If you dont mind looking at power point for 3 hours take the class, all others run away!!!!
Its a shame he is the only one who teaches this class. Unless you know someone with the back tests, you might as well drop. But if you're a business major you have no choice but to take this class so you might as well find someone with the back tests.

Worst professor I have ever had. He never explains anything. The only reason this man has a job is due to ten year, otherwise he would have been let go aloooooooong time ago! He is on a compelte ego trip. Good luck, you will need it!

I did not have any back test and I did find in the class (B). To do well in the class all you have to do is GO TO CLASS and write down everything he puts on powerpoint. If you can memerize lists you will be fine.
Horrible class. I handed in all my assignments and he didn't count 3 of them because he said he didn't get them. I was too afraid to talk to him about it because he'd tell me it was my fault for not making sure he had it in his freakin' hands!!

The worst teacher ever!!! If you can take him for the hour and 15 minutes do it, DO NOT TAKE THE 3 hr with him-you will want to kill yourself. He does not teach at all, so you need the back tests to pass his class. Good luck!!!
Probably the hardest course I've taken at WCU. Subject material is not bad, but he doesn't explain it very well, and expects you to understand it! Tests are crazy hard. He is pretty rotten to students in class, but he is nice outside of class.

the ONLY professor who teaches this course and he kinda sucks. teaches off of outlines that are NOT available on the web yet expects u to copy get all of the notes. do ALL of the memos, even if they are wrong he grades on pass/fail with them.
He puts up on power point everything you need for the exam. If you can't get it all, copy the headings and read detail from the book, then memorize. Very easy. Not so bad if you chat with him outside of class...he's always outside smoking. Just say hi.
75 seat lecture hall and 74 are alseep!! He can come across as a grump during class, but very approachable and nice in person. A horribly boring class, and he's the only one teaching it!

This teacher is one of the worst. It's all lecture and no participation. You better learn how to take notes. Tests, well they require a lot of studying and having back tests. Even with the back tests, you still can barely get a half decent grade.
The worst I've ever had. Very full of himself, abuses his status, and on top of that, he's very boring. I mean, how bad can it get when he has to laugh at his own jokes??? RUUUUUUN if you can (but for the basic MKT, you unfortunately can't).

Once you get over the fact you have to take this course, it's not that bad. Just study the info he provides in class and listen to his examples. The assignments count towards extra credit on exams, so do them. I got an A on the first test.
respectable, fair professor. May be a little cocky at time but dont let it bother you. Just put in the effort and you'll leave the course with some knowledge and impression that he's not as bad as everyone says.

EWW. SUCH an arrogant JERK. Unwilling to help students (even if u see him during his office hours), and laughs at his own non-funny jokes. Back tests are definitely helpful, but overall the class SUX. And unfortunately all business majors have to suffer thru a class with this fat, balding A**HOLE.
Mkt Dept has dee-best (Arsenualt, Gualt, and Patrick) and dee-vurst (REDDINGTON). This man obviously does not like students. Probably teaches because he has to. Every business major has to take mkt mgt and must suffer through him so changing business majors will not help.
UGGGHHH if he was my first professor i would have left west chester. As others have pointed out you can not escape him unless you go into some non-business major.
What a boring and difficult class. No choice b/c he's the only professor and it's mandatory for mkt majors. Get back tests and hope for a C.
This Prof is NOT so bad as what students say he is. Fair, teaches the material well, & respects his students. (I.e.He once kicked a guy out in SP '05 during one Lec cuz he kept blabbing.) Tests: not bad but you must study. Final is a take home. Do all assignments-it'll save you come finals week.
I'm really glad that I don't have to worry about this class anymore. I hated doing the cases, especially the final one. This class is hard, but if you study a lot it won't be as bad.
lucky to take during summer. the guy is a creep but whatever. just make sure you do the memos becase it helps... A LOT
ok heres how you get a good grade.do every memo 25% of total grade youll get an A. Just go for a C on the 3midterms bc thats all you need for the major. Backtests are a MUST to get through the vocab and make sure you know all the math! Final do your best,its never right(work in groups)but itll get you by with a B or C(I got a B). Real jerk though!

Okay, took this class back in SP 2005. Total waste of time! Tests were a joke and every lecture was a Powerpoint presentation. Tests are extremely hard if you don't have backtests. Work in groups for the final b/c his case studies are So out there!! This prof is a complete ****....
FYI: Tests are HARD: 12 Qs=6 math and 6 essay. Cases R given & R due next class. EZ somewhat. Final is a joke. It takes a grp of people to do it. Don't attempt it on your own. It's so BROAD and 1 thing can mean another. Final is accumul8ive in that it req.s every concept U learned in prev cases. He won't help U either. LECS are Powerpoints slides.
I heard the horrors of Redington from freshman year on. I finally have the class. I though Id give him a fair chance. But everything u hear is true. He is the most negative person I have ever met. His lecs are depressing. His work is aimed to make you fail. How does this man have a job anywhere? Redington: PLEASE GO AWAY! YOU ARE HORRIBLE!

i hate this class, but i like prof redington!!! his class is a lecture like any other class. he is very accomodating if needed. gives alot of extra credit and cases are not even alot of work abnd there extra points give redington a chance he knows his stuff and he hjas a heart!!!!

Lecs are all powerpoint but after taking this course, I realized they weren't such a waste of time. Prof. Redington may come across as being a little cocky in class but he's really not a bad person outside of it. He WILL help students if they go to his office. I didn't mind him, personally. But here's some advice: STUDY for his tests!!

Study for the tests and you will learn some things. It's very hard to sit though his 3 hour class because you will be writing notes on his slides from start to finish.

He talks down to you in class. Even so, do the homeworks and study for tests and you'll do fine in the class.
the class is hard- almost impossible to get an A on a test, but even if you leave a Q blank he will give partial credit. he isn't that bad--if you talk to him outside of class he is approachable and nice. he isn't even my advisor but has been extremely helpful!
This guy is such a ****bag. He laughs at his own jokes. I had this guy during the summer for 4 hours a night, and I fell asleep the last three hours. Not a guy you want to take in the summer. Out of all jokes he said, I think maybe only 1 was funny, and thats pretty bad cause he tries to be funny the whole class. prob th worst professor at WCU.
He's a hard teacher and a little boring. He is supernice though. He gives partial credit even if your answers on the test are off the wall. He doesn't use the book at all but if you read the chapters to incorporate into your notes it makes the notes alot more clear.
Stay away from his other sections notes or other peoples notes for the memos. He accuses students of cheating/copying if your spreadsheet looks anything like his. ie: same headings - same layout. Must give him credit if you use his spreadsheet as an example - then you will not get credit for the memo.
Nice teacher. Do the case studys, show up to class, study the lecture notes, and read the book and you will get a good grade.
Amazing teacher. Not very hard to follow either. The case studies help more then one can imagine. Do Not miss class.
This man is awful! He is a horrible Department chair and makes you feel like an idiot if you don't do things the way he wants...the class was sooo hard and it almost seems like he wants to lower your gpa
Such a great teacher. Explain things deeply and completely. Students who give him a bad rating don't do the work and are often expecting him to hand them a good grade. Show up to class and DO the work.
Prof. Reddington is the worst teacher in all of West Chester. How can the chairman of the marketing dept. be so horrible?! He's rude to his students, accuses innocent student of plagarism, and laughs at you when you ask questions. Your best bet -- change your major. My best advice -- get the back tests.
Dr. Redington is...dr. redington, no help, you can't understand anything he teaches, but you have to take him. **JUST GET BACK TESTS, and review for the tests and you'll do fine** ALSO, hand in the case studies, even if you don't know the answers b/c thats pretty much your grade!!!

BACK TESTS are tests that people have previously taken for this MKT course. They barely help considering the questions change every year. If you're lucky, they'll bump u up a bit..but not a lot. Just do well in the verbal part of his exams and get half of the math section and you should pass..My advice: sit next to those who score A grades on tests
Do not pay attention to what these idiots say. Professor Redington is one of the best teachers I've ever had. Not to mention he is a ton of help in his office when it comes to being advisor.

How do u get back tests??? Know or meet someone in your class that has had him prev. because they failed..or because they got the test from a friend who had his course. They will do NOTHING for u..trust me. Redington changes his Qs every semester which is why the BTs are useless!

There is no need to take him, because all the classes he teaches can be taken with another teacher instead. He has a very rightous attitude, and is very rude. Do yourself a favor and stay away from him.
Any good reviews of Readington are done by himself or his family lol. Its quite unclear what he wants for most assignments and he likes it that way. He can be demeaning. Simply put its like the class is some big riddle you have to solve and u have very little clues.
A really hard teacher. Also really boring. Guy just shows powerpoints all class for the most part. Gives 3 tests during the semester that he grades really hard. But, does curve final scores. Case studies throughout that pretty much are graded on whether you do it or not. Has a final case study that is extremelly long and ardous.
Not AS bad as I thought. Class/ lectures where pretty bad though, teaches from dated powerpoints and won't pick up a piece of chalk to teach you the math which made this class tougher than it could have been. I passed and he wont fail you if you try. However encourages questions, but will put you down when you do ask so I dont get that.
