The Comm dept. should drop this talentless hack ASAP.
terrible, who would have thought saying **** in a speach is-10pts
He's a cool guy, and he's in a band, Sir Squid
The class is interesting, very interesting....love the ponytail
he is really nice guy
hes nice, and if you do all your work well, you can get an A
Looks like Joe Valente
All he does is talk about his dog Binky. What does that have to do with communication? Avoid his class at all costs!
Pretty nice guy, but way too much work for a comm. class. Take easier comm. classes and professors for those who aren't comm. majors. Although he's a cool guy, avoid taking him if not a comm. major.
he is madd cool. no beef much luv
This is an excellent professor. If you do all the work you will definitely get an A in the class. I strongly recommend him.
Radwan's class is pretty easy as long as you do your work. He judges you on how well you improved rather than comparing you to others. You must come prepared and practice before giving your speaches.
take another teacher,, hes too hard for an oral com teacher!!!
He is a great teacher. The material can be boring but he makes everyone feel extremely comfortable and lets you pick your own topic for your speeches. I got an A easily plus there is really no homework except preparing for the speech.

Way too much work. Every other oral comm class does stories, and stuff. He has us doing so many projects, they are coming out of my ears. He doesn't understand how to chill out on the work load.
Too much work is given. Class is moderately boring. I would suggest not taking it because of the high amount of work given. He is sort of a hippie too and definitely not traditional in his thinking.
Way too much work for Oral Comm!! A flake from Alabama who is pretty weird. Don't take him, go for Yates or VanOsting.
sir squid sucks. radwan is lame. hard grader. group project kills you if you get stuck with the dumb kids.
Nice guy, but compared to the other oral comm classes he is one of the hardest. If you want to really learn, this is the guy for you because he knows his stuff. However, if you are taking this as an elective/gen ed. requirement, go for bradley or yates.
I second the fact that Sir Squid sucks. A completely heartless grader. Don't ever be absent because he won't excuse you unless you have your entire life's medical record set up in a power point presentation for him.
He writes comments such as "you have no credibility, how do you know?" and tells everyone what a great job they did after a speech, but then gives them a seventy. I got an A, but I spent over twenty hours typing the final project. He's an ex
too hard and too much work. i worked my *** off all semester for a B and his attendence policy sux. he thinks he's interesting but id rather observe squirrels
omg!! DONT TAKE THIS GUY!! ::redflag:: his mannerisms make you crazy and he puts you to sleep. his final project made me crazy and he assigns it in the beginning of the semester so you can worry about it for months. he's a perfectionist and its annoying.
He wanted to fail me b/c I missed 4 classes even tho I was legitimately sick and should have been in the hospital. He had documentation from the dean, health services and my doctor and he still didn't believe I was sick. And... Sir Squid SUCKS!!
i'm guessing his oral comm. class is bad, but he's not to bad in dynamics of human comm. he gives 4 papers, midterm and final. kinda hard, if u like writing papers, then take him, but don't be sad if u have to take him

the guy isn't a bad teacher, he just gives alot of work to do. do what u have to and you'll be fine
He teaches pretty well. He uses powerpoint all the time so you have to take notes. He does about five pop quizzes in class. Also he does a lot of speeches and participate in class and you'll get a B.
He is not bad at all for this class. He tells you what he wants just follow instructions. Make sure to read the material, because he might give you a pop quiz. The discussions are pretty good as well and the reading is not too boring. Good guy and professor.
his mannerisms are annoying, and the way he talks is aggravating, but if he sees that you are trying, you will get a good grade.. he looks at effort more than product
Radwan = Bad

UGHHH!!! hes so annoying!!!!! his mannerisms will drive you INSANE!!!!! hes totaly weird and totaly annoying. i want to shoot myself sitting through that class!!!
He plays favorites... A LOT. If he doesn't like you, you're done... If he likes you, you've got it made. Otherwise, follow his instructions to the last little bit and you're okay.
honestly what a stupid class, but he made his section mildly interesting. i think by the time we got to it though, nobody could bother to care. he's kind of dry but he's smart, helpful and a fair grader. he seems passionate about his work which says a lot. he should cut his pony tail because he looks like steven seagal or christopher lambert.
Eh.. hes on okay teacher. Its true.. hes mannerisms will drive you crazy. But for a communications teacher I dont think hes that great of a communicator. But overall, hes a nice guy. He class can get boring but if you read it will be easy to pass.
Very nice guy, class is a little boring but not bad
well he is a very cool teacher. we had a religion class w/ him, well he doubted himeslf alot but never the less good guy. its kinda funny his class layed back, but if u do the work u will have no prob passing. i'd take him again! nice guy
I've had him for 2 classes so far, and he's a cool guy. Definitely knows his stuff, make sure you do the work for his class cuz he'll take notice. Only thing is now that he cut his hair, I don't recognize him anymore!
I agree that for a comm professor, he's not such a great communicator -- and his mannerisms are definitely distinct (I wasn't terribly bothered by them though). He's easy - although the midterm was a killer (not enough time!), the final is a group project that wasn't too much work. Just show up, raise your hand sometimes, and do your work.
This was my second course with him, it was even easier than the first. Make sure you do the reading (they're all online, no book to buy) and you'll get full credit for the quizzes. And complete the 4 posts too! There's no attendance policy - but make sure you show up on quiz days! One final test at the end of his section, all essay Q's- easy though
Dr. Radwan is a nice, younger professor. He likes to talk and discuss various issues in class. His Dynamics of Human Communication class is heavily based on class participation and reading the material. He gives pop quizzes to make sure students are reading. He is very clear and outlines his class material well. I highly recommend taking his class.
Hated the class..He is such a boring teacher. DONT GET HIM! He gives lot of writing and if you don't agree with him you get a bad grade. He doesn't clarify what he wants to see in your writing. HE SUCKS. and he does a weird giggle when he gets nervous or theres nothing to say.
dope teacher! learn a lot, take him if you want to learn about comm. He's not an easy A just do the work and you will pass.
This class was better than I anticipated. Took it over the summer. Discussion is a big part of the grading. He is a good guy and keeps class interesting. His giggle and mannerisms can become a little irritating. He grades fairly and encourages different viewpoints. Take him to knock out your communication elective as a business major.
I had Dr. Radwan in his first year teaching. I am now a professor myself and, in order to give credit where it is due, much of my love of Communications came from him. Thank you Dr. Radwan...for doing your job!
Aww! really nice guy, he is very smart and passionate about communication. He is very knowledgeable so take advantage of it. He doesn't grade hard just make sure your presentations isnt longer the maximum time limit he gives thats alot of point off. Never gave a pop quiz!! Great teacher, but goes really in depth with everything
I was not looking forward to taking this class, but he did make it interesting. Good professor. Assignments were easy.
Nice guy, took attendance almost every day to look for trends and remember names. Pop-quizzes happened pretty often and randomly on the readings. Overall the material wasn't too hard.
Overall he is a good professor. Not much work, just a lot of reading in this course in general. Weekly journal assignments(1-3 paragraphs, so easy). He can be funny at times, but his laugh is extremely awkward and he seems very nervous for a COMM professor. Grades fair. I would take him again. Kind of cute.
I credit this guy for myself graduating in four years. I had no idea who my advisor was on the last day of freshman year's registration and he basically became my advisor because I didn't know who else to go to in the Comm dept. Very nice/cool, very helpful.
Great guy!! He expects you to know everything before class do the material, also he's my adviser and I can't thank him enough for all the help he's given me TAKE HIM!! you won't regret it at all
I had him as my core professor, and I didn't really get to choose him. He's kind of awkward, but he's a nice guy. He assigns a lot of reading, but it's usually very doable in the time you have. If you read everything and try just a little bit, you can get an easy A with him. Just show up to class, and do all the weekly 'journals' (in class)
Not a bad guy, really easy class, a lot of reading but you only need to look up the summarizing, just show up on time and do your in class writing and you'll be fine he's a little awkward at times though, especially when he laughs; he likes to call out the "quiet people" of the class,
I took him for the human dynamics class as my communication elective. He was pretty easy, but a lot of weekly work. There's readings for every class, 2 papers, and 3 exams. He doesn't pick on you to talk in class, well for this class anyways. He's a nice guy, he just takes his classes seriously and wants you to learn. Easy A if you do the work.
Great guy! Helped a lot, I would recommend for anyone and I would take again in a heartbeat. My favorite thing about him is that he is clear in what he wants and there wont be any surprises, showing and participating in class do the trick.
Don't bother buying the extra texts-- you can use Sparknotes or Google easily. Participate participate participate!!!
The class is discussion-based, so everyone must participate. Professor Radwan is a very easy grader, but his class consists of a lot of reading. You need to write weekly journals and two paragraphs about the reading during every class, but they're easy and they help your grade tremendously. Would take again!
The class is pretty much all participation but as long as you read and throw in a comment or two during the class everyday you'll do fine. Tests are easy, but there's a lot of writing with journals being due every week.
Hardly any work, but long readings. Mostly discussion in class, assignments and exams are super easy.
Dr. Radwan is a great guy, into music, and very rad - talk to him outside of class if he is your adviser you win at life. Explains material, gives "fill-in" powerpoint sheets for you to follow along with. Pretty easy class just show up and pay attention you won't even have to study.
Great teacher, great class. Work for the grade you want to receive. MUST participate.
Great professor. Had him for Journey of Transformation. Each class was a group discussion so your participation really matters. Dense readings which the discussions are based on. Assigns weekly journals and had 2 exams during the semester. If you do the work he asks and you participate you should have no problem getting an A. Highly recommend.
Radwan is a pretty nice guy and class is fun. His lectures can become a bit long. Attendance matters, and as with the other 2 parts of Comm Theory: 4 quizzes, 4 assignments, and one final test. The test is essay-based and a bit tedious! STUDY! He can nit-pick while grading your assignments, but overall a nice guy who knows a lot about comm.
Way too much theory. Lets talk about how it all works. I was lost. For a comm professor, he can't really communciate. It was torture.
He is a very nice professor, each class is a discussion on the reading you did for homework. He does opening and closing writing for each class, 10 online journals throughout the semester, participation points are given each third of the semester. Reading is not optional. You'll get the grade you deserve so long as you put forth the effort.
The class was a little boring and would be awkward at times but it was because no one participated. Pretty good professor with clear objectives and what he needed from the students and the material was actually something interesting and good reading material.
Radwan's lectures are incredibly boring. Show up to class and be sure to do the readings for the quizzes. If you do this you will be fine. The way he makes students take notes is ridiculous. Nobody ever knows what he's talking about while he's lecturing because everyone is too busy trying to "fill in the blank." Not the best adviser either.
In Professor Radwan's courses you are forced to work. While his lectures can be a little on the boring side, if you chose to engage yourself, you will not only do well in the course, but you will lean a lot and gain a strong relationship with one of the smartest professors that I have ever had.
dont know why he only has a 3.5, I had him for journey of transformation and thought he was a great teacher, fairly easy class. as long as you read(summaries suffice) and participate the class is an easy A
Radwan is awesome. Great instructor who wants his students to succeed and learn!
Professor Radwan is dedicated to his profession and is a really good guy. If you skim the readings & pick a few points to talk about in class, hell love you. He loves participation and if you actually read & discuss with him you can learn a lot. One of the best professors Ive had at SHU so far!
Probably one of my favorite professors. I never really participated much because I thought what I had to say was dumb. However, the easiest way to get an A in this class is just to say literally anything no matter how stupid you might think it is. Great professor too, you can tell he is a really good guy. Probably adopts old dogs from shelters.
His notes are clear and easy to follow. Participating is easy, e'll take whatever you say and try to work with it. You can tell he's knowledgable about communication, but he knows how to teach it in a way that's easy to follow for beginners and engaging for those who've studied it already. Perfect amount of energy for a morning class.
Biggest ass of a teacher ever. Extremely long lectures that are very boring. Only 4 people in the whole class ever participated. Lost of Writing, Reading, and Homework. LOTS!!! Did less work in English class than this.
Put in effort, take your own notes after each reading, and participate at least once or twice a class you will have nothing to worry about. Just get through the boring lectures, the professor has many opportunities to earn points towards your grade.
Most boring class I have every taken. I've never had to do so much homework for a class in my life. Participation matters so you really need to do the readings before class, but be careful it's going to take a while to do so.
Dr. Radwan is nice and participates in group discussions w/ the class. There is a lot of reading, but you can find summaries for must of them. He appreciates anyone who says even one word in class and GRADES ON PARTICIPATION. He is an easy grader, just make sure you at least have something to share. PAY ATTENTION IN SEPT/OCT for first exam!!
I always love taking Professor Radwan's classes. They're super interesting and I don't think I've ever talked about stuff I learned in class outside of class as much as I have with his lectures. As long as you read a bit of the topic for the day and participate once or twice in class, you're golden. Tells you exactly what to study for tests too.
Absolutely awful.
