Such a great great teacher and pretty easy. I took him last semester and he just makes you want to be in the class. He's fun and entertaining. This is my second time taking him and I will be taking him again next semester. TAKE HIM FOR PHILOSOPHY!!!

What an awesome teacher, I feel as though he truly understands what students go through on a daily basis. He wants to help - he is so easy to talk to, such a great man. Honestly- do anything you can to take him!

he a cool guy but it really depends on the group your in - do not expect to get an A in any of his classes b/c he tells you from the beginning that getting an A is almost impossible- his 2 tests are not hard though, he's a tough grader

Good teacher.Two tests both are group work.Hard grader so be clear on what he wants.Pick your group wisely otherwise your grade will suffer.Makes fear of talking in public disappear.Calls on you for your opinions.Somewhat scary but you'll get over it.

his 110 class is pretty straight forward, and relies on groupwork, i recomend taking one of his other classes. hes one of the best the school has to offer.

Be aware that if you do not participate in class a lot, your grade will be effected, so dont take this class if you are shy. Also, projects are group, and everyone gets the same grade..pick a good group! Class wasnt bad, but grading sucked!

Lecture's could be boring, due mostly to my own lack of interest, but prof. stresses critical thinking and participation. Puts everything into perspective using current examples. Tough grader on papers, but it is a college level course, this is to be expected!

Absolutely one of Molloy's best professors. Engaging and thought-provoking, he is one of the most interesting and intelligent people I have ever met. He expects a lot from his students in terms of papers and class participation, but you are better for it. If you do your part, he'll do his and your grade will reflect it.

Take Yoga as your PED requirement. He's such a great professor. He's totally into yoga and he makes you want to learn it. Very interesting and a great class. If I could take it again I would!

Extremely hard grader, DO NOT TAKE HIM. Do not follow his prompts, there vague and incomplete. He will give you a bad Grade. Don't even try to ask for help, he will not help you once your paper is grade. If you want to work extremely hard and get a B at best then take him.

I was hearing great things about him, so I took his class. apparently i do not see it. he makes you think the class will be enjoyable and easy as long as you listen hard and do your work. but, in the end you will get a nice surprise and see nothing better than a B as a final grade. point is, even A students cant get better than a, B.

He is a really good teacher. But it is true wat the say about him... he doesnt give any of his students an A... but if u wanna learn life lessons he is the professor for it.. i loved him... and one more thing he is a hard grader... your grade is based on 2 essays n trust its not easy to get even a C...

One of the best teachers Molloy has! The comments about not getting an "A "is BS. I got an "A" and it wasnt hard. Your in college to work not sit back and be given an "A". You have to do the paper and thats it. He is supper helpful with the papers as well. If you ask him he will read it before its due so you can correct it. Take him, its worth it

Took him twice, and will again. extremely amazing makes you think, really teaches you and gets to know you. helps out in everyway he can! he will go over information with you until you get it. makes you work for your grade but its well worth it. class flys by, very funny and knows what he is talkng about. best teacher at molloy, love him! recommend

He was and okay professor not as great as everyone put him to be. The way he graded his papers was just ridiculous that was my only problem with him. Overall, he was good but I would not take him again to be honest.

It was an interesting class.... but if grades mean anything, think about taking something else. ALOT of work, and his grading is beyond difficult. You will work your butt off and be lucky to get a B or B-. I won't make this mistake again.

loved every second of this class, he keeps the class engaged in thought provoking conversations, however if you want your gpa to stay up do not even think about taking this class! i honestly learned alot in this class but wow he's a tough grader! i must say it has been one of the best classes ive ever taken, the only bad thing is the grading =/

He is probably the best teacher I will ever have. You take a small amount of notes in the class, but his lessons really stick to your brain. Philosophy is already an interesting class and Dr. Yanovitch does an amazing job to prove it. He is a tough grader though, tough but fair, I'd say. He really opens your mind

He was so great! Really clear and easy. He didn't make my 4 hr core class a bore at all. I am now going to take him in the fall. Btw- no tests or quizzes. One long paper but it's reflective so not a big deal at all. Also had to memorize a sonnet which was kind of hard but he helped you if you messed up.

Yanovitch is truly amazing! Def take his Existentialism class as a Core class over anything else. Although the weekly 2-3 page papers can get annoying, they're not bad at all. We watched a movie every week and those movies+the papers really help you learn a lot about yourself! Oh there was also a 6 page final paper so the work load is not bad:)

Take Yanovitch's Yoga class! It's so relaxing and def a guaranteed A as long as you miss no more than one class and do the final paper. He also allows anyone to come to his class. So even if you're not enrolled in the class..or school haha you can do Yoga with Yanovitch:D

Dr. Yanovitch is THE BEST. He's an amazing professor and this class is very interesting. Only two grades- a presentation and a paper at the end of the semester. Hilarious and very compassionate man. Take him any chance you get!

I've taken him 4 times and over all he is a great professor. My advice to you is finish your paper a little earlier and give it to him to correct. Makes a BIG difference. Trust me. He is picky and a hard grader but will go over it for you before it is due. There are no tests. Just the paper and attendance. He is a great teacher and encourages discu

It was painful going to this class.....if you're taking this as a "gen ed" don't with him. Theres one giant paper at the end of it all (10-15pages) so its your only grade. if u care about your cumulative just don't bother with him. He's a nazi with grading. I really didn't care for him idk why people make him out to be great..

Basically two components to grade: presentation and final paper. Hand in paper early so he can offer corrections bc he takes off points meticulously for little things. Participation can help class discussion stay interesting but was not mandatory. Attendance looked at very importantly so don't miss class. Discussions always thought provoking.

Dr. Yanovitch is a great man and very caring. He will help you if you show interest. He's a stickler with unexcused absences. Usually only two grades: paper and a presentation. If you show your true greatest effort he will usually help you with your grade. I recommend him for anything, I've have him twice! Love Yanovitch!

This was the second time I took Dr. Yanovitch and he is absolutely amazing. His dharma talks really open up your mind to a whole new way of thinking. If you want to become a better human being I highly suggest taking a class with him! No tests, no quizzes, no homework, no final! Just one 5 page paper due the last day! 100% take a class with him!!

Dr. Yanovitch is a very nice professor. However I would NOT recommend taking him for core. He assigns 3 page papers each week based on a movie you watch in class, my class was from 630-1030PM- we almost never got out early! He is extremely strict with attendance, 2 absences and you get an A- or B+. Attendance counts more than the papers do!

He lectures for the entire class but he makes the subject extremely interesting and loves to crack jokes. Beware that he chooses people at random to speak and answer questions. Occasionally he tells us to read the textbook but it is not necessary to read to pass. He only gives a midterm and final which are both take home papers. Very tough grader!

I have a very hard time sitting in a class that is mostly lectures. He writes on the board but nothing on canvas. He lets you have a group of 4 people to take the final and midterm with.( both take home test) He makes it fun and keeps the room alive. you don't have to participate if you are nervous. I had a hard time but he passed me.

This is the type of class that changes you as a person. By far, he is the most brilliant human being I have ever come across. Yes you work hard, but its so interesting that it doesn't feel like work! 1000000% recommend taking his class. I GUARANTEE it will change you as a person.

By far one of my favorite professor's I've had as a freshman. He is VERY passionate about each and every topic he discusses in class and really get's you thinking. It's very hard to get an A in the class but overall you should don alright. I'd 101% recommend taking him.

he is a great guys overall.. he gives four papers over the semester two worth 10 points towards your midterm and final grade... while he is a great guy he a very tough grader.. you have to try in order to do good in his class.. he rarely gives out a's but will give it to you if you deserve it. if you work hard you will get that shown in your grade.

Dr Yanovitch is probably the most impactful and interesting professor I've had at Molloy. His wisdom and deep rooted understanding of people and life makes his classes can't miss events. The only thing he asks is that you truly pay attention and allow for the teachings to resonate within you. Not much to ask from anyone. Hes a true gem

Dr. Yanovitch is a wonderful professor, he is kind and caring. However, he is a harsh grader when it comes to the midterm and final, he will take points off left and right that will bring down your grade tremendously. If you are looking for an easy A do NOT take him.

Dr. Yanovitch "experimented" with our class, he assigned into groups of five of his choice. He assigned 2 mini pig papers that were worth 10 points each that we had to do alone and a final that was worth 80 points of your grade that was supposed to be done in your groups. So basically your grade depends on 4 other people. VERY HARD GRADER!

Dr. Yanovitch is an overall nice intelligent professor. However, I found him to be very unreasonable and I wish I didnt take his class. He allows ONE absence, anything more than that he will penalize you for, harshly. Most professors allow 3 absences. I got a C in this class and im a straight A student. Very unrealistic to allow one absence.

Dr. Yanovitch is an amazing professor and I recommend him if youre looking for a great experience or have an interest for philosophy. However, if youre looking for an easy A, this is not the class for you. If you like writing and thinking outside the box, you will love this class without a doubt!

Dr. Yanovitch pretends to be all nice and on your side. He literally gave us 2 insanely easy mini essays that he basically gave everyone a 10/10 on. Than, in your groups, he assigns an essay final worth 80 points!! Im a straight A honor student who showed up to every class and he gave me a C. Really upset.

Dr Yanovitch is a great Professor. Hes very passionate and is brilliant. You can only miss one class without penalty. Otherwise hell lower your grade half a letter grade. He offers only one opportunity for a grade which is the final paper. I think thats fair considering he doesnt give a midterm or final. Show up to class listen and participate

the worst professor molloy has. hes a nice guy but gave our class an 80% group final that he graded unfairly, took points off for no reason. if you miss more than one class he takes 5pts off your grade. it was a 100 course no reason for it to be that difficult

Professor Yanovitch is my favorite professor ever. Yes you need to show up to class. Participation is key. But he is very knowledgable and inspiring. For ethics he allowed us to teach each other which i never experienced ever in a college class. I will highly recommend taking him for Ethics and anything else.

HE IS AMAZING i don't understand the negative reviews! he is so sweet genuine and wise! The only downfall is that your grade depends on only two things a two lecture long presentation and a end of the year paper. but he is a fair grader try and you will pass. no tests or quizzes. he inspires amazing thoughtful conversation in the classroom. take it

He sparks such good conversations. Overall an amazing prof but your grade is only based off of a two lecture presentation and a final paper. The presentation is easier than you think but the final paper is graded harsher. Cares about his students and will definitely help if you need anything. You can voice your opinion on anything in this class
