He's a pretty good teacher. He's unorthodox, if you're in his 7 o' clock class, you end up missing a lot of class because he cancels for some reason or another. It's an easy class because there's no homework, but it's difficult in that your entire grade relies on two tests basically. He's also obviously biased. Otherwise, he's an interseting guy.

Makes learning history fun, always able to relate events from 200BC to now. Couldn't make it anymore clear. I wish I could take him more. Lectures everyday, so its important to be there to take the notes. He's very understandable.

A dang good teacher. One of the best I've ever had. He's genuine, approachable, easy to understand, passionate, fair and balanced, it was a good experience. I have retained nearly everything from his courses. I ended up taking all but one of his classes the college had to offer. I recommend him.

Alright everyone says he is great and to me he isn't bad if you are able to listen to lectures all day then take this class. Me personally I have to be organized when I take notes and it's hard when he jumps around. I will be taking my next history class with someone else. The class would be so much better if we could use notes.

Seriously the most amazing professor you will ever take! He lectures through story telling and everything is so interesting. I wrote down almost everything he said and starred everything he wrote on the board. He offers extra credit and if you try hard he will boost your grade A LOT at the end of the quarter! Great guy and is super helpful.

Mr. Simpson is an amazing professor. You have a midterm (worth 50 points) and a final (worth 50 points). The lectures are informative and he has no trick questions on tests. He will have to miss days on occasion but when he goes he has the optional opportunity for extra credit. Although attendance isn't graded it is really important to prepare.

Simpson was great, funny guy. I had to take his evening classes for both HIST&156 and &157. If Simpson wasn't teaching, I would have skipped this class everyday. He made History very interesting and told it like a story. He grades papers leniently and he makes his own tests, which are fairly easy if you pay attention and take notes on his lectures.
