I took him for MAT1033 also. He takes MAC1105 way more seriously. Hates talking in class. Wonderful teacher. Gives excellent study guides. No attendance policy or homework. But to pass the class you need to do it anyway. TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN THERE IS NO ONE BETTER!!! Watch out for test two!!! It hard

This guy knows his****! Do his study guides b4 the test, as they are exactly like the tests. I didn't need to do ANY hw. Just his explanation in class was enough for me. Take this guy. And accelerated pace is sooo worth it. No time to forget material and you get done FAST!

Mr. Salak is a very NICE man and a GOOD math teacher. However, if your math skill really suck or you been out of school more than 5 years.he may not be right for ya. he doesn't show step by step examples which a lot of older and returning students need. I passed but I could have used a little more clarity. I not fresh out of high school.

I had him for 1033 and I got a B! I sucked at math and hated it until I took him! He's a wonderful teacher to take thats why I am taking him in the fall for 1105! I highly recommend him for any of the maths he teaches!

Mr. Salak is hands down the greatest Math teacher I have ever had. I've never had a teacher who will do everything in his power to give you the best grade that he can. I was not able to take Mr. Salak for my algebra classes because of sched.conflicts.I DID take advantage of his YouTube instruction to supplement my own what I learned in class and to study for my tests. Check him out on YouTube for a preview of his teaching skills - he is SUCH a good teacher! His YouTube tutorials cover MAT1033 and MAC1105.

Hybrid student: Mr. Salak is the bomb. I really need hands-on teaching with Math. This class only meets once each week with all bookwork available on utube. I took his class on line. In addition to all the stuff already on Course Compass, Dr Salek took the time to make his own videos. His videos were great! They are to the point and easy to understand. Math is not my best subject, but I got through it, mainly because of those videos. I just hope I can get Dr Salek for MAC1105

Salak is the man! I hate Math and he got me through this and made me ready for college algebra! Take his hybrid class you really only need to attend the class before tests! He gives you basically the test the class before and just changes numbers for the tests!

Mr. Algebra is amazing at spoon feeding the difficult material to his students. People want to be around this man because he is funny and genuinely pleasant. He will be missed.

I took his hybrid class last semester for 1033, and I've never loved a class so much. I signed up for his 8 am class for spring...Yes, I'm willing to wakeup this early for that man. Take him, you won't be sorry.

I took 1033 online and I highly recommend professor Salak to any one who is not good in math because the way he teaches it makes it easy to grasp the concepts.His tests are based on the assignments and even the Final exam was not hard if you do the quizzes and homework and watch his videos you will succeed in this class.

Mr.Salak (aka Mr.Algebra)should be called King Algebra he is an awesome teacher. Follow his instructions and go to class and you will pass.I had him for 1033 & 1105 I wish taught pre- calculus. Mr. Algebra THANK YOU for being a great guy and a amazing teacher.

MAT 1033 Hybrid class Summer 2010; 4 exams including final; review for every exam; exams were all taken in testing center; there is a book you buy from bookstore used for notes in class; everyday you work on notes plus quizzes.

Very easy class to do online, recommended for people who are dedicated and good with teaching self. You set your own deadlines as long as you have every quiz and homework assignment submitted by the test date. For each section you take notes with the Youtube video being watched.

I took Mr.Salak over the summer. Attendance isn't mandatory, but I would recommend going, he is so funny that you will just like to go. He does put videos up so if you do miss a class it is no big deal you can watch the video and learn from it.

He's great! I'm currently in his class but am taking him next semester for 1105. I am terrible at math and managed to make A's on all his tests so far and an A in the class. He cares about his students tremendously. He always has some sort of new story to tell everyday. His class fills fast so I wouldn't wait!

I loved Mr. Algebra! He is awesome and doesn't make you feel stupid for not understanding something. He is more than willing to help and really wants you to succeed. This man will make you feel smart with his baby steps, I give a 5 on easy not because this class is easy but because he makes it as easy as college algebra could possibly be. Even if you Don't get in his class because it fills fast, you can watch his youtube video's which cover every problem he has in his lectures.

My whole life I've struggled with math, and was always put in intermediate math classes all throughout school, I've received an A in college algebra and all thanks to Mr. Salak. He has a passion for what he does and truly cares for his students, he's also hilarious which makes the class fun!

Mr. Salak is an amazing teacher. He goes out of the way to help you succeed. His study guides are invaluable, make sure you fill them out. He has a series of YouTube videos that also cover the study guides and some pre-test videos. You have to do A LOT of online math questions on the MyOpenMath website. Pretty repetitive and laborious, but doable.

Excellent teacher and class! Mr. Salak was hilarious and I always looked forward to going to his class. He is an excellent teacher. The study guides are amazing so you know exactly what to expect! He doesn't intentionally try to trick you or fail you like a lot of other teachers.

Before coming across Mr. Salak, Math was definitely not my strongest subject, but he definitely made things crystal clear for me which brought me a lot of success in his class. I either get an F in math or an A, and this time I got an A thanks to an AMAZING teacher. He really does care and he breaks down problems to ensure everyone understands. Mr. Salak is also very funny and makes math enjoyable (so yes it is possible)!! You need to come to class and pay attention to his reviews!! Also the you tube videos are great!

If you have the chance to take any course that this man is teaching, take it ASAP. Once you get in there, you will see what i mean. Makes math incredibly easy to understand, especially when learning new concepts.

Do the homework or you won't pass. Hilarious class lectures, sometimes goes off topic to tell jokes. Very helpful in and out of class. He teaches because he likes to teach and is there for the students. Every student wants to be in his class so sign up quickly. I wish I could have him for every math class.

I took Mr. Salak for remedial math and college algebra online. He is a great teacher! His lectures are on YouTube and they are broken up into short videos so you don't get overwhelmed. They are pretty funny and very clear. I loved taking his classes and I wish I could take all my future courses with him!

Mr. Salak is an amazing teacher. I took his MAT1033 course in the Spring, and MAC1105 for the summer. His instructions are clear, and there are no surprises. Tests/Final and homework is worth 20%. He doesn't allow make-up tests. So, for instance you miss test two, test three will count for two grades. Study his study guides and you will be fine.

Salak changed my life. I dreaded taking math and put off returning to college after 10 years because I was afraid to take math. This professor is amazing, very clear of what he expects from you but very fair. Math is all about repetition, go to class, do homework, study. With honest effort, I made an A. Nothing in life worth having is ever easy.

Best professor I have ever had. Super funny, always willing to work with you, and tells you EXACTLY what is on the test. Prior to taking his class, I haven't done math in maybe 5 years. I got an A+ on all his tests and passed easily with an A, and actually understood everything. Definitely recommend! Oh, and no textbooks or online codes need either

John is basically the GOAT in this area! Literally! All of his homework is online. His reviews go hand in hand with the test he gives. He is really easy-going and makes this horrible subject of math so understandable! I'd recommend him to EVERYONE who has to take this course. Of course you'll have to do some work but he is the best!!!

Great professor, you'll get an A if you do the homework and review guides. The review guides for the test is literally the test. Ive learned more in this class then I learned all through high school. Only received a C because I slacked on the homework due to medical reasons but would def recommend him 100%

Took Mr. Salak's MAC1105 class online; he's so good!! He provides videos he made to teach you the material (SO helpful) and he provides a textbook online, but I didn't use it. He provides reviews that are really similar to the tests! Lots of HW (unlimited attempts), 3 Tests, and 1 Final. He gives extra credit on tests! I would highly recommend!

BEST TEACHER AT TCC!!! So funny and helpful. I took MAC1105 and ended up getting an A in the class and I'm absolutely terrible at math!!! That says a lot on its own. TAKE HIM.

There was a lot of homework assignments which in total only weighted for 20% of your overall grade. The final is a full 20% and other exams are for 60% so you have to do well on the tests and especially the final. Must get 100s on all the homework. His videos are easy to follow and on youtube so you don't have to get a textbook.

Although I haven't taken his class, he produced all the videos that my instructor used. The videos broke all the lessons down to the point where it helped my middle school daughter in some of her classes. If he taught MAC1105 I would sign up.

Took 1105 TWICE and Prof. Salak is Best math teacher at TCC semester isnt finish yet but i got over 100% on all my test so far and know Ill pass the FINAL. HE does a CLEAR review on each test! If you want to pass MATH take him if isnt available WAIT to take him well worth it! He works with you i promise !

My favorite professor at TCC. I wish I could take him for every math class. Math is my worst subject, and I got an A easily. Just buy the notes, show up to class, and show up for the test reviews. No final, instead you get the option to retake 1 of the unit tests.

Mr. Salak was hands down the best math teacher I have had in my life. His way of explaining things just made it so much easier to understand. He was also very willing to help if you were struggling, and not opposed to fixing your test if one or two problems were ridiculously impossible. I went from math clueless to able to tutor. 10/10 recommend.

Took him for the Fall 2018 semester for MAC 1105 and it was the best decision I ever made. If you show up to class and pay attention to Prof Salak you will understand all of the content. He used a program called Lumenohm as a grading tool for his class that also has homework assignments. Take him if you can, he's really the best.

I Wish there was the ability to use more than 3 tag words because Professor Salak would have many more positive ones. I have failed MGF1106 online, I've withdrawn from it @ UCF, and I just can't pass it online. Prof. Salak not only helps it to be understandable but he cares that you pass his class. This man is awesome. He goes through the math with you. Youll learn the lesson so easily. You wont be left behind. If you have a question, or stuck, he will make sure that you understand what hes doing. Hes caring. He wants you to pass. He lets you use your notes during tests. This man is just awesome. Listen to me, this man can teach. He literally breaks down every problem and goes over it. If you still need help, he doesnt hesitate to go over it again. The homework is pretty easy if you pay attention in class. Hes grading is easy. Attend classes and I guarantee you an easy A.

If you ever have the chance to take Professor Salak's classes, DO IT. He is the kindest person who truly cares about his students. Tests are honor locked, but the first 3 have make-ups that are not. Assignments are due all at once on a set date. He's always accessible outside of class and it is obvious he loves what he teaches. Best professor ever!
