I had an awesome time in this class, she is an excellent teacher. I dreaded going into speech class, but she made it easy and interesting. Do all the speeches and get an A in the class. Final exam doesn't hurt grade, only improves it.

Jolinda is a wonderful, enthusiastic and passionate teacher who makes you feel comfortable with public speaking. She is one hot little mama- love the accent.

I really liked Jolinda. She encourages class participation, and is so helpful! I loved this class, it is great to take at 8:00, it helps you wake up. I am sad this class had to end. She is very nice. Expects a lot when it comes to your group presentations. Just follow her guidelines on what she looks for in a presentation and you will surely get an "A." I know I did. Awsome speaking coach but also a very concerned and caring professor.

She was a great teacher. Made giving speeches in front of other students seem harmless. Is good at making the class entertaining and is able to get almost 100% class participation. I would definitely recommend her. She may have favorites, but if you know how to take care of business you'll get an A.

She is very very easy - people say she has favorites...I don't think she has favorites but sometimes it seems like she's a little more patient with people who do their homework. If you do your assignments on time and you're careful to follow her guidelines really well (especially when it comes to speech outlines) then you'll get an A.

This prof does not pick favorites. She grades you by how hard you work. If you work semi hard you will most likely get an A. You have to remember this is speech class, not everyone's fav. Her smile and her charm help lighten up a day and she gives the grade deserved. Follow instrucions and you will pass, try hard and you will get an A.

Every day is a wonderful day in Prof. Ramsey's class. She helps you develop skills needed for working in groups and giving presentations. I am happy I took her class. Even though she grades tough, if you do your work youll get an A. If you are insecure or lack courage she can help but if your worried about who sees your designer bag well...

She is very nice, makes everyone comfortable w/ each other, helps you overcome fear of public speaking and become more outgoing. However, grading gets harder as the semester nears the end. I was for sure it would be an easy A. You do have to work hard at it. The final comes straight from the book study that not her notes.

i have to disagree with the person who said this class is minimum output. its not. that being said, this class isnt calcus either. its challenging. there is a balance between the work load and effort rewarded. if you do the work, you will get a good grade. you learn a lot in this class. great class and great professor. take it! you wont regret it!=

Jolinda is very helpful. She offers lots of extra credit!!! If you show up and do the work and just show her you're interested you'll pass. The only problem was she doesn't always get your papers back to you when she says she will. Other than that she was very helpful and really did a good job of getting you comfortable in front of the class.

I enrolled in the Business speech flex course. It went by faster than I thought. This course was an easy B but I worked a lil more for an A and got it! As long as you do your work, you will do fine. Just make sure you do well on your group project. It weighs the most! She was my only speech teacher but she is the best so far! Cool personality.

im a c average student due to me always doing minimal homework but i came out with a B..not hard , the work isnt hard its more exciting than anything cause i rather talk and be nervous in a class than sit there bored.

Jolinda is the best professor I've ever taken. She grades fairly and her teaching style is fun. You will not have a boring class with her...she's a sweetheart! Everyone dreads having to take speech but she makes it easier to cope with.

Miss Jolinda is a complete joy! She brings the whole class together and it is so much fun. You almost always get out early. The tests are easy and I never even bought the book. This class is an easy A. You must take Miss Jolinda!

I had Jolina Ramsey in the Summer. This was one fun class. I really did not want to talk in front of big groups but I soon overcame my fear with Jolinda. You can tell that she really enjoys teaching and has a blast. A wonderful teacher. Just write the speechs she wants and you will do good. Always willing to help those who ask.

Jolinda is the salt of the earth.She is one the the best. I enjoyed her class and did improve my speaking skills and confidence.She expects you to work but she makes you feel at ease. Come on folks, this is college. You have to do something to earn your grade.

Jolinda was a very kind woman. I am ashamed in myself for not doing better in her class b/c her instructions were simple and easy. As long as you are a dedicated student you will do well in her class. She likes a class that responds to her as well...she isn't afraid to show her feelings. I respect her very much.

She is a very nice woman. But she was very inconsistent throughout the semester. Her grading system is a point system, good in some cases, but in this case, you really have to get an A on everything to get an A in the class. I got mostly A's but somehow turned out with a B. 500 is the max points you can get, and if you get below 450 you get a B.

She was was really understanding and easy going. Sometimes, a bit difficult to understand, but if you talk to her, she will work with you. Very friendly and has a wonderful smile. Learned a lot from her in just a short amount of time. Took her for Summer 1. Do the outlines and the speeches and you will do well in her class.

Not a hard class. You are given the criteria by which each speech will be graded. Follow it and you'll do fine. That said, Jolinda teaches in a VERY simplistic manner & her way instead of the text. Many group projects that would be easy for an elementary school student. Nice lady, but a little more obvious with her political views than I like.

If i had to take her again i will just for fun, she is a great professor and extremely helpful, very understanding and is willing to work with you, if you fail is cuz you are LAZY, i recomend her to everyone, no doubt about it

She's a good teacher. Speech is not my preferred class, however was required.I came out of her class learning a great deal and even had fun with some of the presentations. If you have a problem understanding an assignment just ask, she is helpful.

She is good, I was afraid of speaking in public, but now I am even enjoying presenting the speeches, you will learn all you need to do it, and in a fun way. Take her.

This is the Intro to Speech Flex Course -- I took it online and she was terrific! There were 4 sections with three speeches total! You had a few easy online assignments and if you read the chapters or at least the bold faced words, you'll do great! :) Do take her! Shes a great inspiring teacher!

Nice and smooth class

Creates a really comfortable environment for learning. If you are the type to get nervous for presentations and such, no worries, she sort of soothes the pressure. Just be attentive and put effort into your research and you will be fine. Definitely recommend!

Read the book and follow the syllabus, you will do fine, great class to take in Flex session. Over quickly and you do only two speeches. Grades fairly.

Took online. I made alot of mistakes in my speeches (saying um, eye contact, long pauses) and she graded easy on me. Homework was easy and discussions were fun. She is very approachable and nice. Midterm and final were not bad at all. I made an A. Highly recommend.

One of the easiest classes i've ever had. course is broken up into 4 sections. only had 3 speeches which i had to drive to campus for but i dont mind. extra credit is given. mid term and final quizzes are straight from the book. on each discussion she posts, as long as you respond atleast once, you get a 10 out of 10.Take Her

online class is very easy. just show up 2 times to school to present ur speech. work load is easy. she does require some specific details but it is not hard. she grades VERY easy on the speech presentations! shes always there if u need any help! loved this class

Great professor! Easy online course and easy A, if you try! Agenda was crystal clear and only had to show up to class twice to give 2 speeches. Homework was assigned through readings,videos, and one movie assignment. Book is mandatory. The professor made me feel extremely comfortable and was very helpful. I would highly recommend her class.

they was a hybrid course. 2 required visits to campus to deliver your speeches with one group assignment. Awesome teacher, awesome teacher, awesome teacher! She will work with you to help you adjust your schedule. She was the most organized instructor ever! I HIGHLY RECCOMEND

Jolinda is as classy as they come! She is a grade A+ professor with a nack for teaching speech. I wouldnt be too surprised to catch myself taking any other course she might offer, even if it's not part of my degree!

I took this class and was super nervous, but Mrs. Ramsey was so cool and did a great job of making the classroom such a comfortable place! Before the class was over the entire class was super comfortable with each other, and the environment was great! When she gave us assignments her directions were very clear and was available for questions.

Awesome teacher and super sweet. Every person goes in nervous knowing they have to give speeches at the start of the semester but by the end everyone was so much more confident & easy going. She gives you great feedback and class is super easy.( 4 SPEECHES IN TOTAL) Would take her again in a heart beat!

The best thing about her is that the class is about how much you improve in public speaking rather than how well you do in general. If you start off not being able to really at all and by the end of the semester you can at least talk to a few minutes, you'll get an A. Wonderful, interesting, and hilarious woman. Class was an easy A for me. I am already a decent speaker so this just helped me practice. She is quick to respond to messages and grades are put in regularly. I would absolutely recommend her for those needing a speech credit.

Professor Ramsey is wonderful. There was 2 meet dates and those 2 meet dates you can not miss. A lot of people got dropped because they didn't opened the canvas the first day of class and the second day we had to meet. I have no negative feedback to give about her. It's an easy A if you study and do the extra credit she gives you'll pass.

I couldn't have selected a better instructor to take this course with. Maymester is the best time to take this class. 2 on campus speeches/1 group activity. Quizzes/assignments due weekly. Prof. Ramsey understands public speaking causes a lot of anxiety with students. Grades speeches fairly. Easy A if you stay on top of the work. Highly recommend.

She is a great teacher !!! I highly recommend her as a maymester course :) she is a reasonable grader. The two speeches are required to pass the class .

You'd better not have a problem standing up in front of people or working in a group, because you'll do it frequently in her class. Her standards for grading are not fixed and seem to depend mostly on the situation. If you're a great student, you'll be graded harshly. If you're shy and your speeches suck, she'll give you a good grade anyway.

I took Ramsey online for Maymaster speech and it was by far a great decision. I was nervous at first i did not know what to expect. I knew Maymaster courses are fast paced, but Ms. Ramsey's class was VERY easy and manageable. She offers plenty of extra credit as well. I had so much time to spare i feel like i should have taken 2 Maymaster courses.

She's a wonderful teacher. By the end of the semester, you will know everyone's names. I've never had a teacher that cared so much about the student's success at SAC and future.

I took Jolinda for Business Speech. She has a very nice personality and cares for every student. No really though assignments. If you go to class and do the prep work outside of class time it's pretty easy to get an A. Lots of group work and she offers plenty of extra credit, too.

It's very obvious that Ramsey is passionate about teaching her students the ways of public speaking. She gave very good feedback and was honest. I took this class online and had to go on campus twice which was annoying, but I understand why it was necessary. I speak in public every day for my job so this class helped me tighten my skills a bit.

She grades off points for every assignment. She gives you so many extra credit opportunities. If you do all her assignments easy A. A bunch of group work for sure.

Jolinda's classes are unorthodox compared to most. She encourages unique ways of gibing speeches, and encourages group participation. She pushes you to the limit of what you're comfortable with; presentations can be scary. She gives tons of extra credit opportunities, and makes the grade seem less important that what you learn which I always love.

The only thing I found difficult was the speeches we had to do in class. If your not an anxiety ridden individual this class should be easy. Even if you are, she's very helpful and has a calm demeanor. The quizzes and discussion question are quite easy, you just need to read the book.

Mrs Jolinda is a very nice lady,she respond to emails fast. Only thing I have a problem with is, u have to do speeches and upload them. If you are shy it will be a difficult class . Overall good professor.

She is super nice and works with you! I took her summer I online class and she was awesome! You do have to record yourself for 2 speeches, and upload them to youtube. The only thing I had a hard time with was finding 5 people to be my audience for my 2nd speech. I would definitely take her again!

I absolutely LOVE professor Ramsey! I just completed her 2 week maymester speech 1311 course and it was completely stress free and I actually felt like I learned new things. Assignments are pretty easy and straight forward. There are some quizzes over textbook material, 2 main speeches, a final test, and other written assignments. Very easy class!

Professor Ramsey is upfront with you about her expectations in her class. She is humble and caring personality. She provides great feedback on what you should improve on for your Informative Speech. I enjoyed the course.

I really enjoyed this class. The Professor provided good feedback, was very accessible and clear in her assignments/due dates. I took the 8-week course and was able to juggle it easily with the other crazy classes that I had.

Was in the recent Wintermester class it was real quick in 3 weeks. Availability for extra credit was there and she was a fair grader but time management important was clear in this class. The homework was clear but spend more time on presentations because they are heavily weighted!

I took this course in a May-mester and would take it all over again. If you have an option for instructors take her! Very clear grading and rubric, she's so kind and gives you plenty of chances to do well. You will need to record and share some of your speeches with the class. Overall this is one of the best courses and instructors at SAC

The most important grades are the speeches- Jolinda gives clear instruction on the things she is grading you on and required of you. You have the freedom to discuss (most) things you enjoy or are passionate about. She does a great job at making every student feel welcomed in her classroom.
