Dr. Perrotto was by far the best teacher I had during my 2 years at NCC. He cared about his students and taught in a way that everyone could understand. None of my teachers came close to him. I wish I could had have him again.

Dr. Perrotto is excellent! When he teaches he makes you visualize it. He makes it fun and interested unlike some professors. He makes u laugh. Just study his notes all of it! No need 2 buy a book. Its all in the notes and in the test. Everyone loves him.

Perrotto is the man!! i did really well in his class because he actually likes what he does and he makes it extremely easy to understand. He's definitely the most chill teacher I've had yet. His class was one of the most interesting classes I have ever had. He cracks a few jokes here and there to keep things interesting. The huge note packets he gives out are great. He takes time to go over all the information and he will help set aside time to help you.

Honestly, it's my third semester at nassau, and this is BY FAR the best professor I've ever had. The guy is hilarious, and he knows his stuff. He's always open to questions, and really cares about the student. I'm a psychology major, but this guy has made biology my favorite subject. Wouldn't mind going to his class more than than twice a week!

Doc is a great professor, he reviews the material from a note packet that is handed out in the begining of the course. Hes a really approachable and caring teacher. Make sure to attend class and keep up with the work and its an easy B or B+

eassyy A. i love how he applies everything to real life (considering he is actually a doctor) basically tells you what's exactly on the test before the test. test questions are straight forward. might seem like a goofball at first but give him a chance he's really understanding and knowledgeable.

Had him for bio in the spring and he is not easy. we went through 200+ pages of notes - never learned so much in any class. Tests were fair not easy, but he reviews alot. We were learning stuff my friends learned in grad school. he is so well organized that he made it look easy especially for adult students. JUST DON'T TEXT IN CLASS!!!

Dr. P has the patience of a saint and a heart of gold. His lectures are upbeat & he always manages to throw in a couple of jokes if he suspects the class might be losing interest. Would take another one of his classes if the chance ever comes up. He gives you all the material all you need to do is study it. The BEST professor ever!

I took him for 109 because I saw the reviews for him. I was a business major and because of him I switched over to premed. I ended up taking him for 110 also. The best professor I have ever had. Teaches biology to his students as if they are already in med school. His tests are so easy you don't need to study and his lectures are so thorough and interesting you'll never wanna miss them. He's also a stand-up comedian.

His classes are long and run late but if you get them, your in luck. He is so good at explaining the material that you just understand it right away tests are strait forward tells you what you need to know for the exam.

The topics he teach are very hard to begin with but he knows how to really explain and relate the info to our everyday lives. Professor John Perrotto is one of the best professors in Nassau Community College. Biology is a subject with a lot of material, and Perrotto makes his own notes packets to highlight the important parts of the material. Students are allowed to record his lectures. Perrotto reviews for tests. Perrotto is a nice person.

Definitely one of my favorite teachers I've had at nassau and even in high school. Also very funny! I died every time he said "smoking" in a weird voice. Wish I could take him again. Not a lot of work and the tests are basically given to you in his packets. Just pay attention in class and go over the packets and you'll do great.

His tests are very fair, but you definitely need to study the material in order to understand it. BIO 115 class and lab. Professor Perrotto genuinely cares and believes in his students. His test are fair but if you put the effort in to study & go to class you'll do fine. TAKE HIS CLASS! His lectures aren't boring at all and really helps you understand the topics very well. Before every exam, he reviews with the class and makes sure all questions are answered. 4 Lecture exams (75%) & 2 Lab exams (25%). Prof. Perrotto literally changed my life. His powerpoints are amazing and helpful (there are a lot of spelling errors tho). His tests are fair and straightforward. If you study almost every single day in his class, you will do amazing. If anyone hasnt taken him, do it!! Hes great. I would want to take him again in a heartbeat.

I had him in 2018, and he really is a stand out professor. He always says he cares more about you passing the class than you do! and its true. He makes sure that you are 100% prepared for your tests/ labs/finals. Showing up and paying attention is all you need to do. The homework is slightly annoying though, but not bad. Everything is in the notes!

I used to hate bio in HS due to how the teachers were. This prof completely changed my view and made me actually interested. If you listen in class, which is not hard at all since he makes it fun, you barely have to take any notes. All the PPTs are posted on Blackboard. Tests are easy and straight out of the PPT. Treats students like human beings<3

He is such a kind professor. One of the best professors Ive ever had. Goes above and beyond for his students. Definitely would recommend!

Literally the best prof I've ever had. Had him for both 109 and 110. He is literally THE GUY if u are going in the medical field. However, if you want to learn about plants and stuff he's not it. There are 2 tests and 2 lab tests, both are 50 mc. All test questions are on his lecture slides which he posts on BB. His lectures are easy to follow too

Professor John Perroto is an excellent instructor. His style of teaching prepared me for block exams and clinical studies during medical school. Last December, I completed a phase of my life, which began with Dr. Perrotto and his biology class. As I journey forward, I will always be grateful for his knowledge, support, and encouragement.
