Tests ok, very nice man, happy students.

Difficult material much, much easier to understand because of his teaching. Clarifies concepts very well, very helpful and he has a great sense of humor. Actually enjoyed going to class.

He is a great teacher. I had a 3 hour Monday class with him and he made it fun.

I have Dr. Raynor for the Fall 2004 semester.I'm currently taking pharmacology and nutririon with him he is super duper. I would revcommend him to anyone.

Lots of things to remember because exams are cumulative, but there is no paper or any other assignment. Study hard the notes and you'll be fine. Very good professor.

Raynor is the best....he is clear in his teaching and he does it with humor....he really knows his stuff and tries his best to adequately equip you with what he thinks you should know. He's not super easy but if you put in the work to study for his exams, you can definitely get the A.

This Professor is a nice guy but unclear review of the test,no handouts as a study guide,and a unfocus approach to study for the test.Lectures are insightful and notes on blackboard average and I rate him Average.Unclear,frustrating and nervous you will be because it is a lot of material to cover.Test fill-ins,in order to pass you have to memorize.

Whoever wrote that last comment must be very lazy. His exams are based on his notes and you do not even have to read a text book, so I cannot understand what is so hard. If you pay attention in his class, take good notes then you are fine for his exams. Some students don't realize that they are in college. This is not high School!!!!!!!!!!!

This teacher is a really good and funny person and he really care for his students. His tests are off the blackboard and the are not very easy but just u have to study and know your stuff in the books in order to pass with a A. HE IS THE BEST FOR AP.1,AP.2 AND SCI-530.

do yourself a favor and sign up for one of Prof Raynor's classes. He knows the material inside out, is a very good comunicator and all done with a very good sense of humour.The clarity he brings is very energizing

In my opinion, i think that professor Raynor is one of the best teacher in BMCC. If you take his class you will never be bored. As long as you know the material, you will definetely get an A. Two thumbs up for professor Raynor.

Im now a Rutgers student and I think he was one of the best professors i have ever had. Im so glad I took his class. It helped me alot in 4 year college.

This prof. knows his stuff. He can come across as difficult since his exams are all cumulative, but this is college. You just have to study hard if you want an A. I would recommend the use of index cards as study tools. He is very understanding of his students' situations. Love you, prof.

study the notes - great an A! THATS HOW EASY IT IS. i took his class after i had finish nursing 4 and graduate and wanted to take pathophysiology with him to prepared me for the boards. didn't help for the boards but he's a great professor. easy understand and i had never touch the textbook. also, you'll learn too. wink*

He is great. The best professor I ever had. The lowest grade that I had in his class was a 93. He let you know all you need to study. Paying attention and studying his notes is all you need to do. I highly recommend him to everybody.

He was the best. I had him for the A&P and Nutrition. He cares so so much about the students. You will learn so much in his class. I love hoe he makes the materials so easy but they were really not. This is the best professor I have ever had. And I went to Columbia University before taking extra classes at a CUNY school. He teaches from memory and makes the most complicated things easy to understand without dumbing any of it down. He is incredible. The best part is he's also really funny and a really cool guy.

Prof Raynor very great professor. I took him for Nutrition a year ago and now Pharmacoloy. Much easier than now but as we know Pharmacology is much harder. He explains somewhat in details. Dr. Raynor is the best professor I have had at BMCC. He explains everything clearly, and lets you know exactly what is expected of you in his class. Tests can be tricky because they're cumulative but he goes over everything and makes sure you know you stuff before an exam.

Great Prof. If you are taking Nursing, take all his classes! You will learn AND get an A. I had him for A&P2 and the way and stuff he teaches (strict memorization) has helped SOO much in my first semester nursing. Highly recommended.

absolutely amazing instruction..teaches entirely from rote memory...knew every student's name, yes even the ones who rarely showed up..best of all no final if you score 3A's in the exams...second to none!!!

dont remember the code, but i had him for pharm and patho 6 years ago, till this day, i remember everything he taught me and used the information to survive nursing school, without him, i would have failed since nurses cant teach for anything.

Excellent Professor! Probably the best in BMCC science department. His lectures are informative and very engaging. The only downside is he does not conduct Lab which could be vital to help one understand anatomy.

His test are cumulative and this was a great way never to forget what you learned especially of your a nursing major. You get what you give our if this class. AWESOME professor!! Didn't need the textbook, he explained material clearly and let you know exactly what to expect on the tests. The tests aren't multiple choice, he writes the question and you write out the answer, so you still have to study. He drops the lowest exam grade so if you have an A before the final, you don't have to take it.

Took his pharmacology class and it was the best choice ever! Super nice, super clear! you only need to know whatever he writes on the board - I never even opened the book. Take his class if you want to actually learn. One of the best profs in BMCC. Not your average run-of-the-mill prof that reads off slides like a robot. Does all his lectures in chalk. Tests are going to be on whatever he teaches but explains it crystal clear. Writes all tests himself, no multiple choice, straight to the point no trick questions.

I took Professor Raynor's class for nutrition as a pre-requisite for BS level nursing. He is by far the best professor i have ever taken at BMCC. If i had read these reviews beforehand, i would have signed for up for his A&P II class. His lectures are clear, very organized and you don't need the book.

I absolutely loved his class and learned more during his lectures than I have ever learned in any other class. He is a great asset to BMCC as he is incredibly intelligent, has a remarkable passion for teaching and is a very special and kind human being. Professors like him are hard to come by. One of my favorite professors I've had. Very nice guy, engaging, and makes the material interesting. The class pretty much consists of lectures and notes (no lab book or text book needed). Tests are from notes in class and very straight fwd. I'd take Professor Raynor every semester if I could. Memorize your notes and you'll do great.

I love Dr. Raynor! Really nice to his students and always there to help especially when he sees that one of his students are struggling. Great sense of humor as well. We need more professors like him. If given the chance, I would take him for all of my biology courses. Had a great time in his class.

Easiest A&p2 prof for an A. No textbook needed and no labs. Doesn't use email or PowerPoint.

ok i took 3 classes with this man. pharm, path, and A&P. got all A's. he doesnt use power points or a text book. he writes on the bored (old school). he if pay attention and take good notes you will pass. there are no labs and if you are lost SPEAK UP. in each class, he gave 3 exams and a final. all questions are short answers.

HANDS DOWN THE BEST PROF ! He is super chilled. NO LABS NO TEXTBOOK NO HOMEWORK. He teaches you what you need to know! he makes everything so simple! Prof. Raynor is the best! Nutrition class was easy as long as you come to class and write your notes! Tests are longs and there is no multiple choice , but he gives you questions only on the material he taught in class. Highly recommend!

I'm not joking when I say he is one of a kind, and THE best professor I will ever encounter in my life. Knowledgeable individual, who gives cumulative exams every 2-3 weeks. TAKE THIS CLASS!!!!!

One word. Amazing. I never thought I could understand a science class as much as I did in his class. He grades heavily based on tests and requires a lot of memorization but his lectures made studying so much easier because his points are clear. He do not ask questions that were not mentioned in the lecture. 100% recommend.

Best teacher I've ever had in bmcc. He doesn't read off of slides like the majority of professors nowadays. He really knows his stuff and has a way of making the information stick through his lecture and notes. He writes his notes on the chalkboard which is the way I learned growing up. Make a buddy who will share notes in case you miss class/late.

Professor Raynor is the greatest professor I have ever had in my life. If you want to learn the material without cutting corners and actually leave the class with valuable information, then he's the man for the job. Take good notes, study those notes, and I guarantee you an A. If you pay attention you'll hardly need to study. My average was a 99.6!

Great sense of humor. Highly knowledgeable. My only issue is that he seems a bit outdated on science and medicine. Tests are 100% off lectures and class notes. Making study sheets are a must. Generous extra credit (5-6 points ) Total of 3 exams and you are exempt from the last if you do well on first two (he drops the lowest).

You havet to take notes every class, no books required , 2 exams and final(that are in written from, not multiple choice). Pros: knowledgeable, a little funny, punctual, respectful and pleasant. Cons:a bit old and not always up to date to the latest news, his notes are great but sometimes tough to understand, germaphobic. Overall, one of the BEST!
