Really easy class. Only 3 tests and online quizzes. If you come to class and listen to his lectures you'll be fine.
BORING CLASS! There are no definite reviews for tests- You just ask questions and he'll tell you that it "might be" on the exam. His lectures are BORING. : (
Really nice guy but has trouble answering some questions. The material is super easy if you just read, and hey, the online quizzes are a great grade booster!
Online Quizes really easy and boost grade. tests arent hard but arent easy. very boring class. Easy A if you go to class and can actually sit through and take notes
Class is so boring. There's no point going to the lectures... all the notes are posted online and all the lecture includes is him reading the notes.
His lectures have a lot of information, but can get to be boring. The class is not that bad, but there could be a better professor for the class.
This class is somewhat difficult. I feel that he is very unhelpful as far as what the test material will cover. The quizzes help boost your grade, yes, but the tests are quite overbearing with no review guide and no extra credit.
Tests are extremely hard, lectures are boring, the only easy thing about the class is the quizzes. Do not take if you don't plan on studying almost every day. HARD CLASS
This class is boring. All the lecture notes are online. 25% of your grade is from easy quizzes on WebCT, that are automatic A's. The other 75% comes from 3 tests which are fairly difficult.
The guy is smart, he knows his stuff, but not sure he knows how to teach it to 400 kids who don't care. The material is kinda hard, and unless you're an anthropology major, you will never need 99% of the info he requires you to know.
I would NOT recommend this class to anyone looking to only satisfy your gen ed requirement. This is a ridiculously hard class. Stay Away!
HORRIBLE TEACHER! dont reccommend. the other human species teachers are so much more interesting and easier. impossible to do well in his class. he makes it very boring and is mean as hell.
This is a hard class expect to study a lot. He has a really bad rep but if you go to his office hours he is really nice and helpful. As long as you go to class, study, and talk to him you should be fine. He will give extra credit if you go to class.
Terrible teacher! Always punished the entire class for someone's cell phone going off when it wasn't everyone's fault... no point to going to class because he just reads off his own notes that you can print from online and yells at people. Horrible!
His class is incredibly boring and tedious. He honestly believes that everyone cares about what he is teaching. He also punishes the class for the most minute things, and his tests cover vast amounts of material that you can't possibly study completely.
This guy is just horrible. He gives you vast amounts of information and the test question are too hard for anyone that doesn't study 24 hours a day. I didn't use to study much, but i did a lot with the class and only got 50% on the tests. Never EVER take!
BORING!! Try to get professor Long
this teacher gives impossible tests!! I studied for hours for one test and the questins were so detailed. He is a hard teacher and I wouldnt recommend taking his class
BOO HOO. you should take this class, but not with this teacher. It's sad because this course has the potential to be really interesting. He isnt interested in engaging the class and is kind of hesitant to say what he wants to about evolution.
This teacher sucked, all he did was read the notes we got off the internet to us. I can do that myself at home...i didn't learn anything.
Class is boring, but overall there is only like 3 tests, and online quizes are 25% of your grade which isn't bad. He gets pissed at cell phones, and when people leave early. His tests are terrible!!! I never got above a 70.
Really interesting class, not so great teacher. He only had 3 tests the whole semester and they were sooooo hard to study for, I never got above a C on them, and was lucky to get that. Take ANY other teacher....
Tests are way to hard, and pretty much impossible to study for becasue there is so much information on them.
Only go to class if you want to hear a monotone lecture on notes you can get online. God forbid a cell phone rings or leave early because you would rather sleep in your bed instead of the seat in class. He grades on the +/- scale and tests are impossible.
Extremely boring!Tests are RIDICULOUSLY HARD!!!! I studied 4 1st test for 2 1/2 hrs- got a 61.The 2nd test I studied for 4 1/2 hrs, got a 58! Luckily I was in class for Extra Credit and got 5 points on Test 1, and he HAD to give a 12 pt curve on 2ndtest!
He will work with anyone.Drops test grades. The tests are okay, just to much information in notes. I have an A. I think he is awesome
The tests are somewhat challenging. There is a lot of information to study. The online quizzes are pretty easy though. Overall, if you work hard you can get a good grade.
This teacher sucks. He doesn't care about what he is teaching and he, at times, doesn't even know what is talking about. His notes online are extremely unclear, online quizzes have no relevance and his tests are so hard just expect to fail.
online quizzes aren't bad but definitely not relelvant to exams. test's are a lot of info and very hard. he's very boring in class. online notes aren't clear and are confusing sometimes. take a different professor! class sucks.
Tests are NOT as hard as everyone makes them out to be. If you study then you will be fine, there is a lot to learn, but it is NOT impossible. He drops quizzes, curves tests and final grades and gives extra credit for coming to class!!
Worst class I've ever taken. He tried to tell us that this class wasn't a Human Evolution class! What a nutcase! Tests are EXTREMELY HARD! My best advice: Get another teacher!!!! Don't take his class.
THIS TEACHERS IS VERY CLEAR AND Understandable. He will work woth you if you need help , but there is way to much information in this class. i would recommend another teanher unless memorization is not a problem.
This class was supposed to be easy, sorry to disapoint you. Not nice, freaks out about cell phones, studied for a week still got a c on his test, Quizes are online but still ment to be tricky. Not clear about material.
This is the worst class you can take, especially for a Gen Ed. He is not clear on what he will be testing on, doesn't give any type of review, and his notes are scattered. DO NOT take this teacher. Very hard tests, hard to pass with a D.
This was one of the worst teachers i have ever had. he is beyond boring and his tests are impossible. The worst Gen Ed you can take. A huge mistake taking his class, you will not do well.
Impossible class. If the class average on tests is a "D," maybe the professor is doing something wrong. Really nice guy, his tests are just impossible. (ALL details: there is nothing you can answer just by going to class or reading the book.)
Entirely too difficult for a Gen Ed class. The information on the online quizzes have nothing to do with information on the exam. The online notes are not helpful, especially since they hardly ever coincide with the book. Class exam average was a D!
he is not that hard, the online quizes are right out of the book, the tests are difficult but with studying the notes in the class you will do fine, gives extra credit for going to class (i only went to class 5 times the whole semester and got an A)
This professor is very difficult. He was not interested in what he was teaching which made the class very boring. His exams were impossible and the quizes were very tricky even though they came straight from the book. There were many mistakes in them!!!
Schultz is very unclear about the material. First he posts lectures than he doesn't. The tests were on an extreme amount of information. If you want an easy Human Species class, don't take him!! You have to memorize chapters and chapters. BORING LECTURES!
Must memorize alot of useless information but if you study the slides and lecture notes you can get an A. I hate science and I got an A-. Online quizzes can be tricky but if you go to his office hours he will help you.
Test material basically comes from in-class notes, so that makes it easy to follow, but...the lectures are mind-numbingly boring and because the class is made up of so few points, if you get a D on one test, you'll be lucky to make it up to a B.
He is so boring and the tests are extremely hard. Even the online quizes are rather difficult. You seriously have to study like a week in advance and memorize every little detail to do well. Take Professor Long for this class if at all possible.

he really ist too bad of a teacher, he just needs to realize that not everyone is an anthropology major. in my opinion requires way to much effort for a gen ed class, if you go to every class and study hard, you should at least make a B
he sucks
I dropped this course it was so hard... Boring man who gets a mean attitude if one person's cell phone goes off and then takes it out on the rest of the class. Refused to post notes or give notes for two weeks because of this. EVIL!
Heard his first semester @ UCF was a bad experience, but this semester he adapted his teaching process. Class was very straight-forward. He gave us the answers to many of his in-class pop-quizzes and the rest were open note. Semi-difficult tests.
Hard class. I thought I got an A after walking out of every exam but then I ended up getting a C or D. If the whole class is struggling and a lot of kids go in and talk to him, he will consider extra credit. Lots of memorization!
Hard class, but he is really nice. He allowed us to take a quiz that would add 16 points to our exam grade. He's a cool teacher, the exams are hard, but if you study and read the chapters, you can get an A. You just have to work hard.

Hes a great teacher, helped me whenever I didnt understand something. Anthropology is very interesting. You have to memorize a lot for the tests and its impossible to get a 100 but he did give a 16 point extra credit test which was nice. I recommend him
I HATED this class. He lectures for the entire class time, the whole class is notes on top of notes. It is VERY unclear as to what is going to be on the test and he only gives 3 test so you have no chance to make up for it.
Not as hard as everyone says...a lot of information but if u print the lectures and bring them to class its rather simple..just fill in the blanks. If you dont mind studying go for it..if you're lazy..no way.
sooooo hard way too much memorization i'm taking nothing away from this class def. wouldn't recommend it....he gave extra credit quiz cause the class average on a test was like 60....that's not a good thing!
Okay guys. Stop knocking Dr. Schultz just because you're lazy. He preps you for graduate school... and he's a fantastic guy. Come in to class wanting to learn. Don't expect an easy A, but you can get a lot out of him if you put in the effort.

I read these other posts before taking his class and was scared. But he is NOT as bad as people say. He gives you the slides online and you just go to class and fill in some blanks along the way. He explains everything as much as needed. Good professor.
Not as easy as you'd think, but an A is do-able if you really try. This isn't an automatic A class, but if you just give it a little bit of effort you'll be ok. Professor does everything he can for you, except give you a free grade.
I wouldn't take the time to rate this guy if I didn't feel that he needed it. I don't think anyone should have to suffer through a semester of nothing but monkeys/primates, learn nothing, and fry your brain through endless hours of memorization about nada
Dr. Schultz puts a lot into his classes. Though he's not easy on his grading, he makes sure that you get something out of the class. He is always willing to assist those who need help and makes sure to reinforce ideas that the class may not understand.
I am taking Schultz's Forensic Anthropology class over the summer. His class isn't that hard and he tries to make sure you understand. Tests aren't that hard, and are setup well. Try to study, and you'll do fine.
Forensic anthro was cake. I don't understand why so many people are ripping Dr. Schultz? I guess some people think that a degree should be handed to them. And why has no one rated him "hot" yet? Is everyone blind? He is pretty h
If you do not want to memorize STUFF, why are you in college? Duh?
Good teacher, class wasn't as easy as other anthro profs, but I wouldn't say it was hard. Interesting lectures, but I could be biased cause I have a little bit of a crush...
This teacher is awesome. Puts notes online but leaves spaces to be filled in so you have to go to class. Tests come straight from the notes and very little from the book. Provides great supplemental reading.
Ok, yeah learning about monkies is boring. I think Dr. Schultz is great though. You need to study for the tests, however; its not an easy A. Hes very helpful if you need it and I like the online notes. I REALLY loved his forensic anthropology lecture.
As long as you show up for class, you'll get an A>
His class ins't hard it just takes work. If you study you'll do fine. His test aren't that hard. Not that intresting but he does a good job explaining. Show up for pop quizes that help ur grade. Good teacher.
Intro to Forensic Anthropology is great! His lectures are clear and they accurately reflect what he puts on the exam. His lectures on identification are the best because he uses actual case studies. Very interesting but not a professor for students who want an easy A.
Prof. Schultz is a great. He provides the lectures online so all you have to do is print them and bring them to class to add info to. He gives thorough reviews for his tests and often releases class early. Print the notes, go to class and you will do fine. Lectures are not that boring either!
Good teacher and a good speaker. Its a pretty easy class......if you go most of the time. Great sense of humor and good at keeping students attention, especially for how dry some of the material is. If your gonna take anthro. I would defintiely take his class again.
great guy..easy quizzes..easy exams..the material isnt that interesting but he makes it bearable..go to class and its an easy A
Go to class b/c of quizzes(which are always easy)you need to study the material to do well on tests, but going to class helps. he makes a learning about monkeys(that almost all you learn) suprisingly interesting. he has a sense of humor so the class is pretty tolerable.
Easiest antrhopoligy class ever; go to class , take good notes and above all study hard and it's an instant A. He's a great speaker and is crystal clear when he's explaining something. Great sense of humor relates well to students.Show up for his class for the very easy "fun quizzes" which can help.
Awesome guy. Very clear and the tests are very straightforward. Just study your notes thoroughly and you'll definitely get an 'A.' Gives fun quizzes sometimes and makes boring material as interesting as possible.
I HATE science and do not believe in evolution, BUT I have an A in the class because he is an excellent teacher. His lectures are very interesting he shows videos to help us understand things. You have to study and take notes but if you attend class you should be okay. This is college! Do some work!
Interesting lectures, very nice guy, very helpful. Don't think that makes this an easy class! Pop quizzes and notes means you have to attend every class, and the exams are not easy. A very good teacher, though.
He is a very good teacher but the tests are pretty hard. He gives a lot of easy quizzes just to help your grade. You have to attend every class cuz he gives a lot of notes everyday. There are some movies but you have to pay attention cuz they'll be on the test. You have to be interested to take it..
Wonderful teacher, beware of his test. Pop quizzes, planned quizzes, and etc are attendance based. Notes are online, but lenghty. Movies shown are okay, and do show up on the tests. I heard that Long is a easier professor, but I learned alot in this class. It was worth the effort. Slackers beware!
This teacher was absolutely awful. He is very unrealistic in what he expects you to learn and his teaching is not consistant. If you are the typical average college student and you do not eat, breathe and live anthropology, I do NOT reccomend taking this class. DO NOT take this as your Gen-Ed!!!
awesome teacher, bit sarcastic but its hilarious. Go to class bc he gives "fun" pop quizzes that boost you grade. Tests are a bit difficult, study the specifics in the notes and you'll do fine. Dont need to buy the book ;p
Took: Forensic Anthro. I'm not sure why he has such a low rating. Very good instructor, takes an extreme interest in the student's learning. His tests are straight-foward and reflect his pre-test reviews. I really enjoyed his class.
Go to class, print out the slides and take good notes or you won't do good. The tests are pretty hard so you have to study and he doesn't give an exam review. There are a few fun quizzes but they don't help much, they're only worth 5 pts.
Mad notes to take, study study study,go to class for fun non-topic quizzes, and the topic related ones are fairly easy, o yea study some more because your gonna learn about a million monkeys and their ancestors, you dont need the book. take this class with caution if there isnt a better teacher.
Great instructor! There are a ton of notes, though. Make sure you go to class for the fun, but off-topic quizzes that he gives to boost your grade. His class was actually very enjoyable. I recommend that you take it!
Good professor, knows his stuff. The tests and the subject matter are a little above the average gen-ed, but hey it's college, we should be smart. The easy quizes and cool videos were fun but it still is a class about evolution and it is a lot of work so only take it if it sounds more fun to you.
This has been my favorite class at UCF so far. I actually looked foward to going to it. He shows great movies that relate to the lecutres and make them easy to understand and interesting. Just take notes and study a few hours the night before and you'll do fine. You don't need to buy the book.
Great teacher. Relatively easy class, but you should go. Notes are online and usually very easy to follow. You don't need the book. He showed a lot of movies, and they were interesting and relative to class. I recommend taking this class.
Class was pretty boring but easy as long as you study information. I've heard there are easier classes but if you need a class this one is ok. He was organized in the beginning but as semester went on he was pretty confusing. Grading scale is kinda tough but if you study its possible to get an A.
He's an alright prof., but he really knows his stuff.
I HATE THIS MAN! So did the rest of my class. He is seriously EVIL. Avoid him like the PLAGUE.
this is one of the hardest classes i have ever taken. it was like learning a second language. He is so smart that he expects you to be a damn archaeologist. The test are hard as hell. you have to go to every class cuz he gives pop quizzes almost every other class. extremely hard class dont take it
JERK! Avoid it!!! I tried to contact him after the class cuz of a few questions about my grade and he was nasty about it! I went to every single class and took notes and recieved every extra credit and guess what still ended up with a C+! He couldnt even give me the B!
He is a very good professor, knows his stuff well and his tests are not too difficult if you study hard enough. Book was not really needed. Very important, attend the class if anything for the random fun attendance quizes which WILL help your grade out in the end.
awesome teacher, knows what hes talking about (he has a forensic show on discovery). class is super easy if you come to class and print out slides. gives plenty of quizzes to boost grade
Great Prof.
Pretty easy, but my class was online. The quizzes were easy. The essays kinda sucked. He's not very helpful though, even if its his fault.
easy class, he just goes through notes and the tests just come right from it. you dont need to buy a book either which is good...i'd take him, nice guy
He is the best Ant professor. Super clear with lectures, always there to meet with students to help them out. By far, I would suggest any class he offers!
Very easy-going and conversational lecturer. Very knowledgable. Makes information accessible and easy to understand. Connects information well also. Very good professor.
No complaints about his teaching style, but his tests were unnecessarily difficult for a gen. ed. class. Way too many details to memorize, and the exams focus on those details. None of the students in my class were even anthropology majors...
Had him online, very simple. Just print his notes and mark the charts in the book before you take the quizzes. Keep up with discussions, write a few papers, and you should get an A.
Poor attitude for an instructor; makes things unnecessarily hard; although his material seemingly is easy, he asks for the mundane specifics instead of general info; very condescending towards students if you need help. Run!
Great teacher. You will learn a lot. It is hard but he is fair.
I rather fall on a sword....
He is definitely the best professor I've had yet. He is extremely interested in his students' learning, and he tries to keep the class interesting. The material isn't the easiest, but the format is very clear. I studied a little bit for each test and got an A in the class. He loves what he does, and always has a story to tell.
www class not difficult at all, do the weekly assignments/quizes and ur sure to get an A... B at worst...If not, you're either slow, or very lazy.
This guy is great! I'm in his www class, and he is so clear on what he expects--and hes really prompt in answering questions. it's nice, for a change, to have a prof that knows what he is talking about! Even though I'm not a antho major, he makes me feel like the class is worth my time. prof schultz rocks!
Take this class online. Either take this online or take long. Easy class, papers can actually stimulate some good thoughts, but the just of the class is not fun. WWW IS EASY.
This is a professor that truly enjoys teaching. He will spark your interest in the material and is always available for as much help as you could ask for. No contest best professor I have had at UCF - and I am a senior.
For the online class there are a lot of papers to write (the majority are 2 to 3 pages); good pacing is required. While getting a good grade is just a matter of doing the assignments, there are still interesting discussions.
i really enjoyed this class, it was a little challenging, but dr schultz is so passionate about anthropology, it makes you want to work a little harder. there were only three tests, a paper, and some labs that gave you a few points. the test are a somewhat difficult, even after studying, there is just so much to remember! good class though
Great teacher! He makes the subject interesting because of his passion for it. He's always willing to work with the students. He's funny and easy going. Take detailed notes, make flash cards, and study study study for the exams! They are very detail oriented but there are other grades to help you out, too. DO NOT BUY THE TEXTBOOK! SERIOUSLY! DON'T
Took online class, easy! But - modules are due in groups of 4 about every 6 weeks. Usually each module has a paper or other slightly long assignment, so manage your time wisely and find yourself coasting to an A!
Very interesting and hard at the same time. I would only take the course if you have an extreme passion for fornsics and bones, the tests are rather tough, a lot to memorize, all the bones and how the bones were injured and what was cause of death and how long ago are important. I've taken him before for 2511, but 4521 was way harder, good luck!
I took his online ANT2511 class and as long as you keep up with the work you will do fine. There are some papers to write, but he provides you with websites to use and it doesn't take much time. I would recommend this as an online class!
way funny. helpful. needs to be meaner to the dumb kids though.
I took this course online to satisfy General science req., but w/ no interest in subject. Read the first couple of chapters to get the jist of the info, but after that just read notes and not the rest of the text! Sorry to say, but SOOO easy. NO TESTS!!!!! Just a quiz for each chapter (just on the notes!) and a few assignments. Awesomely easy.
online class, pretty easy overall, you need to be careful though because there are deadlines about every month and it is easy to get behind. Also on required discussion postings they are due about 3 or 4 days before the deadline so i lost a few points like that. Overall an Easy grade, i got a B but I decided that i didn't want to do the last paper.
Dr. Schultz is amazing! He is humorous and very intelligent. Keeps his classes interesting, but also realistic and full of facts you really need to know. He doesn't waste your time. If you take good notes, and pay attention then the tests will be fine. If you don't show up, be prepared to beg for the notes you missed, because you'll want them!
I've taken him 4 times so I know him pretty well. He is the only one UCF has to teach forensics and Arch. science so it was by default. Very hard for those that have trouble memorizing. The tests are HARD and are short answer/fill in blank/drawing. He is a nice guy and does give alot of extra credit to help those that want to pass. Fun/hard class.
Not bad, but not as good as he used to be.
This class was too much fun! It's a mix of CJ students and Anthro students. Book not needed as he gives great notes/slides. Study! Tests are tricky.Multiple choice/fill in (some that are paragraph long fill-ins). AMAZING guest lectures...this class is not for the faint of heart or squeamish...but you should know that already!
He will tell you the first day of class this will be HARD. If you are not prepared to eat, sleep,& breath Osteology do not take this class!Previous anatomy class would help.Even though difficult, the class is wonderful. Lots of hands on with bones.Tests are written & practical.Practical is timed with a buzzer.Lab & class are mandatory.
Had him for For. Anthro., Osteology, and now for Archeological Sciences. Yes you have to study for the tests (Duh, it's college.) They aren't too bad if you just keep looking over notes and try to memorize. He pulls in real scenarios for lectures, which is awesome. Great professor!
The class is called Archaeological Sciences, so I thought it was going to be more about historical arch and methods, but it's forensic-based. I'm not a forensic nut, so I had doubts about the class at first. But Schultz is a really great professor, and I'm glad I took this class. He is funny and keeps class interesting.
Schultz is really smart and helpful, but his tests are ridiculous. Hardest class I've taken in Anthro Dept. I lost interest in the middle of the semester, but there are some fun activities like geocaching you can do for extra credit. Take him if you are prepared to work your butt off even for a C. Tough Tests...
Terrible teacher, does not care for his students! He is too busy with his own work, and dedicates little time. Has undergraduate adviser position as a front to pose as someone who cares, but he really doesn't.Unless you are a graduate student who lives in his office stay away he is extremely judgmental, will look down on you, and try to intimidate
Extremely condescending attitude towards students! Thinks he is the cream of the crop, favors males, is especially condescending towards women.Material is great, but he should not be a teacher!
Agree with previous post, this guy is a grouch! He's completely got the wrong attitude for teaching. Watch out, he'll tell you not to study for sumtin and forget he said it, and "won't remember." So review everything for the test!He can be a bully to students.
Go to class and take notes. Put a star next to anything he repeats or tells you to know. Study for the exam and you are golden. You might even learn something interesting. He really likes teaching and he does a good job.
Had for intro and forensic anthropology And was very difficult. Had study guides and quizzes papers and movie reviews. He knows his stuff but teaches a challenging course for both classes
Schultz isn't as bad as everyone is saying. He is actually a pretty cool guy. At times, he'll skip over material because it's either too complex or not that important. He gave out some extra credit in class, but not much. I will say, his class is no walk in the park. You have to study your butt off for his exams and sometimes it may not be enough.
Dr. Schultz is a pretty cool teacher. He definitely knows his stuff, and this class is almost never boring. Exams are mental though. You have to attend class or make a friend to get notes. His exams are a mix of multiple choice, fill in the blank and short answer. Make no mistake in scanning notes. Know them like the back of your hand!
This class is so interesting. Schultz' exams are really hard though so make sure you take the time out to study for them. It is A LOT of information, but you definitely will come out having learned something.
This class was great for people who wanted to learn forensics. The tests were based on all the material, so if you studied you'd get an A. He gives out extra credit, and will help you if you go to his office hours.
He was tough but fair. If you want to learn about the forensic field, he is the man to teach you. He's available to help you but you have to put in the effort. Awesome teacher & I learned A LOT. Plus, he's hot ;)
Classes are full of useful information. Grade depends on how much you study so take good notes. Does play favorites and usually men. Can be arrogant, judgemental. If he doesn't like you for some unknown reason then he never will. Tests all about memorization of his notes and he tells you what to study. Osteology is the hardest class in anthro dep
I've taken three classes with Dr. Schultz and found them interesting and informative. If your field is forensics, he will provide a solid foundation. You do need to study, early and often, but an A is very doable. As for favoring male students, I'm a female and never felt slighted. Don't forget office hours if you need additional help.
Great teacher. Well-paced lectures with plenty of time to answer questions and let you write everything down. Attendance is not required, however, all test material is covered in lectures and assignments are turned in during class.
One of the best professors ever!!! He makes class so fun to go to and really enjoys teaching. His tests are easy, but you should definitely study. He makes you learn and really knows his stuff. TAKE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was the best class I've taken at UCF so far, and I'm a Bio major. He knows so much on the subject and has so many interesting stories. He also is a true master at the subject. Tests were fair, not too difficult if you study thoroughly. He adds other assignments to pad your grade, which I love since most prof. don't do that. TAKE THIS CLASS!!!
Very tough but 100% enjoyable. I loved attending class. He made everything interesting and made sure you were understanding the material. Assignments were pretty easy, but not worth much, but the tests were killer. Study hard and you can do really well, but don't slack off for a second or you'll fall behind pretty quick.
I took multiple classes with him. He is an amazing professor if you show interest and willing to learn. He has no time for lazy people and people looking to coast through. Make sure you speak to him, introduce yourself, stand out and you will do well. Can be sarcastic but take what he says with a grain of salt and youll do fine. He really does care
Schultz is the best! My favourite teacher so far at TCC. He is kind, considerate, always answers questions, and really cares about his students. His class is a lot of work, with readings of plays as well as literature and lecture quizzes that he always announces ahead of time. As long as you study and do all the work, you'll pass and have a blast!
Took forensic anthro over the summer. Schultz is actually pretty funny and has a lot of interesting stories. He loves people who participate in discussion! Pay attention and speak up in class and study, and you should do well. His tests are tough, but it is a 4000 level class.
This was my favorite class at UCF. Dr. Schultz is an amazing professor who knows his stuff. He's very funny and he makes class interesting but the material is already interesting in itself. Attendance isn't mandatory but his tests are based off of his lectures so if you want to pass, go to class. I highly recommend him!
Minutiae is key. Memorize everything on your notes and his. Then you'll get the A.
Tests are very detailed and full of a lot of information. Also they are fill in the blank/ short answer so you really need to know the material. Everything he tests on is based on his lectures which he doesn't post online so you absolutely need to attend every class or have a good notes buddy. The class itself is very interesting but very difficult
4 test, too much material for them.. over 100 questions on each. memorization is what he makes you do... quiz is hard. if you learn by doing things he is the worst for it.. you could spend hours studying and regardless the test would ask you everything possible from the notes and what ever he mentioned in class... def not taking him
This was hands down my favorite class ever taken. I only wish I'd discovered it and Dr. Schultz sooner! Lectures are amazing. What you'll be tested on is very clear. It's a LOT of technical info & you need to study very hard for an A. Exams are tough; know the info inside and out. Textbook is helpful in open-book Labs. Can't wait for Osteology!!!!!
There should have been a prerequisite for this class. He doesn't give any homework, and we didn't need the textbook. The tests cover a lot of information, too much information even though he took out a lot of information because of Hurrican Irma. I had to put most of my focus into studying for this class just to pass. He is a nice guy though.
You 100% have to be at every single class because he only posts part of his lectures online and so much of the exams are what he says outside of the lecture. You also need to study for the exams because they are super detail-oriented fill in the blink, short response, and multiple choice. He is a really interesting teacher and I enjoyed the class!
Dr. Schultz is a great teacher. This class is hard - but he is very clear with his requirements for the exams and WANTS to help you pass. You need to study. Go to him if you are struggling, he loves to talk to students and appreciates feedback. He himself is a Forensic Anthropologist for Orange County, and he knows what he's talking about.
The key to getting a good grade in this class is to show up to every lecture (and I mean every single one), and to take really good notes; he will ask you about anything and everything. Majority of your grade comes from exams but there are some 'fluff' assignments to help your grade. He is very accessible/helpful if you ever have any questions.
This class was a breeze, idk why the ratings are "hard". Show up to EVERY class and take super good notes. If the dude talks, just write down what he says. He hints at alot of things that will be on tests. You NEED to give yourself time to study. Multiple choice, short answer tests that require detail. If your memorization is not trash then u good
I absolutly loved this class!! Very well educated and credible as he has worked on cases himself. 3 exams, 2 quizes and a handful of smaller grades to help you out. As long as you show up to class and actually take notes, you will pass this class.
Lectures are interesting but doesn't post full lectures so going to class is a must. Information is pretty straightforward and easily memorized. Tests are comprehensive and detailed but no where near difficult. Great teacher.
