One of if not the best teacher in the school he mad everyone so involved in the class that 98% of the students got good grades but he is not easy But you learn sooo much from him plus even after the semester he remembers you thets something special

The absolute best teacher at CCM!! His class was one of my favorties. Although the work was sometimes hard his class lectures were clear and intresting. His class alone made me consider possible a major in psychology.

Williford is the man. Had him for gen psych and cross cultural, his classes are alot of work. do it and you'll get an A. highly reccommend him

I went to County about ten years ago and I still remember him as one of the best professors I've ever had!

I took his gen psych class. He's great!

He is definately one of the best professors I've ever had. CCM is lucky to have a teacher like him on staff.

Williford is a great teacher, and a great man. His class is tough, but with him teaching the material, it is much better. Easy to talk to and get along with. Definately one of the best at CCM!

Williford is another example of " the world's best professor!" He class is difficult, but he was a very nice and very understanding man. I encourage anyone to take his class!

He is an interesting teacher and has good teaching methods and he is very knowledgable. His tests are impossible. Do the homework and projects and you'll be fine.

He really turned me onto Psych. His stories were interesting, and he was extremely knowledgable. He also is really good guy to know.

All you do is have discussions. Great fun and very interesting. You have to read some book about Irish women's struggles, but its easy. Often have ppl bring in food from their cultures. Write 2 papers, but one of them everybody gets an A on as long as you do it. Highly reccommended.

Good professor,always knows what he's talking about.He makes sure that you know it too.Sometimes he can be a little difficult to follow and doesn't always review for tests.Tests are pretty straight forward,just take notes and read the chapters and you'll be fine.

This guy is awesome. hes my favorite teacher in CCM. His lectures are so interesting its almost hard to not listen. His tests are very difficult. Also, he goes by the rule book and is brilliant so dont try to pull a fast one on him (like a b.s. reason why you didnt hand in the project). if you just show up he'll prob automatically give you a C.

this guy will bow ur mind. he makes sure u understand everything thats goin on and likes to hear any opinion bout the topic

If your interested in psych he is the prof. to get. you will learn more than you thought when you take his class.

A fine example of another great person who is teaching at CCM. Not only is he an extremely knowledgeable professor, but he is a compassionate man. Take his classes! I graduated back in the day and I still remember things he said to this day.

THis professor is very intresting and fun he opens up your mind and takes you farther then you knew you could go take his cross cultral class... he gives you food

Great professor. Do not even attend this school, but took him during the Summer. Such interesting stories. Difficult exams, but study and you will do just fine. Would sign up again in a second, I loved it !

Great teacher, he tells stories from his Psych. Practice which can be hilarious and informative. He tries hard to engage the class in discussions, his oral reports are very casual, everyone remains seated including the speaker. He has an interesting perspective as a Black guy who grew up in the south which he also shares. Highly Reccomended!

Great lecturer...classes are always interesing. However, you do need to do some studying on your own in order to do well.

Awsome teacher, great person too! This prof. cares about each and evryone of his students. He expects you to complete each assignment but is generous with grading. Most students at county have to take psy 101, you should def. take it with him!!!!!!!

Great professor! He made the class very interesting. There was a lot of discussion and it was very laid back. There were 2 papers with presentations, but they were pretty interesting and as the other post said, he lets you present sitting down, so it's not so scary. I would definitely recommend taking him.

He was a great professor! He kept class interesting and told funny stories. I learned a lot from his class. You have to study a bit to get a good grade. I am even taking him this semester again for cross cultural psychology!

Not all he's cracked up. Tests are very hard and all the questions come from the book, basically making the lectures a waste of time (even though they are fun and interesting). Take him if you want a fun class but be prepared to work pretty hard, especialyl when it comes to tests.

I LOVED Professor Williford's class. His lectures are very, very interesting and will keep your attention. His tests are easy if you study, but if you haven't opened up the book.. don't expect to pass. You definetley earn your grade by the amount of effort you put into his class. I strongly suggest taking him!

I took his general physch class last semester and i can say i def. miss this man. Greatest teacher i have ever taken really made a deep impact on my thought process and has great stories. Must study 3 hours per test read for quizzes and pay attention. Papers are not hard FOLLOW DIRECTIONS!!! TAKE THIS CLASS!!!!

I absolutely adored Prof. Williford. I am currently taking him now and I think he is a very intelligent teacher. Although he is extremely hard with tests and assignments, he is very insightful. I would recommend this class to good and diligent workers, definitely not for slackers.

I have this professor for my gen. psych class. I have to say that in the beginning, the quizzes he gives out every class is very frustrating. As you go on you will catch the motion of the class, and it will get better. He is extremely helpful; if you are stuck somewhere in his class, i suggest you go talk to him. Otherwise tough class, good teacher

He is easily my favorite professor. More than willing to work with students who are having trouble. Quizzes keep you focused on the work and provide a great benchmark. Wish I could take more classes that he taught.

this professor is phenomenal. his tests are a challenge but he provided a verbal outline.. you will need to study it over and over and over. i would take another class with him in a heartbeat.

The most influential prof Ive ever had. My first psych class 3 semesters ago, and i still email him and meet with him each semester to just chat. A really outside the box thinker with extraordinary views and perspectives. "Walk with me." as he would say. His class def left you thinking/considering. TAKE HIM!!! He will change your outlook on life!

This professor is hard if you are not with the lectures every week. once you miss a class it is hard to get back into the lectures with everyone else. he is a very helpful professor. he encorporates life issues with the lessons. get ready to take a hard exam and very little tests along the way.

He's gotta be one of the best professors I've ever had! But he gives notes by talking, and its really hard to keep up. Some times he is loud and clear, but then he gets so quiet its very hard to hear him. He's very nice very funny and very helpful. I wanna take his class again! just for fun.

He is very funny. "Are you with me?" "OMG." "How many of you are following me?" These are his many phrases. He is a great prof but this class is extremely hard and very stressful.

Had him for Cross-Cultural Psych. And let me say: Never have I had one teacher affect me in such a way. I've never had a professor challenge me to think in such way. Not just a learning environment, but an eye-opening, mind-expanding experience. I felt my classmates didn't appreciate such a brilliant mind willing to share his knowledge and wisdom.

Best Professor at CCM. His lectures are always interesting, full of stories and real life experiance. His test can be difficult, but if you study from the book you should do fine (look at the chapter questions in the book). Can't wait to take him for Cross Cultural psych, even if it is in the summer

Professor Williford is an extremely brilliant man. He taught me more than any teacher or professor I have ever had before. I took him for all his classes offered at CCM and I wish he taught more. He will move you by the way that he speaks about his passion. I HIGHLY recommend him for anyone because you WILL love him and love going to his class.

He is a very awesome professor! tells the best stories and is always joking around. The class is never a bore and he is very nice BUT his tests are very very hard! he expects you to know literally everything in the chapters you're being tested on. His projects are all oral which sucks in a class with 80 students. he just expects too much of you :/

Most amazing teacher. Extremely funny and outgoing. Makes the class fun! Uses real life experience in his lectures. Trust me you won't be bored at all. Usually kids use there cell phones during class, he makes class so interesting you won't touch your phone once. His tests are a little hard but if you read the book you'll be fine.

Great, personable and relaxed professor. I took this course in the summer and Prof Williford made it very easy to approach and understand. The tests AREN'T difficult if you read the chapter he assigns and you study! You will learn ALOT from this class. I got an A!

im a bit of a shy student so i don't think he liked me but i loved his lectures! Our class had some really great discussions and he had such an open mind. I loved hearing his stories from his childhood and the books he incorporated in the class were great reads.

The kind of person you really want to get to know, and he would love to get to know his students. Extremely engaging and even mind-blowing lectures. Should be teaching at an ivy league.

I am a Psychology major and I ABSOLUTELY love this professor, he is very funny and if you do your reading, takes good notes from his lectures and you pay attention, you will pass this class without a doubt. He does take forever to answer back on emails but you just have to keep insisting on him. He does help a lot when you ask him for the help.

I had him for general psych for the fall 2014 semester. He's amazing. For an 8am class, I was always awake. I'm not going to lie, that class was pretty tough. Listen to me when I say DO THE READINGS. They will save you from serious hair pulling and pulling all nighters during exams. Learn from my mistakes. Good luck.

The nicest professor you will meet. It's a hard class but if you pay enough attention you will do fine. Gives amazing lectures and keeps you interested. I sleep in a lot of classes but for his I stayed awake. Not much hw and a few tests but all multiple choice . Easy grader. Would take his class again in a heart beat.

He is my favorite professor at CCM, and this is my 3rd year there. He's always willing to meet (during his office hours), and is understanding when you have other things going on. Only thing is DONT skip class, especially if he knows who you are. He's good with faces. He tells ALOT of relatable stories during his lectures. Very personable.

If I could I would not take any other professor! Professor Williford is absolutely amazing and I wish that he taught every psych class. He is 100% there for you as long as you show that you want to do well in his class. He is very clear on what he expects from you and make sure you study the whole semester and PAY ATTENTION!

Professor Williford is the man. Always smiling and in a shining mood. I'm literally laughing throughout his lectures. If you really want to learn the material, he's your man BUT his class is not easy. Exams are multiple choice but cover so much material it can be overwhelming. But an inspirational professor because he loves to teach so much.

I really learned in his class. The quiz are easy if you read his material. I took a 2 hours class a week and he makes the class very funny and interesting.

he didn't actually teach very much. the tests were all opinion based. easy class. he is a great guy and cares about everyone passing. there was 1 research paper that was also very easy. tests are blue-book. i would absolutely recommend him to anyone interested in a psychology course. gives great guidance and relates lectures to real life issues.

I've had trouble in the past with Psych classes but Williford is a great professor! His stories are hilarious and he doesn't throw information at you. He actually teaches and encourages everyone to participate. He values what you think and, as a quiet student, I was actually participating. A lot of reading but he goes over the material clearly.

Professor Williford is so awesome, I would consider him to be one of top professors at CCM. He gives high quality lectures with some humor thrown into the mix. Just make sure to take good notes and read the book because his exams are quite tough especially if you dont study well. But he is fair and wants everyone to succeed. Please take him.

Professor Williford is the funniest and all around best professor I have ever had, even coming from a four year institute. Every class I attended for his Cross Cultural Psychology course was interesting. He makes learning fun, and he helps you to get to know each student in his class on a first name basis. 10/10 human being. Would take again!

One of the best professors at CCM. I took him for 3 classes, and the only one that was difficult was General Psychology. Cross cultural psych and community mental health were show up & pass. Really cares about students, lectures are enthralling, and you learn a lot. Hardly ever responds to emails though.

I took him once and I am in another class of his right now! If you have a chance to get into one of his classes you have to do it!

Professor Williford is a sweet, kind, and funny professor. Although some of the content of his lectures can be monotonous, he works very hard to keep his students engaged. A lot of memorization. He takes forever to get tests and papers back, and his grading criteria is unclear. Hes a nice and caring man, however; a little frustrating at times.

He is the best professor at ccm. he doesn't focus on test. He focuses on you participating in his class. he wants to know what you are learning in class. he is honest and real. Speaking and giving your own opinions on topics is so fascinating to him. We also did projects and papers.

He is the best! I took him for general PSY 113 in the summer! He truly wanted everyone to have a good time during the summer and learn, just without the stress! Yes, he can be slow at replying to your emails, but he made sure to answer all of your questions on zoom. Very straight forward, interesting lectures, keeps everyone up at 8am lol.

Professor Williford was an important professor to take. He shares meaningful experiences academically, has insightful lectures, and is an inspirational person to take a class from. Some of his teaching information seems somewhat old-fashioned, but he makes up for it by truly caring about his students.

I had taken 2 classes with professor Williford. He is amazing as a human and professor. Gives extra time if needed, he does not believe in tests. There are many assignments all given in the syllabus, and he has issues taking too much time grading. But if you do all the work, you already passed. He has so much to talk about, truly inspirational.

Great professor! Although he is hard to get a hold of via email, he is easily accessible after class for as long as you need. He is also super understanding when it comes to assignments, whether you need an extension or somethings late, he doesn't knock off any points. His classes also have no tests or quizzes, but he does have a mandatory paper.

AMAZING! Engaging lectures and always wants to hear students. Truly cares about all of his students. No exams or quizzes. Felt more like a mentor than professor. If you have extra space in your schedule take him even if you do not need the credit. Very helpful and gives good feedback!

Professor Williford is engaging and wants students to succeed. The class can be challenging, but participating and using resources like the free textbook and unstuckstudy make it manageable. Overall, it's an interesting course with a professor who is genuinely invested in helping students learn.

The class is like a group therapy session. You learn through shared experiences. Grades are based on weekly reflection papers and one final research paper with a presentation. He gives no feedback on grades, and you won't know your grade till they are posted. No blackboard. He's caring, tells good stories and knows how to get students engaged.

Fairly ambiguous assignments but as long as you attend class and participate in discussions you should do fine. Dude has fairly interesting stories and loves talking to students during office hours. Most of the class grade was on an oral presentation (more like discussion amongst peers) and a 4 source annotated bibliography about a chosen topic.

In particular, the way he delivered the material—combining truly deep insights with his characteristic light teasing—made the content stick and kept the entire class environment dynamic. It was clear how passionate he is about psychology, and that passion was infectious. I would love to take other psych classes with him as my professor.
