Tests are a little hard, but not too bad. Has pyramid questions, so if you get the 1st one worng, you are toast. Pretty nice guy, very happy all the time.
Hard and exacting, but really cares about his students. Teaching methods involve "real life" situations. Could have used this course 20 years ago!
Very Nice guy. Helpful. Highly recommended by other students. Loves his job and is willing to help if you ask. Tests are okay, usually has one or two bombs that will get you.
The best teacher I've ever had, by far. He teaches you a lot of real-world things. He's funny and he cares about his students and try to cater to them as much as possible. He gives a lot of preperation for his tests. He's and over-all excellent teacher.
he is really smart and loves to apply concepts to real life events. he is more than willing to help students. watch out for tests...he always has a question on there worth a letter grade. that question tells whether or not you studied. overall, great teacher and you will learn alot!
While the the information and course is not easy, Dr. T has a gift for presenting the information in a clear and understandable way. He is also funny and never boring!
Dr. T is fantastic....I wouldn't take anyone else at MSC for math.
Great teacher, explains it well and helps you understand it. Gives you a lot of extra information about life also...get him if you can.
He was real easy for me. Me and friend always got bored during class because we thought the information was too easy. He is a funny guy though and can be entertaining.
GREAT TEACHER!! I HATE math but he made it very intersting. Could have made a better grade in his class but the final was a bit hard. Explains things very well and makes the class interesting by showing how it works in the "real world". Wish I had him in highschool, may have learned moer than I did!
Awesome Teacher!!!!!!!!!
Groovy, awesome prof
Great teacher I would I could have him for every math class!

The best teacher so far for my life in math, makes you understand it, if you fail its your fault, even teaches you how to turn on a calculator
Hard subject but he made it bearable. Great attitude, great teacher
He is very good at what he does, and will take time out of class if it is needed to help you understand the material. Very good teacher but you have to go to class to do well on his test.
Really into the subject! Takes you step by step on everything you do and will help you if you go ask for it. I enjoyed his class. Test weren't that hard you just need to study.
Hard class but he really knows his stuff. I would recommend him over any statistic teacher. I took the class once from other professor and failed but I passed when I took Dr Trimboli with no problem. He explains step by step even down to the calculator. And dont waste money on book because he does not use it but get the calculator!
I think he's cute.. got that James Taylor look.. and can really explain the statistics.
WOW! Dr. Trimboli is the best math professor one could ever hope to get. Passionate about the subject matter and incredibly hot to look at. I used to go to the school's gym just to watch him work out...lol
no book used for statistics. the only way to study was through notes. I thought this approach was harder without using a book.
He's sexy balding. He's a really good teacher, but repetitive at times to the point of boredom, plus it didnt help having computers to distract us. DONT BUY THE BOOK, can't return it and we never used it. Class requires a ti 83 or 84. great guy if you need a stats class.
He's very enthusiastic about his job.
he is one of my heros i would love to take all of his classes. definately my favorite teacher
Easy class. Great Teacher. Take him over anyone else.
VERY good teacher
Dr Trimboli is AWESOME. I've taken all my math classes with him. He helps you if you need it. He make the subject interesting. I would so take him again without thinking it twice.
Great Class. Dr. Timboli taught this class very well. I am not a mathematical inclined person but he taught in a way that I understood it.
Don't buy the book. He is a great professor. He doesn't give extra help so come to class everyday.
He is the best math teacher at MSC. Took him twice and would take him again if i could.
he is a great prof. i have taken this same class with many diff teachers and never got it. his real life perspective helps...and he is very helpful and exciting to watch teach!
He's tough... I understood everything, but I've always been good in math (fortunately). However, his tests are so short. The COMPREHENSIVE final was only 7 questions... if you miss one, you're a point away from failing. He's a great teacher, but if you're out for an A, take Hill.
Great teacher! Thoroughly explains the subject. Final is hard! You really have to know your stuff (which is why we're here, Right?)
Excellent professor! May come off as a little pompous @ times but excellent educator!
Excellent teacher - makes math fun
If you really want to understand this topic this is the professor for you. He is also funny.
GREAT Math Teacher. He is tough however is always willing to offer extra help. I suck at math and he breaks it down for you. Would take him again if I needed another math!!
Wonderful professor! Funny and interesting. Explains the concepts VERY well.
He's the best!
Statistics is his passion and he teaches it well. He explains the math behind the math. He keeps the material fresh and pertinant. Awesome professor!
Wow! Dr. Trimboli is extremely difficult and unclear prof. I have met so far. A student can never know what to expect from the guy; however, at the end a hard work and "fate" will pay off. "Thinking is highly encouraged," he says; however, he neglected to mention the psychic ability is a MUST!From reading all the comments, I can just say the CALC
is not the statistics...so maybe this is the key difference in between this comment and all previous comments. If you have to take this professor, bare to the end and do not give up...!!! However, take another professor would be a wiser choice.
Even for an honors class, his statistics class was not only incredibly easy, but also interesting. Any other teacher would have made it unbearable. His charisma is his greatest teaching tool. Honestly, his passion for statistics is so powerful it actually makes me eager to work the problems. He is a rare gem among professors.
Listen in class and do handouts. Explains everything in class. Goes every assigned problem as well as practice tests. He is funny and loves his subject matter. Never used textbook. If you like math you should be able to make an A.
The best teacher ever. Explains things in a way that you really understand, in a fun, entertaining way. Has a lot of useful ways to help you remember the info. I'd recommend him to anyone. He made me actually like Statistics. :)
Never opened the book. Lectures are clear. He does repeat himself a lot to make sure everyone understands. Uses humor to make things stick. The sexiest teacher at MSC. You won't think so at first, but you'll come to see it! ;) I wanted to take him for other math classes but could never get him. You won't regret taking his class.
he was the man! goes off on tangents about random things a lot and we NEVER once opened the text book. MUST have a TI83 calculator though.
He is, hands down the best teacher I've had in college. No book, very funny, good lectures. Study the handouts and you'll get a B.
Dr. Trimboli is an excellent professor. Very interesting. Pay very close attention to the first few lectures since that is the hardest test for the whole semester.
Dr Trimboli is a good teacher and I would take him again. But beware of the tests. He puts things on the tests that he doesn't cover in class. The best thing is to get help from someone who took him before and study there tests. Dont bother to buy the book. He NEVER uses it and it will be worthless to you. He makes the material very clear.
he's pretty cool and prepares you for the future. easy going and class is never boring
If you don't pass this class, no other instructor can help you because I never had a math instructor who teaches so clearly!
I have taken Dr.T for all my math classes. I was not good with math,However, after sitting under Dr. T my confidence in math has increased immensely. He is a blessing the the students at MSC.
He's a great teacher
This is a great professor. You don't use a book. He gives plenty of examples so your sure to understand. I would recommend him.
I have never been great in Math but the way Dr. Triboli presents the material is extremely helpful! This is the first math class that I have really enjoyed. He goes over all the material throughly and makes sure that it is easy to understand. If you attend class the tests are fairly easy. He is a great teacher that I would recommend to anyone.
Great teacher. He teaches statistics in away that it is easy to remember. Paying attention in class is the most important thing. No real memorization is required. He curves the grades at the end.
Arrives at the absolute second the class starts and leaves at the second the class period ends. Almost completely unapproachable, or at least gives the impression of it. He does not like to be corrected by his students; very defensive. If you have 'sensitive' ears, avoid his class... cusses like a sailor.
I have taken him for 2 Statistics classes now and I plan to have him for 2 more. He has an enjoyable personality, though might rub you the wrong way. His tests might seem harder in later classes, but even he admits they're hard stuff. He works to get you out of the class, though not undeservingly. He's a really good teacher.
This is a great Professor. I did't even like math before i took him, but after taking him for Math modeling and college Algebra, I have come to love math. He's just a great professor and very easy to understand. You just have to pay attention and if you dont understand anything, you can ask him to explain again.
An AWESOME professor. He teaches you what you need to know and clearly shows what he expects on the tests. The only crappy part is that there are 3 tests, and the first one (probability) and absurdly difficult. In fact, he even tells everyone that no one will make over a 90%. Study, ask questions, and you'll do fine. Book not needed.
I had Dr. Trimboli for Stats. I really enjoyed his class. It was a laid back environment & he teaches well. There is no need to purchse the book because he gives you multiple handouts to work. If you attend class & pay attention, stats is an easy class. He tells you EXACTLY what he wants on the tests. He is a great professor!
I had him for maymester. He is an awesome teacher. He teaches in a way that is very easy to comprehend the material. Test are not real hard, but not real easy either. Shows you how to do everything on the calculator and also by hand. Real good personality, not a strict teacher. After you turn in your test he hands you the answers. Great teacher.
I have taken for all 3 of my math classes. Math 1100,1101, and 1200. He is not easy but he does make the work understandable. The only negative about him is he does take off points for for little things like not putting a % sign or something like that. Please make complete sentences. He will count off.
He is a laid back prof. He tells you what is exactly on the tests and what is expected of you. He teaches in a way that makes math understandable for everyone. (and I do mean everyone) The book was not needed for this class. If you show up, pay attention, and do the handouts, then you are sure to pass the class.
GREAT TEACHER! Took him for math modeling..VERY laid back guy, doesnt care if you show up, as long as you are there for tests and pass them! I would def recommend!!
There are probably easier profs to take stats from but he is not bad. I am horrible at math but came out of the class with a B, however this was mostly due to going to MARC tutoring. He doesn't use the book much except for assigning homework - it's not graded or checked but it will help you prepare for the test.
awesome teacher tests were tough and made or broke you but he was solid teacher def would recomend him
He is very knowledgeable and NEVER uses a textbook so don't waste money buying one (unless you want to refer to it). I have seen him be extremely rude and confrontational toward a special needs student AND the students' mother. It was enough to make anybody puke. He is a good teacher but has no people skills.
Dr. Trimboli is with a doubt THE BEST. He goes over everything step by step and repeats/clarify anything for you! He goes over the material on the quizzes and final exam the day of. He grades fair and drops the lowest 4 quiz grades. I would have did better if I watched out for the little mistakes! He is HILARIOUS and I'd recommend him any day!
Also, I took this class once before so I didn't need the textbook. Just a heads up, you might not need the textbook at all. But it's definitely a good reference tool though.
I just took this guy for statistics 1200 and he was awful, over half the class dropped at the mid point. He lives for stats and most of us who takes this class are not math majors. His test are much harder than other professors. He has to curve like hell for students to pass. Take another professor for this class!
Does not take attendance, but going to class would be helpful. You do not need your textbook at all. From day 1, be prepared to pay attention in order to pass. His tests are hard - tutoring became very helpful before tests. He does statistics for fun, so you know this guy knows his stuff. Just pay attention in class and do all the practice sheets.
Brilliant math mind; full & thorough understanding of his field. Don't bother w/ the book. Grades are a marathon, not a sprint: there may be a quiz or two on which you feel he grades harshly, but, over the long haul, he is fair. Come to class & pay attention, & you can earn a good grade-& have at least a few moments where you laugh your butt off.
One of the best math teachers out there.
This Professor is amazing. He helped a person who really was in the dark when it came to math understand and earn an A
Dr Trimboli is amazing!! He's helped me so much with math modeling and elementary statistics. He's a bit quirky but the dude knows his stuff. If you're nice and honest with him he'll go above and beyond to help you. I'd Definitely take him again if i had to.
I took Dr. Trimboli, for elementary statistics this past spring. The course was online, and a short session (January- March). The class included homework assignments for every section, two quizzes, a midterm, and a final exam. Considering the class was short, I was extremely nervous.I personally would advise anyone to take this professor, he cares!
Dr. Trimboli absolutely cares about his students learning the course material and doing their best in the class. He will literally work with you to meet any goals you have set for yourself in the course and is very accessible even during the tests. If there is anything you need he will respond to you promptly! I definitely recommend taking him!
Took online statstics. Grading is straight forward and he really does want to help his students when he can. Gets back super fast when you email about questions. Nice guy.
Prof. Trimboli is the best. He was always quick to respond and help out clarifying material and I feel all grading was very clear and fair. I'm trying to take him for the rest of my required math courses. Very nice and helpful. 10/10
Dr. Trimboli was the easiest professor I have ever had. He gives you unlimited tries on homework, which is very helpful. This was my second attempt at stats, and it honestly was so much easier than expected. If you have to take this class, take it with Dr. Trimboli.
