on attendance, participation, homework (internet based), chapter tests and in-class projects/extra credit. You choose & monitor your progress. Friendly, funny, nice guy!

Mr. Partacz, is one of my favorite teachers that I have to date. His enthusiasm to teach and live life is infectious. He is extremely caring, and wants you to do well in his class! His humor and wit, add to his handsome demeanour. Pay attention, do the homework, ask help when you need it, and you will be fine! Don't blow the class off! LEARN!! :)

John is one of the funniest teachers I've met and I love him to death! His humor is great and he is a great teacher. He is a slightly clumsy at times but he has a very fair grading policy, he cares about his students, and he doesn't try to trick you. Do your work, study for tests, and care about this class and you will do well! GREAT TEACHER!

Honestly Mr. Partacz is an amazing professor, since day 1 of the class he was smiling and having fun. He does give homework tasks but they are not impossible, if you have microsoft office for Apple it may be a bit tricky to find exactly what he is looking for but not impossible. Do the work, do the quizzes, come to class, & crack some jokes.

He is a very good teacher. He is really funny with how he informs his students with his lectures.

Fun teacher and keeps the class entertained. expect some homework but it's really easy, if you pay attention in class there's no reason to struggle on quizzes and homework

John Partacz is a great teacher, he will tell you exactly what he wants done and will grade you accordingly. He has a bunch of stories and jokes a lot about what is happening in his life. Pretty much if you show up to class and do the homework you will get an A - B on the grading scale.

The best computer information intro class. This class will not bore you and keep you interested the whole time. There is 14 tasks and quizzes almost every week. It was a great experience.

John, was a great teacher. He was very good with what the syllabus had on it and following it throughout the semester. John is a very inspirational teacher and gives students many opportunities to succeed. If listen and do what he says, you should receive a decent grade. It goes with how much effort you put in, will determine your grade.

Great teacher! Really knows how to make a class enjoyable. He always ties in hilarious jokes during his lectures which really makes those long lectures fun to go to.

Overall it was a good class. He is very thorough with explaining homework and quizzes, but honestly it seems like a free A class. You would have to actively try to fail his class. Does take roll so if you don't attend you lose points, FYI.

This was my first class I took learning about computer systems and I found it to be a great class. I learned a lot of good and useful information. In this class you take 1 quiz per week. Everything you need to know for the quizzes are covered in lecture. Professor Partacz is a great teacher and you can see that he enjoys teaching his students.

hes hilarious. definitely my favorite professor at COD! was insanely easy to learn from. is very specific about what is on tests/quizes. gives you everything you need to pass. show up to class do the homework &dont be a jerk and it will be an easy A. only 1 hw assignment per week. he goes over every detail for hw and makes it very easy. I took 2 classes with Professor Partacz and i can easily say he was one of my favorite teachers at COD.

Professor Partacz was a solid professor. He was a pretty easy grader. Show up, listen, study for quizzes and turn homework in on time and you should get a good grade in class. He is almost always available for extra help. Overall great professor.

I took him because it was a requirement. He is great and funny. His joke once in a while may get too far, but it is still way better than having a teacher who is not happy with life in general. I liked the experience.

Partacz is kind man. He has weekly tests in class, so you must show up. The lectures are dull with an occasional joke or two. He doesn't post grades on blackboard, you have to talk to him. The class should be easy since tests are open book/notes/internet.

10 Open Book/Internet quizzes. 12 lengthy homework assignments from the book that vary from 12 to 35 questions. Lectures are long, but John is a hilarious old man. If i were 21 I'd have a beer or 12 with him. Midterm and final are open book/internet. Participation is 10%. Just show up and do the homework. He puts grades in an excel doc, not BB.

I had him for CIS 2770, so I was already familiar with him. He's very outgoing and loves to interact with his students. CIS 2790 was great! As long as you do the required projects, you will do fine.

I had him for a 4 hour class twice a week. Its a lot of lecture. It was hard not to fall asleep. BUT HERES THE IMPORTANT PART. I didn't learn anything in this class. If you want an easy A, take this class. All I did was attend class and do the quizzes that are online. He gave us one week to do the final at home. laugh at his jokes and your set.
