He makes the class fun and interesting. He doesn't focus on the textbook but does assign work from it so you're familiar with the terms.

Jon is great instructor. He makes it clear the first day of class that "you are responsible for your own education." Expect to hear, and participate, in exciting lectures with great insight. There are a lot of writing assignments, mostly summarizing videos and textbooks. I will be signing up for his Macroeconomics class also.

He is very interactive and likes to ask the class questions to think about and will then elaborate.

Professor Wolf teaches a very upbeat and fun class that focuses on participation. 90% of the learning comes from his interactive discussionslecture. The ideas presented are done so with lots of eloquence and experience. Enjoyed his Macro class enough to sign up for his Eco next term. Teaches real world skills along with his material.

One of the most intriguing classes I've ever taken at COCC. While completely different than his predecessor, that is not a bad thing. Jon teaches economics for the real-world. His lectures are entertaining and helpful. I feel like the information learned in this class may help me more in my life than any other class I've taken in college.

I enjoyed the class and should have taken it years earlier. It is all about the instructor for me and Jon made the class engaging and challenging. I was angered upon learning the inner workings of our economic system and Jon's humor and lightheartedness helped me keep and even keel against the waves economic confusion.

He put's the "fun" in "dysfunctional economy" and really tries to include all the students in class discussions. He also wears black every day. There's homework due every first class of the week, so there aren't really any surprise deadlines even if you don't read the syllabus thoroughly.

I found Mr. Wolf's teaching technique to be unique yet refreshing. The in class discussions encouraged me to truly think about the information and consider alternative perspectives. This class has expanded my knowledge on economics and so much more; I might take another class from him just for the experience!

Up until now I have been dreading taking Macro and Microeconomics. I tried a professor for Microeconomics this summer and did not care for him. He did not teach as well as Jon. I want to come to class. Jon has taught me so much about Macro and it is all on real life events. I have rearranged my schedule to have him next term as well.

Mr. Wolf is a thought provoking and a charismatic instructor. His strength is in his lectures, being able to take a subject like economics and making it engaging and almost fun, while still being very informative. When it comes to workload I see him as fair, not to heavy but not a walk in the park either.

Class is mostly lectureessay based

I was expecting this class to be boring, like any other COCC class, but Jon has proved me wrong. Jon Wolf has kept the class enjoyable and interesting by applying his life experiences with economics. He is very passionate about teaching.

You don't know where you stand on homework. If you are doing it correctly or not. I wish he would tape his lectures and give a list of the websites he uses. Over all the class is a very informative, and not boring at all.

Professor Wolf is great at communicating each day's subject extremely clearly, in a manner that is applicable to real world situations. He has an incredible amount of experience in economics, and a knack for actually teaching students, which is rare now days. The class that I took (Macroeconomics) was not so much about the principals of economics but more about developing your own views and understanding of current economic topics (minimum-wage, economic depression, global markets, etc.). He is good professor in the sense that he forces student to think and formulate opinions, rather than recite info.

Everybody in the class likes Jon Wolf. He is absolutely hilarious and he makes you feel good when you participate in class. He does lecture almost the whole day but it doesn't matter because he is able to get through to the students better than most teachers I have ever had. One of my top professors, he is great! He incorporates economics in a different way that is really interesting and fun. He engages the whole class and pushes for class to participate. Professor Wolf, makes you think about the material, but he does so in a way that directly corrilates with your life. So everything is relevant to you. He has clear grading requirements, participation is a must, but its easy to participate because he makes it fun. His class was truely the only class I looked forward to.

Jon proves to have a genuine concern for his students. Instead of force feeding vocabulary and cookie cutter concepts, he takes a different course of teaching that ensures that you truly understand how all of this stuff works in the real world. This is my second class taught by Jon and I can honestly say that he is the best professor at COCC. He gives great lectures that you don't forget even though some of the material is confusing. He is able to digest a lot of material and put it in words that you can understand. I wish I could take it again. Everyone should take his classes.

The class was interesting; I learned that I didn't know as much about economics as I thought that I did. There was some textbook use, but it wasn't that bad. While some would say that it was very much a "lecture-styled" class, the talks were certainly interesting and were by no means boring. I would consider taking the Macroeconomics class later.

Throughout the course there was the regular read a chapter answer questions. Wolf always had good lectures and I always enjoyed them. he was always really good about answering questions on his lecture days. What was really cool is he always welcomed question.

Disscussions in class are for the most part easy to follow and participate in, theres no busy work,any writing assignments during class unless you want to take your own notes. Its a good class to take whether its required or not just because if your someone that needs to be more informed and knowledgable about economics, this class gets you there

Jon is an awesome Professor. I had him for macro and micro economics both had their own work load which isn't to hard but you have to do it. Also if you have any questions or concerns he is more than willing help. He'll throw out some ideas for you or help with real life "problems" 10/10 would take a class with again if it'd count for my degree.
