John is a great professor! He is really good making sure you understand the content before moving on, and before testing you on the content. The slides he uses to teach the class are always online or he will usually e-mail you them. Attendance is mandatory, and you should attend class to do well in it.

He's a really great professor! The material is simple. He has notes online that you can print out and bring to class and he goes directly through it. Everything he talks about it is directly on the tests. He makes some cheesy jokes, but you'll get a laugh out of it. Great guy. Be sure to attend class each day!

At first I really didn't care for him, it seemed like he didn't know what he was doing but once he got comfortable around us he grew on me. I think he is an awesome professor and I really don't have any complaints, he is always willing to help, attendance is apart of the grade but a small part.The class is easy also so there should be no problems.

I really enjoyed taking Math 141. The grade that you get is the effort that you put into it. He does the best that he can to make sure you understand the material. I found reading the chapter over before starting the homework to be really helpful because it gives you more practice. Quick responses to questions and a great teacher

If you get the chance, take this professor. He teaches extremely clear and is so open minded about everything. He collects homework daily, and gives you a completion grade. He not only teaches you about math but worthy life lessons. Very good teacher. Ps He gives a review the day before the test that well prepares you.

John was by far my favorite professor! I am really bad at math, but he explains everything and walks around to help while you work on the examples. Every class started with either a quote or a song. Everytime I hear "Closing Time" by Semisonic I think of his class. I really wish he taught Math 141 and 143.

I had John Reilly last semester for math 041. He made the class more enjoyable with his inspirational quotes. John played a random song at the beginning of a each class period. When I didn't understand the material John always took the extra time to help me understand it. I felt like his class was great I would take him every semester if I could!

I really liked him as a teacher, I am not good at math and he helped and explained everything. I am now in 141 and still go to him to get extra help. I strongly encourage you to take him if you struggle in math.

His goal is to make everyone pass. He will give you points even if you get the wrong answer. Honestly my fav professor. He should teach more. :)

He also was really there for the students and willing to help with even non-math-related issues. Great guy; great teacher.

I absolutely despised math before I took Math 41 with John. After I that class, I actually started to enjoy it more and took 141 with him as well. He is a splendid guy and really cares and wants all of his students to succeed. He makes an effort to remember names and is there to help anytime (ex:he replied to some of my homework questions at 2AM).

If you pay attention/show up to class, do the homework assignments, and study for the exams you will get an A. John was the first (and only) college professor to actually ask me how I was doing (as a new Freshman) and encouraged me to join a group and seemed to genuinely care that I was happy. Love him! He really cares that you understand what he is talking about. He is amazing at actually teaching math and making sure you know what you're doing instead of throwing you in the water to drown. He tries to make jokes which are sometimes funny. Quizzes are maybe 2 times a month and there are 3 tests including the final. Highly recommend!

Math has always been something that I have struggled with throughout school, and being in Mr. Reilly's class made it easy for me to understand the material and coursework. We had homework every night, but he is definitely a good teacher, and a good person. He goes out of his way to check on you if you seem different in class, and is humorous too.

I've always struggled with Math, but John got me through it. Make an effort, keep up with web-assign, study for exams. He will do his best to get you through. He always responds to web-assign, which helps big time. Will also grant extensions if you need more time. Sometimes he goes a bit fast, but will go over problems if you need it.

He is definitey my favorite professor! if your not great at math and want good intructution take him. i took his 10 am class and i never wanted to sleep through the lectures because the class is just so great.

Math has been a life struggle for me so I was really scared to take math again but John is willing to go as slow as you need to make sure every student gets through his class. Mr. Reilly is very caring and understanding for all of his students. He wants you to succeed. He does give homework every day, so it can get overwhelming at times. You don't get your grade till the end of the class which kind of sucks. Overall the class is very easy and I would recommend to take him, and for other classes as well.

Math is my least favorite subject, but it's been my favorite class this semester. The lectures can be a little dry at times, but they're not bad. He really understands that students taking this class aren't math majors, so if you pay attention you should get an A no problem. Exams cover the basics and are not that difficult. Good guy.

John is a great professor and just a very caring person. I had him for 139 and support and he was great at teaching math. He does go fast sometimes so ask questions if you are confused. His notes are posted on canvas so print them out before class because if you forget he does not hand them out. If you are not a math major like me I recommend him

I am horrible at math and I was scared to take this class. Prof Reilly surprisingly made it ok. He is very nice and caring. Super accommodating for me with my disability. The only thing I have negative to say about him is he speaks in a really quiet voice so you have to get used to straining to hear him, especially if you sit in the back.

took him at 9:30-10:45 perfect time period, starts every class with music and a quote, cares about his students. Does not just focus on the class, makes small talk and talks about his personal life. Take notes, show up to class because if you don't, you are at risk for missing an in class assignment. Missed one class, only reason I got a C.

Mr. Reilly is a super laid-back teacher who makes you feel comfortable in his classroom. He gives out daily assignments to help you learn better and always starts the class with a daily quote/song. Highly recommend!
