this prof is really easy and best one to take for history. i took it over the summer and he made it easier. gives tons of notes but repeats them and talks slowly so you can write them down. provides reviews which is exctly lik the test very easy tests and easy grader. one research paper and helps alot. Perfect summer class professor, made the class fun and exams were not hard if you paid attention. One paper and class presentation on topic of your choice which was harder then the exam. Highly recommended

Very Easy. Just pay attention and you'll be fine. Tests are fine, but getting up in front of the class and reading your paper is quite stressful. Otherwise a great teacher. You can't get lower than a B.

I only had him for 3 weeks and I absolutely love him! He's so funny and charamatic and I'll gurantee you'll laugh and find his class enjoyable. And you also understand the material because he makes it interesting. And his hair is wild.

This is the kind of professor you hope for if you don't like history or happen to love it. He's clear, funny at times, and gives lots of notes. He tells you what's on the test so if you study, you'll come out with an A. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND.

He is the one in every million professors that realize most students don't give a**** about the subject, they just need a degree to make a decent living. You learn a lot without stressing over a grade. You'd have to be a total slacker to fail this guys class. All he asks is that you show up and don't sleep

He's funny, he's interesting and even if you're not a history major it's interesting. He definitely has a mean streak if you fall asleep in class, play with your cell phone, your cell goes off in class, or if you talk while he's lecturing. He bases final grades on 6 grades - a paper, a presentation of your paper, a mini-assignment, and 3 tests.

i took professor Speranza in the spring he is a wonderful professor. His exams are the same as his notes. He tells u what will be on exam. very easy going, u have to attend class, u can only miss 6 classes and then he fails u. OVERALL great professor take him he makes history fun. u have 3 exams 1 paper n an oral speech only for 3 MINS.

never thought id laugh so much in a history cl****. i hate history, but i loved going to his cl****. he is funny, intelligent, and has a way of explaining things in a way you can understand. give you the terms the day b4 the test so u basically have to be lazy to fail his tests. make sure you take notes & BRING HIM LOTS OF A&W ROOT BEER!!! He made history became a great story. His test was easy, but the way he graded it was hard. You had to write exactly what he wanted, if not you'll get -1. The way he graded the paper was more meticulous than English professor.He gave comments for every sentence. Even though he was good at teaching, but he was really a hard grader!!!!! Careful guys.

Professor Speranza was great. He's funny, corny at times, but at least he keeps you engaged. He knows all the side facts that make history interesting and hilarious. If you show up on time and don't skip his class he'll love you, and if you take notes, you'll pass for sure (with a decent grade that will be high if you study!).

he will tell you that you dont need to know roman numerals yet he puts them on the test. marks questions wrong for spelling! he ruined my 4.0 by giving me a b+ even though i deserved an A

how nice it is if he curve everybody's grade. Lets say C to B-, and B- to B+. his exams r not too hard but u gotta know what he is talking and teaching abt.

Great teacher, he teaches the class like you have to take it and not like you are a history major, Some people here are saying he grades the paper hard but the not true, he shows you all the gammar and spelling errors but it doesnt effect the grade all that much, he tell you what to know, as long as take notes getting an A is easy in both his class

professor speranza is extremely funny. if you have him in the morning you'll definately be awake the whole time. the text book and notes are necessary but he tells you exactly what's going to be on the tests. i always looked forward to going to his class :)

Very corny, 1/2 class spent off topic--no wonder he isn't here fulltime. Claims to grade fairly, but puts "-1" on correct answers. Picks favorites and will curve your grade based on it, contrary to what he says. Although limited, take good notes and it's an easy class, especially if you do not enjoy history

He's a very eccentric guy & his appearance does not strike as a typical professor-like appearance; he's like Jack Black's role in the film, "School of Rock." His grading is fair, though this is a class that you should not miss due to the high level of note taking that goes on for each class & you will need to study for the tests!

If Professor Speranza ever lost his job, his next job would be a stand up comedian. Haha I absolutely LOVE his class. This is the first class, where I'm actually excited to go. Professor Speranza is the man! He's wicked awesome, and his hair is all over the place. It's the only class I actually speak up in and feel comfortable in.

This is the only class I look forward to go to throughout the week. He actually makes it interesting enough where everyone engages in conversation and the way he teaches helps me remember everything. He's a really funny guy too, and he loves his women, with "long black curly hair".

My first day, I thought he was a quack. After that, I think he is awesome. I think a history major should take a different class, because this class seems to be a little too easy for a history buff, but absolutely awesome for people who aren't in tune to history. I love history though, and still found his class VERY fun.

Bleeping Awesome, he's stright up, will blow your mind on the information he knows, taught as of now 75 history 121 classes, and always keeps it interesting, needs a A&W rootbeer for the few tests you receive to get browny points, not hard at all, takes everything from the notes, again BLEEPING anazing guy! taking him for 122, **** yeah!

I just want to clarify something. Just because this professor is fun and easy going, that doesn't mean his tests are! You really have to STUDY. No, not the day before. I did that with all my tests (6:00 pm to 4:00 am) and my highest grade was a 83. I got a B+ because the oral presentation helped me. I would recommend, but study study study!!

Great professor, he knows and covers the material very well. Has a slight attendance policy, but you're going to want to go to his class. He keeps it very entertaining, if you think history is a boring subject he'll definitely change your opinion. Tests are easy to study for as well, he gives terms to study the class before.

One word to describe this professor: Hilarious and a riot. He tells so many jokes and stories. I found history boring until I had him. He made it so entertaining. He may seem intense the 1st day but don't let that fool you. The only thing to look out for is his tests especially the 1st and he grades your papers pretty thoroughly. Take him!

Took him for western civ II, One of the funniest people ive ever met, definitely makes you want to go to his class (even at 8 in the morning) assignments are easy and interesting, would absolutely take him again if I had the chance!

This man is awesome. The first day he comes off as a little intimidating, but his class was the class I looked forward to every week. He's funny, he tells many interesting stories, and he teaches history in a modern sense which helps to understand what happened. Tests are 100% easy and the research paper was graded thoroughly so spend time on that.

He's nice but I didn't like the way he taught. He writes the words on the board and explains what you have to know but its not always clear. I wrote a lot of extra things I didn't need to know which threw me off on the exams.

The class is easy, you just gotta do the assigments and to really review the terms that he assigns for the test. He had a peculiar way of teaching, its like he is telling a story! Loved his class.

Honestly, he's hilarious. This class was so entertaining. I had him at 11, and it was right after a 9:30 class, and there were a few times that i planned on skipping that 9:30 class, but i didn't bc i knew i had this class right after. It's not hard to show up, but you pretty much have to come to class. It's worth it though. Tests are okay.

He can come off strong at first but do not be discouraged he is a great professor. Originally I assumed he was going to be a jerk because he seemed so strict with all his rules. Don't come late to class, don't pick your nose etc. If you're a slob don't take his class. He's very animated and has a great sense of humor.
