ZZZZZ... Is what you will do if you did not have breakfast. I thought him to be a good teacher, explains everything well enough, just need a bust of energy. Many told me not to take the class with him becasue I would fall asleep. Well, I did not, but other students sure did.

Gives hints, one paper, easy tests

he talks a lot. You also should write his lecture summaries for better understanding. His class might be boring because of long lectures. Otherwise, great information from him.

This professor is a very effective teacher who gives interesting lectures and assignments and is not politically biased -- highly reccomended professor.

Extremely boring, esp if you hate this subject. lec the whole time. has easy quizes. try to go to class because (although hard to) but what he lec will be on tests.. (i think.. ZzZzZ)

All i can say is..ZzZZZZzzzzZZZZzZzz...i hated politics the first place, but not a bad teacher! He knows whats up! Don't get behind on reading and study hard, because if you screw up on all the quizzes, your screwed for the rest of the quarter! His grading is based on a point scale, the more points the better the grade. Hope this helps!

He is great! He tries to connect our day-to-day live with his lectures, which makes it way easier to understand. Very open to questions. Gets class involved. if you go to class everyday and take good notes, you dont even have to read the book! Make sure you do well on the quiz. After his class i have a better understanding about political issues.

Treantefelles is a totally tool for the text book. The course is not a total failure, he does generate some interest in the subject. But he falls short on expectations of what a prof should bring to a classroom, and relies entirely on following the letter of the text.

this class is really really boring....getting an A is really easy if you just study your notes...he knows his stuff really well and he's really nice.

Great Teacher. Completely unbiased, which comes as a relief because most seem to be overly one-sided professors, especially in the subject of politics. If you want to get into an argument with a teacher, this is not the guy because having a disagreement is nearly impossible. Take Notes. That's it!

pretty much the test comes from the notes. you have 3 tests and an essay, and i think he is adding something else for the upcoming classes. But everything is pretty easy, if you studied a little bit, you'll get an A

I recommend students to print out the slides off of webct, highlight topics that he goes over, and write notes beside them. I think attendance is important because most of the questions from his tests are from the things he lectures on and some of the detailed things aren't in the lecture slides.

If u like to read chapters a lot,quick learner,take this class. Otherwise,please don't take this class,becuz I studied so hard,every test include 6-8 chapters at least, I read those twice, powerpoint slide too, made office hours to ask him questions, but the question on the test is really mostly no clue. I am not lazy, but I failed this class, :(

The class + tests are easy However, its hard to stay awake. U need to go to class + listen. He's actually fairly interesting teacher. His monotone voice kills u. The book isn't necessary. Essay is super easy + he tells you exactly what + how to write it. My advice - bring coffee + a snack to keep u awake.

Class seemed easy, but the professor was extremely boring and speaks in a monotone voice. Attendance is not mandatory, but you will miss a lot of information for not attending. I ended up failing the class for not showing up to class because of his boring lectures. He also requires 2 essay assignments.

easy teacher. multiple choice final and midterm. outlines what to study for his tests. grades easy on the paper as long as you make sure u address all the questions.

Prof. T is a good professor. If you go to class, LISTEN to his examples and pay attention to them, you'll do well. The paper is easy as well. A lot of people didn't attend class and they paid for it. I got an A in his class and only studied hard the day before the exam. Go to class, pay attention, and that's your way to get an A.

In order to get a good grade in his class you must show up to lecture. Most of his lecture is power point but a lot of the test is directly from lecture. I didn't buy the book, or even look at the book for that matter, and still received a B in the class.

It's an easy class if you show up and pay attention. Seriously, just take notes on what he says next to the printed powerpoint slides, study the night before the tests, and you'll ace it.

His tests are tricky, I was studying the studyguide he outlines for the first two tests but it is useless. All his tests are off his powerpoints. You will need to memorize his ppts and write notes besides the ppt. I pulled an all nighters studying for his tests and managed a C in this class. You don't need the books, just memorized the power ppts.

I don't know why everyone is saying not to take his class, it's VERY easy! Yeah, hes boring and monotone and tries to be funny. But attendance is not required! just go once every two weeks or something. Tests are straight foward, multiple choice based on slides. Going to class makes tests that much easier. Ibarely study but went to class, take him!

No, he is not a very charismatic teacher, but the class is easy and lectures are easy to follow. 3 multiple choice tests, one paper about your political ideology. I didn't buy the books, you really don't need them except for maybe the 4-5 CA text questions on the tests which isn't covered in lecture. Just study the ppts and you'll do well.

Don't stress over this class. This class was so self explanatory that it bored me to sleep. His tests were easy if you studied the power points and paid attention in class. Don't worry if you don't read all the chapters, the ppts are what you need to know. Don't worry if you are absent, ppts are on webct.

While not the most charismatic teacher, he definitely does his job well (it is really difficult to teach 150 people at one time). Most of the information he puts on his slides, so you don't have to take many notes. I strongly recommend going to class because he tells you EXACTLY what to study. 2 60 question multiple choice tests, 1 3-5 page paper.

If you want to pass the class, don't solely rely on memorizing his Powerpoint slides. Go to class. A majority of the material on the tests is covered in the lectures, which are LARGELY based off of the textbook(s)!Overall, he makes the subject matter seem rather interesting. And don't take it lightly when he says to keep your phones on silent.

Fairly straight forward and mind boggling lecture material. 3 exams and 1 paper. Wished there was more discussion and activities but great class overall.

Fairly easy teacher. Uses powerpoints for all his tests. You do not need the book so do not waste your money. Took 3 tests did fair on the first two, pulled off a B on the final by studying powerpoints. Paper as an easy A, just follow the guidelines.

Make sure to read the text and study the powerpoints as well. There are 2 midterms that are deeply questions on the text and lecture discussion. Study hard cause it's not such an easy class but it's passible :)

Basically, go to class and you'll get an A. He gives you power points, but elaborates on them in class. He gives lots of examples when he's explaining a concept. i dreaded this class, and i have an A going into the final just from taking notes. Compared to the other professors, he's the best!

To pass this class just go to his lectures, pay attention, and take notes. His lectures are really detailed and clear. Study your notes and power points and you should be able to pass. Three easy tests and one easy paper.

The test are not cumulative and you have a research paper (3pages) that is really easy, got an A on it and didn't even try.

Very easy class, all you really need to do is pay attention to his lectures and do the reading. His lectures are all in power point and the test material is stated in the syllabus, over all very easy class.

The class is all lecture based. The book you use is about $110 however I did not purchase it & you really don't need it. The lectures are all powerpoint based & he does post them all so if you miss lectures they are all there. Still, try not to miss lectures tho because he goes into depth sometimes and uses great examples. Overall, GREAT & FUN prof

Professor is pretty nice and his tests is based off the lectures and book that is required for his course. And an extra credit assignment is given out as well. Worth about 20 points.

He's a really nice person and you can ask for help! Don't be shy. He uploads lectures and there are readings. There are 3 tests (60 questions each), 1 required paper (House of Representative and Congressional District) pretty easy, and 1 extra credit paper. No additional assignments, just study hard. Also no zoom meetings.

His lectures are something you should listen for, record them even better because those lectures are incorporated in the three tests he gives. he doesn't give out assignments but taking notes is highly recommended. he provides his slides for the readings and overall its a pretty chill class.
