He's a wonderful Math teacher. He helped me out with my fear of math.

Really down to earth and always willing to lend a hand

Plows through subject at times, never understanding that math is, for many, not something they get easily. Got all B's on my test, but was given a C grade because I didn't do HW. Boring

He is a really cool teacher... He will always lend a hand when you need it. Takes time to explain the work to his students. Got all A's in his class. Also he has very easy test. So if you study the chapter you will get an A.

He is truly a great teacher. Im a terrible math student and I got an A on one of his tests...the first and only A I have ever recieved on a math test in College. I got a C in his class but I didnt do all I could. Very possitive and truly a helpful teacher

I took math 20 after 3 years of not having any math.He is really nice, and helpful.But, you still do need to do a lot of HW, and ask questions. It is all about practice with Math 20 specially if u are returning student. I think his exams could be easier!!

I had this professor for Math 84 and his teaching style is very clear, u can ask him questions if u need help and he takes problems from each section and does them step by step on the board

Very good teacher. Explains problems very thoroughly and is very helpful. Do your homework and be prepared to turn it in. But if you have a solid B no need to do it. Do well on the final because it counts a lot. Overall very good teacher

He is one of the best math teachers in the math department. He collects homework (so do it!), and as long as you participate, and there everyday and if you talk to him if you are having a difficulty in anything, he is a very understanding person.

Great.helpful all the time and will try 2 make class funny at times.It's true if u don't understand something talk to him all the time(i mean practically 3 times a week)& u'll b cool. gives points in test for every step u do correct even if the answer comes o/wrong.

Great professor!!!! Very fair, organized, clear and extremly helpfull. It is math so you will need to do a lot of homework practice, but trust me - if you do your homework you will do just fine in class. He is like a swiss watch- always in the class one minute before he starts the class(which is kind of funny- he was never never one minute late!!)

Professor Quevedo is an awesome instructor. His lectures are clear and tries to help you as much possible, he is professional and always goes by the book and school policies, but sometimes he is not too open to questions. If math is not your strongest subject take his class, you'll make it.

Prior to taking Quevedo I had taken Math 20 3 times and not passed. He makes you do a lot of homework and collects it for credit. If you stay on pace, and ask him questions when you're lost there's no way that you won't pass his class.

Mr. Quevedo is a really nice, and caring person. You go in hating math and leave understanding it. Like he would say it "Homework is the Key". Hes also really hot in the married with children type of way. In our class their was 3 girls that had a crush on him.

First I have got to say that he made math very understandable to me...I've been avoiding math since High School and really hated it yet as the semester ended i came out understanding it very well...I went from a F/D math student to a B/B+ math student....take him and stop being lazy do your homework you know thats the best thing that can help you..

Mr. Quevedo is a very easy teacher. Sometimes he talks alot of dumb thing that have nothing to do with the lesson but other then that his test are always somewhat easy. All you gotta do is mainly pay attention and your set!!

Great Professor. I highly recommend him. He is clear, understanding, and very patient. He is a professor that actually WANTS his students to succeed, and in the past has actually ADDED % points to test grades to allow for "inflation" . What teacher does that?? If you want to learn and do well, he will help you greatly!!! DO THE HOMEWORK ON TIME

I took Mr. Quevedo's 6 week winter course. This subject wasn't my strongest, but he put it into perspective. He's a nice and personable guy, and likes to crack subtle jokes here and there. I only hope I can have him as my teacher again in future math courses. I would definitely recommend him to anyone else who needs/wants a new approach on math.

Pleasant and clear, Mr. Quevedo had a fantastically thorough teaching style. He answers all questions and ensures topics were understood by everyone. I highly recommend him and wish he taught higher levels of math.

He is extremely helpful, patient, and gives students lots of encouragement. His tests were difficult, but I am satisfied with the grade and the knowledge I received in the end. If you're not a morning person, don't try taking his class at 8 am.

Quevedo is a great teacher, he explains every step in the problem and makes sure you understand it.He always stays after class if you have any furter questions. Do the hw it will help a lot. He is super nice and soft spoken and likes to crack little math jokes. HAHA So Cute. He explains the material nice and slow and makes sure you understand it. The test can be difficult if you don't prepare but if you do his practice problems online you'll do fine. You must do all your math lab hours or you will not get credit for the class.

Proffesor is cool. He once asked us what we wanna see on the test and from where he should base the test off of. He once showed and inspirational video in class. If you wanna get an A, ask him. He wont give it to you straight out, but he'll tell you exactly what steps to take.

REALLY good teacher. I hadn't taken math in about three years and taking his class,understanding his lectures,with no careless and arbitrary group work helped me get a good grade in his class. If you know nothing about math or are scared of math,take him because he will go over things with you ad nauseaum.

Great professor. Math lectures were informative, easy to understand. Tests were challenging but not impossible. No tricks. Attendance was mandatory, and we were checked twice during lecture. There was an enormous amount of homework to complete, but it was beneficiary for students to do so, as it enhanced learning experience.

Easy course but he wasn't the best of teachers. Talks at his students instead of to us. Because of that it was harder to pay attention and really retain the information. Do the homework and study (even just minimally for the tests) and you'll do fine.

I got a D in this class. He's super hard, but he's a good teacher. So if you didn't pass you just didn't try hard enough like me. I recommend him because you will learn. Very hard class, he does his best to help you understand, but this class requires that you have alot of one on one time with your book, and computer doing the assigned online homework. You miss one section you will be lost. Alot of the issues with the Math classes on SMC are due to the amount of time (or lack of) given to cover core material.

Professor Quevedo is an excellent teacher. He really cares about his students learning the material. He makes the class fun & is really easy-going. He is very clear with what he expects from his students. If you are struggling in the class, he will do his best to help you and provides a variety of resources for you. I will be taking him again!

Not a bad teacher. He sometimes can make an easy topic very confusing. You have a quiz every day based on the lecture video from the night before. The lecture video is pretty much used to augment his teaching because he is VERY slow. He has a sound knowledge of the subject matter and doesn't make many mistakes.

I took professor Quevendo for Math 81 & 84 and I honestly recommend this professor to anyone. He cares for his students and would allow you to retake an exam if you failed and didn't like your score. He does give a lot of Hw but on test dates he only collects a few sections. I have learned a lot in his class and would continue to take him.

He gives an open note quiz daily but it's a question from hw, so as long as you do your hw regularly, you'll do just fine. He gives practice questions before exam and it helps a lot too. Professor Quevedo is the greatest math teacher alive. He is a great lecturer as well has making himself accessible before and after class. He responds to emails as quickly as possible to answer any question, etc. If a student fails this class, then they should look at themselves in the mirror. There is no excuse to to get no less than a "B."

Professor Quevedo has been the BEST math professor i have ever had. It's hard to come across great math professors, and Quevedo is one of a kind. His lectures/homework/office hours helps you build your foundation in math. I have very weak skills in math and it's the most difficult subject for me. Quevedo helped me so much.

There are daily quizzes based on daily homework. He gives opportunities to make up bad test scores depending on how the class did. His lectures are amazing and clear and he is always open to help out students outside of class.

Professor Quevedo is the greatest math professor on the planet. I took him for Pre-Algebra and now I'm in Algebra, and I couldn't be any happier. The way he teaches his classes, you cannot help but learn, unless you just don't pay attention or don't care. He makes learning math fun and he is very funny. He will catch you off guard with his humor.

Professor Quevedo is the best math instructor at SMC. He does give a lot of homework but that is good practice for the exam. Mostly those math 20 students who gave bad reviews were students who hardly attended class and would just mock the professor during class and laugh at others who asked questions. His homework is a lot but the class is easy.

Prof. Quevedo truly cares for his students. Right off the bat he understands students trouble with math and includes a section on his syllabus on the psychology of the "growth mindset" and how it relates to math. each class starts with a 1 question quiz, usually from the homework. He also leads AGS which is SMC's honor society which I joined.

Prof Q isnt even that bad, he does give a lot of hw but it helps for the exams. Sometimes the hw has nothing to do with the exam tho/: he has review sessions before exams and it REALLY helps. Sometimes he makes the easiest concepts seem really difficult tho which pisses me off, but over all hes a pretty good professor.

I am incredibly grateful I crossed paths with Professor Quevedo. He is the most patient, understanding, and nicest professor I have ever worked with. At first I bombed the first exam, but do not be discouraged-he really takes his time to explain the material and he is always accessible outside of class. I highly recommend this class. :)

BEST PROF EVER!! He's the nicest, sweetest, most caring math prof ever. Doesn't make you feel dumb when you ask questions. Explains things very well, breaks all steps down and walks you through it. Strongly recommend. He is more than fair. He gives partial credit on exams if you can show/prove that you studied and know some steps to a problem. Math 2 is HARD and covers a lot of material and there is a lot of work, but he honestly did everything he could to prepare us for exams. He cares about his students' actual progression. He was a good prof, and I found him to do a good job explaining concepts especially online. Math 26 can get hard but if you go in for extra help then you will probably be fine. He also gives a lot of homework but if you stay ahead of it and complete it on time you will be fine.

I'm a person with terrible math experience from elementary school. Professor Quevedo made me an A student. He's also the most caring professor I've met. He's fair and does his best to explain topics so that you understand it. His exams are very fair and not hard at all if you use the provided test reviews. Would take again every time.

Class had a lot of drops for whatever reason, but if you put in effort you'll be straight. He gives lots of homework but that's only to benefit you. Even if you don't do it, it isn't a huge chunk of your grade. His office hours will greatly benefit you. If you avoid doing these things you will probably end up dropping the class and blaming him.

Retakes + extra credit for all tests. Guided handout lessons. Exams nearly replicas of guides. Lots of HW but designed to HELP. There are WAY TOO MANY opportunities to succeed. Do not miss class. Be on track, do your work and you'll be fine. Math 2 is just a heavy course load. Caring, understanding, approachable. He is eager to help you succeed.

i had a 7am class with professor quevedo, for that reason basically everyone dropped the class and now there's only a few of us. personally I think he got a bad rep the first few weeks of class, he's very personable and wants to see his students succeed. he posts study guide to test, allows retakes after test 3 but I admit there's lots of homework.
