I have taken Professor Strong for two semesters now. He is a great professor who wants his students to "have a seat at the table." With that being said, the course is not an easy A; it takes time and effort on the student side to get a desirable grade. He is very helpful. Great lecturer although it can be lengthy; definitely easy on the eyes. Lol

I took this professor for ACCT 102. He was a really good teacher. Actually seems like he cares about his students and takes the feedback we give on things into consideration. The class itself isn't too easy but if you pay attention to lectures do your homework and study you should be fine. would definitely recommend this teacher to someone

One of the best professors I have had at SAC. Not only was Personal Finance extremely important, but he made it funny and cut through a lot of the "periphery" content in the book. I would highly recommend him as a professor and this class in particular.

Mr. Strong provides thorough lectures and notes each week. I love how he is very personal with his students, and takes the time to answer questions and go through practice problems throughout the lecture. He has a specific schedule that is provided to students in the first class. Does give out EXTRA CREDIT and exam reviews. (Very easy on the eye).

He is an amazing teacher! I dropped accounting 101 two times before I took him, and Thank goodness I found him. His exams are easy if you study. The online videos are super helpful so be sure to buy the online book. He takes his time to explain things and break things down. He also gives a lot extra credit. Cant wait to take acct 102 with him.

I had a terrible teacher for Accounting 101 so it was extremely refreshing to have a teacher who actually teaches (instead of just mindlessly clicking through powerpoint slides), is on time, well prepared, responds quickly to emails and actually has his heart in his work. John Strong is an excellent teacher.

He really cares about students and wants everyone to pass. He has experience in the auditing field and shares his experience which gives a good insight. He also explains the lessons thoroughly and provides great examples. The extra credit alone will rise your grade by one letter grade but do the work! Also talk to him if you're having trouble.

Prof. Strong is a very good professor. He sets his students up for success. The material is difficult and you're expected to read the text, do the work, and study. But if you do, he'll work with you to make sure that you succeed.

Prof. Strong is one of a handful of professors at SAC that seems to genuinely care about his students. Accounting can be a boring subject at times but he truly pushes students and motivates you through his lectures. This class is not an easy A. Just make sure to complete any extra credit and study the handouts and you will pass with a solid grade.

He truly cares about his students and goes overboard to make them understand the subject. I would of taken him for Acct102, but his class was too early for me which I regret now.

I took his classes in 2 consecutive semesters acct101 & 102. I'm glad that I did. He doesn't take attendance, but we had quizzes in almost every lecture. The quizzes were easy since it was computer-based and almost same as homeworks. Homeworks were also easy, since you can take it multiple times, and the computer gives detailed instruction

Prof. Strong is my very first rating. 1st of all he is a great professor and he really wants his students to understand the material. I took act 102 and the material is not easy. Stay focus and try so you can pass the class. Overall a good guy and class.

Great teaching, explains topics really well (when i didn't attend, my quiz scores were low). He cares,encourages and supports his students and really wants them to achieve their potential. Helps you prepare for tests by giving lots of practice questions and is always has time to answer questions in person or via email.

This class is really straight forward, follow the syllabus and do the work, you'll pass. Professor Strong gives many opportunities for extra credit so take advantage of them and do what you have to do!

I struggled in Acc101 to get a C, but taking Prof Strong I got an A in Acc102. I liked how on the homework you get as many tries as you want, the tests were pretty easy compared to the homework, and the quizzes were a little harder then the tests. Offers lots of extra credit. Definitely recommend this teacher

great prof. Took him for Acct 102 which I hear is typically a difficult class. Thought it was fairly easy. He's understanding. Just show up to class and do the homework. The quizzes and exams are similar to the homework. He offers extra credit (DLA or Online). Easy A.

One of the greatest professors at Santa Ana college hands down! Professor strong is very helpful and his grading criteria is very clear with a lot of extra credit opportunities. He gives great study guides and practice exams which are very helpful in the exams. Just do your homework and and follow his study guides you will pass the class easy!

Professor Strong, is by far the best professor I have had the pleasure of having. I really enjoyed his class, he is really involved with the students so if you have any problems or questions he is always happy to help. He is also very knowledgeable on the subject and may wonder off, but that is because he gets excited to teach anything new.

Professor is a great professor, he wants you to pass his class. He is very nice & cares about his students. He give example from real world experiences. He give you practice homework & problems, the problems on the homework will be on the exam and quizzes. He offer extra credit if you go to tutoring, he will throw some extra credit here & there

Professor Strong is literally a gem in the Accounting department at SAC. His lectures were apprehensible, his teaching style was engaging, and he gave an adequate amount of practice that helped students succeed in the course. In return, you come to class, take in-class problems seriously, study following his study guide, and a big A is guaranteed.

I found his online course overwhelming at first due to my lack of experience with online classes, but after communicating he gave me the opportunity to enhance my grade on prior modules w/ extra credit course work. TO ALL FUTURE CPA! Prof Strong is a must take for accounting ethics fully online. Instead of taking it at any UC's or CSU or other community college, I recommend anyone to take him at SAC. His course is crystal clear, just do your work and you will get the grade, but expect a good deal of reading, writing, and online engagement with your peers.

By far the easist class I have take online. There is a lot of reading and writing but students will have the resources to succeed. I took this class while I attended CSU and I do not regret it! For anyone that is trying to satisfy the ethics requirement to sit for the CPA I highly recommend this class and professor.

On-line course. Very organized. Easy to pass provided you do the reading and homework. Lots of on-line material, power-point - videos and e-learning work. The e-learning module was about the best one I've used to date. Prof Strong ran a well organized course. Highly recommended.

This is my first rmp review, only because Professor Strong is an exceptional teacher. He always tried to engage with us and made sure everyone understood the lecture. Always provided great feedback and taught us step by step through lecture problems. Had him for ACC102 and would STRONGly (no pun intended) recommended this professor.

I recommend that you should take his Accounting 102. He did not require you to submit homework. You did it to prepare for the Test. Also, you should note the main point in his slide and listen to what he says in class, do the practice exercise in class, you will be easy to get A.

I took his ACCT 102 this Fall, he upload practices on the canvas but no required homework. His quizzes and exams are completely multiple choices, be carful, because some are risky. He's rigid and strict, he hides the correct answers of quiz and exam, the students have to go to his office to view. Understand his lecture you can pass, a little tough

The structure of this course makes it easier! I was so afraid that I would struggle with Accounting but Prof. Strong is AWESOME!!! exams are proctored and allows one page of notes. He also started doing a live review which is SO HELPFUL. 1 weekly discussion board post due. As long as you watch the lecture videos, you will pass.

Professor Strong is the best. I took his online Accounting 101,102 this past spring and I passed! Keep in mind I was working full time and taking 4 other courses. As long as you do all your assignments there is no reason why you wont pass. Make sure you take lots of notes for the midterm and final. I will recommend everyone to take his course.

He genuinely cares about his students. Homework is not part of the grade but you have to do it to prepare for test. He has a exam review class before every exam and the exercises are very similar to the actual test. If you want to well in the class, read the textbook along with his Power Point presentations. He explains everything in an easy way.

Quizzes weekly. Test every 2-3 chapter on a full semester. He will meet you after class or during office hours to make sure you understand when you ask for help. His lectures are to the point, long but informative. The test aren't super easy but you can use a tip sheet for the equations. He uploads his recorded lectures for review. Friendly person

Professor Strong was great! Zoom meeting once a week. His lectures are long but very informative. Quizzes once a week. There's a test for every 2-3 chapters but Professor Strong allows you to use a tip sheet. Overall, great semester and great class. I really recommend you take his class for accounting.

If you are looking to get your ethics credits for the CPA then I highly suggest taking professor Strong. Santa Ana College courses qualify for CPA credits! Take this class you will enjoy it and if you put in the effort you will earn the grade you seek.

Took online 8-week class. Overall, easy and straightforward. You need to buy the textbook, which is ~$50. Other than that, you will be using McGraw Hill software to learn and do homework. 2 proctored exams, 1 discussion per week, homework varies, but easy. Lots of extra credit assignments. Allows you to use a sheet of formulas during tests.

Probably the best teacher I've had in all of my community college classes I would recommend him to everyone. As long as you do all the homework which is not hard you will do good on all the tests.

Professor John was really caring in the fact that I had a lot of missing assignments and he was able to be very helpful to open all the assignments up for me again to do them. Professor Strong is a new dad but that did not stop him from teaching what was on the agenda. He graded accordingly and worked very well me even when I was very ill. Beware with every accounting class for both Accounting 101 and 102, you will be required to purchase the textbook whether it's physical or online, just be prepared to pay $50+ on the book. Professor Strong is a good professor though, gives extensions and is very flexible so as long as you communicate with him. Take him, he's pretty good.

This course is difficult but as long as you stay on top of it and stay on top of the tasks required, you will pass, the weekly assignments feel like a complete drag sometimes but in the end its worth it because you will pass with an A if you stay on top of it easily.
