John Ribar is a good as they get. I took this professor three semesters in a row, for three different classes. Enc1101/Enc1102 and American Lit. What ever he teachs he makes you understand the material and if your having trouble he will go out of his way to help you resolve your issue. I highly recomend this professor, RIBAR IS THE MAN!

Took his ENC 1102 class this summer and scored an A; he is very helpful and answers all messages the same day. The research paper is tough, but I got it done. The 6 week class is fast, though.

Professor Ribar is pretty easy and fair. I took this class online - was straightforward, the syllabubs is exactly what we did. Not a lot of complicated work, just small amounts of work due quickly. He grades very fair just be sure to make your work original. I liked his class, just wish he took more time to answer emails. Overall a decent teacher.

I did the 6 week course over the summer. It was a little difficult because I didn't manage my time well, but he grades very graciously. I remember scoring like 1183/1200 or something like that haha. The 10 page research paper was hard cause it took a while, but he grades easy! I recommend him!

I just finished this class online. The course begins January 6th & runs until the end of February. Very easy course to get an A in if you turn in your two assignments every Friday. All of the instructions are on Blackboard and the assignments are straightforward. Very nice guy, always received positive feedback from him! I recommend this course! :)

This is the second class I have taken with Ribar, and I truly wish that I had the opportunity to take more with him. One of the best professors I have ever had the opportunity to take.

I don't understand how anyone can have an issue with him. He says what is expected and it's really simple to do well. It is impossible to get anything less than an A in his class if you do all the work properly and don't slack off.

This is the best teacher I've ever taken at pbsc and I haven't even met him, amazing man great assignments that are educational. Class is not that hard as long as you turn everything in on time by 7pm. Only suggestion I'd make to him is to change it to 12pm on due dates because I often forget to turn it in by 6-7 . Prof Ribar is the best! I took him for 1101 and 1102 onlipublivne, and his assignments are clear and he grades quickly. Beware of asking questions that are answered on the syllabus.

The professor makes sure to provide a clear and detailed outline of what he expects of each assignment. Grading is by rubric which is specific.

The way Dr. Ribar taught the class very effective in helping me learn, he gave many examples in class about what we were learning and helped me understand the texts that were assigned in class.

Professor Ribar was a great professor, I learned a lot in his classWhat I really like about the class was that it kept my attention he talked about things that everyone was engage in, I recommended this course to many of my friends which would be taking him next semester. I like how professor Ribar makes you comfortable he seems like he is genuine

Really great teacher for ENC online! The class isn't a ton of work, and theres no quizzes or tests, only maybe 5-7 papers and a weekly discussion question. As long as you submit the papers and follow the rubric you'll get full points. His assigned readings are also super interesting too, and he isn't super strict with writing prompts and such.

Ribar is not a bad choice. Just meh. I took him for ENC 1102. Everything is due by FRIDAYS AT 6 pm. NO EXCEPTIONS. He will not let you make it up. I had him for the summer A I missed an assignment by 1 minute I had to drop him and take him for summer B. Everything that I submitted he gave me a 100 It is all about a research paper pretty easy.

I took him for the 6-week session in the summer and he was truly the best choice I could've taken. He understands the short-time frame and doesn't suffocate the student with work. Our classmates made a group chat where we helped each other thrive in his class. He is truly passionate and caring, which is shown through his feedback on assignments.

I wasn't too sure when I singed up for this class but it quickly became one of my favorites. I love the subjects we discussed this semester. They're not only fun but also stimulate my curiosity. I would recommend this professor to anybody.

Amazing professor, really fun class. Gives 5 discussion, plus writing assignments (I hate to write but they are easy and fun) and a final paper. Grades fast and always there for you... DO TAKE HIM!!!!

Such a great professor! He is super laid back and gives you plenty of time to complete assignments. He only gives a few assignments so make sure you do them all. His instructions are always clear and he is consistent with getting back to you if you email him. I would definitely take a class of his again.

This is the best teacher I have had so far. He had a lot of patience to help me considering English is not my first language. Very caring, wish all teachers were like this. This man deserves best teacher of the year award.

Class was super easy. 5 discussion posts and 3 papers. No tests or quizzes. The instructions could be a little more clear but overall pretty easy class. The reading for the discussions is not a lot nut you do have to read some plays for the papers.

Took him for ENC1101 summer express course! Would take him again, hardly any work. 6 week course with 3 discussion posts requiring 2-3 comments for the first 3 weeks, then no more discussion posts. 3 essays, final essay is 40% of your grade but as long as youre a decent writer like me youll be good. Finished class with perfect 100%. Thats it!
