I had to withdraw. I was studying long and hard and still failing all the tests, especially the lab practicals which are timed and fill in the blank instead of multiple choice. I might have to change my career choice just because of this stupid class. I recommend a different teacher and to take the class with only one or two other classes.
He is a nice guy but he is so HARD. I studied for long hours and still did awful. I have to retake this class. His exams are quite difficult and he doesnt give extra credit, he doesnt hand out reviews..even though our night class was mostly f/t working adults, he cuts no breaks...nice guy but not easy
It's a very hard class. This teacher was new at the campus, but extremely strict, serious and sometimes impolite. You need to study long hours and use the exact words used in the book when doing one of his tests, otherwise he would take the whole point off the test, he doesn't give 1/2 points for half of the answer;he even takes points off if you mis
simply put...he's awful! i asked many times for help and he was very rude to me. i studied long long hours and still couldn't pass one of his tests. i understand that it was his first semester at the school, but i thought the point of being a teacher was to HELP, not discourage students. i almost left the school because of him. HORRIBLE teacher!
This was a very hard class. Dr. Tarpey is very knowledgeable, gives no study guides, expects you to be responsible for mastering the subject, and is responsive to email. You have to study A LOT to do well. I recommend study groups. I studied very hard and never missed a class and got a good grade. I liked the class a lot but it was not easy.
He is the rudest, teacher I have ever had....He is not helpful......He rather trick you with his test questions then help you try and pass. He is still wet behind the ears. And needs to get experience on his social skills in a teacher student setting.
Never gives his students even the slightest hint on what will be on each test. Additionally, he breezes through material at twice the speed of any other anatomy class at CCSF while giving vague, rushed lectures. Lab sessions have no structure whatsoever; he just leaves some models and pictures out for the students to study by themselves for 3 hours
After reading everyone else's comments here I was pretty scared to have him as my professor. But I have to say I disagree with many of the comments here. I don't think he's rude at all -if anything its a sense of humor that some people probably just don't get (I think he's actually funny). YES, the class is very hard. You actually have to study- ca
Wow, an instructor that doesn't hold our hands throughout the learning process! Who would've thought? I'm currently enrolled in ANAT25 and it IS difficult, but I feel that what I get out of it is proportional to what I put into it. Mr. Tarpey provides the foundation and oversees the work, but the students are the ones who must build the house.
STAY AWAY- TERRIBLE! The worst. Half my class dropped mid-semester because he was so incompetent. There was a petition to get him fired. He didn't prep for lecture, rambly and incomprehensible. A couple of times he appeared to be **** during lecture. Lab was a teach yourself experience. Used his wife's slides and material never matched the book.
Uninspired teacher whose idea of a lecture is to drone on in a monotone voice for two hours. His "labs" consists of throwing out plastic models and having you study them. Unless you're very ambitious and plan to read your own material, don't expect to enjoy his class.
Very hard class and very tough teacher,,,the worst class and professor in my two years at City College, unless you are a science wiz, I don't recomend this class or this teacher,,,bad, bad teacher,,,
I'm really suprised Dr Tarpey has such a low score. For me, he was really helpfull and supportive the entire semester. He uses funny story to make the topic relevant and cheesey puns to help us remember terms. He was always available durring his office hours and really cared about his students. I wish he taught another class, i would take him again
Great teacher! Very Very helpful and knows his stuff. He's not hard n dry, the material is!! Put the time and effort into studying and you'll get an A for sure (80%=A). Don't let these posts fool you. Work hard, don't fall behind, ask questions =A. Tests and Practicals were med in difficulty.
His class is tough, but that is because human anatomy is tough. I found this teacher most helpful during his office hours or talking to him during lab, because lecture is dry (as any anat lecture would be). He has a good sense of humor and is very smart. I would take his class again if i needed to.
Funny but hard.
Test were EXTREMELY difficult! asking him questions is hard, usually replies with "google it" A LOT of detail that is really not needed, and his lectures are pretty annoying but you can't miss any or you'll be sure to fail a test.
REALLY HARD! No idea why ANYONE would give him a good rating. If you ask him questions he replies GOOGLE IT? His cheesy puns are annoying and not helpful DO NOT take his class there are 2 other teachers who are MUCH better at teaching this subj. his test and labs are REALLY Hard
almost impossible to pass this class. Inspite of long hours of studying I could not pass his test. Lectured terminology was way above any skills I have obtained in science in my past as well as vague. Labs did not correspond to his lectures which resulted in 99% of the class received an F on one test after another. RUN!!!
This was the hardest class of all my college life! He takes the time to explain things and tries to provide exmaples. His test are super hard based on the slides but read the book too for more detail; you end up studying more than what is on the test.not as mean as he looks. info dense class if you want to pass stay for the whole lab
For those willing to stick it out, he loosens up at the end of the semester. Almost everyone who completed the course received an A or a B. (The official cutoff for an A was 80% but I was awarded one with 76%.) Spend the full 3 hours in the lab, ask lots of questions, get clarity on the lab practicals and you'll do fine. A good study group helps 2.
I liked him. Yes, he's super hard. But at the same time, YOU WILL LEARN. I feel really prepared for future science classes. Heck, I should take the MCAT's after this. While his class is hard, he is more lenient with grading than he lets on: drops the lowest test, and he's really helpful if you have questions during lab and during office hours.
I got an A because I read the whole book. He says you don't need to read it but you do. He rushes through lectures and crams in tons of material that are based on the book. You are likely to find yourself lost unless you take initiative to read. His lecture exams are not easy.
Is there a way to survive this guy? I've been studying and reviewing for his completely unfair exams. He does not adequately teach, prepare, or grade you. Provides no guidelines, and too late to withdraw for anyone in class now. The main reason no one drops is because the books pricey. Fire this guy, for the sake of hundreds of students please.
very knowledgeable and patient
I am currently enrolled in his Ant 25. For sure the class is hard like any other anatomy class. It is the nature of the class. The human body is complicated by itself. This class need your full devotion and full understanding in order to sucdeed. I feel that he is very knowledgable, and always very willing to help.
A great teacher. by no means is this course easy, but if you stick with it you can most definitely pass. The class has a straight forward structure. It is very organized and you will not be confused by dates or pop quizzes.
Tough subject material & Tarpey isn't much help in lab, he expects you to figure it out with the book. First 2 tests are EXTREMELY hard, next 2 are easy, he drops the lowest grade. Expect to spend lots of time studying on your own. 80%=A, he answers questions and returns email promtly. Half our class dropped because it was difficult.
Anatomy 25 is a difficult course, no matter who teaches it. It covers the systems of the entire human body. You will absolutely have to study for this course. Dr. Tarpey is extremely knowledgeable and always willing to help.
Prof Tarpey is one of the best, and one of the hardest, professors I've had (both at CCSF and a 4 year college). He made what can be a dry subject really interesting. Very intelligent prof. (with some fun cheesy jokes, too) Attend ALL lectures. Take good notes and go to lab. But expect to study a LOT. It's hard, but you will learn.
Dr. Tarpey will make you work hard, but you will learn. He moves fast so don't miss his lectures. The lab time is valuable study time. Don't skip it. He drops the worst lecture exam, and worst lab practical. I already had my A solidified in the course before the final exam. I studied about 3 hours a day for this course.
Looking at the mixed reviews, I was scared to have Tarpey as my prof. But in the end, I'm glad I took him. Yes, this class is hard and you will have to work for an A. But it shouldn't be too hard because 80%=A. Take him if you are willing to study and devote a lot of your time.
Exams were pretty hard, but as long as you study, you will be fine. Attendance not mandatory, however I do recommend going to lectures for they can help during exam time. 80% means an A for this class. Has a sense of humor. A lot of lab days. Interesting class, but tough course. Be prepared.
Difficult exams w/ fill in the blanks, short answers, and multiple choice. That's why he grades 80% for an A and drops the lowest score, otherwise no one would get an A. It's a class you study on your own and must read the textbook. He's knowledgeable but not good at "teaching" and is someonewhat egotistic. Did not enjoy his class.
AVOID this professor at all cost. Lectures were fast and unclear. Exams were extremely hard, I read the book and studied hard and still bombed the exams. Towards the end, more than half the class dropped because it was too hard, so that is a little warning.
This class is hard, but it's the subject that's hard, not the professor. He tests directly from his lectures. Print the slides, take notes and and ask questions if you need to, he is very helpful, but you need to work hard, there is a ton of material to get through. Memorize everything for the first exam. Lab is important! pay attention in there.
Strongly discouraged. Boring lectures, not helpful, in fact refuses to answer questions. Goes to his office for the entire lab, everyone leaves. You can only see your exams in his office during office hours. Students in his class miss out and end up feeling like anatomy is all dry memorization. This class was a negative experience for me.
John is a very intelligent man who knows his stuff so well, that I think he forgets what its like not to know. I found him to be a very nice man and helpful, but wish there would have been a little more structure to his class and I might have been able to keep doing it along with microbiology.
Professor goes into great depth, beyond material in the book. The 4 exams over the semester are extremely difficult. There is no other way to improve your grade. The labs are self-directed, teacher goes to his office.
One of the hardest professor I have ever had. His exams are very hard and his power points aren't very helpful.
If you're going to take this professor, you might as well take it online. You're pretty much on your own in this class. He knows his stuff and expects you to know yours. You never know what's going to be on the exams. He will NOT review before a test. It was a HORRIBLE experience for me. Not a good professor.
DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER! He gives no guidance in lab unless you go up and ask him about a particular thing, and even then you have no idea if it will be on the test. He says to depend on his lectures only, but a lot of the information I remembered was from the text book.
yes, anatomy is a hard subject. but teaching is a skill, and this guy does not have it. standing up there speed-talking through his powerpoints is not teaching. he also makes horrible, offensive jokes. i've already got a college degree, so i've had lots of good, mediocre, and bad teachers. Dr. Tarpey is bad.
Dr. Tarpey taught the anatomy section of Bio 1A during Summer '14 at UC Berkeley and was by far the worst professor I have encountered. Genuinely seems like a nice guy, but has bafflingly disorganized, convoluted lectures. During some lectures, he honestly looked confused by his own slides. I pray he doesn't teach Bio 1A again...
Definitely one of the worst professors I've ever had at UC Berkeley. Tarpey speeds through the lectures and touches upon topics very superficially, and even lets us out of class early some days. I'm relying purely on the textbook to learn almost ALL the material. :/ Don't even know why I go to lecture anymore...
Tarpey is a great professor for students who are very self motivated. He has high expectations, doesn't coddle his students, and is reasonable in his grading. Genuinely nice and funny guy. He made me love anatomy. He is great for people who REALLY want to learn, not just to go through the motions to get into nursing school.
His lecture is clear and his class is designed to help the students to prepare for the class. The content is not easy as there are many terms and materials to memorize. However, the professor is available for questions and further support if needed. He is very organized and fair to all students.
Honestly, just don't take Dr. Tarpey at all, ever. I generally love anatomy and am good at it but this was by far the hardest class I have ever taken. He gives absolutely no guidance, lectures are boring, and he leaves during lab. In order to pass his class you need to make studying your full time job and even then you still may not pass.
Tarpey is absolutely unable to teach the material clearly and articulately. I had the misfortune of enrolling in this course, and had to drop it, since he teaches so poorly. He knows the material, but can't convey it to save his life. Do not take classes with him at all. I'm pretty sure he's on the Spectrum, and teaching is not appropriate for him
Tarpey seemed really dry the first couple days of class, but he's actually hilarious and a great teacher. If you skip class or slack on reading, you won't pass. Anatomy is a really hard subject, and you need to be a self-starter. He isn't going to hold your hand through this class!
I throughly enjoyed Tarpey's class. Anatomy is a tough subject so definitely be prepared to study hard. Record his lectures and read the chapter before class.
He just reads aloud what's on the slides that he gives you to follow and study. When you try to ask a question it's like he's testing you to figure it out, but your asking him because you don't know! Duh! Really didn't feel comfortable asking questions or anything. This class is your full time job! study study study!
Professor Tarpey set the standards of his class during the first day of lecture. He knows that the course material is going to be very difficult, and does try to help you out. He wants you to actually learn the material, not just pass the class to get an easy A. He challenges you to try to think outside the box. Get ready to study a lot!
He does not teach the material to you. You must learn from his lectures and power points and then memorize all information on your own. I would take another teacher. He does not care much about how students do in his class.
I thoroughly enjoyed Dr. Tarpey's class. He is intimidating at first, but he truly cares about his students and their progress. Dr. Tarpey has a great dry sense of humor which he uses to help you with memorizing anatomy, he is available outside of class (plus responds to emails!) and is clear with the grading expectations of the class. Recommend!
Nice guy, bad teacher. There are only 4 exams for the class. No way to earn points outside of an exam. He speeds through lectures, does not review the material before exams. No homework, he just throws material at you with no guidance whatsoever. In my opinion, he is lazy and doesnt want to grade papers.
His lab tests are basically models of many different things and each question he gives has three branches ( up to 50 questions Lab only) you have to write everything, no multiple choices! as he says "you are in college, nothing is easy and i teach like that whether you like it or not". his lecture exams are up to 100 questions, few multiple choices
I wish he would of came with a warning, he's a really nice guy but his teaching isn't great. I'm sure everyone is aware that Anatomy isn't the easiest class but he just makes it worse. I love science, I'm really good at learning but I also recognize that it's with the help of the teacher. Unfortunately Dr. Tarpey makes it even more worse.
His lecture slides are mostly unhelpful. He does little to nothing to help you in learning tips and tricks to memorizing Anatomy. As far as his lectures, you'd be better off staying at home and teaching yourself. He's incapable of conveying what he's teaching, as evidence by his student pass rate. During lab he often leaves, or is on his phone.
4 test total. no extra credit, no homework. Test on everything in the book. No guide on which direction to study on. Literally reads off his slides and speeds through it with no details. Confusing test, multiple choice, short answer. lab test is blank paper. If you enjoy getting an F or having the hardest class with no guidance, this is it!
As everyone can see, he is the only prof available when registering for Anatomy. HE IS TOUGH! class started with 100+ students and ended with 30 students, He is not the right teacher for Anatomy at all. Tests and lab tests! hardest things I have ever seen. Lectures on slides is not clear at all. Take him and you will fail his class, guaranteed!n
Dr. Tarpey is a nice and funny guy but his teaching style might not work for everyone. No homeworks. You have 4 exams (multiple choice, short answers). He is a tough teacher but it is not impossible to get an A if you attend his class and listen, read the book and understand and attend lab. He is very approachable so always ask questions.
Lectures and slides were well organized and there is a lab manual /study guide. There are specific hints he gives in the lab manual and lecture for what to expect on the test. Go to class and stay in lab for the full time to familiarize yourself with the models. It's a hard class mainly because of all the materials covered so study hard for that A.
Wish I had read reviews here before wasting a semester in Tarpey's class. Little opportunity to build grade outside of tests, lecture slides and lab guide are not entirely helpful. Requires lots of study time, as expected with an anatomy class, but Tarpey's approach to teaching warrants a second look given that most of his students were floundering
I took his course last semester and learned a lot! He is very knowledgeable and makes it clear what's on the exam. But if you thought you were going to be carried through the course, you are mistaken. Take notes from his lecture and you must study them at home. As long as you study what he tells you to know, you will pass. Many got A's in my class.
Awesome Teacher! This class requires a lot of studying. You will carry the Anat25 lab notebook almost religiously. My grandfather passed away while I was taking this class and I was struggling to balance 19 units while taking over the night shifts at the hospital. Tarpey was the silver lining in my hardships. Take his class and see why.
Imagine being in the top 25th percentile of a class and still getting a grade of C. That's what it is to be in his class. Tarpey is curt and hard to approach.
Dr. Tarpey is a great. A tough grader and his exams are hard, but his lectures are amazing and thorough not to mention his funny dry sense of humor. I personally think that If all the students respect the lectures and lab attendance and show up all the time (since he does not take an attendance )I am sure he will not be so tough on the exams.
Intense, challenging, but a good class. I would not recommend skipping. Record the lectures and go over it again. I found that I was missing chunks in my note taking (The lectures are given at a fast rate). Your grades are based on four, very low risk, quizzes, four lecture exams and four lab practicals. Attend all open labs if you can.
Dr. Tarpey is a great professor but his class was the most challenging class I've ever taken in my life. I studied whenever(day off/weekend). ResultI gained great knowledge in basic anatomy+/increased my self-esteem. I'm non-native English speaker and it'll be challenging for ESL students(my classmates struggled). Advicestudy (book, manual, slides)
Dr. Tarpey is great teacher and straight to the point. I highly recommend taking Dr. Tarpey, he is challenging but if you work hard and go to class you, will do well. He doesn't hand hold and the his reasoning makes total sense, he said once said to me "when you get a patient, will your patient have labels for bones?" Nope! You learn in this class!
Dr Tarpey is an amazing professor that truly cares about the future of his students. Tough it out and dont drop it! I would recommond recording this lectures to go over it again with his slides. ASK PLENTY of QUESTIONS. He sees that you care, don't be afraid, even during exams! Out of class studying is KEY& study groups to talk/write everything out
Professor Tarpey is well-informed about Anatomy, but it did feel a bit rushed even on a Semester system. There were lots of material to cover, and lab was useful for hands-on use. Office hours and participation is CRUCIAL. About 75% of the entire class received a B or lower. In other words, you must EARN an A if that is what you need.
Worse teacher. If you study hard you get grade C , otherwise F. He teaches all book. He purposely make exam hardest .
Absolutely what anatomy should be. This class is difficult, taught by a true anatomist. I recommend recording lectures, attending all labs for the whole duration, and ask questions! Lots of harsh critiques here but it is by all means possible to achieve an A. If you want to learn anatomy take this course, expect to work for an A, which btw is 80%.
Dr. Tarpey teaches fast-paced and loves cracking witty anatomy jokes to make students laugh. To future students: get ready to read the textbk , lab manual, and atlas because all lecture exams are a combination of all three. This class requires self-discipline b/c you have to teach yourself a lot, but it prepares you for future challenging classes.
Dr. Tarpey's anatomy class isas difficult as any UC science course I have taken. He knows his anatomy and holds high expectations , though his grading system is much more lenient than UCs. If he sees that more students care, he does make exams slightly easier. He is not as intimidating as he seems, so ask questions and go to open labs before exams.
Doctor Tarpey is an excellent Anatomy Professor who wants his students to learn because at the end of the day, the knowledge you acquire is more important than the grade you earn. If you study you will succeed. Its an abundant amount of material and the course is challenging. It was a great class !
If you're expecting an easy class, guess again. Dr. Tarpey is a high calibre, true anatomist, knows his stuff and wants you to learn. He is no joke--he is extremely intelligent and has a dry wit. Get the book, record lectures, attend class and ask a ton of questions. Your reward will be knowledge. Expect to work your gluteus maximus off!
Hilarious & highly intelligent man. Must read book, don't skip class, don't skip lab and ask questions, record lectures, slides on Canvas, ton of info in a short time, try Ninja Nerd on YouTube for review, fair grading curve--80 is an A. Cells, skeletal, integumentary, muscles, nerves, brain, vascular, digestive, reproductive, some physiology.
I am so grateful that I didn't get a spot in the other Anatomy section because I would have missed Dr. Tarpey's knowledge and witty comments. This is a class that demands of you to study, but it's absolutely up to you. Invest time and you'll get a good grade. I definitely recommend recording the lectures and taking advantage of the time in the Lab.
The lab manual is the list of terms you need to memorize, problem is he maybe covers about 15-25% of it in his lectures (I'm being generous). The rest is up to you, the textbook won't have all the terms, you will have to google. Labs aren't structured, he just takes out the models. No life/ no responsibilities is how you get an A
Not an easy A class but the knowledge you obtain from this class will help you, especially if you are pursuing a career in the health field. His class is difficult and he does test on the little details, making sure you pay attention. Ask questions because he will clarify them. Would not recommend if your course/work load is heavy. Great professor!
Hard class, professor makes it even harder. He throws a lot of information at you, so you don't know what he will test you on. He basically tells you to study everything, which is impossible. Exams are multiple choice and short answer. He's not approachable at all, and makes you feel dumb when you ask questions.
I recently retook anatomy with a different professor and CAN confirm that anatomy isnt hard when someone is teaching it right. Tarpey was by far the worst professor I have ever encountered in 3+ years and 80+ units, which says a lot.
Professor Tarpey's class is very lecture heavy. He gives out a "study guide" and that's about it. The study guide contains key terms but lecture tests have questions that are not at all related to it and for the labs only 75% of the terms are on it. The class is only graded on 3 lab and lecture tests, and 3 quizzes. Difficult class to say the least
Tarpey was nice and funny which makes this review hard to do.. but he is not a good teacher. When i enrolled in his class I read the many negative reviews and thought "well maybe I will be okay" and No, I was not okay. If Tarpey is the only available class, do yourself a favor and wait next semester for a better teacher. You will regret him.
I've taken anatomy before and I work in the health field with a good understanding of the human body going into this class. I wanted to take the class as a refresher before applying for a PhD program, along with a few other classes. This class was terrible! His class is a cooking recipe without measurements for ingredients.
He's merciless. You are graded on 3 exams & 3 practicals; and that's it. This is my first B at CCSF and I'm completely pissed off. Labs are useless. There is no manual. It's just a list of hundreds of anatomy terms and you figure it out on your own. All he does is just keep throwing information at you. I've had much better Anatomy profs.
During these tough times, and a drastic shift towards remote classes, this professor doesn't show any sign of flexibility or willingness to help students pass the class. I'm currently taking an anatomy class with this professor and his careless replies and lack of effort towards my messages is a great example of what a professor shouldn't do.
BEWARE. Absolutely would not recommend his class. He does not actually care if his students understand the material. During lab, he would pass out the models and leave us on our own to figure it out. He does not offer any help when we had questions. Did not learn anything in his class. Ended dropping his class and taking it elsewhere and got an A.
Your whole grade is based off of 3 tests that are extremely difficult. They typically have 90 questions and you have 100 mins to finish (taking via canvas online right now.) He asks details on pretty much anything within your text book. The professor is very dry and is not helpful whatsoever with learning the information.
Never thought a professor would be so bad that I had to rate him in the middle of taking the course. DON'T TAKE HIM. He doesn't explain anything in his lectures. You have to read the textbook and watch the powerpoints and learn the material on your own. He is not a good teacher and obviously doesn't care about the students passing the class.
I took Anatomy in Fall 2020 remote. Tarpey responded quickly to questions via email. Very test heavy course. I am in EMT 100 this summer and cruising through the human body and medical sections due to the intensity of this course. I still use my notes from his class. If you want to master beginning anatomy this is the class for you!
The professor basically used a PowerPoint presentation with pictures of every single bone and muscle, and was not clear on narrating anything. Half the time he was saying "and this is the.. the... uh... occipital bone.... okay, next...". How is that teaching? It's almost like he's quizzing himself. He also only grades off two or three exams.
I actually find the lectures very enjoyable, just make sure you go over the lectures a few more times and you will be fine in your exams, as most of the contents were from his lectures.
Terrible professor. Does not care to actually teach and does not care if anyone understands the material. Lectures are him just mumbling over slides and explaining really nothing. Whole class is graded on just a few exams. The labs are him just letting you look at fake bones and not much else. Avoid him at all costs
Terribly boring lectures and no insight on what to expect on tests, which are the heaviest percentage of our grades. Hundreds of terms to memorize. Labs are to look at fake bones, with no guidance on what we should be focusing on. Take this class at another community college or wait another semester if this guy is the only instructor available.
I'm an LVN and this class was harder than my nursing program. Packs a lot of info with no navigation of what you should actually study. There's a total of 3 quizzes(10%), and 3 lab/3 Lecture exams(90%). No HW/extra credit. You have to buy 3 books total and you only end up using 2 (one being his lab guide that he made). Just avoid taking if you can.
Tarpey is a horrible teacher, out of all of the professors I've had, he is the worst one by far. He teaches us as if we already know the material, rushing through everything. During the lab he displays dozens of models for us to look at with no guidance or direction and leaves the room. Me and my peers were teaching ourselves everything.
Tarpey is an amazing instructor. He was very clear with his slides. Know his lab manual inside and out for both lecture and lab. In lab ASK QUESTIONS. BE PROACTIVE. Any question I had he fully explained it to me one on one and made sure I got it. Be prepared to STUDY. You need to be studying weekly if not daily to pass. Anatomy is hard!
Worst teacher I've ever had in my life. He seems to enjoy giving difficult tests and going beyond what he says in class. Trust the testimonies here. Get another teacher!
you will leave this class with a strong foundation in anatomy and beyond
Tarpey is a great professor and will make sure you understand everything as long as you ask questions and show up to lab. His tests can be really difficult and require naming anatomical features from pics/models, so make sure you can identify every term in the lab manual!!!! Its a LOT to memorize but I learned so much in this class
Old school style of teaching. Sit in front, ask questions, go to open labs, don't miss lecture or labs and study the cadavers. I struggled but still made it out with a B by being an active participant. Be prepared to study a lot. Very thourough class, hard and only graded on 3 quizzes, 3 exams and 3 lab practicals.
By far the worst teacher I've encountered. He expects students to teach themselves, even on topics that he didn't cover in class for exams! He doesn't provide any study guides or resources for students in preparation for quizzes and exams. Grades are only based on test scores to which are very difficult. Wouldn't recommend him!!
Horrible teacher/ professor. Doesnt want to help students, you have to ask or phrase in a very specific way to get a clear answer. Doesn't provide any guidance on what will be on exams. Only okay thing is grading scale which is 80-100% for an A but this class is HARD. Also not very nice. Seems to enjoy making jokes more than anything
