Professor Stern could lecture off but he wants change and for students to know about the corruption in the United States. Primarily movies during the semester and two papers. There is also a final but it is based on the movies and material during the semester. Hes a great professor, he hates phones and computers so dont blink it out.. OK.

This prof is not bad, but not great. He doesn't lecture a whole lot, but if you don't enjoy discussions on conspiracies, then you may find it boring. (no phones/computers) Mostly, you will need to pay attention to the movies to pass. Assignments: 2 papers and a final that can be on anything. He is an easy grader, very simple for a 300-level class.

Basically, you watch movies for the majority of the semester which is A- ok for me. There are 2 papers and a final. The final review sheet is not much help though, but the final is based on the movie. As others mentioned, he does vent a lot about the government and government conspiracies.

2 papers & 1 final. The final is based on the movies. Tip: Submit papers for feedback (before the due date). Use the book "War Is A Racket" & scholarly sources for citations and footnotes. The review sheet is vague. Pay attention to the movies and take notes on class discussions to do well on the final. Outside research on films helps w/final.

Professor Stern is funny and actually knows what he is talking about. The class is mostly movie watching but don't fall asleep, the final is based on the movies (just key facts) He lectures for 20 minutes beginning of class and then movie time. 2 papers (4-5 pgs) and a final. 50% attendance, 50% final. Final is multiple choice.

Two papers. One final. I don't think you should take his class, if you want an A. Papers are difficult are more difficult because professors can give whatever grade they think you deserve. We should all advocate for midterms and finals. This way it's just easier to make sure you get the answers right for the exams to get the grade you deserve.

His class is fairly easy to do the work, don't go anywhere near your phone in class, and you will pass. However I went to class, and he would still mark me absent. So I confronted him, and when I did he said I gained four absences when one class had passed when he previously told me I had six. He then raised his voice and told me I was wrong.

His work isn't hard either its 3 5-page paper and monthly DB but his class is so useless in person as he just rambles about his personal life and barely about the topic at hand. Do not take him.
