Really nice guy, but lectures are often confusing.

Very good instructor! Takes the time to explain everything very well. Has lots of experience in the real world and is a CPA. I would recommend him! Very fair too!

He is an awesome teacher. He wants all of his students to do well in his class. He knows what he is talking about. If you ever have questions about assignments, you are always able to call him and he is always willing to meet with you out of class so that you can get the best grade possible. :)

Such a wonderful and helpful guy, will really go out of his way to help you. I suggest asking questions because this class was hard as heck for me. If you don't grasp math well then good luck on accounting.

There are not too many professors like Mr.Yuill. As a matter of fact I have never had a teacher go out of their way as much as he has to make sure everone does well in the class. One of the best teachers I have ever had and a truely genuine man. Highly recommended!!!

Mr. Yuill was very helpful. He explained things throughly and was very open to any questions you needed tp ask. He always encourage students to do their best and woudl go the extra step to help. He made himself available all the time when we needed to call him for help. I would highly recommend Mr. Yuill to take in whatever subject he teaches.

I enjoyed having Mr. Yuill for my accoutint professor. I didn't think that I was going to make it though, but because he was so helpful and patience I got a very clear understanding of the class and was glad I took it. Thank you Mr. Yuill for everything.

This teacher is great, even if you haven't taken the intro to accounting, which I highly recommend. He helps you completely by giving you E.C. opportunities, by giving you problems just like the exams, for the practice set, he is available by e-mail or phone up late. He is one of the few teachers at Delta who takes the effort to help students.

He is an awesome teacher! He will help you anytime you need it for as long as you need! I took Accounting 211 with him and when I took Accounting 212 with a different teacher, I still was on the phone with him and he STILL HELPED even though he wasnt my current teacher! Most dedicated teacher to his students at delta.

Great guy. He may seem a little odd at first but he is awsome. He is extremly helpfull. When he says that he is availabe for help he really means it. Great teachr i'm taking him for all of my accounting classes. I highly recomend.

I have never had a teacher more willing to help their students as John. Anytime you needed to call he was available. He gave us home, cell and email address as ways to get ahold of him. He thourghly explained everything, making sure you understood. I would gladly take any of his classes again.

Mr John is awsome. His lecture was clear and too the point. He makes sure everyone is on the right page before he goes on. There is no reason why you can't get an A. Mr John makes class interesting and he always made himself available outside of the classroom hours. Thanks John; you made accounting class enjoyable... : )

Not to bad. If you are not good at tests don't take him. No mandatory homework in a class that should have it. He likes to put trick questions on tests as well (as is accounting isnt hard enough)Mr Yuill does grade fair and is always available, always.

Great teach who helps you out when you need it. I farted a few times in class but he taught right through it.He will help you do on alot on the huge comprehensive problem. Needs to assign homework in every Accounting class because we shouldnt be graded on just test. I do not enjoy accounting and still dont but I have to so I can graduate.

John Yuill is one of the best teachers I have had a delta. He gives his students the best chances for success. He offers the most help of any teacher I have had. I learned a lot and enjoyed the class.

Mr. Yuill has a very easy manner. He is very helpful and has a relaxed teaching method. He gives many examples and gives many practice assignments so you learn accounting, you don't just memorize it for the test. I would definitely recommend him as an instructor.

Mr. Yuill was awesome!! Possibly the most helpful teacher ever. No matter what the question or how stupid it was, he would explain in great detail. He would also go over concepts until everyone in class understood.

He was available day or night and if you were struggling there was no reason for it because he was there until you understood and never made you feel bad for not understanding. Very easy to get a long with and I hope to get him for another accounting class. I recommend him highly.

Great instructor, always available, no reason not to get a good grade in the class, if you attend the class, take notes and ask for help. would take him again if he would teach higher levels.. please, highly recommend

I enjoyed Mr. Yuill's class. Its been 10 years since I taken an accounting class. His teaching method made it easy to re-learn again. He tells you exactly what he expects. The test were straight forward and challenged you to apply the concepts learned in class.

John is a great teacher and always available by e mail...if you are doing homework at 11:00 pm, it is likely that he is online if you need help.

Great teacher. Easy to talk to always there to answer questions. Answers e-mails very promtly. If you have no prior knowledge of accounting then he's your guy I highly reccommend him.

I had a good experience in this class, Barely ever any homework and you have tests pretty often. There is a pretty big project that you have to do, it's not that hard, just takes quite a bit of time. The teacher was funny. He was also very nice and helpful.

Great Class, Was a lot of work but he was great at explaining the work and had fast response on e-mail whenever you needed help. He made you understand the work that was given. Need to attend everyday to understand the work. Great teacher highly recommended

John is a great professor. He really cares about his students and makes sure they enjoy the class as much as possible and goes out of his way to make himself available to his students. No homework, one practice set which is equal to one exam score, exams are not hard if you study for them and attend class, also offers extra credit. Take him!

GREAT PROF! He really goes above and beyond to help students. Tests are fairly easy, just make sure you study somewhat. He doesn't make you do all the Wiley assignments like I've heard the other teachers do. Provides EC. TAKE HIM! : )

John took a very boaring subject and made it easy to understand and as enjoyable as possible. He told us everthing that would be on the tests and was clear on how he graded all work. I would highly reccomend him.

John is an exceptional teacher that exceeds expectations. He responds almost instantly to an email. Any questions that arise are immediately made translucent. He is, by far, a recommendation in my opinion. Having some fear about accounting when pursuing my degree, I put it off but John made that class simple with his explanations and notes.

A miracle worker! I not only passed the class--I actually LEARNED the material and I am SOOOOOO not a math person. He was great: patient, helpful, encouraging, made himself available for extra help, never made anyone feel foolish when they made mistakes--he is an excellent teacher!!!

John was honestly the best teacher I have ever had. I am not an accounting major so my interest wasn't that great. It was alittle confusing but I ended up with an A in the class because of how much he was! There was never much homework although he gave problems to help on the test. No Final! I would defintely reccomend him as a teacher!

Practice Set Very Helpful

John is a great professor! I had no interest in accounting at all and was worried about passing, however John goes above and beyond to help his students. Even after you are finished with his class. If you still have accounting classes you can still call him for help.

John is an awesome professor!! Prior to his class I had taken accounting 111 and did not pass with the graded I needed so I was a little hesitant about taking this class but he made it easy and fun! He tells you exactly what will be on the tests and as long as you listen and take notes you should hsve no issues passing!! Best Professor I've had:-)

John mentioned he was not rated "hot" on this website, and actually asked the class to rate him. Therefore, I had to check it =P haha. I hate accounting, but John made it easier to learn and not so confusing. Go to class, take good notes, and listen to the hints. No graded homework and does NOT drop lowest test score.

John was a fantastic professor! Very helpful and knows the material like the back of his hand. If you have struggled in this field, I highly recommend giving it a go with ole' John. Can't say enough about the guy.

John is one of the most helpful professors i have ever met, he sits outside of the classroom before class just in case someone has a question and stays after class for the same reason. His grading system consist of all mostly tests which i personally didnt like but if i had any questions i know i could of counted on him. Also he answers emails FAST

Class was good, great teacher. Explains material well. Willing to help anytime. The only con I could think of was it seems he tries to trick you with words on the tests. Would definitely take another of his classes.

Pretty easy. doesnt assign homework. if you show up for class and do the few recommended problems youll do fine. I only ready first 2 chapters of the book. Great guy and will anwer any questions you have. I WOULD RECOMMEND!

This instructor make leaning very easy and the subject easy to understand. I was not a numbers person until this class and now I am. ACC111 with him is a blast and interesting.

I was dreading this class, but once i got there he helped me understand the material. he was a wonderful teacher and it was a hard class, but he has a way of teaching that makes it easier to understand!

Great Teacher. Only one peice of homework given out all semester and he basically gaurentees an "A" on it. Available for help or questions almost anytime day or night. If you are taking ACC 111 Take John Yuill!!!!! GREAT GUY!!!

John was so amazing! I had him for 111 and 211. He is such a helpful person that will be there to help you morning noon and night! Test are a little tricky, but overall the calss gave me a better understanding of accounting! Just attend class, study and he will try his best to get you where you need to be! Take John!!!

John was a great teacher. His experience as a CPA helped greatly when learning the material. Just take notes and you should have no problem with the tests. No homework!!! 2 EASY assignments are given. Do them and get automatic A's. Take John!

He will take all the time you want with him. Probably the best teacher I have had at (my 5 semesters at)Delta. Show up every day, take notes, and listen. If you UNDERSTAND THE SHEET OF PROBLEMS you will know everything on the test.

Thought this class was very interesting. John was very knowledgeable about the material in the class, and portrayed it well.

If you didn't understand something, he would take the time to re-explain or he was available after class or before class to talk to. You could always reach him by e-mail as well. He taught the class well, but you needed to read the chapter to fully understand it all. Tests were easy if you read the material. You do need to apply yourself.

Great teaching style. Does not give homework, but does recommend exercises that pertain to tests. John gives all of the tools needed to succeed in this course. Simplifies concepts to make them very understandable. Pay attention and take notes especially when he repeats things. He knows the material. He cares and makes himself available to help.

John is an awesome teacher! As long as you show up to class and complete all work, you will be just fine. He explains material well and is always available for any questions you may have. Also. if you take his class, DON'T SLACK ON PRACTICE SET. The practice set will make or break your final grade.

John went over 90% of what we were tested over. I have always thought the computer was helpful in learning these types of subjects. John didn't seem to be such a fan of computers.

If you have to take Accounting, Professor Yuill is the one to take. He knows his stuff and breaks it down in layman's terms. He is there for his students, and will help those that want the help. If you attend class regularly and consistently and make an effort, there's no reason you shouldn't pass. I hate that he doesn't teach 212.

John is THE ONLY teacher to take Accounting 211 with. He's amazing. He breaks down every piece so to help you understand the big picture. If only he taught 212!!!

John is a great accounting teacher, and I'm taking 212 now, I MISS JOHN. John doesn't make you read the chapter, but his lectures go over everything there. His test are middle of the road, you should study. He tells you how to pass to get credit, and YES YOU HAVE TO DO A PROJECT, but its not hard. I def recommend John!

Great professor One of the best I've ever had.

John is a pretty good guy. He really wants you to pass and he makes that really clear. He doesn't really use the book all that much but he does assign non graded homework from the book. If you do the homework and pay attention in his class, you will do fine. I recommend skimming the chapters in the book though because he doesn't make the test.

He is a great professor in that he explains the material well and is always willing to help if you ask for it. The class was somewhat difficult because it is accounting and that's a typically challenging class anyway, but he did a good job making sense of it in class. Most of the grade comes from tests, do the practice set!

There was homework twice during the semester. One was a practice set, which took about 12 hours over the course of a month. He doesn't use Wiley so there was only 1 online homework assignment, along with the practice set. If you show up and pay attention, you'll do fine.

I took John for ACC 211 and he was fantastic! Very easy going and very understanding. His lectures can get a little boring at times but he does a great job of explaining material and relating It to real world experiences. Would definitely take again, unfortunately he only teaches in the fall semester.
