U taught us what we needed to know. But you got a little confusing when it came to tests. NEwayz that class was fun.

His tests are pretty hard but if you truly study you will get A's on them. Over all he is a great teacher that makes class a lot of fun. Oh yeah, don't be up tight about his joking this is Valencia after all not Harvard.

Fill in the blank questions for all his tests. It sounds hard but is isn't. If you prefer reading the book, don't take this class. If you can sit in class and listen, you will do fine.

john made government fun, or at least his class was fun. no textbook needed all the notes are in his guides, just show up and listen. but u have to be able to take a joke especially if your from st. cloud or a woman:)and it doesnt hurt that hes hot.....

Great Professor! Helped me tremendously! Spontaneous and funny and cute! No textbook required. Must take good notes and attend class regularly. Open-minded and keeps his classroom lively and educational at the same time. Debates are fun. Good luck!

The class was fun. Not easy but not the kind of class you would stress over. He knows his material and goes into interesting discussions. His appearance is nice too... all the more reason to go to class :)

Bear with him girls! He bashes us sometimes (okay, a lot of the time) but if you look past that, he is overall a good professor. It doesn't hurt that he's hot...definitely recommended.

If you have to take Government, as everyone must, this is a MUST TAKE course!!!! the professor is AWESOME. Funny, interesting, and eye candy as well. As long as you show up and study for the exams its an easy A. Plus you save on the $90.00 book.

He is one of the easiest going teachers i have ever met, his class is easy to follow, he is willing to help you study and he does a great job of applying government to daily life. I myself am studying to be a teacher and he is the type of teacher I would like to be.

Best teacher that i have ever had. His tests are easy, there is no reason why you should fail. All you have to do is take notes from his lectures and do the study guide. He rarely assigns homewrok and when he does, it's to see a movie. His grade book is always to his students to check.

John Tobia is a very good looking teacher. His class is easy but you have to study for his exams. John is a real funny guy, he is never boring. He can make you feel really dumb if you ask something that he already explained so listen.

East A. Just make sure you take notes or get them from someone if you absent. He doesn't care about attendence or tardies. He is a bit full of himself and loves to tells personal stories, but it was such and easy class that I would recommend it to anyone.

If you study for the tests then you'll have no problem passing his class. The answers are sometimes in the question or above or something. Just make sure if he says something ISN'T on the test and it is mention it. Don't ask stupid questions or you will feel like an idiot. Overall he actually makes the class interesting with his stories and advice.

He is a total hottie, I totally would tell anyone to take his class. His lectures are really funny and interesting. I have him for a three hour class and we usually leave in about one hour and a half to two hours. Easy, fun, interesting class.

All you have to do is print the notes and fill in the definitons, the tests are basically copies of the notes with words missing. Great Teacher! This is one of the easiest classes I have taken. He understands you have a life outside of class, so he is very reasonable with his assignments and exams. Study your notes and you will get an A, no doubt!

Awesome professor! John is funny and makes political science about as interesting as it can be to someone who has very little interest in it. His tests are simple. The whole course requires about 3-4 hours of outside work total.Definitely my favorite class this semester!

John Tobia is a great teacher, as an older non-traditional student I felt he understood the me and the younger students and challenged us all with his tests. John put the message and content ahead of mandatory requirements. I hate Michael Moore's Docucrap but I enjoyed writing and analyzing Michael's docucrap. Made us think!

Gives you all the notes and reviews for exams. Does not make you come to class except for exams (3 fill-in the blank( and to turn in papers (3 of them). Classes don't get much easier than this one.

He's laid back, so as long as you go to class and do the work, there won't be a problem. He may come across cocky, but he's just sarcastic... I found it hard to concentrate at times. But only because he's very easy on the eyes. As in really hot.

Tobia made learning about U.S. government a lot more interesting than I thought was possible. I actually understood things. He is really easy too. The only things you have to turn in are three tests and two short papers. It's not hard at all to get an A.

Very easy A-if you study as instructed. DON'T buy the book-he tells you where to get ALL study/notes taking materials you need. Yes, he tells stories to help you remember the information. "You don't earn your grade, I give you your grade". Yeah, I was a little shocked too. He is a good professor with funny real life lectures that tie into the subject. Tests are 50 fill in the blank with no word bank. They can be difficult if you don't study. Take lots of notes and go to his office at least once a month just so he knows you care.

Don't be surprised if his verbal jibes put you off a little. It's just the way he works his class. He is one who can easily veer off-topic, but can bring it back and relate it to what's being diuscussed. If he taught me anything, it's the value of a night spent studying. Just study for the tests. One of the easiest classes you will ever take. I wouldn't say he is a great teacher but he does make the class easy. He talks a lot about absolutely nothing. My advice is take him in the summer A or B or else you wil be sitting there bored out of your mind all semester.

Took his online class. It was pretty easy. Lots of discussion posts/responses. The test and quizzes were mediocre difficulty. I didnt spend alot of time on the class and did the quizzes last week. Its an easy class. He is definitely not hot, he looks like an awkwardly built Fabio, and I agree his ego is HUGE! Take this class for an easy A/B.

John is an interesting Professor, very laid back, likes to tell stories other than focusing on the subject matter. It is a very easy class all you have to do is pay attention and take good notes...and study of course!

You know the entire semester schedule for the class on the first day (online). Very easy to pass, just keep up with the dead lines. A plus is that you can use any year of the textbook that is needed for the class.

State & Local Govt Online...Great professor. You know every assigmenton day one. There are several open book quizes as well as three open book exams. A few discussion postings. Very easy. Just keep track of the deadlines and you'll do well.

Johns awesome. He tells it like it is. So what if he doesn't tip-toe around everyone's feelings? If you don't ask stupid questions then you'll be fine. State & Local Gov't Online. Good, informative textbook. Quiz for each chapter which you do at your own pace. Must complete by end of semester. Three discussions (250 words) w/one 100-word response & 3 multiple choice exams. No extensions on those due dates! If you want your discussion grades, you need to request them. Stress-free class.

Easy class if you read the material. 3 250 word discussions, 12 open book quizzes, and 3 open book exams with 50 mulitiple choice questions (2 hour time limit). His requirements are clear, he is always available and gets back to you quickly but his deadlines are in stone - no excuses!

TAKE HIS CLASS ONLINE!!! You would be a fool not to take his online class. It is so easy, so clear, and so simple! The discussion are simple, you can take the quizzes as many times as you want until you get it right, and the exams are only 50 questions and you have 2 hours! Take it, you wont regret it!

Like everyone said EASY, limited work, repeat quizzes until 100%, tests are easy straight from book, discussions are easy (only 3) He gets back to emails quickly. I was finished with his class (except 3 exams) by the end of the first week of class. TAKE HIM FOR AN EASY A and a GPA booster! Have Fun!

Took him online. Easy A. All assignments are available from first day, except the 3 tests. I found the tests were not really easy but you get plenty of time to take them. I got an easy A. If you want your grades for discussions, you have to e-mail him for them.

I got an B. I took it online. the quizzes you can take over until you get the grade you want. Discussions easy. The tests are a little difficult and you use the book for everything.

I took his class online & it is probably the easiest college class ever. There are about 10 quizzes (take as many times), 3 exams, & 3 discussions (250 words & respond to 2 people with 150 words), NO PROJECTS. I took his flex start & I barely had to sign on to his WebCT. EASIEST "A"!!!

If you take his class this is all you need to know, DO NOT buy the book, not needed. 3 easy papers you can bs just make sure its long enough, stapled, and right on time to class or he will NEVER accept it. Easy tests, you do all of that it's an easy A. You will die laughing and learn a lot from him so take him, easy A. Plus ladies he is a hottie ;)

13 quizzes (take as many times as needed), 3 exams (most questions are the same as quiz) and you get 2 hours which is plenty of time, and 3 discussions of 250 words each with 2 responses of 100 words each. only complaint is he doesn't give grades for the discussions, so I have no idea what I got on those. Everything else you get grades rightaway.

An amazing professor, really gets into your head, and makes you think. Has jokes for miles, and keeps a fun, low-stress atmosphere! I wish I could have him for all my classes! I learned more in the first day, in this class than I did in all high school.

Go to class before you buy the book. He can't technically tell you not to buy it, but you're NOT going to use it. As a teacher he doesn't plan ahead, but it's an easy class to pass. I took this course online which was a very easy course to take! All the quizzes are set up with no time limit, and you can keep taking them until you achieve a passing grade. I personally didn't have to retake any of the quizzes because they were very easy but I liked the fact that I could if I needed to. You will need your textbook though for this

i took the 8 week class, and I'm not gonna lie, it was pretty easy, 15 chapter quizzes, 4 exams and a few discussion posts, not too bad although the book i could only get new in osceola and I'm downtown, book sold for 140 but is necessary. easy, informative and good class.

Prof. Tobia is great! Take his class if you want to have an easy semester! Seriously! 8-wk online course = 3 Discussions, 13 Quizzes (mult. Attempts), 4 Exams, you can do his entire class in a week! You must have the book though. Easiest A I’ve ever had for a required class! What are you waiting for, go register! You won't regret it!

The grades are dependent on 3 test and two assignments. Very easy test. Very easy writing assignments and you do not need to buy the book.

If you need a GPA boost take this class! I had a lot of fun in this course although we did have 3 test and a few homework assignments this course was easy. The lowest grade I had on a test was an 88%. The only thing is when he gives you homework assignments,follow his instructions and follow the page requirements. I ended with an A.

Mr. Tobia is an excellent professor and he keeps the class entertaining. Although, he can be a bit of a smart aleck when you ask a question. The only reason why a student could fail his class is if the student is lazy to study. His quizzes & essay assignments are very easy. Plus, I saved myself 140 dollars on a book since everything is online.

Best professor to take is an understatement. He's cool and has fun teaching. He isn't boring, always had us laughing with his lectures. There's a story for everything and how he teaches is very clear and easy to remember the material. He doesn't use the text book all you need is his website so he helps save some money. He's a must take.

This class was Easy but Not easy. If you actually study and print his notes and write down what he says, you will be fine. Literally, Do exactly how he says on the Assign papers, and just participate and be yourself hes very laid back and chill. 3 test 2 Papers and Final.

I loved taking Professor Tobias class! I took him for State and Local Govt and it was interesting! His tests are open book and he gives you plenty of time but they are very thorough you probably won't do well . He pulls questions from deep within the paragraphs so browsing won't work. He requires a 10 page paper so don't wait until the last min

Professor Tobia was available & helped guide me in the 10-page required paper. No lectures, assignments, or "class" participation, and only 3 exams required. Unfortunately, Pearson lab was not part of the class, but that kept textbook cost down. I would recommend for students who are skilled at learning on their own.

I took the online flex term class, 3 exams straight from the book and a 10 pages essay, the essay is easy since you have a lot of aspects to compare and the exams of course are going to be from the book

Had for US gov. He was the funniest professor I've ever had. He'd lecture for a bit and then talk about other things that would apply to the lesson, but they were always crazy stories. A lot of my grade really just came from studying, and he'll tell you what to study. Test is easy A -IF YOU STUDY-. If you ask him questions he'll help honestly.

Professor Tobia was very funny and one of the most easy going instructor I've ever had. He tends to go into tangent conversations and topic, but his lectures are very clear and to-the point. He made learning about the general basis of government easy to learn and comprehend. Just attend class, listen, and take notes. The class is very easy.

Amazing professor, who even though does not say it, he cares for the students. Group presentation ( very interesting). Few written papers , no homework. Two exams and lots of good conversations about politics...

3 tests and a 10 page paper is all you have to do for this course. Tests are easy, you can just look things up in the book and you have 2 hours to answer 50 questions. I took him online and got an A. Never had an issue with anything, would take him again :)

John Tobia can be described as a man who has a rude and rough exterior, but a nice guy on the inside. He'll tell you that you're gonna fail a test, but that's just to scare you into studying. He's very clear on what you need to do pass his class. As long as you do exactly what is told, this class is an easy A.

Rants about random things most of the time, gives you the notes needed for the tests, 10 page research paper, and a presentation. If you keep up with the news, you have a chance for extra credit. He spent a whole class telling us we should get a masters and come back to teach at Valencia. If you want to learn about gov, take a different professor.

If you need an elective just take this class and get it out of the way. Online it was 3 easy tests with all of the answers online. Then a 10 page paper that is a little annoying but that's it. It's worth there being no other work besides that. Easy A and barely any work.

Easy class, professor is very flexible. One big writing paper (10pages) due at the end of the semester, no homework, and 3 easy quizzes at the end. Open book, self-paced course. All the quizzes are open from the beginning of the course so you can take them at your own pace.

There are only 2 discussions, one 10 page essay and 3 exams (multiple choice). Brownie points for being a "go at your own pace" course. Not too bad!

I really like this professor, although I don't typically like "go at your own pace" courses he was really easy paired with my 3 other classes in the spring. We had one 10-page paper based on research, and then an open book final at the end that took place in 3 parts where all the answers can be plainly found in the reading.
