BEST MATH TEACHER EVER!!! I took math 990 and i barely passed it but in math 1010 with him as the professor i am now a math wiz!! he explains everything crystal clear! very understanding of any problems you have, with the questions or missing class because of sickness or emergency. i would highly recommend him to everyone!!!

Sometimes he is too smart for his own good because he moves so fast since math is so second nature to him. But overall he is a great teacher and very willing to help. Lots of extra-credit opportunities which totally help you on the test. I hate math but I definitely recommend his class since we all gotta take it anyways!

He is the bomb. Has pre-tests that are almost identical to the tests he gives. If you do the pre-test you'll do well on the test. Do the work and you'll get an A. He's very willing to help you succeed and responds quickly to emails when you need help. Uses mymathlab which made the homework easy.

Professor Anderson is a very great teacher. I took Math 1000 with him, which moves very quickly, and he was able to keep us caught up and understanding the concepts the whole time. If you show up to class, you will learn the concepts. He knows what he is talking about and enjoys what he does, I highly recommend him.

One of the best teachers I have ever had, and that is not an overstatement. He catered to so many different types of students it was amazing. He made it work for every type of student. If you are good at math you will do well. If you hate math he will walk you through it. He truly cares for his students and wants to see them succeed.

He is seriously the best math teacher out there. He genuinely cares about his students and their success. There is a lot of HW on MyMathLab but he is always willing to help. He literally responds to your email within the hour24/7.Doesn't throw any curve balls at you either. What he says, is what you get! Love him! PS: I HATE MATH but now, its OKAY.

Anderson's lectures are always very understandable and he encourages you to ask questions. There is a bit of hw. It doesn't count for your grade but will help you understand the topic. His tests have questions from his study guide. Study it and you should get a good grade. He also gives a lot of extra credit. He's understanding and uplifting.

I had been out of school for 5 years and was scared out of my mind to take a math class. He helped me better understand and remember concepts I had learned a long time ago. Went through each section seamlessly and I had no trouble doing well. Just do everything he asks and you will pass with flying colors, no doubt! Thanks Professor Anderson!

Super good at teaching, makes sure everyone knows the material before moving on. He makes his own tests, and they are pretty easy. He is also really lenient when grading. I would definitely take him again.

Professor Anderson is hands down the best math teacher I've ever had. He's very detailed and step-by-step oriented in the way he teaches. There is quite a bit of homework but each assignment comes with a collection of videos that he made that explain each type of problem. Put in the work and he'll help with the rest. Wish he taught 10501100!

Good teacher, very clear and easy to understand. All of the homework and work was online using my math lab, didn't need a text book just the my mathlab access code you have to buy. Theres a good amount of work but he helps and gives you the tools necessary to understand the concepts. Expect 1 test every week and a half.

For the most part, it's an relatively easy class. Everything is online through MyMathLab. Videos are boring, so just click the videos for credit and do the assigned problems. Takes a bit for him to get back to you, but he's very helpful when he does. Many opportunities for extra credit in each lesson and test. If you do the work, it's an easy A.

Great class! It is A LOT of work, he warns you at the beginning of the semester. This class is fast paced because its two classes. All lectures are online. Class time is used for answering clicker questions & going over concepts. Tests aren't bad if you've done the homework. Jon is more than willing to help if you ask. Put in the work & you'll pass

Best Math Teacher Evah!! Seriously, just go to class, do the homework and focus on the practice tests through mymathlab and you'll do great. He cares about his students and is an awesome teacher. I took his combined 1010 1050 class and it was awesome! Oh, if you do all your homework and follow the point system you can get tons of extra credit.

I took Math 1010 from Jon a couple of semesters ago, and he's still the best math teacher I've ever had. I'm attending a different university now and I still use his youtube channel for all of my homework. Math is something that's never come easily to me but Jon was always so willing to work with me and made things better.

Anderson is one of THE BEST Professors at UVU. If you don't understand the math he will take the time to explain it. Watch the videos, do the homework, go to class and ask questions! At one point during the class, I had 103%. It is extremely easy to contact him through canvas and he will always reply. You will not regret taking this class!

Words cannot describe my hatred for math. Professor Anderson has taken great care to create understandable videos and very interesting examples to make it fun? Wow! I don't have enough characters to explain how good of a job he does! If you struggle in math at all, take your classes from this guy! He is very personable and will help you out!

He always responded to emails within minutes and went out of his way to help students immediately. All learning is via online videos, and you work with a group the entire semester. 3 group projects, 4 tests and the final, and a book report. GREAT professor who made math tolerable.

Jon is the BEST math professor at UVU. I took this class twice before and had a super hard time clearly. He made it possible for me to pass. Responds immediately extremely willing to help. Do your work and he really works with you to be able to pass the class. Seriously, any and all math classes, take em from him!

Took this class in the summer so it was a faster pace then usual, but in general it was a hard class and you really have to work for your grade. He's very smart and really helpful if you don't understand. Go to class everyday is something new & attendance counts. Just make sure to do the homework, group projects & assignments & you'll pass.

It is a unique math class, he is not a typical math teacher, and that's a good thing! All lectures are videos you watch before going to class. In class, you work in groups (so make sure you sit in the right seat on the first day.) We used OneNote & Excel for all our exams. He is funny and really wants you to succeed.

He teaches REAL LIFE MATH (Math that is actually useful in life) If you would like to take a great GE class and actually learn aplicable math, take his Math 1035 class. Showing up is not mandatory, all lectures are online (But it helps to get personal feedback) You wont regret taking this class.

Really great professor. I hate math but he really helped me understand the concepts and made it interesting. I learned a lot in this class and he taught us how to use Excel and other programs that are actually applicable to real life. 10/10 would take again.

He works directly with students, even online, and responds within 30 minutes if you email him with detailed responses and help. He is by far the best math teacher on campus.

Professor Anderson is awesome and very knowledgeable. He really cares about helping his students. You get to pick groups the first day of class and you will work with them every class period so choose carefully. Some of the subjects are confusing and difficult but he would always respond very quickly when you send him an email.

Super awesome and realistic professor. Gives you tons of second chances. VERY HW heavy. You can easily get behind. I failed math all through school and was able to take this class by 1 point and I'll be ending the class with a B. You MUST participate and make an effort.

I have never been a huge fan of math and I was super nervous for this class but it has been awesome! We have a lot of homework but it's not too bad and Prof Anderson always has a video that walks you through every problem. We have group assignments every class so don't skip class! Overall a really good professor and an easy to pass class

He doesn't make the work-load light, but he makes it possible. I hate math and he was so good to work with that I still got a good grade.

My class was a pilot class, but Prof. Anderson was awesome! Math is not my subject by any means. More than 80% of his students who do the homework and practice quizzes, pass the class. He's upfront about what you are looking at & he's also very observant of the group projects in case someone isn't working on their stuff.

Jon was the best teacher I had this semester! He is willing to work with you and gives great feedback. He allows you to rework everything and gives lots of opportunities for extra credit. If he critiques your assignment, do what he says and you can get full credit. If you dont understand something, he will work with you one on one over Teams.

As a guy who has struggled with math for the majority of my academic career, Jon is a gem of a professor. This class was all I needed for my major so it was awesome to have a group project oriented and very easy class. He is extremely respondent (even on weekends) and is oriented on the student. The class was difficult because it was 6 credit hours but that was expected. Jon is hands down the best professor ever. I am terrible at math but this class made me feel like I knew what I was doing. I learned so much and actually grew to like it! The class doesn't have a TA but instead a Math Mentor and he's seriously the best. There are weekly group projects, discussions, and other assignments but it is all doable.

He had us work in groups a lot which I personally was not a fan of but Jon himself is so patient and is willing to go as slow as you need. Ive always been intimidated by math so it was very nice to know that I didn't need to feel embarrassed when asking him questions.

Jon is one of my favorite professors ever! He truly wants all of his students to do great and learn a lot. I was worried about the 6 credit hours, but it wasn't any more work than my 3 credit hour classes. My one complaint is the class is super group work heavy, even when it was online, and sometimes I got stuck doing a lot of the work.

Amazing class! I've always struggled with math and haven't taken a math class in 7+ years. He made his lectures easy to understand and it helped to be able to go back and watch again if I wasn't understanding. Lots of group projects for an online class... If you don't have time to meet in person don't take this class. Other than that the class is amazing! Professor Anderson is amazing at getting back to you and grades super fast. He was amazing at the end of the semester by helping me get my grade up. There's lots of extra credit too!

Super easy to reach via teams. GENUINELY CARES about students. The final is 5 questions 200pts (very managable). Mentor is usually available to students. He is very sensible in his teaching, and teaches with the intent that we leave the course with useful math skills and not just a grade. He is extremely passionate. You work in 1 group all semster

Jonathan Anderson was a great professor. He was passionate about the math he was teaching. I spent an average of 3 hours on each homeowrk assignment. There are two homework assignments and 2 projects each week.. The practice exams were super helpful in getting comfortable with the material that will be on the final exam.
