He is the best! He is also great for Sex Crimes and Theories of Criminality. Such a helpful teacher and so down to earth. I would recommend it to anyone. Great teacher!

One of the best classes I ever took in college. Prof. White is an expert, but he teaches in laymans terms. This is not a cakewalk, you have to do the work and he doesn't toss A's around...but it's an excellent class.

John White is an excellent teacher who is extremely educated in the CJ field. He is a former police officer and FBI Agent. Don't mess with him! Take his course and pay attention to the very interesting and awesome knowledge he has to share with those of us fortunate enough to know him.

This is the best teacheryou will ever take at stockton.Many people say that he is tough but that is because most of the courses he teaches are upper level class.But he helps you out inside and out of class, makes class fun and extremely interesting, and shares a lot of personal experiences with you.

What an AWESOME professor! The only class I have ever taken at 8:30 in the morning that I did not feel compelled to sleep through. He's funny, adorable, and makes you interested in the evil things serial killers do. A must take for any crim/psyc major!!!!

This is one of the most interesting classes I have ever taken. He tells great stories that will make you think twice about walking alone at night. His exams were easy, I got A's and didn't study until the night before and did not even open the book. He tells you the questions for the exam the class before. Its a GREAT class to take!

Sex Crimes was one cool class and so was Forensic Behavior Analysis, however, FBA was a tough class. He uses good humor, but can be a jackass sometimes. Yeeehawwww! CAWBOY! Looks like a serial killer himself

Awesome teacher. Very interesting and knowledgeable. Made a 3 hour summer class from 8am-11am go by quickly. Has lots of stories to tell, and a lot of jokes (sometimes corny but always funny) to tell. Definitely do not leave Stockton without taking a class with him.

Forensic Behav Anal- I really recommend this class. It was very interesting. Dr. White has so many crazy stories. For some creepy reason I am somewhat attracted to him.

I forgot to mention that this class requires a lot of work. Pretty hard, but very interesting!

Sex Crimes was a very interesting course where he told a lot of crazy stories! Wasn't that hard but the prject required quite the bit of work. Great teacher, definitely take him!

Forensic Behavior Analysis is a lot of work. Research of two killers, a presentation, and a ten page paper along with the tests, but the information is so interesting that it isn't bad. Interesting course, great teacher!

I had Prof. White for Forensic Behavior Analysis. He had a very interesting teaching style. He made the class enjoyable while we learned. If I had the opportunity, which I don't since I'm graduating in May, I'd take classes with this professor again.

I really enjoyed this class! He kept it very interesting and had a story for EVERYTHING! Some more funny then others, but he meant well, lol. I would definitly take him again. One HUGE project, but no papers. Tests are fairly easy but are cumulative so be careful!

He is truly a diamond in the rough. No papers, no homework, just tests and a project. Extremely personable and is eager to answer any questions. Couldn't fall asleep if I tried! Take him for ASD if you aren't a CRIM major/SOBL, you won't be disappointed. Can't wait till he come back from hiatus! (Spring 09)

Such an interesting class! Stories are crazyyyyy, class wasn't easy but I got an A because the stuff he talked about was very interesting you really wanted to learn more

I took Dr. White for serial and mass murder in the U.S. & I plan on taking him for any other class that I can! I am a Crim major & I am thrilled that there is such a wonderful professor in this department! He is a great person & a very interesting professor! He is passionate about what he does! in gss3207 he went over test questions. was an easy A!

BEST PROFESSOR EVER! His classes are overwhelming, alot of work and alot of reading, but you will learn so much. He has the best stories and he makes class interesting. He cracks corney jokes but its ok. Always reviews from exams and tells you everything. Great guy!

Actual class time is great, but the take home work is overwhelming and not so great.

JOHN WHITE IS ONE OF THE BEST PROFESSORS AT STOCKTON!!! He makes the class a very fun learning environment. Its a lot of work, but at the sametime you walk away with alot of knowledge about serial killers personalities. His test is accumulative & I received an A. If you get a chance make sure you take Dr. White, Dr. White is a wonderful professor!

Serial and mass murder over the summer! 3 exams and 1 project (powerpoint). 1 paperback book for the class (it's interesting) and he goes over the test questions the class before the test! EASY A! Plus, White spends most of the class telling really cool stories about his job. LOVED IT! made me wish i majored in criminal justice!

DR. JOHN WHITE is hands down one of the best professors at Stockton. I've taken him for Sex Crimes and Personality. I've learned so much from him, and he's a true inspiration. He's also CRIM professor with field experience and relates everything you learn to his experience. Definitely take him! He's also an awesome preceptor!

Dr. White is superman. Ex-cop, practicing forensic psychologist and brain injury specialist = always has stories to illustrate. Soo funny too. Makes it practically impossible to fail. Gives you all test questions ahead of time. Always a joy to go to class.

Dr. White has lots of wonderful stories about the cool stuff he has encountered throughout his life and more than a few corny jokes to keep you entertained. He is hilarious. I am truly happy to have been his student twice.

This is a great class ! Prof white tells very detailed stories that keep you interested. He teaches about things that other teachers wouldnt even talk about. He gives looong tests but the study guide is the exact test so as long as you complete the study guide you complete the test. Otherwise there's one group presentation and weekly articles

I absolutely loved this professor. You should read the text book, but I managed without it. Extremely knowledgeable and lots of insight. Makes the class tolerable and very interesting. I definitely reccomend taking this class!

I am so in love with this man. He is the GREATEST professor Stockton has or will ever have. He is so helpful and interesting with everything. He goes off on a few tangents, but they're related to class. I would take every class with him if i could.

Awesome professor with an abundance of knowledge in the field. He teaches his classes based on personal experience. Reading the books are a MUST. His projects are easy, but he is a tough grader. He's definitely recommended for anyone taking CRIM/PSYC classes. Great professor.

Professor White is a great guy and his class is VERY interesting! He teaches based off of personal experience. He is very funny. He reviews the test word for word, so write everything down during the review and you will do fine. *Work on your binder throughout the semester! Easy project but long and tedious if you leave it all until the last minute

One of my favorite professors! I have never been so interested in a 8:30 am class. Tells so many amazing stories and if you write down the notes and show up the day before a test it is hard to get a bad grade. Don't procrastinate the binder it is a lot of searching to find the articles.

Best professor at Stockton. He really knows his stuff. Anyone interested in going into forensic psychology take him! His class was pretty easy- 2 tests and 1 final, movie summary every week, and group presentation on a case study. His tests are kind of hard, unless he goes over the questions which he did sometimes. Very funny and entertaining class

White is a great teacher, lots of interesting stories to keep you engaged. Lots of reading, 3 tests 1 group project 1 10 page paper. Interesting topics, will keep you interested. Just a little unclear about directions but if you ask he'll help you. Great guy!

Super cute man. Assigns readings and 1 page long summaries every week. Gives questions that will be on test and the answers to them, so just memorize the answers and read the case summaries and you will get an A no problem.

Such an easy professor and his class was entertaining. He definitely knew how to make class interesting with his stories. Before each exam he would say what questions are on it and go over the answers so you really just had to memorize. I would take him again.

Sex Crimes was an amazing class, but it was not as easy as everyone lead me to believe: the class consisted of one project, and three exams. & he only takes the two highest of your exam grades. You need to read all three textbooks to come up with the answers for the review sheets. And he no longer goes over the exam review sheet. Good luck!

Dr. White is so highly respected here at Stockton and its easy to see why. Every tuesday we had a short quiz which as long as you've read is a guaranteed 100. His lectures are interesting. We did two mock cases which were very fun. There is a group project so be ready to do some real work. Theres also 3 small books for class.

He is an amazing professor and tells amazing stories from the field he works in. I learned a lot by taking his class. 4 exams and drops the lowest and optional final. One BIG project of finding 75 sex crimes articles that need to be organized in a binder. Other than that, the class is amazing and fun to go to at 830 in the AM.

Amazing professor, always teaches interesting classes. I have only taken hybrid with him. Attendance is mandatory, quiz at the beginning of every class but very easy and depending on the class he gives you a study guide. Always has interesting videos for us to watch as homework, for this class they were all really good movies. Very easy to get A

This class is interesting and he's a great professor. I was unclear about my grade because he's bad at responding to emails. Group project is easy but the exams are difficult. They're based off the lectures and the two books that are assigned. So there is a lot of reading. Otherwise, this class is decently easy if you read and show up.

The best class I have taken at Stockton, by far. Very interesting. You'll definitely learn a lot. Class is tough and a lot of work but its not that bad. Dr. White is pretty cool. Overall, I'm glad I took the class.

Great professor. All tests are take home, you only have two and your lowest one is dropped. One group presentation. Class was very interesting, highly recommend him.

Class was interesting but a seven page paper ends up being 40+ pages in a binder, you'll have a group project as well. Three exams but drops the lowest grade, but exams are HARD. 3 books you're reading at once along with finding time to work on your paper.

Dr. White was amazing! I took him for three classes in one semester; Forensic Behavior Analysis, Sex Crimes, and Forensic Psychology. I recommend him for all 3! He lectured a lot and the slides were mediocre at best if you're a note taker, but his knowledge is unbeatable. One of the best professors I've taken in my college career.

Dr. White is one of the best psychology professors I've ever had. I had him for both Sex Crimes and The Criminal Brain last semester. He does require a lot of textbooks, and you WILL be using all of them. Sex Crimes just has a couple of exams and you have to find 75 articles of diff sex crimes. For TCB you have 3 exams and weekly assignments.

5 books required. 2 require outlines due before the end of the semester. 2 you are quizzed on weekly along with vocab. Last book is more supplemental. Individual 10 page paper also due before end of semester. Group project due same day as paper. 3 homework assignments due each week that can be time consuming. Unclear assignments. Ive cried so much

I took three classes with White. He is one of my favorite professors at Stockton. He is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his field and job. He is also funny and manages to keep the two-hour-long classes interesting. Some of his classes require reading multiple books though, so that is overwhelming at times. Take him if you can!

I took him online and his instructions for the class and the grading criteria were very clear and he responded very quickly to emails.

Best CRIM prof at Stockton. Articles read & discussed every week. Be prepared to be called on to discuss your articles if people do not volunteer. A couple papers & 3 exams, cumulative. His lectures are amazing and you learn so much about different serial killers. 100% recommend

Best professor! Took his Serial and Mass Murder course this semester, and I am now taking two of his other courses because of how awesome he is. Information on exams is clear, and he helps to make light of the dark situations in this world.

Fantastic professor! He's very knowledgeable and overall a very nice person. I felt the class was pretty easy, make sure to take notes when people discuss articles as he likes to use those on the exams sometimes. He's very fair with his grading as well.

I absolutely LOVED Dr.White's lectures. He is so knowledgeable and has so many interesting stories from his experience in the field. You are only graded on 3 exams, 1 group project, and attendance. His exams can be challenging and you will be need to study for them. There are may opportunities for extra credit. Would take him again if I could!

Such an easy class. Only had to do a few article summaries and two presentations for the midterm and final. He is super knowledgeable. I liked how easy this class was, but the lectures were dry and very graphic (but that's expected for a forensic psych class).
