He is very helpful and always there for you. The assignments are mostly discussion posts and fun projects, which I greatly prefer over formal essays. I highly recommend his class!

Here is a professor that actually cares about his job and more importantly his students. From day 1 he has inspired me and worked with me through difficult times so that I would not have to drop the course. He expects you to work for your grade as grades are not given. When you hear about friends who are struggling with their sociology class because of the loads of work, John's class is the complete opposite. All the assignments online are opinionated discussion questions. All tests, quizzes, midterms, even finals are easy and open note. All you do is sit in class and have real life discussions like a family.

Mr. W was my favorite teacher I've ever taken, like EVER. The discussions you have in class are amazing and stimulating, he brings up every possible item that you will need to learn in class. Power points and outlines for each chapter are provided, information straight out of the book so the textbook isn't necessary, but is fun to read. He's great!

Literally BEST prof! Even though his opinions on somethings are a bit negative, but he's very open to other people's opinions. He's very flexible and understandable. Just do your work, pay attention in class, b/c quizzes are based on class discussions. If I could I would take him for every single one of my courses!

One of the best professors! Hes funny, very smart, and doesnt make you sit around when lecture is over. When lecture is over, you can leave. There are many group projects, which really sucks, as well as a huge final projects (500-1000 points). Several students complained that the course was too easy, and hed say hed make a change. I'm currently taking a class with Professor W and he's hands down the best! He teachers the material in an engaging way; it's not lecture after lecture - we have a lot of discussions and relate the material to our own lives. One of the best professors I've had. Instead of just lecturing, we had class discussions every day that were super engaging and informative. Don't buy the textbook! It's provided in class. He did three major group projects but they were awesome (I hate group projects, but these were great). There is no midterm or final, just pure learning.

This course is pretty group-work oriented, more often than not you'll find yourself working on a group project, however, all of the projects are very easy and fun. This class is definitely an easy A, Dr. W also grades attendance, so an easy 100 points just for signing in. This class is very interesting and fun, there's no real workload.

It's a great class to have, Dr. W always give opportunities for all his students to work together and make sure all his students understand the lectures. There are unique and fun group-projects that require you to work off your best. It's not a difficult class, you could get an A if you attend all the classes and do online quizzes.

Dr. Wesolowski is one of the best professors! He is very understanding and he truly cares about helping people succeed in class. The workload in this class is very manageable. We did not receive a lot of homework other than online quizzes. This course is group work-oriented as we had several group projects throughout the semester.

Dr. W made our class so easy to learn. He made everyone comfortable on hard-to-talk-about subjects. The class was interactive and fun. Mr Wesolowski taught me this year for ACDV 101, and the class taught me a lot of life skills and basic knowledge that everyone should know. He really showed us the loopholes and cares for his students as much as teachers should, if I could change anything it would be nothing but him teaching in more subjects throughout.

Had a great semester with Professor Wesolowski! He has a very visual and open teaching style where he encourages students to engage in deep and interesting discussions. These discussions are what honestly made the class more enjoyable and pair that with his comedic and positive character and it calls for a great environment.

Although I took his winter class but those were the best 3 week for me as a student. enjoyed his lectures; he will provide a safe environment for his student to feel comfortable and speak up about their thoughts and opinions. I took this course in the Winter Semester 2023 Prof W is a great professor. He made himself very accessible for questions, comments, and concerns and responded in a timely manner. His exams can be difficult as you have short essays but reviewing his provided slides should be enough to get by. Follow the rubric for essays and papers! :)

It was one of my first college-level classes and I can say it was a breeze. It is an easy A if you focus, take notes in class, review before any test, and do your homework. Tests are pretty straightforward, very easy, and not that many.

I took this class in the Fall of 2023 and it was an amazing experience. Dr. Wesolowski was extremely accessible and easy to reach if there were any issues or concerns, and always answered pretty quickly. His lectures are extremely engaging and educational. The class is conversation and discussion heavy, so participation is important.

To the point and easy class if you participate and do the assignments. Assignments are easy just keep up with the work. Lectures are fun to attend.

This professor spent a lot of class with discussion based style teaching. I think it was very beneficial to understanding the material and ability to convey it. Also I think the projects were different and a bit out of comfort-zone for some but gave real-world experience with the material which was cool.

Dr. W is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He is very understanding when it comes to late submissions, so if you need more time to complete something all you need do is reach out. Very open-minded and Knowing of all areas in Maryland. Very well aware and diverse and is respectful of all things being said.

So, the textbooks are online and free. We mostly have discussions about what we have learned in class which are really interesting topics we talk about. Supposedly you can't turn in late work but every once in a while, he will unlock the assignments for everybody to turn in their late work. The exams are easy because they are all multiple-choice.

He is the most sweetest guy, he gives good lectures that we are open to an opinion and you will never be wrong, there isn't no wrong answer when it comes to his class. I took this class early in the morning but it was still a good class. did a lot of projects and the quizzes aren't that hard either.

He doesn't give us excessively difficult assignments, but I still learned a whole lot. Our class had tons of fun with him. We had lots of great discussions.

This class allows for open discussion about social and political issues in the world without judgement of your opinion. If you want a class you will actually enjoy and get something out of, Intro to Sociology with this professor is the way to go.

Overall great lecture where everyone could voice their opinion without judgment or bullying. I enjoyed the cultural project most of all because it made us come together more and at the same time have fun learning about other cultures.

I thoroughly enjoy all the discussions we had in class - that being said, the course is discussion heavy, but fun and thought-provoking. I would highly recommend Dr. W as a professor as he was one of my favorites!

He is the best you have him you are not failing unless u don't do the work and he let me turn in 8 assignments late without taking any points off his projects are all group and my exams were online and even if it's not the exams are still easy and it's on his study guide.

Awesome summer class very professional, funny an caring. Miss a class and it is like missing a month. He keeps class very engaged lots of hands on activities and expects open dialogue. I highly recommend Dr. W he is the best!

Dr. W made this intro sociology course engaging and discussion-heavy. His grading was fair, and he was understanding about late assignments. I found Unstuck ai and the free textbook very helpful for prep. Would definitely take this class again.

I wasn't able to attend this class alot but I wish I did, hes a fun teacher who keeps things engaging constantly and is really invested in making sure everyone is engaged and understands more then just the surface level content

Really nice professor and doesn't give out a lot of work

He's an amazing professor. This was my favorite class. He's very understanding. The work is not hard. He doesn't give a lot of work. He pays attention to the fact that people have different learning styles. Our class was mostly open discussions about current events and how it relates to sociology. He's very chill and relaxed. You can speak openly.

He's an amazing , engaging and excellent instructor who makes difficult topics easier to understand. He's always patient when you are answering questions and genuinely care about his students' success. . I highly recommend him for anyone who wants to take Soc 101

He is a great professor, one of the best I have had. He is very understanding and nice and he keeps the class engaged into the topic. the assignments are fairly easy and simple. I would highly recommend to take his class.

Best professor I have ever had. His passion to teach shines through in every lecture,creates an environment where every student feels seen,heard,and valued, encourages open dialogue/critical thought. Connecting real-world issues w/theory made learning feel meaningful/relevant. I highly recommend him.

Tests are mostly surprises but he will tell you ahead sometimes. No final or midterm. Have to go to class to get points on test and assignments. Easy assignments, one big paper at the end. Very good discussions in class and he is entertaining.

Mr. Wesolowski was a wonderful teacher overall. He is very understanding and caring towards his students. He explains things clearly and is willing to help if any questions are asked. He encourages participation within discussions creating a comfortable space for everyone to talk. I would highly recommend him!

Professor Wesolowski is truly an amazing teacher. He made the class very engaging and interesting. He is very approachable, caring and pretty funny. Also the textbook he provided was free and online.

Lectures are exciting and very engaging. The workload is very light, and as long as you show up to class and pay attention, you will receive an A in the class.

best professor I've had hands down. Makes sure you understand the material. Gets along with all students. Shows he cares for his students. Makes the material enjoyable. Would choose him to be my professor for any class if I could !

Dr W was a great professor overall. Ignore his profile picture that makes him look strict. This course is centered around discussions in class and participation, but Dr W does a good job with allowing everyone to get involved. There are some quizzes but overall if you just show up, participate, and pay attention you will be fine.

Prof. W is an amazing professor. He does not give out a lot of homework and participation in the class discussions is all that matters. I would 100% take this class again.

Genuinely an awesome professor. Probably my favorite professor I've had in my first year of community college. He makes learning fun by creating lectures into discussions with the entire class. It just makes things easier on us as a student, and I'm assuming him as a professor. 10/10 would recommend :)

he's cool ig

Very easy professor. Participation is important, his lectures are very interactive, so don't be that student that never opens their mouth. He notices when the same people are the only ones participating in discussion every class. Very easy to get in contact with, clear grader, and very personable. Don't use AI and you will pass lol.

This was a great professor, he keeps things real, and I like that in a professor he is also very funny and good at his job if you fail this course its simply because you didn't show up.

Dr. Wesolowski is the professor you want for a sociology class. He is very charismatic and funny. The class is chill and mostly lecture-based; he does not read off of a slide show and talk at you, it's like he is actively having a conversation with you. Just participate in the lectures and show up, and you will be fine.

This class was great the professor was nice I took a summer course and as long as you participated and interacted in the conversation you would get a good grade.

Very easy class and tells you everything that will be in the quizzes. Would recommend to take this class in person as it's very engaging.

Great professor, great class. The class is based mainly on participation so attendance is kind of necessary. Very fun, and personable. Makes the classroom a safe space which allows you to want to participate.

Dr. Wesolowski was by far one of my favorite professors! And I doubt that that will change anytime soon! He was understanding and just an overall great guy!

An Overall stellar professor, the type you wish all professors were like. No homework, easy to understand, all learning was done in class, 1 test in the entire course (It was a 7 week class tho), and what I loved most was his sense of humor. If you need credits and want to have a fun time learning, by all means take one of his classes.
