Go to class, take notes (DO NOT JUST PRINT POWERPOINTS OFF THE INTERNET), and you will do fine. He gives ten pop quizzes, but you drop the two lowest. He is a generous grader on exams (you always get some credit if you at least try). Take Dr. Forbey if you can!

He doesn't have many strict rules..w/ attendance, laptops, cell phones, etc. He does his part: teaching. and the students have to do theirs to succeed in class.

Out of his mind, but funny. He tells a lot of stories that don't relate to the tests, though.

Forbey is the definition of the fun college professor. He is both funny and informative, and it can all be found in his lectures. He frequently has movie clips to assist the topic in discussion. However it is solely a note taking class. If you study, you will do fine. I wouldn't miss class too often either.

Professor Forbey is the best PSYS 100 professor! He really makes an effort to be funny which makes class more enjoyable. We had 5 tests the whole semester. The final exam was not cumulative. Pay attention and take notes during lecture and you will do well.

If you have to choose between Dr. Forbey and another Psych teacher, do yourself a favor and choose him. He has a great sense of humor and gives some of the most interesting lectures I've ever seen. forty is the best teacher i have had yet at ball state. his lectures are very interesting and i believe that is why i did so well in his class.

He is very funny and you'll definitely enjoy class time but it is kind of hard to get an A, I tried to increase my study hours and I only read through class notes but I got a B+. in each exam I lost 5 points and my grades never progressed. no extra credits available also. I would recommend buying the text book and skim the chapters before the exam

Forbey is definitely one of the best professors I have ever had. He reminded me of my favorite high school teacher. He's hilarious and makes psychology interesting, even though it's pretty interesting in my opinion. "In any event" his class isn't too difficult. He gives 13 pop quizzes throughout the semester and the final is just like a normal exam

He gives you study guides for the tests and i suggest reading the book to get a better understanding of things. You have to study at least a little bit for his tests even if you do not want to .

Forbey is the best professor I have had. He engages the class with laughter and gives funny and interesting stories to better understand the information. Pay attention to the videos he present to the class as they will be on the test. Book is not necessary as the notes he gives are word for word. Book is just an extra study aid.

Dr. Forbey is a very charismatic and hilarious guy. This was personally my favorite class and I learned so much because his lectures and powerpoints are very thorough. He usually gives a true or false quiz every week, so I would say attendance is key in passing this class. Use the study guides and take good notes and you should be fine.

I loved Dr. Forbey's class, he is really fun and makes the material easy to understand. However he has no homework and so your grades only rely on tests and quizzes. If you aren't a studier don't take this professor. I've never been good with math but I did fairly decent in his class.

he gives weekly "pop quizzes" on mondays or wednesdays that are true/false. he uses them as attendence. he just talks the whole time but its enjoyable because hes pretty funny. your only grades are tests and the quzzes. tests are somewhat difficult if you dont read or study. your grade reflects your effort

Forbeys class is lecture heavy, but his lectures are entertaining and he is very funny. If you talk in his class he will stop lecturing and leave, so unless you want to be screwed for the tests, don't talk. My advice would be to see how you do on the first test before buying the book. Does after class quizzes for attendance about once a week.

Make sure you attend all classes. He uses a lot of his examples in lectures on tests, make sure to read the book, and for the love of all that is Holy, don't speak during class or he will leave lecture.

I freakin love Forbey!! If you skip class, you're screwed for the exams because he doesn't upload his lecture slides anywhere . There's pop quizzes that you have to take in the testing lab maybe once a week, super easy and they're straight from the lecture of that day. This was a very easy class. I rarely showed up since all of his lectures were online (but that could've been because of covid). There are only 5 exams for the semester and 2-3 quizzes per exam. All quizzes and exams are open-not and many of the answers can be found on quizlet. There are no long essays or research assignments required.

I took this class solely online with in person office hours and it went great. All of the lecture were pre-loaded onto canvas and you could work through them at your own pace as long as you watched them all before the exam on a set date. For each section there are 5 question quizzes added to lectures but they are easy if you pay attention to them.

Great teacher! This was my favorite class. He covers mostly everything from book, so it's not really needed to PASS. However, HIGHLY recommend REVEL. It has practice quizzes that makes studying much easier. There are 5 exams made up of 70% info from lecture, 15% paying attention, and 15% book info. Exams are all open note/book, but still study.

There are 13 quizzes (drops lowest 3), 5 exams (open book open note), and you have to participate in the SONA stuff but he gives good lectures, and attendance isn't mandatory. HOWEVER, if you do choose not to go you will miss out of some of the test questions like "from the video we watched in class", "from the image we viewed in class".

Dr. Forbey's exams are really easy since they're all open book/open note. All you need to do is attend class (some of the test questions are directly from his lectures) and skim the textbook (use the practice test questions on REVEL). Quizlet is your friend, as there's a lottttt of different terms/concepts covered, but again it's a pretty easy A.

I had Dr. Forbey for my Psychology 100 class. It was a 10 am lecture class. Needless to say I wasn't thrilled about it the first day. However, that dread quickly went away within the first couple of sessions. Dr. Forbey has a sense of humor that makes it worth it to get up every more for a lecture. He also shares his experiences which is enjoyable!

Very entertaining lectures, all of which are posted to canvas as slideshows, in case of absence. Will make sure to remind you of upcoming quizzes, tests, and research due dates each lecture. Very accessible and online friendly.

He makes the lectures interesting by telling stories and including pictures or videos that relate to the topic. When there is a quiz after class he puts a comic at the end of the slideshow. I thought he was funny so it was a good morning class.

Dr. Forbey's class was something I looked forward to every Tuesday and Thursday. His lectures are intriguing, and hilarious, with plenty of stories from his life. His lectures are all posted on Canvas, and you could totally just take the class online, but Dr. Forbey makes it worth it to go to class.

I'm not sure if attendance was mandatory but he didn't take it because it was about a 200 person lecture. The class was really fun when I went, I stopped going like a quarter into the semester because I realized I could do everything asynchronously. He uploaded the notes after class and the tests were open note/book. Also I never used my textbook

Overall liked his class and lectures. Most of his jokes were just annoying in my opinion, but they made lectures less monotone. No assignments except for participation in studies, just some quick tests after lectures along with the exams.

Very easy psych 100 course, only grades are the after class quizzes and tests. The tests weren't bad, study material could be found on quizlet, so the book was not necessary to get an A. Must attend lectures though to really know what is going on. Forbey is a little odd at first but you just get used to his sense of humor.

Forbey is funny, even though he repeats jokes sometimes. The exams are open note. There is a pearson textbook you can get online, but it's not required. Attendance isn't required, but is recommended so that you can watch the videos that may be on the exam or any of the extra stuff. There are sometimes daily quizzes (5 questions) that are real easy.

Overall this class is really good, doesn't take attendance, so don't worry about that. He's super funny! His quizzes and test are easy most of them you can google and are also in the notes. It's also open note and book tests which is great! You do have to do research hours but only 5 which isn't bad you can do them online & get all of the points!

This class was super easy for me. Your grade is mostly based off exams, but the exams are open note/ open book, and your notes are super helpful. You have a research assignment worth 10% of your grade and its super easy, he also offer movie alternative assignments for the research which are super easy as well.

Loved the lectures he did along with his slideshows, which were on Canvas too. We had the 5 exams (6th optional) 5 SONA hours (super easy), and few 3 point quizzes. Exams/ quizzes easy and open note/ book- and SONA hours are easily done all online in a month or two

Dr. Forbey was a good stats teacher, had him for Psych 100 as well. He has an interesting sense of humor but the class was set up in a clear way. Tests were based off his slides, and he never took attendance, but it was defiantly important to go if you wanted to know the material. Tests were open note, but you still needed to know the material.

Forbey is chill. I had him for stats, and I usually suck at math, but I did surprisingly well in his class. Your grade is based off of 5 question quizzes and exams. Do not buy the textbook unless you need a lot of extra information about this subject. His tests are based on the lectures, and he posts all of them. He doesn't take attendance at all, but he might start implementing this next year. But it is important to attend class, he adds extra information and videos and images that are not included in post.

Psych 100 was super easy with Forbey. He is a really funny guy and genuinely enjoys what he does, which is great. Each class was a lecture and usually once a week had a quiz to follow. Stats was the bane of my existence lol. However Forbey was a great professor and actually made us work through the math rather than just showing us and just moving on. He honestly is such a funny guy! Definitely take the class! He tells you on the first day that you get "10" freebie absences. You do attendance from your phone it takes 2 seconds. I went the first two weeks then never went again and passed the class! Very easy!
