great teacher, totally easy.

This course is diffcult, there is a lot of information to be learned. Puting that aside John did the best he could. lectures were only as long as necessary. He does tend to show up when he feels like it, he still covers all material. Test not easy but fair.

He is good teacher and u should definitely pay attn to the little stuff. Can be very sarcastic, however I found him to be amusing. I enjoyed his class and am looking forward to having him teach Biol 110. Be good to him and he will definitely be good to you!

He writes the notes for you, all you have to do is show up to class and pay attention!!! He's Very sarcastic, but curves the final grades. Many people dropped from my class but I stayed and earned a B but he gave me an A.

Mr.Stoypra IS hot!! His teaching abilities are helping to "mold" me into the perfect student. I'm slow at learning new things but Mr.S. takes his time to teach... what it is I need to know. He makes me want to learn more. He is by far.. the best teacher that I've had thus far! He is however a little tricky!!!

I highly reccomend Pr. Stopyra, because he provokes your interest in anatomy. Though it`s a hard class, he makes it fun and provides you with all the notes, you just have to memorize them.

Great teacher..gives you the best notes. It is best however to ask him AFTER class if you don't understand something. He is always willing to help explain... but I don't think he likes too many questions while giving his lectures. I enjoyed having him as he also can be funny at times, he seems to be a nice fellow.

Excellent professsor, great teacher. You can ask questions and he will answer it. The class is not easy, so if you want to get a good grade, be prepare to study hard. He is straight to the point. He do review and he tell you what's going to be on the test. Study his notes, I really like the way he teach. Good luck and study the notes he gives.

Best teacher at ccp. Took this class over the summer with Professor Stopyra and I couldn't be more grateful. His teaching style is relaxed and his humor will help you remember the material. Really funny guy. Clearly this instructor is here because he loves teaching and wants his students to succeed. Take him you won't regret it.

This professor goes over the material too quickly. He tends to hold the class past the time it is actually supposed to end to finish lecturing. I think he needs to work on his organization skills. There is no review or curves. You need to study the text, your notes, and the notes he provides for you. The lab exams are easier then the lecture exams.

Mr. Stopyra was an unorganized professor. He favored certain students more than others and showed it well. He always kept the class back late. The only good thing about him was that gave curves for some exams and he helped during the lab final exam. He is not an easy professor and he is NOT the best Bio teacher at CCP. I wouldn't take him again.

He's a bit intimating at first, but if you ask him for help he will help you. Overall great teacher. Study the notes he gives you and you will pass his test. Midterm and final are hard, but again he'll help you if you just ask.

Hands down, the best professor at CCP. If you can get this teacher, consider yourself lucky. He wants his students to do well and he'll help you to succeed. An intelligent guy with a heart of gold. Lectures were clearly presented, engaging and humorous. He was always willing to help and stayed after class to do so often. He is by far the best teacher that I ever had. We didn't use the text very much cause he hands out packets which are exactly on his tests. Very smart man, helpful, extremely nice, plus he's a cutie. A good, funny professor. Take his class and succeed. He understands this is hard material and gives out plenty of notes that cover exactly what will be on the test. Clear from the start that he doesn't want to trick students or make it so hard that they fail. Lots of memorization because 110 is a hard class. Not the teacher's fault! A good choice.

Professor Stopyra is a funny, fair and caring teacher. He expects his students to be adults and to take the initiative to do the assigned work and to study. If you study the material given and pay attention to the information that he emphasizes, an A is within reach. A&P is always a lot of information, but he makes it pretty easy to understand.

I took his class in the summer for anatomy and physiology I. It was a fast paced course but he covered the material. Very funny and gave out good notes which he tested from. I thought he was fair and I would take his class again.

Stopyra was extremely helpful for my Anatomy and Physiology 1 course. You don't need the book because he gives you notes that he tests directly from. His lab exams are extremely easy because he tells you EXACTLY what you need to be able to identify or know on the test. I'm taking him again for Spring!

Caring & Helpfull. He had office hours after class and I spoke to him 3 times for over an hour after class. He listened. His notes were clear and logical. He takes his tests directly from them The class is not easy. you must study. My horrendous classmate was lazy and weid, but he was fair, even to someone like her.

Dr. Stopyra is a GREAT teacher. Although he gave out notes for every chapter, the book is still needed to study. He's willing to help if you show an effort. The class is NOT easy, you have to put in the work. This isn't high school it's college, so you're expected to be able to manage your time and put in the effort needed for a good grade.

If your a cut to the chase kind of student, take stopyra. He is very interesting repeats himself a lot but that's what's important. Also make class entertaining.Test come from lecture and note. I took AP2 during the summer. Excellent and entertaining professor who has a great energy to teach. He's funny and straight to the point. Did not use textbook once! Test questions come straight from handouts. Anatomy is challenging material regardless of the professor teaching. You will get the grade you work for and an A is possible!

Organized Material. Well presented & Summarized lectures. Some of my class mates are incompetent & unintelligent. The work is too much for them. But he was nice & helpful even to people like this. This guy is gold.

I start my nursing program in the Fall & his course gave me a wealth of information. You can never have enough information in this field. His lectures are packed with relevant information. He covers these extensive topics even going overtime to give us all the information. Study his notes. This guy is dedicated. I highly recommend him.

Nicely presented, well organized Professor. He explains every detail. Uses video. Uses humor to liven up class. Some of my class mates lack learning skills & do not belong in the medical field. If ou want a challanging class, packed with information, this is the class. I like him.

Mr.Stopyra knows his stuff. If you study the handouts & take the time to comprehend the concepts you will do well. He is very up front about what is expected & what you need to do to pass his class. He has a good sense of humor. A&P is difficult no matter what & he explains it as plainly as possible. I had him in the summer & got a decent grade :)

He is a good teacher who is very knowledgeable. He has notes that you can, and should, download for his class as he uses them for his quizzes/tests. He repeats himself a lot, but this usually means it will be on a test. He does not help at all in the dissections you need to do in lab. I would choose another teacher if I had the choice

Love this professor! Great style of teaching! Yes it's hard but thats just bio in general. Took him in the summer had an A! If u take him and complain is because you're just lazy because it can't get easier than him! Yes lab final is naming 50parts but is easy I learned it in 30 minutes! Just study and pay attention in class you will be fine!

I had him in Summer II 2014. Everyone got 100 for the final lab exam. HE IS EASY He talks a tough game, but if you memorize the notes, you will get a high grade. He is an active professor. He is funny and it helps the time go by. I would take him again again.

Mr. Stopyra was great. I heard a lot of people complaining about him but I think they just didnt want to put in the work. It is a difficult class and takes a lot of studying and memorizing. Mr. Stopyra is very nice, funny, and gives great notes. He seems interested in teaching and is very knowledgeable. I really wish I had him for 110:(

Stopyra is a great teacher. Everything you need to know for the tests and quizzes are in his lectures and hand outs. You'll have to pay attention and take good notes but an A is possible! Don't bother buying the book for Bio 110 at CCP! He doesn't teach from it but I still feel like I got a great grasp on the material. He is hilarious.

Easy Professor. Clear notes, with many tests curved. Funny and entertaining. Some of my fellow students could not do the work and wanted to blame everyone , but themselves. I liked his notes. All and all, I would take him again.

Funny, made lectures interesting. Gave us real notes. We did have to study and there was a mountain of material. He was actually quite nice. I would take him again if he teaches Micro.

He was clear and well versed in just about everything. He used analogies and keeps your interest. He was nice. He was funny. The class was not easy, because there was so much material, but he is about the best professor I have taken there. I would take again in a heart beat.

Had John for A&P 1 and 2. He's probably the most straightforward teacher you're gonna get. All information is in the packets(chp outlines) he put online for you to download off canvas. Lectures are important to attend because he adds lots of info to the outlines. ALL tests are multiple choice, four quizzes, two midterms, two finals. Good teacher!

Energetic Professor. Lectures with spirit. He put feeling into it. In lab he spent time with each of us and even remained after lab ended and worked with us. When lab ended, he remained if we needed him. This class was a lot of work. He was the best Professor I have had at this college. I would take him again.

I had professor S for AnP110 summer 1. Hes funny in his own mind so that makes you chuckle. No book needed. Take notes and print out the slides and you'll be fine. I also had him for ANP 109 summer 2. My first 109 expired. I missed the first work week of 109 due to vacation. I looked at the slides that he posted came back to a test and got a B.

Overall, a fair guy. Lectures were intense, but could follow from his notes. The notes were comprehensive. A lot of material, but understandable since it was Human Anatomy. There is a lot to understand. It is sad that so many under-performing students with displaced personal issues, were in the class.

You will like this guy. He tells it like it is. He is not easy. He has a cool sense of humor. Even though there were many "horrible" students in my class, he was still polite and fair to all of them. He curved many of our test...a lot! His notes were the best . Take him!

Only someone with personal issues would take exception to this guy. He was fair, considerate and knowledgeable,an experienced teacher. Clear notes. All his test came from his notes and some from his lecture. I "lived" with the notes to get the grade. There was a lot of material. All Exams were 100 questions. I learned a lot in retrospect.

This is a tough class and if you are not willing to read a lot, this is not a class for you. Pay attention and write down whatever points he keeps emphasizing during lectures, it is possible it might come on the test. Do not take any quizzes and test lightly. Although he curves some of the test, he is still a tough grader. Lab is a little boring.

I just finished with him in Dec. In lab he would go from table to table checking on students and helping. He added a lot of points to Lec Final. It passed most everyone I know and it moved a lot of us. He was funny and told things like they are. I would take him again for Bio110 if I can.

Took him for the early summer session. A mountain of material to grasp quickly. This professor was intelligent and funny. He gave everyone I spoke to a better grade than they expected. I wish I could have him for A&P II.

Stopyra is very knowledgeable, he knows A&P II and a million stats about it too! I'd recommend you take him if you're a hard worker. It's not an easy A class. It's a lot of material but Stopyra makes it clear what sections are on the test. His cynical humor keeps the class interesting!! You can ask him a million questions, that's a HUGE PLUS!

He connects AP2 with things that go on in the everyday world, as well as on the global level and also gives the history/story behind certain facts--basically, he teaches in a holistic interesting storytelling kinda way.

Toughest class I ever took. However, it was quite fair. Grade is based on testing and not falsely inflated. My classmate, she could not cut it. She posted several negative posts here repeatedly, but she has only herself to blame. This material required time and effort and a commitment. The teacher was fine.

Intelligent, caring professor. Well structured class, but very difficult and loaded with material. One must study. The lady who posted these negative reviews contradicts herself, if you read the post carefully. She simply, could not do it. This is a class you have to be up for.

This professor was not easy, but I learned a lot. This is not a class for everyone. My classmate simply could not do it. She has made multiple, confusing, disjointed posts here. Actually, she needed a lot of help and never got it.

The grade was test based and he made that clear in writing. I knew what I had to score in the test to get the grade I wanted. Some student was unprofessional, lacked concentration skills, lazy and made unwarranted derogatory comments about their successful classmates, because she simply could not do it.

This professor lectured, gave printed notes on all chapters and grade was testing based, like any other course. He has a lot of knowledge and imparted it. Nothing to complain about, unless you can not concentrate or didn't get the grade you wanted. A typical, heavy pre-med class.

It's clear that everyone has the same options about him. You'll love him. I personally enjoyed the class and would recommend him. I have seen for my self.

I just had my first classes with him last week. I never trust this website from previous experience, but I should of listened to those who had a positive review. Professor Stopyra was clear and entertaining. I will probably enjoy this class. Great first impression!

This professor appears to have the class well planned. I have high hopes for this class. The class is full and more students have added. No one dropped. Now, I am glad to have Professor Stopyra.

I just got in his class this past Saturday. The class is full. Others can not get in and are still trying. Grading was clearly spelled out. He gives printed notes on line. In Lab he came around and helped us individually. Lecture was interesting and he seems to know a lot. I like this class.

Just had the professors mid terms. Well, they were what he had said. I did OK. It was a lot of things to learn. He relates the lesson sometimes to current events and places and he cracks me up!

I hope I do well in the finals. It was a lot of material, but it was like the professor said.

Gives out outline notes and emphasizes what will be on the test during lectures. Take your notes everywhere and read a little each day. Highlight what he emphasizes.

Honestly, Prof. Stopyra is really good at teaching so he makes sure you understand important materials that will be related to the exams. Just absorb the lectures along with the ppts and studying won't be too hard. If there is any confusion, go to his office hours and he will make sure you understand before you leave. Highly recommend.

I just got my grade and it is higher than I expected. I am satisfied.

It was a lot of material, but instructor was good. My classmate cut class, cut lab was unprepared, no pencil for tests, confused and at best and a fool. She was, in fact, stupid. She was horrible. Everyone is glad we will never see her again. We felt sorry for the Professor.

Much, much material for a summer class. Too tough for some people. The Professor was quite experienced and very knowledgeable. He is extremely well organized and a excellent lecturer who really did explain explain the material. He is available to help outside of class. We liked his style and highly recommend him.

I had so many Professors who put up the power point presentation from the book, turned out the lights and read it. That was their lecture. Professor Stopyra did NOT do this. He really lectured. He has his own notes and he engages the class in his lectures. His tests were hard, but I get it. I would take Professor Stopyra again.

A lot of students complained that he was not organized as far as the material for the test. If you take notes,study and record all of his lectures you will be fine in the class. Study your notes listen to the recordings and you will pass with a A or B. He also gives a lot of extra credit. He Wants everyone to do well.

It is clear that this is not a class for everyone. You must have some intelligence and dedication. Almost everyone in my class got an "A" or "B" at the end. The people who could not do the work were gone by this point. I liked the class.

Prof Stopyra gave us a testing schedule at the semesters start. He gave printed notes for each chapter we covered. There was a lot of material. He clearly expected a level of intelligence & commitment. It was a lot, but in the end, everyone I spoke to got a "B" and many got an "A". I recommend this Professor.

Material was overwhelming at first, but I adjusted. Last 2 quizzes were easy. Everyone got an "A" in the lab final. Easy! I read over the comments here and can see why some people just never got it. It appeared he wanted those people gone. I agree: everyone I spoke to after the semester did in fact get an "A" or "B" grade for his Bio 110.

Professor Stopyra gave lectures paralleling his online notes, but not EXACTLY the same. I liked this. I hate when other professors read in class what I can read myself. This Professor gave us different approaches and presentations to the same material. I got an "A" and I know about 6 other people who got the same. He's was fine.

Grade based off of 4 lecture quizzes, mid-term lab exam, mid-term lecture exam, and a final exam (all weighed equally). There arent any actual lectures, just his notes that youll need to study/memorize and supplemental slides. The first 3 weeks youll feel overwhelmed with material, but it gets better!

Easy, organized, interesting and straight forward. I would take him again. I recommend you follow his notes. Easy.

Online course was clearly detailed by week and task. Grading test based. there was much to memorize. In the end, got a higher grade than I expected. Nothing to squawk about here. If you can not get a good grade here, you got problems from the neck up.

Modules organized and clear. Lots of extra credit opportunity. Doing well now and I think I will do fine at the end in this class.

I had him in Fall 2021. Everything was posted in a logical, orderly fashion. You do what this Professor tells you and you end up with a great grade. I was able to drop my lowest grade. I would have taken him for Bio110 if he were teaching it this semester.

This Professor treated everyone with respect, including my nasty, idiotic, arrogant classmate. My classmate has serious psychiatric issues and has failed at life. My classmate was like luke warm water, you just want to spit her out of your mouth. Even people like this, he taught and gave them more breaks than anyone should. I'll take him again.

The whole Class was completely on CANVAS. He gave extra Credit in lab & class. He would call on anyone who wanted to answer. You could read the book and use it if you liked. Yeah, there are always misfits who cannot succeed at anything or have an ax to grind. Almost all my friends got an A in this class. I would take him again.
