I HATE math, but Greer makes it so much fun, it is like he gets down to your level. The only people who fail are those who don't try. Greer is awsome and is ALWAYS willing to help! Awsome, AWSOME teacher.... and yes he snorts... but he's a good teacher! I recomend him!!

John is the **** of all math classes!Just like his coffee!He is a great guy and keeps the class interesting.I never thought I'd miss a math class... don't get me wrong,math still sucks,but John makes it enjoyable.He doesn't play favorites...he likes milk too..

Mr. Greer is a wonderful instructor. He makes you feel comfortable and enjoy coming to math class. I'm in another math class and I wish he taught it.

The best professor yet! He's funny and he pretty much took everything I didn't understand about math and made it clear. I never thought I'd love math again like I used to as a kid until I had him. Since his class, I've never gotten lower than an "A" in any higher level math class. Remember.. he likes his coffee like his women. Dark and sweet! :)

Good guy, i liked him. Also doesn't take attendence and allows sleeping in class. Its excellent.

He makes math SO fun. He relays math problems in totally unrelated ways so you actually get it. He's nice, I dont notice he plays favorites, but he's awesome!! PS it's not really a snort it's like part of his little laugh or something!! :)

It’s rare to have a math class that you enjoy going to, but this is one of them. He is a fun guy and will joke and have fun while teaching. Class was always laughing and cracking jokes with him. No Homework No Attendance so it’s easy to fall behind if you do not keep yourself on track. Will answer any questions you have.

Very good teacher. real laid back. He makes math alittle more interesting then usual. He tells you everything thats on the test, like the exact problems. if you fail his class you dont belong in college or High School.

Definitely the best math teacher I've ever had! He goes slow enough for non-mathmatically inclined students to actually get it and he gives good examples. Clearly outlines his grading process from day one. Doesn't force homework. Allows redos on tests for partial credit when needed. He will help students that give the effort to help themselves.

He is extreamaly good at math (how about that)! I undersood everything he tought. I'm a math type of guy, so, if you are too then take this class from Greer! He's cool and doesn't take crap from idiots.

Easiest math class I ever took. I have always understood math, but he made it fun to be there. He told enough jokes to keep you interested, and they weren't corny jokes. He almost made me want to change my major.

HELLUVA guy.Enjoyed his instruction.Summer session made tolerable.

Jon tells you EXACTLY what you need to know. Test questions are straight from the book and the Final Exam Q's are from your tests. Jon teaches the TI-83+ as needed so if you have never used it--no problem! A very charismatic and super fun guy--always hated algebra but I enjoyed this class! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Every math teacher in America needs to teach like him. He made it so easy and in a summer session he some how got it all in and it has been so helpful this fall. He shows you how to use the calculator.Great Teacher!!

Mr.Greer was straight forward about everything. He doesn't make you do hw. As long as you come to class then everything should be good. Also on the tests, as long as you try on a problem you get 2 points out of 5. Overall, he is funny! I would recommend his class to anyone!

He is a wonderful teacher especially if you are not really a math person. He makes you feel completely comfortable and answerers questions really well. He really cares about his students and even knows everybody's name by the first week. I am not a math person at all, and he made it very clear, easy, and actually fun too. We have a really good

He was one of the best teachers yet that I've had at GRCC. He is very friendly, fun, and very knowledgable in math. Great teacher.

Mr. Greer was one phenomenal instructor. He was my instructor for intermediate Algebra, and we took the class in just six weeks. A lot of work, but he taught the material very well and made the environment comfortable and fun for everyone! Make sure your phone doesn't go off in class, otherwise you have to bring a treat within the week! A++

If you're not too sure about math, take him because he can teach you how to make it fun and easy. I was bad at math before him, and confident afterwards.

WOW what a great teacher take him if you can he makes math so much fun. He is easy to understand and will not move on until everyone gets it.

He was a great teacher. He really helped a lot. The only bad thing I can say about him is he really plays favorites and some of the comments he says are on the borderline of being inappropriate. You have to take what he says with a grain of sand. And he really REALLY plays favorites. Other than that, great teacher. He really helped with math.

This teacher is such a nice guy! I am horrible at math and he even tutored me on Saturday's outside of his hours to help me understand the material. He was teaching Statistics as a favor for Summer 2008, but he should teach it all the time. He's a great guy!

Great prof..this was my 3rd attempt at algebra and he was the first one that made it easy for me to understand..quizes are easy if you do the homework and same for tests if you take the time to study..likes to joke around alot making the class fun to be in..

totally easy. just work on the homework problems even if its not mandatory, i found it helpful. most of his test questions are from the even numbers in the book. great guy, funny, voice your opinion and it makes the class more interesting. HIGLY RECOMMEND HIM

IDK what the class # was at cc.. it was business stats.. but it transferred as stats 215 at GV.. but anyway.. HE IS AWESOME.. I HATE MATH.. HATE IT HATE IT HATE IT. He isn't an easy teacher.. but her cares that you get it. I had a night class with him.. and I usually hate night classes.. it was not bad AT ALL.. if you get the chance.. take him!!

My favorite teacher at CC. He likes to have EVERYONE talk about current events each class time. However, he does this so that you have an opinion even if you don't agree with him. This man was meant for teaching. Others I talk to agree with me. He is somewhat difficult but you feel you actually learned. Very out going too. You HAVE to try him once

Best Algebra teacher I've ever had! Listened and took the time to explain everything, understood when you didn't understand something. I failed all of his tests and still past his class. Great Guy!!!! Actually made algebra fun!

WARNING: This prof is not for the overly-sensitive. Be prepared to learn several things about yourself in addition to the subject taught.He will help a lagging student but usually suggests a tutor. Very good at reading a class, will not move on when he's looking at a sea of befuddled students(tho he will leave 1 or 3 adrift) I highly recommend him.

One of the best math teachers at cc..Helps u understand the concepts and cares if u learn or not!!I didnt do well in this class do to my inabilities but he's an awesome prof!Hint:(if u struggle at math dont take it in the 7 week summer courses)

The best teacher I ever had. I took the 7 week course and had not taken a math class in a long time. I paid attention .. attended each class and scored very high in the class. He teaches you what you need to know and its up to you to practice. If you study you'll score an A ... if you try to wing it ... good luck.

Jonathan Greer is a teacher I wish I had in high school where I struggled miserably. After having him for math, I have strengthened my math skills to an average of an A!!! and even made it through trig with a B where many failed. It was because of his teaching methods that I have been able to continue with math and statistics. DO THE PUSH-UPS!

Greer is a great Professor. He doesnt grade your homework but can tell if you do your push-ups or not...Hint, Hint, Hint!! Offers second chances for tests which is awesome but expects you to succeed. Also big on whats happening with the world and not sports-real world. "Pay me now, pay me later."

Oh what to say about Greer? He is hilarious and a great teacher. I had him for 104 and then switched back into his class for 107 after a few classes with another professor. Greer explains things very clearly and makes class fun and interesting.Take this class if you can!!

By far my favorite professor. He is hilarious but also teaches what we need to learn. He makes it impossible to fail his class. I highly recommend taking his class.

By far the best math class I have had. Teaches useful and interesting theories and concepts for statistics. He made the class interesting by bringing up various topics in the news and asked for our opinion on them. Always asked me what was new in the news. Was helpful in giving the class an idea of what was to be expected on exams. Great class

Loves to talk about politics and appreciates people who are aware of what is going on in the news. Lecture is fun and he offers lots of extra credit. It would be very hard to fail his class.

He is a GREAT professor. Very clear and helpful, although he doesnt use email/blackboard, so that can be frustrating if you need help. He does offer help, extra credit, and humor all the time! I definitely reccomend greer!

Greer is a wonderful professor. He is extremely funny and is very helpful. He always makes sure that everyone knows the material. He goes over what his tests are going to be on. However he does not grade homework or attendance--MAKE SURE YOU GO if you don't you will be lost. It is also helpful to do the homework. (:

Greer is an exceptional math teacher. He will not go easy on you. He will, however, PREPARE YOU FOR BATTLE! If you attend his classes, participate, take good notes (I recommend the LiveScribe pen) and do the homework for the sections, then there is no way to fail. Greer knows his stuff and he'll make sure you know yours as well! Thanks Greer!

If you don’t like having a good time while learning & you have absolutely no sense of Humor or offended easily this class is not for you! If you are looking to have a good time while learning take Greers class! I learned a lot about a subject I didn’t particularly care for and received test scores of 90% or above. Thanks Greer!

I used to hate math and Greer changed that! Great class, if you show up and do your homework, ask any questions you may have, you will get a good grade. He explains everything very well and is funny on top of that. Very nice guy, I hope to take him for stats.

Greer was an AWESOME professor-extremely nice and helpful! Math is usually my worst subject and I dread going to it, but he did a great job of making a point to include everyone in the class and keep you from zoning out (: He always made sure everyone understood the material before moving on and accomodations for anyone&everyone he could!!!

Thank God I took his class! This is my second time taking Math107 after nearly failing the first time. He makes math easy to understand and has a great since of humor. Always ready and keeps class interesting. Thanks to Greer I earned a respectable grade.

Greer is cool! Statistics isn't a cool subject but he makes it understandable and interesting. Tells you what you need to know for tests and offers extra credit.

Don't miss class because you will regret it. He covers the material quick,but if you ask him to go over another problem he will. Test are 90% of grade and homework is 10%. He gives you a ton of opportunities for extra credit. If you get lower then a 75% he will let you fix the errors to achieve a 75%. He likes to joke, so have thick skin!

A very great teacher to take statistics with. The subject is hard, but he makes it clear as possible. Just read the book and examples, and you'll do just fine. Seems like a nice guy, explains the subject well. The only annoying thing was he seemed extremely lazy with grading stuff. Wouldn't get tests back for over a week and he doesn't post grades on blackboard which is irritating .

Prof. Greer is a very good instructor. I no way wanted to take this class and wasn't wanting to from what I had heard. His test are take home essays and don't be skimpy on them but if you read and just put down the info you will be good. he makes the class fun, especially if ya get him talking news. I'd recommend him

I've had a lot of teachers in my day but Greer beats them all. He's funny, controversial, incredibly good at teaching Statistics, and he gives way too much extra credit. GRCC will lose one of their best teachers when he retires in two years. I am going to miss him and all the lively students in the 2014 summer class. Take him. You won't regret it.

Great professor! Not an easy class, but he makes it clear and easy to understand. You MUST go to class, miss a day and you will be lost. Does NOT use blackboard. Plenty of extra credit to pick up points missed in tests.

Great prof but doesn't use technology. Go to class and hand in your assignment. He will not use blackboard or email. Fair in grading and makes class interesting.
