i've had this class before, so he teaches below my level, but great guy. makes math as fun as possible

great teacher
good teacher. makes math understandable. laid back . just show up, do homework, and study to pass.
Great, very helpfull, easy to learn from teacher. Very recommended.
The best math teacher that I ever had. Usually people don`t like math problems, what was my case, but know he made me LOVE math. Now I am just adited to mathematics. Just take him!!!!! He is very nice and also hot professor (this is just for girls).
This teacher is AWESOME!! Got an A after failing the class under a different instructor. Makes math understandable and even fun-believe it! Added bonus, he's hot too :)
He was such an awesome teacher!!! Two thumbs up!
Excellent teacher!!! I wish all teachers were like him. Very clear and makes you want to learn!!! I would take him again in a second.
I had him in highschool and now in college. I plan to take him in as many classes as I can because he is so clear and makes class fun. I like his method of teaching so much that I'm going to take him in a 8am class - and I'm not even a morning person, haha. The best math teacher/professor ever.
He is a wonderful teacher, he makes class very interesting and makes you want to learn. I would take his math classes in a heart beat, you wont be dissappointed if you have him as your teacher....awesome teacher..
explains math to u like you were 10 yrs old.good?
I suddenly find myself very interested in math...and really enjoying sitting in the front!! No, but really, he is awesome. In ever aspect. Dresses nice, too.
Well, Im horrible at math, but I passed his class and never have to take it again. Im glad I had him. His class is really easy, tests aren't that hard, and he's a really cool guy. He won't really cut you any slack with bumping up grades or anything, but he doesnt have to because his class isn't that hard and he makes class fun. Im glad I took him
Mr. Vidinoff is the best math teacher at Fresno City College! Take him if you can. He tells you what will be on the tests. Very easy and fun. Great teacher. Highly recommended!
Excellent professor! Makes understanding easy, and explains everything until you do understand. I hated math before I took him! I still dont like it, but certainly don't dread it. As a side note... hes pretty good looking.
Great Teacher with great teaching techniques, great guy
exellent, instructor.
Really good Math teacher. He really cares for his students, and will help if you're having any trouble. I'd take him again!
Very helpful, makes math fun, enjoyed class and hope to have professor again.
He was very thorough when teaching and made math alot easier to understand. Prepared us very well for Math 101 & 103.
This is the greatest math instructor I have encountered yet! He is very laid back yet extremely professional and student oriented! There is no other math instructor like him! Anyone seeking to take this instructor...DO IT!
Best Math teacher EVEEER! Knows his stuff and makes learning fun (well its math so...not as boring i mean). Easy to understand. Final is comprehensive but it doesn't hurt you if you have a solid grade. Sense of Humor +++
I LOVE THIS MATH TEACHER! I never understood math until I took his class then I was able to learn it all from him. He is very good at teaching math, I recommend him as much as everyone else!
Reads everything from the text book word for word and only uses text book examples. Assigns massive homework at times.
I took this class over the summer and couldn't have been happier. Mr. Vidinoff is an excellent math teacher!!! I wish I had known about him earlier. For people that struggle with math, this is the instructor you want. He knows how to explain math so that it makes sense. Highly recommended!!
Good teacher and very helpful if enough time. Goes through lecture material very fast and loads of homework. No extra credit. For people who are behind or not strong in basic math (math 1o1, 103)the class will be hard.
I took him a while back, but I mostly remember he's a fairly handsome man and his teaching was understandable. If you still need help with the math, I encourage you to go see him during his office hours; he's helpful and will explain it to you. Besides, it was nice look at someone handsome teaching, made time go by faster lol.
He is the best math teacher ive had so far! He gives alot of hw but that is good since ur grades reflect it!. He makes the class and lessons fun and easy to understand. He has a cool sense of humor. His tests r easy. And he is very helpful in the beginnig of ea.class and during.Too bad he isnt teaching stats sooner
He's an excellent, and I mean excellent teacher but if you're one of those students who gets B's in math classes by getting A's on the homework and C's on the test...Do not take this class. Homework isn't worth that much and the tests/quizzes are very difficult which in turn make it very difficult to get a C, much less an A or B. Good teacher thoug
He's an excellent teacher. He makes everything really easy to understand and he wants you to pass so he's willing to help you when you don't get it. He's also patient with the students who ask a lot of questions :) I highly recommend him.
Is a very good teacher, and explains himself clearly during lecture. He is always willing to repeat himself, several times if necessary, in order for the class to understand the material. His tests are manageable if you study. Plus, he's a total hottie, so coming to class is actually a treat!
people r not perfect but he is the one who will show u wat r the proffesors all abt in college. He's trying to give u hard time, bcz he wanna u to learn something, but its all abt to make u smile after...He's the awesome teacher i ever took...Highly recommended!!!You r going to be blessed in that class 4 sure. i was...i got an A..
AWESOME TEACHER !!! Had him for a summer class and was so happy I did. Believes that homework is an important tool, and he is right. He was fair with the amount he assigned. Would take him again, without hesitation. Best math teacher I have had or could of had.
This instructor is awesome! The first time I took his class was for Math 260B-260D. I also took Math 101 and passed with flying colors. He explains well, knows the material,is very smart and down to earth. All you have to do is keep up with the homework, be present for every class and ask questions.
I have never been good at math until i met mr.v!!...He is the best/coolest teacher ever!!...I actually attempted to take someone else for 101 sat in the class for about 10 minutes and there was no way so i went and talked to mr v and got into his class!!...I would suggest him to everyone!!...hands down best and SOO cool!!
Dude is legit. He is very helpful with any and all questions, if he doesn't have, or is unsure of an answer, he will get back to you with the correct information ASAP. Tests are easy if you study. Not to much HW, but enough to keep you busy. Highly recommend him to anyone that wants to learn.
THIS INSTRUCTOR GIVES MANY DIFFERENT EXAMPLES OF HOW TO WORK OUT A PROBLEM AND MAKES SURE THAT YOU UNDERSTAND IT. IF YOU HAVE A CONFUSED LOOK ON YOUR FACE AND WILL QUESTION YOU ABOUT IT. BEFORE TAKING A MATH CLASS WITH HIM I HATED MATH AND DIDN'T EVEN WANT TO ATTEMPT DOING IT, I ACTUALLY REALLY ENJOYED TAKING HIS CLASSES, AND HES CUTE!!!
He is great and willing to help his students go to his office hours if you don't understand something. Test& h/w are online. tests are really similar to study guide questions. I recommend him to every one good luck !!
Mr. Vidinoff is the best math teacher at Fresno City College. I just completed Math 255 with him and I passed the class with an A. His teaching style worked very well for me and he is very patient with students who ask questions or need help. He is very easy going, and really cares about his students.
Hes a really cool teacher. I hate math but and I cant lie I still struggled in this class but I passed. He makes it easier for you to attend class due to his enthusiastic teaching. Hes real cool I think if you were gonna choose any math teacher, choose him. Also if you have a 65% in the class at the end of the semester he still gives you a C :))
Triple O.G. Vidinoff...gifted teacher, nice guy, the class was hard for me and I am good at math but the way he taught it I understood if I worked hard and study. Recomend
By far my favorite math teacher! He takes the time to explain everything! If you didn't understand something he would explain it and use other examples to help you understand the material. Pay attention and study and you should be fine!
Just finished on Thursday, July 25th, 2013 for summer...was very fast paced, passed with a C...but overall, he is a really really really good teacher...helped me to understand word problems...teaches you an easier way to do the math problem if he knows that the class is ready or on the same page-other than that, you won't regret taking him at all.
Great Math Teacher!! He has some very unique and useful ways of teaching to help you remember and understand (The Beyonce Rule, Topizin, Frontizin, etc). Attendance is very important since his ways are easier than the MyMathLab way. He is the only math teacher I've taken at City!
Great teacher! Excellent at explaining the material (breaks it down so you understand). I passed 255 and 101 with no problem, however, this was a DIFFICULT class. No study guides. You MUST attend class and complete the homework to do well. He is definitely willing to help if you ask.
I suck at math and took alg 2 so many times and never passed it until I landed it in this class! Mr. Vidinoff make math so easy and simple! Love the way he teaches math! I hate math so much but the way he teaches I like it and get it! Highly recommend his class!
Good teacher. Even though I'm good at math I sure learned a lot in that class. His lectures are easy to understand. If you're comfortable with math just buy the online code(saves you a lot of money) and take VERY good notes, do all the online homework, and don't miss a test, then you should be good.:)
Took him last semester and this semester. Best math teacher ever. You have to show up, do the work, pay attention, involved in class, use the online practice test to help you get ready for each test, and take notes. You do this and you will pass. If you get an A he lets you skip the final. Cares about teaching!
DOnt take this class online. He doesnt do anything in the class everything is online. We are basically teaching our self's its hard to get help and understand the material when the instructor doesnt reply back to you. The test are confusing
Most amazing Math professor so far!Had him for Math 201 & he couldn't stress enough how hard 103 was, thanks to him I'm flying through it in a 4wk summer class! He's very tough so be prepared to listen & work hard! He's also very strict wattendance so this isn't the class to slack! If you're not a serious student don't waste some elses opportunity!
The wort professor ever!!!!!!!!!!!!! He thinks he is funny, but he is not. He has the tendency to give his opinion about everything and goes off topic and expects you to learn everything in a couple of hours. Rude Rude Rude!!!! He does not help the students out if their simply failing their failing because they aren't mathematicians.
hes a good teacher. Hes not the best but hes good. gives a lot of homework but uses my math lab. his lectures can be confusing but he passed me so i cant complain. He doesn't really talk or joke so he can be boring. his grading scale is cool he considers a 68% a C.
Mr. Vidinoff is a great instructor. You get what you deserve no free grades, if you study do well on exams and do homework you'll pass. Going to the tutorial center and putting in time to understand the material helps a lot. 10 exams plus final. He really knows his stuff, you will learn a lot. One of the best instructors at FCC.
This professor is really easy to talk to, he wants you to pass his class, so please don't be shy, ask questions and use the tutors if need be. he is very fair and you get the grade you work for. study hard do your homework and enjoy the class you got the best teacher in the math department in my opinion.
Honestly he's a pretty good teacher and wants his students to understand the math, but he won't cut you any favors. I took his 103 class and if you weren't an A plus student in 201, YOU WONT PASS!!!! If math is a hard subject for you, don't take this guy. He expects you to know it before you even get to class. I passed by the skin of my teeth.
He was never confusing, and when students needed help, he would offer it. He gave alot of examples for what would be on the hw, and he let us know what would be on the exams. (That was SUPER helpful) He did make us buy the code because we had hw online. I would say it was a lot of hw? His exams were less than 20 questions.
Professor Vinidoff is a laid-back professor. He is very good at teaching the subject, as long as you show up everyday, take decent notes (tells you what you need to know on the TESTs), and do all the HW youll do fine. No freebees in grading, you get what you worked for.
I took it online for the semester and finish my whole homework in a month. His test werent hard just do the pratice test or have a math helper like mathway and it gives you the answers.
I took an online class with this teacher. The homework wasn't that bad if you can self reach yourself nd you know your math. The only problem were the tests. They were short, and there were a lot of questions. So expect to study a lot and make sure you know what your doing. I almost had a C- (I was a few percents away).
You can tell Professor Vidinoff has been teaching the subject for a while based on his teaching. He not only knows his stuff (of course he Has to) but he also knows how to ease the concepts into your brain. He Knows where students struggle the most and makes it known that he's there for you. I would definitely take him again if I could!
The class was tough but doable. He always responded to me quickly via email. He is very helpful. I spent a lot of time trying to master the subject. I'm not very good at math so I had to try really hard. I'm taking him again for 103.
He's a great teacher! Any questions I had I was able to email him my recieve a fast reply! I took him for 201 and I'm taking again for 103! The hw was easy and the tests for the most part where easy, I spent a lot of time mastering the subjects and doing my pre and post tests! Overall he shows that he cares about his students!
Very clear lecture!!! He is one of the best teach in City college!!!
Great professor ever! Math is my weakest subject. i hate math and math hates me. This course is not just an easy class but you do learned a lot from him. He goes by quite fast for a slow person like me but i did learned a lot from him. Lectures straight out from the text. Exams are less than 20 questions. Be prepared & show up everyday to pass.
The class was an easy class, just as long as you do the homework because the grade for the class is homework heavy and because it's more difficult than the tests, if you understand it, tests are an easy pass. The lectures are always clear and concise and information heavy so attendance is require. If you're a quick learner, don't buy the textbook.
Mr. Vidinoff's has great lectures that are engaging and informative. He gets straight to the point, filling the entire time with information. There will be new material and concepts, so it is imperative to show up consistently. There are tests every other week, but he prepares you well. Do the homework and show up! He is great.
He is an amazing teacher!! definitely take him! the hw is not very difficult and he makes the subject seem very easy! his tests arent very hard as long as you pay attention, he will tell you what will be on the tests. He only lets you be absent once to be prepared to attend class daily!
Failed Stats before taking his class, but passed this class with an A. Awesome professor. Explains the correct way of solving problems, then shows you how to do it on your calculator. Need a graphing calculator. Attendance is mandatory. If you have an A going into the final, you won't have to take the final. Easy/short tests every chapter.
Great Professor, wish he could teach all of my math classes. Opportunities for extra credit, if you put in some extra hours in the tutorial center. Drops your lowest test from your final grade and allows you to skip the final if you have an A. Easy to learn from too. No complaints
This is my second time taking math 103 and I'm doing really well in it. Math was never my strong suit, but right now I have a B in his class! He's such a great professor. He makes u feel welcome to ask questions and thoroughly explains everything. He's willing to help out as much as he can. You can tell he really loves what he does.
Mr. Vidinoff describes Math103 as algebra on steroids, and he's not lying. If a student is willing to put in the time, do all of the homework, and just study, they'll get by. I hadn't realized how fast he goes through the lectures, and was sinking fast until I realized that's his way to weed out those who aren't serious. Learn for yourself.
He is a slow paced teacher, he makes sure everyone understands the material and courages everyone to ask questions. If math isn't your strong point, I highly recommend Mr. Vidinoff.
I took his online math class for spring summer 2017 and I have to say it was a terrible experience He used mymathlab for his online class and it was a horrible method for teaching the material I told him I was having trouble learning the material and that I needed help and he pretty much told me to go somewhere else he does not care at all
I took Mr. Vidinoff Math 103 class in the summer 2017. It was a six week class and it was tough. It was tough because I hadn't been to school in 10 years and Math is not my subject. I am wanting to change Prof for my Stats class. I hope there's room. He uses My Math Lab. The tests, homework & quizze were easy and the practice tests helped alot.
Lectures are clear, but its hard to retain so much information and even harder to do homework. Homework is on my math lab. The hardest thing would be homework and as the semester goes on it is extremely overwhelming. Once you finish homework, we jump right into tests making it impossible to retain info. This class stressed me out so much.
Tests are every week and hard! He does the lecture on my math lab, but tests are not like the HW. He moves very fast with lectures and It's hard to keep up. I stay up til 4 am studying and I even have a tutor. Still failing my tests. I think he relies on the ETC Tutor to teach us, but his job is to help. Not teach us everything.
Uses mymathlab for homework and gives weekly tests. Everything is so fast paced and difficult to process. Class attendance is mandatory if you want to pass and not get dropped.
You take lots of notes, so don't miss class or you'll be lost guaranteed. But it's an easy A. You do not use the textbook, but must buy it online ($100) anyways to access the homework. Homework's online & you get several chances to redo the problems to get 100% on the homework. He is very patient with his students, & makes sure you understand.
If you attend class you should be fine and pass!! Use etc. Homwoerk is online witch is harder then the examples we do in class. Test are not long but make sure you review the material learned in class over and over because so much is learned in the two hours and is forgotten real quick!
Great professor! If you want to learn math, take his class! He makes math easy to understand. I would take his class again. He makes you work for your grade, but show up to class, do your homework, and prepare for the exams. It's as simple as that! He also, has a great sense of humor and wants his students to succeed!
Loved this class. It had been forever since I took a math class and he made this easy to understand. If I had questions, I could ask comfortably. There are ETC sessions that helps with the class. Went to almost all class lectures and passed with an awesome grade. Would totally recommend this class to all.
He is such a patient math teacher. He is very clear and clarifies things. His tests are chapter to chapter. That makes them easier. Assigns online hw. Its a lot so do it asap. Go to etc and it will help u pass. Hes a great instructor. Would recommend
Took the class over the summer. It went by fairly quickly. The class revolves around lectures, which was fine. Test were about once a week. This was expected since it was a summer class. Just pay attention to lectures, review notes, and should do okay. No hard copy textbook. Homework are done on mymathlab. Get an A and no final.
If math isn't your best subject , this is not the class for you. Lots of homework on my MathLab and grades pretty harsh on test and homework.
I took professor Vidinoff awhile ago and I always recommend! The way he instructs makes most of the materiel understandable. He takes his times and answers questions. He is big on attendance which makes total sense because you miss so much info with just 1 day. I will take him for every required math class he instructs!
There is a lot of things to learn, but he breaks it down well. Attendance is a must. I can rely on his teaching, because when I do the hw on the computer, I most likely remember everything. Not a lot of homework, about 9 questions at the most. He gives us a 10 min break. He teaches slow but it really answer my questions before asking.
The class itself was not that bad, but the fact that if you miss more than two classes he drops you from the class, even after the drop dates which sucks if you have emergencies he said he does not care and he will drop you. By the end of the semester there was less that half the class and we started off with over 200 students.
Great professor. I would love to take his class again if I could! Just make sure to do your work, and put in as much effort as you can and you WILL pass. Everything he teaches is on the tests, so there are no suprises. ASK QUESTIONS IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THE LESSON. He never fails to clear things up!
you have homework and test for each chapter, the homework you can answer until you get it correct. I took 201 in summer and 103 in fall, there was so much homework due in a short amount of time due to the short amount time i wouldn't recommend taking this course during the summer.
A great teacher!!!
I took this instructor over the summer in the 4 week session. All his test were online and monitored. Notes are allowed. I took notes from the H.W. through MML. On canvas I dont recommend the authors videos just the instructors. Take good notes youll need them if you want to take it over the 4 weeks. I recommend the tutoring center as well.
I took him for two different classes, sat in the back in both, and I passed both. The homework is online. go to tutoring for extra credit. If you have more than two absences, you WILL get dropped. Just show up, take notes, and ask questions. You should be OK
(4weeksummer) I took his online class and it was tough but due able. Your given plenty fo material to pass but I highly recommend the tutoring center.
He gives out tests chapter by chapter, so you don't have to remember 4 chapters worth of notes on one test, which is amazing! He also offers extra credit, is available outside of class for any questions, and has an amazing tutor. I highly recommend going to the tutoring sessions before the tests! He is very kind, and makes math super easy! Math 11
Professor Vidinoff is a fantastic professor. He really knows what he's teaching and he truly cares for it as well. He is extremely kind and loving. There's lots of homework but if you pay attention in class you'll alright. Also, if you get an A by the end of the semester, he won't make you take the final
Very chill professor & passionate about math. Really caring and just wants you to pass. Math isn't a subject I'm passionate about & if you aren't either then you HAVE to show up in order to pass. Take lots of notes and focus.
Math is not something Im good at. Taking an online class was a big mistake. He did have lots of online lectures for each section as well as had a feature for homework help in the assignment section. Homework weighs more than tests. This is the only reason I passed his class. Dont take an online math class if you struggle with it. Good teacher.
This is a tough class to take online, but if you do the homework and understand the material you should pass the tests
His MATH11 is really easy as long as you do the study guide. The quiz/exam is almost like the study guide. Recommend you don't miss a day because you'll fall behind. Try to stay away in the class, because lectures are kinda boring unless you participate. Do your homework, attend class, do study guide and ace the exam and it'll be an easy A.
All you do are modules. At first theres a lot but as time progresses it lessens. As someone whos always been terrible at math, it was difficult at first. Though he adds videos to help for each questions. Also during exams you need to download something so it watches/listens to you.
Professor Vidinoff is an awesome Math teacher and helps to make stats understandable. The homework is done through Math Lab. If you study and take it seriously you should get an A. The Exams are identical to the Study Guide he is understanding and will allow you to replace your lowest test with your Final score. Very talented and knowledgable 10/10
Must buy textbook, homework is on MyMathLab. It is super easy and straight forward. Stats is not easy but the format of the class is a breeze. Prof. is kinda just a profile picture bc it's online but probably more personable in person. There are kinda pointless discussion boards. Overall, yeah take him get those credits and leave (:
Must buy new textbook for online homework. Uses proctorio for tests so you must have microphone and camera on. Nothing special. Easy enough. Prof. messages everyone reminders for assignment due dates which is nice. Will you actually learn statistics? Not really. Are you gonna pass and get your degree? D*mn right you will.
Math online is already pretty difficult. He didn't do lectures for us as a class, but he will hold study sessions if you need help. Don't do homework last minute it will stress you out. Exams were recorded as well.
You utilize a Pearson ebook for tests. Chapter tests are 5% around 10 chapter tests. Hw is 30% and the final is 20%. His modules are pretty straight forward. If you took statistics in Highschool and did fairly well, I wouldn't stress about this class. Definitely use tutoring services if you struggle.
I absolutely loved this professor! He had zoom vids to go over material (not mandatory & he would upload the recordings). Math is math & it can get complicated but he explained it pretty well. I didn't even have to use the book b/c of his vids. Lots of homework but tests are homework/study guide based. Super sweet! Checks in on you after exams!
Exams worth half your grade, homework is 30%, final is 20%. Gives feedback after exams. Took Statistics during covid, this math wasnt easy. Online tutoring helped a lot. This is college math, so you will have to work for your grade.
Great professor to take for stats. He has very clear explanations and does not complicate the material. There is a good amount of homework but it is never a lot or overwhelming. He always is there to help you if you are struggling. He is a super sweet and understanding prof. and even checks in on you after the exams. 100% recommend!!!
Taking an online class and there is A LOT of hw on MyMathLabs. His teaching and online setup for the class is very sloppy. He doesn't explain anything nor reply to any emails received. The homework is also due on an earlier date than listed, which is confusing and he will give 0 points. The given HW doesn't come with instructions as well...
Firstly hate math and was never a strength. He made it understandable, his video lectures are everything and thoroughly explains in detail, so homework is a breeze. His in-person zoom is the same way and I loved them because if there was homework I wasn't grasping he would explain it right there in the lecture and help me get it. Take him!
He is a very good math professor who cares about his students and if you get confused ASK! He is very helpful and does not make you feel dumb if you ever get lost which was a huge help for me. Make sure to keep up with the homework and STUDY he offers study guides which are incredibly helpful but he is VERY STRICT ON DEADLINES keep that in mind!
He's cold and unsympathetic. I had a family emergency and he refused to let me turn in any of the hw I missed. Hw is set up from the start, lectures are from last semester. His lectures are bare minimum and the hw has problems we don't go over. He provides bare minimum effort but he expects us to go above and beyond even when emergencies occur.
great professor his way of teaching is simple and effective goes straight to the point. And helps anyone who is stuck. Recorded lectures are also in the modules which really help a lot. Recommend taking notes to get ahead and have a better basis of what will be taught for the next lecture. Use resources given to you they will indeed help
I am terrible at math and was very worried about taking this but he was really great, even with encouragement on tests if you do well which is so rare. He won't let you turn in homework late but I think that's through the website he has and not necessarily his fault. He has recorded lectures and hes really thorough.
He is sooooo mean he doesn't respect that us students are human. He doesn't take any reason for for missing assignment, you work 12-hour shifts oh well, you're super sick oh well. Your grandma passed away oh well.
I just got a really bad start
Doesn't let you turn in your work late, and doesn't really grade too much either since it's all on pearson. Class was kind of easy since it was online. Doesn't offer any extra credit.
There is a lot of hw and the questions usually have 4-5 parts for one question. He does not accept any late work and has no chance to turn in late assignments at all. His recorded lectures are pretty lengthy. I recommend watching youtube videos for hw help and review for exams.
Homework was very difficult and his lectures don't even help to finish the homework. Tutoring and studying didn't help me pass his class. He has open notes during exams. He is a very tough grader. You have to attend class or it'll affect your grade. He doesn't give make up homework or exams if something happens outside your life.
I enjoyed Professor Vidinoff's class as a person who has struggled with math for the longest time. I found it easy to understand each concept from the lecture and complete each hmwrk. I recommend that you complete the study guides as they will help you a lot. Make sure to get a calculator at the beginning since you will need it all semester long.
DOES NOT care about your life outside of class. Will assign HW over the weekend. Forces students to teach. No excused tardiness or absceneces under any condition, even if you bring legitimate proof supporting your absence. Do yourself a favor, skip this headache of an instructor, find one that doesn't think the world revolves around their class.
He definitely isnt a bad teacher but definitely isnt the best either. If you have the option to take his class online I feel like it would fit better as in person you do the notes at home and then come to school to do practice problems you couldve done at home. Not only that but the attendance is worth points. Open note quizzes were a huge plus
If you need someone to talk with about understanding what you are doing and struggle in math in general, he isn't for you. I had a hybrid class and only saw him once a week I struggled a lot in understanding what I was doing and when I spoke up he didn't help. I did okay because of tutoring. It was hard to have a connection as a student to teacher
Professor Vidinoff's MATH11 class is manageable with a good study routine. Utilize unstuck ai, practice problems, and the free textbook to succeed. Attendance is required, but the lectures are helpful.
Professor Vidinoff really knows how how to teach and if you need help, he doesn't make you feel dumb whenever you ask him a question. The lectures were long you can always speed it up and make sure to take good notes so you can use them. Attendance is mandatory but overall, if you take good notes and understand the concept, you should be fine.
This professor lets you watch the lectures at home and reviews practice problems during class. Showing up in class is required, and it's helpful since the notes during class/lectures can be used for exams. He provides helpful online study guides for each test and the final. I was dreading this class but this professor made it easier to understand.
There is 0 leniency, you can't miss any test or you get dropped. He said he understands life happens but you can retake the next semester. Any problem you have he will send you to the help desk. I reached out for a question I had on the hw. Asked at 5pm, due date was midnight. He got back to me next morning. Take if it's a need otherwise don't
Attendance policy encourages students to come while sick without any leniency. Lectures are recorded zoom videos of an online class from almost half a decade ago when covid first brought people into lockdown. However, course is admittedly structured enough with canvas to be manageable enough to learn if you can learn by yourself from said recording
I really enjoyed his class & would recommend the professor! You will have to put in work, Lectures are online & you must TAKE GOOD NOTES, HW & exams weekly. If you keep an A won't have to take final! The best math teacher I've had! Not an easy A, but if you put in the work not only can you achieve it but I'm sure you will very much enjoy it too!
Not a very caring or understanding. If you forget any assignments there is no making up for them or Turning it in late for less credit. Not even if you talk to him personally half a hour after the assignment was due. Not much extra credit. You can't see what you get wrong on your tests to improve & you don't get a 2nd chance for it. He is nice tho
I didn't realize it was a 4 week class so the work was a lot but I was able to manage but if you have a full time job take a different class because the lectures are two hours long and the hw as well as the exams can take a while. Lockdown browser with webcams has to be on. Just Hw and Exam it's not bad if you want the lecture and TAKE NOTES.
Professor Vidinoff is an amazing teacher. Before taking his class, I honestly didn't know a single thing about math. I had taken Math 11 the previous semester with a different professor and still couldn't grasp any of it. But with Professor Vidinoff, everything finally clicked. He explains math in a way that's simple and easy to understand.
I took his class my freshman year, and it was probably my best math class ever. He was very fair, and you earn your grade. His lectures are beneficial, and he shows multiple ways to do things. Pay attention in class, be respectful, and do your work! He recognizes you for it, thank you for the kind words, Prof! -Elli
I took the online summer course, so there was a lot to do but he uploads all the lectures and assignments so you can work ahead when you have the time. Lectures explained everything perfectly and tests were open-note. He consistently left motivating notes on my assignments complimenting my work and answered any questions I had promptly.
Great professor. I took his stats class. Allowed notes on all exams, a big help since you have to write notes as an assignment anyway. You take notes from his lecture videos on your own time, which might be difficult for some, but it makes the work so much easier to understand.
