Prof. Williams was extremely helpful and was also very passionate about his job, which is hard to find now a days. Pretty much all of his exams are either open note/open book or take home and his final is a take home! TAKE HIS CLASS!!

The best Professor I have ever had. Extremely nice and understanding if you need help on anything he is more than helpful. Passionate about history and it shows in his teaching. Although, you have a lot of work it is not hard to earn an A! TAKE HIM! You will not regret it!

This is the best professor I have ever had. He is very helpful and interested in making sure you pass. Always available by email. You have to work hard, but if you do you quizzes, 2 reports, and take home essays for test you will be fine. Very inspirational. You will not regret!!!

He started the course with half take home (essay), half multiple choice questions, but switched to essay only when the class wasn't scoring high. Uses the book A LOT for take home quizzes. Gives points for attendance. All in all, a lot of writing for a summer course but he's knowledgeable & understanding. Take him for the fall/spring & hello A.

Professor Williams can be considered one of the top professors of his time. His teachings is rather exceptional, and his methods are what universities consider exquisite. Those who fail his class either decided not to show, or decided not to pay attention. Take his class and he will not fail you as a professor. Be smart, be diligent.

Professor William's is a good teacher. He is passionate for teaching and he truly wants his students to pass. He is very gracious when it comes to letting students turn work in late (don't take advantage), and that is because he wants you to get credit. He is very understanding. He's a great guy and his class isn't that hard, just lots of work.

Professor Williams is a wonderful professor! He knows what he is talking about and make you want to learn. He does give a lot of homework, but he helps you along the way and if you read you will be just fine. He takes his time to answer any and all questions you may have, take his class is you are not a history person, you may be after!

I have never liked history not one bit, but with this guy he made it interesting and talked about history in a way that all of the class could understand in the point of views of the people that were living during that time. I enjoyed his class and gained a lot from it. If I could I would take one of his classes again.

Williams is by far the best teacher. Tests are almost always essays but you'll most definitely be prepared to write when the time comes. His lectures are hilarious and include greatly satirical advice. I will most definitely be signing up for 1302 with Williams. (He should be hired full time. )

Taking history with Professor Williams was BY FAR my best college decision. His lectures are top-notch, his feedback is excellent, and he's there for you when you need him the most. When I requested to have some of my assignments graded early, he was all over it. Collin is making a big mistake not hiring him full-time! A++

Absolutely loved his class! He is very excited about History and does not have lectures that put you to sleep. He exceeds a students expectations of what an involved professor looks like and is always there to help! Do the work and you will get an A. Do not expect easy, you are college students!

Professor Williams is a fantastic teacher. He knows what he's talking about and keeps the class going; it's impossible to fall asleep in class due to how he teaches it. Obviously, it's not easy, but no worries because he's very clear on his lectures. Williams is also extremely helpful and has no problem assisting when you're having trouble.

He talks about History like a girl in high school talks about gossip. Making it a very interesting class.

His lectures were very engaging, he would always point out interesting facts about people and go into great detail about the events of topic. He always had a Power Point presentation which made it easier to take notes. He would always give you a study guide at the beginning of each chapter and would often help you to study for the unit test.

Professor Williams is a genuinely nice guy. His tests are really clear cut and he gives you ample time to study for them. I wouldn't call his class an easy A, but Its not a class where you have to devote your free time to study for it. I got a better understanding of history from his class and would recommend him to anyone! TAKE HIS CLASS!

An online quiz every weekend, Essay Exams, Two "Topic Papers" about 1,000 words each, and an essay final. Each exam you must answer 2 questions from each chapter in the unit... He says they are short answer but you end up writing almost a page per question (handwritten). Not an easy class, you work for your grade, but he is very helpful.

If life happens, he'll work with you. Just do the work and you'll be fine

Professor William's teaching style is easy to follow and very entertaining. His power point presentations are thorough and help put a face to the historical figure as hes giving his lecture. He's easy going and understanding; if youre a little behind let him know, he'll work with you. Research can be challenging but rewarding. Highly recommend!

In order to get a good grade you have to read, but he is a fair grader. He is easy to talk to and understands if you need help. He is always willing to help in anyway possible. Although there is a bit of work involved in his class, if you just read and turn things in you will pass! All of the test are take home and quizzes are always easy!

Prof. Williams was an AMAZING professor to take for Hist 1302. He made me question my STEM based major. He truly is passionate about history, and I feel that makes it so much easier to learn. I had this professor for two semesters and I really enjoyed his classes. Professor Williams is a very interesting person. I highly recommend his class. I would consider this class easy as long as you put in the work. He relates the subject into real life lessons and his experience in the past.

This professor is very knowledgeable and helpful. He is there to help you learn, not cash a pay check. This course is not a cake walk you will have to pay attention and study. Williams will do everything he can within reason to get you across the line. All told, he makes the the class and information conveyed interesting and thought provoking.

Professor Williams is a down to earth guy! His tests were take home, essay questions. Yes, it was a lot of writing but I knew exactly what to expect. His instructions are clear so I had little stress about tests. Professor Williams emphasis on writing out the answers to his essay questions allowed me to learn the material deeply & retain it.

After the midterm I was so mad with him! The midterm was nothing like his ppts. If I were u, I would take notes, read the book and do the review. Review helps a little with qz and test but it can be extra credit. Expect changes on due dates and tests. Qz are weekly. Overall good teacher with a huge heart! Passion for the subject.

This professor loves what he teaches and it shows. He goes to great lengths to make his class relative and informative. Professor Williams wants his students to be successful and have fun doing it. Exams are part multiple choice and essay. Quizzes are all online. Papers are topics related to the course and come with a rubric.

You will have to prepare for the exams, but if you do your best there is no reason why you shouldn't get an A or B. Tests are MC and essay, and final is a paper!

The beginning few weeks of class was rough because the chapter quizzes mainly derived from the lectures instead of the assigned history book. However, the revised chapter quizzes a few weeks after were balanced and came from both the lecture and book. Allows you to use notes on quizzes. He provides several opportunities for extra credit.

This is my second time taking 1301. I never liked history, but Professor Williams has helped open my mind to new horizons. I really look forward to class now and don't dread the work. My favorite professor that I've had so far. It's tough to make night classes exciting, but Professor Williams managed to make it great. His lectures are very entertaining. Professor Williams is, by far, one of the best history professors that I've ever taken. From the first day to the last, he always finds a way to influence his students to the wonders of history. You HAVE to read, or you'll fail miserably, but his lectures are entertaining and he's really nice. Very understanding of problems outside of class, and is willing to adjust due dates for you. Quizzes every Monday over a chapter.

I had never been good at history and his class completely changed me...I took his 1301 class first and I just finished with his 1302 class and I got an A in both! He offers extra credit so you always have a chance to improve your grade!! I strongly recommend taking both 1301 and 1302 with him!!!

This is an easy A class, I took it as a summer course, and he just wants you to do well. He offers lots of extra credit. Half of the quizzes were take home quizzes, and he lets you see the essay questions and take them home to look at before the test. Every quiz and test was open notes. Always lets class out early. Super nice and understanding.

Very nice guy. Grades for attendance. No homework just a weekly quiz over chapter vocab and people (a lot of them you can take home). 3 tests of multiple choice and essay questions that you can see and study before hand. Final is a take home 4 essay questions. One term paper, 1300 words. If you show up and do the work you should get a B minimum.

There is a 'matching' type of quiz at the beginning of class once a week and 3 essay style tests which I personally found easier to get a good grade with verses multiple choice tests. But, Showing up to every class is super important unless you notify him in advance.. or your grade will suffer

Pro Williams is a bomb!! Quizzes and tests are easy. He gives a lot of extra credit as well. He makes history easier and more interesting. Even though I am a foreigner, he makes me love american history

I took his summer class and let me tell you he made it enjoyable. If you love to learn and are truly interested in the type of world we live in today and where it all started, this man will teach you everything you need to know. He's a very knowledgeable, like able guy. Just take his class, you'll wish he was your history teacher again.

Professor Williams is extremely knowledgeable. His class isn't terribly difficult as well. Personally, it was a little challenging to take notes with his specific teaching style, but reading the textbook and a little bit of online research did me well.

Quizzes every week but theyre not hard, everything is directly from his lectures and partially from the book. His lectures are actually and interesting and hes quite funny. I am considering taking 1302 with him because this has been the best history professor Ive prolly ever had

Professor Williams tells you day one that your success in his class valued. He expects you to show up, take good notes, and pay attention. There are weekly quizzes over the lecture, reading, and notes taken. They are not hard if you pay attention. His exams are all open notes. Williams clearly loves being a professor and being at Collin.

He's such a down-to-earth guy. He wants you to make an A. He'll even extend deadlines for you. All his quizzes and exams are open-note. If you're above average at history like me, all you really need to do is take good notes in class and not at home. He posts the exam questions a week before the exam so there are no surprises when you take them.

I took Professor Williams for History 1301! He was an amazing professor! He made everything easy! He helped me out with any questions I had! Tests are easy as can be. Essay form tests but you have plenty of time to prepare! And he will help you go over the essays prior to submitting them on day of exam! I already signed up for history 1302 with him

Professor Williams was fantastic! Sometimes he wasn't very clear on his expectations, but always responded quickly through email! He gave lots of homework but also lots of opportunities for my class to get our grade up. His lectures are funny and interesting and I'm grateful he will be returning to teach History 1302!

I have mixed feelings. Williams is passionate about history and really cares for his students. Quizzes are open book and he makes videos on how to answer the essay tests! Real easy, for the most part... Quizzes are also confusing and poorly written and his discussions are MASSIVE (500-1000 words) I write more for this class than English.

I love Professor Williams! I returned for 1302 and he is hands down my favorite professor so far!! He is so passionate about history and I love his lectures. Lots of people complain about his quizzes, but as long as you read the chapter and take good notes, you'll be fine. Put the effort in and you'll make an A. This man definitely needs a raise!!

Makes class a lot of fun and expects it to be a discussion. Read the textbook chapters, especially since sometimes the lectures can get a little sidetracked.... Graded on the exams (with one long answer question per unit/chapter) and short quizzes (multiple choice and take home for us) I'd take him again!
