Great teacher! Easy tests! Easy A!

Great teacher makes Government fun! Very willing to work with you if you do not understand the material! For the test he gives you all the terms that are going to be covered on the test. If you do the rewiew you should make an A on the exam.

Sutter's government class is a cakewalk. Easy, easy multiple choice open-book tests. He gives a take home final exam which consisted of 2 essays. He only teaches for about half the class time and lets everyone go which is A-OK with me. Cool guy. So far, all of my government profs have had ponytails.

He is a very good professor. I took his internet course and it went by pretty quickly. However, you do have to write a paper and there are three exams which are pretty straight forward as long as you do the reviews and participate in his online discusions. Word of advice, read everything he posts because you need it for the exams.

I took Sutter's online class for both Govts. Got an A for the regular term...and a B in the summer session for pt2. He drops the lowest grade of 4 tests and a paper...so i didn't even do a paper. study his notes and it's and easy A with hardly any effort.

Great Professor...I took Prof Sutter for both Government 2301 and 2302 and both classes were fun and enjoyable. Other posts are accurate in saying he makes the class very easy if you complete your reviews and attend the online review sessions.

Mr. Sutter, Is the best professor I ever had throughout HCC. I hated Government but with his lecture I had a diferent opinion about poticial issues.

This instructor doesn't make GOVT class painful. Some instructors just seem sadistic forcing students to memorize inane historical and current government details. This instructor doesn't do that. He seems to understand that a solid understanding of basic govt inner workings is a good foundation for students and there need not be too much suffering.

I had him for an online class for the summer and it was so easy. If you just read the material, and study the review sheet, you can get an "A" no problem.

Best online teacher I've had in the last 5 semesters I've taken online. You need to read the book! He gives the greatest notes, just ctrl+f on certain words when taking the test and the answer is already on his review notes. He has class chat before the test so you can ask questions. Drops lowest score of 5. Didnt have to write term paper. I wish he could teach every class online...

I took online for government 1 & 2. These were easy classes that are completely online. The wording of some test questions are a little difficult to understand. There are 4 tests and 1 term paper; the lowest grade is dropped. You won't get a response to email if you don't flag it as highly important. He has live online reviews before tests.

Prof. Sutter is an awesome instructor,I do agree that if you want him to respond to emails promptly mark as urgent. Very helpful with reviews and podcasts. Test are not hard, BUT YOU HAVE TO STUDY FOR THEM AS YOU DO IN ANY CLASS!!! Very willing to help; YOU HAVE TO ASK!!! I'm taking him again in Fall for 2302 and I recommend to friends. Good Luck!

(10-week session) The PERFECT online class. completely online. 4 tests. 1 paper (drops lowest of the 5 grades so you might not even have to do the paper if you do good on tests)..very straight forward and Mr. Sutter is very helpful he replied all my emails and questions within 24 hours...tests are like 60-70 Q..time limit:2 hrs. i def. recommend it

Professor Sutter is very easy. Don't listen to the negative comment. Just do his study guide and use it for your test and you'll get an A every time. He really cares about his students concerns. He's very flexible with his tests. This material is incredibly dull, but he is the easiest teacher at HCC. Take him!

No podcasts this semester, but he did post a very detailed study guide for each chapter. Put the effort into the study guide, get an A. All multiple choice, no essay questions. Most current event questions are easy to google. Quick to respond to emails, understands that you have a life outside of class. 4 tests and 1 paper, drops lowest grade.

His class was very easy.Only 4 exams,1 term paper.Out of 5 grades he drops the lowest grade,so if you doing fine on the exams you don't have to write the paper.I loved it.

He's not as easy as summer b/c fall had a new textbook so he had to everything from start based on the latest edition. All that's required in this class is the review for the exams, he will drop lowest grade including term. Do well on exams, drop term paper. I took him both summer/fall and got A/B's. You have to study!!! I'll con't to recommend!

4 tests and 1 paper, lowest of 5 dropped. Extensive review sheet for each test--put the effort into the review and get an A on the exam. Most current events questions are easily googled. Subject and book are dry and boring but he made it a fairly easy class.

Prof. Sutter is not one of the most communicative teachers ever, but his online class is very straight-forward: take four multiple-choice tests and write one term paper, lowest grade dropped. I didn't even write the term paper since I made As on all the tests and the 0 term paper didn't count. He provides reviews and study material for each test.

Mr. Sutter is a wonderful teacher, he is there for you if needed. He will help you if you ask for the help. Please ask for help if you need it. Mr. Sutter will respond to all you emails and he want leave you hanging. I took him for 1301 and 1302, it was hard, but I learned a lot. I would not take to of the same classes together again.

If you aren't a self starter you wont last in this class. Grade is based on 4 exams and 1 term paper. Dropping the lowest grade. Review is very long and requires you to actually read the book. If you dont put forth the effort to read and do the review you will fail.

Enjoyed this class! Stay on top of things and read read read the book and complete all of the review and you will do fine on the test! There isn't much time when taking the test to go digging for answers on your review so study!! Can't wait to take government with him again!

Took Sutter for Govt 2301/2302 (online) during the summer along with other 2 classes. Aced both classes and it was not easy. He responds to emails very quickly with additional info. You need the book. He prepares all the study materials. All you need to do is STUDY. 4 exams and 1 paper. He drops the lowest grade.

I only made a C in this class because I didn't study. I took it online and he is extremely helpful and will work with you. It's open notes/book and only four tests.

Professor Sutter is absolutely amazing! I had a few questions that I asked online and he was very quick to respond and always helpful. The book is a necessity in his class and you must read it! If you do that, you are guaranteed to get a good grade :)

Amazing instructor. Do the unit reviews, make sure to review your review (meaning read over it), and be sure to copy and paste the lecture notes into your review. Do these things and you will do really really well.

Awesome professor. Be sure to have the lecture notes included in your review. MOST of the questions on the test are in the lecture notes. Professor Sutter is a great guy. I took his 2301 and 2302 class and HIGHLY recommend him.

Took his 3 week mini term class. One of the best, nicest, and most resourceful teachers I've ever had. He answers emails. I made a B- because I didn't try very hard on my third test. There were 4 tests and 1 paper that I chose not to do. He drops the lowest grade which was my paper. Wish he could've been my GOVT 1301 teacher.

I took Prof Sutter for Gov 1 & 2 and loved the class and made A's in both classes. They are not easy, but they are not supposed to be. Just do the reviews (which are long) and be ready for the tests! Everything is online and he lets you drop the lowest grade. Great class!

The reviews are long, but you don't have to complete them to do well in the class, if you read the assigned chapters. EASY CLASS!! STRAIGHT FORWARD!! READ and PASS. No study guide completed typically will net you a B, as a few ?'s on exam will be current events. COMPLETE STUDY GUIDES and you should make an A!!

I'm taking 5wk classes online. He CALLED me to remind me logged into my eagle online account for attendance so HCC wouldn't drop me. I was surprised! Thank him for giving me the opportunity to try and succeed in his classes. All test Q's are from his notes and review sheets, you may have to READ but won't ail, I'm making A's.

Took his course online. He's so nice! 4 exams and 1 paper but he drops your lowest grade, so if you do well on your exams (or if you're happy w/your grades), you could just skip the essay. The reviews for tests are super long so don't wait 'til the last minute to complete them. But tests are so easy and obv. it's open notes/book. Take him! GL! =]

Took Prof.Sutter's 3 week online mini-term class and made an A,here's how (and its the ONLY way):read the chapters as specified in the syllabus &complete the study guide he provides.Completion takes time but will provide you with 90% of the answers you need.Each of the 4 exams are 100Q's/3hrs and I took half the time to finish. Hard work = Easy A.

This professor is the most organized and professional I have come across to date. I learned a great deal, and the tests were very fair, well written and based on the study material given. Great communicator, and excellent professor.

You want a good grade in his class? You got to put time in to working hard. He has 4 tests and 1 research paper, making review takes up a lot of time and the research paper is 4 page long and he asks for 12-14 articles. I busted my butt for his class and made a B for GOVT 2301 and GOVT 2302, I did not read the chapters though, used reviews.

If you keep yourself update, you'll be ine. GOOD. take him

TAKE HIM. his exams are hard but doable. you have to type whole chapters in word doc. and thats your work sheet for exams. typing part is harder than material :))

Professor Sutter is a brilliant man who is incredibly knowledgeable regarding political events both here and abroad. Great teachers do not hand out easy marks, great teachers make you earn them. Professor Sutter is very clear the regarding the amount of reading and research involved right from the get go. I highly recommend him!!!

I took this class as my first dual credit for Highschool. It is SUPER HARD if you're aiming for an A. Most of my class made a B, a few made an A and this is coming from a Kerr student. Reviews are not required but a MUST. This was a 5 week online course during the summer. READ ALOT. CTRL F ON THOSE REVIEWS. I made an 89.7...I cried tears of joy.

This is the most wonderful professor I have ever taken. I took the Govt. 2306 online in a mini semester, and I was able to get a very good grade even though I was working 12hours a day and taking two additional classes. Of course he gives somewhat a lot of information, but he can give you time to do your work. Indeed he is a great helper.

Have taken Mr Sutter for two courses. Easy. You have 4 tests and a paper then he drops your lowest score. I never did the research paper. When things are delayed he always gives extra time. If you read the material, you will pass easily. This semester, He was working with a new system, and not getting his email messages.HCC's fault not his.

Mr.Sutter is an excellent teacher. Govt is my weakest subject or atleast it was before i took this class. I failed this class with an F and then retook john's class and passed with a B+! I totally reccommend him for anyone!

Test are long and hard. He gives you a lot of information about government, so you learn a lot. I took it in three weeks and he covered the whole textbook.

i took govt2306 online with him. 4 tests with 2 attempts and drops the least score. first test 50 qns, second test 50 qns and third test 100 qns. 3 hour duration to complete each test with 2 attempts also. one essay of 1000 words which is really easy as most of it is to write about yourself and what you think about government. It is an easy A class

Took him for government 2305 and 2306 online. Easiest class Ive ever taken. Like other people said, four tests, one essay, and he drops your lowest test grade. Most test answers are online. Essay is opinion-based. Have an opinion (he picks hot-topics, so you probably already do), know how to articulate it, and youll be fine. Easy A.

took this class online and loved it! no homework or quizzes, just 3 exams , a final, and 2 papers. bought the textbook, but hardly used it since Professor also provided notes to help with the exams.

His teachings are no so factual but he has great study guides for exams. You basically don't need to show up for classes , because as long as you have good grades on exams , you'll be fine. Make sure you do your exams especially if you have an online or hybrid class because those are the only grades you'll have. Don't use cell phones in class.

Literally the easiest government class ever. 4 tests, (1 being the final), and one 1000 word essay that's 25% of the grade. Also a small 500 word introductory essay. EXTREMELY easy class, take him if you don't want stress about your government class.

His class is really esay! Just complete all assignments, his class consist of just 4 major unit tests, and 1 mandatory writing essay. He provides lecture power points and reviews. He's very chill and laid back! Great for an online class.

Lectures are long, no need to take notes. Mostly consist of exams which you can take I believe 3 times and hell take the highest grade and one essay. Hes funny, nice, and laid back. Dont get the book, you wont need it. Definitely recommend.

I took him online in the summer, and, as everyone said, there are 4 tests, one of which he drops, and an essay. There are 3 attempts for each exam, and he provides very thorough lecture notes. The essay topic is also very easy, and he's an easy grader. Overall, great experience as there was not much work, and he was readily available to help.

Took him online. 3 Unit tests and 1 final paper. Tests were 100 questions each. Final paper was meh depending on what topic he assigns and it's a minimum 1200 words but he's a pretty easy grader as long as you answer the questions.

I took him for Gov. 2305 and 2306, the classes were organized. The grading criteria was clear and he's a cool man.

I love this professor absolutely hilarious! Only took about 5 test for this class your job is to read assigned chapters and follow along note taking lectures of downloadable study guides. Definitely a joy to be in his class. Great man with a lovely attitude that cares about your success. Very informative class!
