Awesome class! Not a very easy class but I never learned this much in a computer class. This professor even had a private investigator come in to talk to the class. Be aware, you will have a lot of labs! We had a lab almost every class but they were always interesting! Thanks to him I am going to pursue a career in Network Security.

Took this him in the summer for CIS 101. Energetic, willing to help, keeps class interested. Encouraging to those just stepping in to the computer field. Keeps an uplifting learning atmosphere. Email reply time is horrible though, most of the time no replies.

The most educated teacher I've ever met. If he doesn't know it, he won't teach it. That is very important! Started a school vs. school competition. His dedication is without comparison. He knows his stuff. Itis very rare that you can trip him up. I've never seen it.

You will never fall asleep in his class. I really enjoy the class and how we had technology labs using computers. He is always helping students but make sure you make an appointment if you need to see him, sometimes there is a line of students outside his office at his office hours.

It's not that his class is an easy A, but just showing up, listening and doing your work is enough. He engages every single student in lab assignments and projects and teaches effectively. The only student that didn't pass was an absolute dum dum... His lectures go by crazy fast because they're super interesting :) Cybersecurity rocks!

I was so concerned about taking my first programming class, and I must say this was a great semester. I enjoyed creating Windows programs and Professor Watkins made it very easy to understand. A few students were re-taking his course and believe me you will fail if you dont do the work! Awesome Professor!

He is an amazing teacher. I got an A in his class, and learned so much about Visual Basic. Now I am creating my own application and its so fun. Watkins does have a lot of work as he is always finding a way to make the learning for his Cyber Security much easier and with lots of experiences.

The programming class is fun and easy. My only complaint is that I wish he would stop teaching VB and teach Java instead. Most colleges in the U.S. teach Java. Why? Because no one is really using VB in the real world anymore. You might not think this is a big deal, until you transfer to a four-year college and have to retake programming again.

Computer forensics online over the summer was no joke. A lot of work to do but it was really cool to be connected to virtual machines for the labs. Sure it was a good class but I would prefer to take him in person.

5 weeks in summer crazy but i did it. I would take No more summer class again too much to do. he did cut down on the home works. we had lots of help from the tutors which he provided. I would recommend him.

The best teacher I've ever had. Fun and very enjoyable class would take again very thorough going over everything he teaches and answers any question you could have. Great teacher, absolutely recommend, but as a novice sometimes I felt I had to resort to looking online for help in finishing my code. He will also pick on students in class in to answer a questions usually something basic so no worries on that end.

Pros- Genuinely a nice guy Cares for his students Lenient Fun Offers a wealth of knowledge Cons- Favoritism- If you stand out, he'll take your side. Too lenient- Students get too many chances. Saw a student fall asleep infront of class multiple times. Nothing done. Hard to get a hold of- Wait until after class to speak to him directly.

Class is very easy if you read the assignments and do the work given. The only bad thing I would say is he didn't respond to any of my emails so if your someone who likes to communicate with your professors whether it's because you are struggling or because you have a question don't expect a response maybe even look elsewhere.

You won't learn anything unless you want to but you could get your answer from anywhere online. Basically a free A class. I assume he doesn't pay attention to his online classes because he puts the work up at the beginning of the semester and that's the first and last time you will hear from him. Doesn't respond to any emails.

Prof. Watkins is an engaging and experienced instructor. His practical lessons and hands-on approach made this remote course one of my best. Unstuck ai was a great supplement alongside the textbook and lectures to prep for quizzes.
