Good teacher. Recommended to me by a friend, was a grate class, his personality made it interesting and fun, best teacher I’ve had at SCC, reasonable extra credit, plenty of homework but easy tests easy enough to get an a.

His class is very lucid. He is aproachable and makes you undestand his teachings.Pay attention and you will do well. Great teacher.

Mr. Hanson awesome. He tells jokes all through class. He doesn't mind funny people. He appreciates humor. He explains things until you get them. The mid-term and final, and all "practice tests" are open-notes. As long as you do the homework, study vocab, and do good on your research project, you are guaranteed an A.

Mr. Hanson is the coolest teacher I have had at Sac City. I have been there for a little while but I love him the most out of all the teacher because he is so funny, helpful, and the way he teaches; it's easy to follow and you really learn alot. I would recommend him for anyone. I wish he taught all my classes. He's great.

Took his course online and it was great. I put in a modest amount of work and got a solid A. It was a great way to get the course done. I would highly recommend.

I took a hybrid course spending only hour a week in class. the class is really straight forward and Hanson does a great job of giving examples and and finding ways to relate readings to everyday life. Overall do your homework, reading, and pay attention to what he says and read the responses of your class mates and you';; do just fine.

He is a very good teacher. There is a lot of work but you will thank him for it. He is very enjoyable and makes class fun even at 7:30 AM. He is a very positive person. He will occasionally assign homework in the textbook but he will not collect it. Only do things that are mentioned in the syllabus. His tests are easy if you are prepared for them.

Hanson is really easy. The class is boring. You have to read a boring book and take quizzes on it. He does a lot of unnecessary stuff like vocal flash cards and group work. He grades really easy though so I would recommend him.

I took his class during the summer time and let me tell you. To my experience, he is the most inspiring and amazing professor. WOW! I loved Professor Hanson. He has a great personality. He enjoys teaching and genuinely likes his students. I wish I could take more classes from him. There was a lot of reading and writing, but he is such an easy grader.

He's a really cool professor. If you have a friend in the class then I suggest sharing workbooks because he doesn't really check the work from there, only if you did the flashcards he assigns. He assigns online work so don't skimp out on the access code for the textbook. If you do the work, it's an easy A.

Read your assign book. Tests for the book and vocabs are super easy if you practice on your index cards and read your book. Vocab wkbk could be shared with a friend. I love how he teaches, very thorough and direct. Homework in the books are easy if you attend class, he gives you the same examples, but with more details.

Despite only meeting once because I took an online class. He seemed like he would be a great "on campus" teacher. He is easy to work with and easy to get along with. Very caring about his students passing. Says hi to you on campus! I would take again!

I took an online course and let me tell you, if you do every online homework, he will bump you to a 100%. I don't know if he does this to every student, but I struggled in some assignments and got B'S and C'S, yet I passed him with an A+. Just a kind, amazing teacher.

Easy online English course as a 6-week summer class. Prof Hanson is responsive to questions after in-person orientation. A nice guy. Surprisingly little reading to do. The homework was simple & his grading was beyond generous. Online multiple choice work was easy & he adjusts scores to full credit if you just try. No reason to not get an A.

He is one of the 3 greatest English teachers I have ever had the pleasure of taking. I took him back in 2019 and the experience was incredible. He was unbelievably easy to access and super understanding. I had a family member commit suicide which threw me off a lot in the semester that I had him and he was able to help reel me back in after that.

Probably the easiest class in the history of human beings lol. I was able to finish the work for the entire semester in one week and I was just chilling for the rest of the semester. He gives great feedback and is very caring and polite. There's one module due in 3 weeks, and there are only 4 assignments on each module and a concluding essay. rec.

He is an amazing professor. You have a set of assignments due about once a month, they are relatively easy and if you do them you will pass. There was one significant paper due at the end of the semester, other than that it was a fun and easy class. I recommend him to those that do not like English that much.

Professor Hanson is such a great professor, I don't like English that much but Professor Hanson made it so easy. You do have a lot of reading, and its not super boring so you can read and understand what you read. You do not need a textbook for this class, he provide the reading. I also took him for English 300 College Composition. He is the best!

Assignments were given, usually 3-4 essays, 3 weeks given to complete them. Very clear guidelines and rubric. If you at least attempt each assignment I don't see why you wouldn't get at least a B. Gives clear feedback but expects you to use it moving forward, that's not unreasonable.

Great professor, the class is easy with short assignments and 1 papers which are due every 2 two weeks. The last week will be a final papers and no final exam !!!

If you're confident in your writing and reading skills out of high school (and didn't take any APs and attended Sac City), then definitely take Hanson. His class is easy and you'll actually learn (especially from the final paper), and he opens everything in Canvas up to the final assignment. You could wipe out the whole course in 3-4 weeks easily.

Had him for Fall 2023 & I'll tell you he is the most engaging and amazing professor ever. He does talk a lot but that's besides the point. Lectures are very clear & grading is also very clear. Just do the work & that's your A right there. The way he has his assignments formatted is that you have 2 weeks to complete 4 assignments. 10/10 professor

I took Professor Hanson's online ENRD 310 class in summer and it was super easy going. Assignments were pretty easy and straight forward. He always gave nice and positive feedback on work. He really seemed to care for his students suceeding, would definitely recommend. He is such a sweet soul.

I took this class asynchronous for the Spring 2024 semester. There are 5 modules, each with an assignment, "quiz", discussion, and paper. I found the assignments to be straightforward to knock out. He posts everything at once so you can easily work ahead. He was a very fair grader and frequently updated his grades. I would take this professor again

One of my favorite and best professors. You basically need to complete about 3 or 4 assignments every other week. You have plenty of time and the assignments are very easy and straightforward. I completed my work early and was done for the semester. He gave me a recommendation letter. Easy work, best professor. I would love to take his class again.

Professor Hanson is super kind! After submitting my papers he always left comments on what I did well. Instructions on assignments are clear and modules are posted at the start of the semester. He provides the reading materials so no need to purchase textbooks. His class helped me expand my vocabulary and improve my writing skills.

Super easy professor just try and you'll be good. Loved his class. He has all his assignments open for the whole semester so you can get a head start on the other assignments and finish faster! very nice professor and answers very quickly to emails. Professor Hanson was amazing! Although my ENGWR 302 class was online, I enjoyed it and it was very structured and clear. As long as you put in effort, you will get 100% in this course. Only bad thing about him is I couldn't wear my hearing aids in his class because he was so loud but other than that his class was the easiest class I've ever taken even counting high school he was so easy and caring but got off topic a lot but he was nice. Wish we had a group project as I'm new to the area but was a 10/10 overall!

Professor Hanson's class is so easy and fun. There are two small assignments due every Sunday, one discussion per unit, and a research paper at the end. Hanson is understanding and caring about his students' work and gives great feedback. And he emails back quickly! I'd take him again and again.

There are a couple assignments every week including readings, summaries, videos, and/or discussions. All assignments are grading quickly and he leaves helpful comments. Assignments are also open so you can finish the class early. Focus of class and the final essay is on happiness. If you do the work and try, an A is very possible. Prof is very kind
