Very energetic teacher! Jonathan explains everything on a students level, using real life analogy and commentary to get the point across. He has the "geek" factor goin' on but it makes the class that much more fun. His testing style can be tough but some people find it better - not memorization.

Jonathan is basically a needle in a haystack. Not many teachers can teach like him, he is able to break down very complex information and make is very simple. Its amazing to see him in action. He has changed my life in numerous ways and I would reccommend him to anyone who is planning on takeing A&P, he does the whole series in order so you can rest assured that you will have him throughout the entire year. Once you get used to his teaching style there is no stopping you from success with him
Is one of the best teachers I have encountered in my 54 years and 8 different universities.
Great class, I walked away with so much knowledge. He really just wants you to understand concepts and how things work. Far from the multiple choice type class, this class is concept driven. He is very helpful and will wait around after class to help clarify. Also very enthusiastic and kinda makes you want to be to.
Excellent instructor! He is very helpful and really knows his subject. He will stay after class if help is needed. Would highly recommend him especially if you need this class for nursing!
If you've dreaded taking A&P, Mr. Christie could be the answer to your prayers. He is an excellent, funny, talented instructor. He has infinate patience for teaching details of anatomy and his tests are fair. Anatomy will never be a simple class, but you can't go wrong with this instructor. A cutiepie too!
I wish I had taken Johnathan for all 3 A&P courses. Don't take any other A&P professor. He is able to present the extremely opaque concepts of A&P very coherently, and it is a LOT of fun to be in his class; he has enormous energy. He stresses, and expects you to know CONCEPTS, not memorization. Concepts is what you NEED to know for your future.
Christie is a fantastic teacher! Best teacher I've had so far at PCC. He makes complex subjects easy to understand. I didn't even open the book once, all you need to do is listen to his lecture and do his "books of death." LOL, you'll see when you take him. Class is extremely easy for A&P. Would recommend him 10 times over!
I just took micro and wish my instructor was half of the teacher Jonathan is. I went through 231.232,and 233 with him. I would highly advise any one needing a&p to take his lecture and lab. I really wish PCC would wake up and make him a full time instructor so he could teach other classes as well.
Great teacher!!! He is one of the best teachers I've ever had. I would strongly recommend him. I took all three sequences of A&P with him. He is very energetic and willing to help. He actually wants you to learn. I wish PCC would have him as a full time instructor!
Wow! The energy this man expels is remarkable. He loves to teach, and he loves to help you understand. The subject is not an easy subject, but when Jonathan taught it, he made it easy to understand. Even if it meant going over and over and over it, he would never complain. Thats what teaching is about.
What a nice guy. Mr. Christie totally supports the plight of the working student (most of us work full-time) and tailors the course more towards nursing preparation than pre-med -- while the subject matter is "advanced" and challenging, it is not beyond the scope of thos students with "B" averages in high school biology.
If you are lucky enough to be one of Mr. Christis students you will know what it feels like to have a diamond dropped in your lap. This gem of a teacher is energetic, entertaining and enthusiastic! His passion for teaching is real and shines through in his mischiveous twinkly eyes. Can you guess? I adore this teacher. Mr. Christi, THANKS.
Jonathan is the most energetic teacher that I've ever had. He makes the material easy to understand as he puts it all into "layman" terms....highly recommed him as an A&P teacher....I've had others and they don't measure up to Jonathan. Jonathan, thank you for a great term!
Amazing teacher and person. The best teacher I have ever had.
I miss Jonathan so much! He is so amazing, I am now in Nursing school, he is the reason I am surviving!! He teaches everything you will need to know for nursing school and in a way that makes you remember long term. He is absolutely amazing!!! I will never forget him
Remarkable teacher. There is really no one else you should take A&P at PCC from. Do yourself a favor, if he is one of your choices, take him. His class is not a cakewalk, but you will easily do well if you apply yourself as he is fair. I started somewhat interested and was motivated to make health care my career choice.
I never wanted to be a nurse, because I was scared to death of A&P. It was a miracle that I got into Mr Christie's class. Now, A&P is my FAVORITE subject. He makes it easy to understand and remember. You do have to apply yourself, as it's an A&P class, but he is MORE than willing to help you if you are struggling and it just doesn't make sense.
Mr Christie is the best teacher I have had! He made A & P so interesting and relevant! I HIGHLY recommend taking class from him!
Jonathan Christie is quite possibly the best instructor I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He has a passion for teaching, loves his job, has incredible energy and optimism. Born and raised on a farm, if you want wholesome learning, he is your man.
Jonathan is the best A&P teacher ive ever had. His style is a little different than all the other teachers, but i learned more in his class than any other, and I hardly had to study! He is very energetic and his lectures are very engaging. Youd be a fool to take anyone else!
Mr. Christie is the BEST teacher I have ever had. I was lucky to have him all 3 terms. He made the class very enjoyable and easy to understand. He has a unique gift of getting complicated concepts across to his students easily. You will not regret taking his class. I miss it him and the class!!! Thank you, Mr. Christie!
Don't walk- run to register for this class! Mr. Christie lives up to all of your expectations and more!
Jonathan is awesome! Teaches you all the important things you need to know and leaves out the b.s. the book often overkills. I honestly can say he's probably the best college professor I've ever had.
best teacher ever..took 3 different teachers for each class in the series..and he was by far the best ive ever had..style is way different but a lot easier and informative than any other teacher..very clear and helpful in lab/lecture..i recommend him over anybody else..you will not regret it..hes the most helpful/organized
Christie rules! You will be entertained by his teaching. He's enthused for the subject, and nice. Gives great analogies that make the complex simple.Test and quiz questions crystal clear. A&P requires work, but his class wasn't hard.
Jonathan is a really awesome instructor. He gives you the basics and is much more concerned with concepts than memorization. I'm going into 233 and have gotten As in 231 and 232. He doesn't bog you down with extra info and I think you retain more knowledge after the class is over because of that. A+++
Wonderful teacher! He make learning fun and clear. Anyone who is scared of this class, you should run to take him! You will love him!
He is the best teacher I've ever had! He gets you to learn concepts so you can apply them to all sorts of real world situations. Lab is rote memorization. Lecture is about actual learning. Show up to every class, pay attention and you'll do well. He's laid back and fun. No boring PowerPoint slides. Coffee helps you to keep up with his energy level!
Maybe he was the best one when he was starting to teach, but he does not teach well anymore. I am getting A b/c I study hard. I will not take his class anymore.
The energy needs to be tapered so he can really
His students lack so much instruction because of his speed. might be 'cause he's lost joy in teaching or is avoiding questions. Why does he want us to "nod our heads like sheep?" It's not funny.
Christie is the best teacher that I have ever had. A & P is a very difficult course, but he is such an engaging teacher that learning it becomes easy. Concepts are his focus, which is great because you learn to really understand the topic as opposed to just memorizing it. I would have taken him for all three class if it were possible.
GOOD LUCK getting a spot in his class...he is so popular that landing a seat in his lectures has become very tricky...and there is good reason for his popularity. He will change your life! He gives the most engaging lectures ever! And he is really fun.
Outstanding teacher! If you can get in his class, you will not regret it. I had him for 3 terms and he has great knowledge it the subject plus he has the personality to boost. Jonathan Christie is by far the best instructor I have had.
Great teacher! Really explains things well! I learned more from him than any Biology teacher I have ever had!
He's great. Definately knows how to reiterate the information in different scenarios to get the job done.
Jonathan is funny, smart, humble and deeply committed to helping students learn.
i've taken all anatomy's and micro. i've had larry sanders, sandy neps, and mark perkins, but jonathan christie is THE BEST!!! i had to retake 231 because i got a C with Neps the first time. jon is extreemly clear about what you need to know, he's totally fun, and you'll have a crush on him by the end of the class. swear to god.
I am so in love with Prof Christie. The first day of class he wore a sweater vest and he has big coke bottle glasses and he is just adorable. Ive had all different teachers for a&p and i did not enjoy any of them until him. Before taking his class i felt that my passion for biology and i wasnt good at it, but after taking his class i feel passionat
Very clear about expectations. Gives the big picture and doesn't stress about details (except in lab). Exams are based off of class content only very few surprises. I recommend him for anyone struggling to understand how things fit together.
Best instructor you could ask for,you con learn more in one class with him than any other.Teaches you the forest, you will learn the trees later
I love Jonathan! I took him for cell bio and all 3 A & P's. It took me almost the whole year to break his stern shell, but eventually, he laughed at my jokes instead of just staring at me. He is an EXCELLENT teacher. This was the best course series I've ever taken in my whole college career, including my bachelors degree. Good luck getting a seat!
I took Jonathan's class because he was so highly rated. The first day of class was packed full of people crawling over each other to get into his class. After 6 weeks of class, I am so thankful. A&P is extremely difficult. Jonathan makes it very interesting and relates what you learn with real life. Take him if you can get in. Well worth it.
Mr. Christie is outstanding. His class is hard but he is very clear about the expectations. I took all three A&P. Homework is reasonable. He explains things in a way that most people can understand. There is one oral group presentation at the end of term. The class is challenging but well worth it. He is the best instructor I've had.
I love him!! He is so hard to read and comes across as gruff...at first. He teases and tries hard to be mean, in fact, I'm still not sure if he likes me. ha! I love that he doesn't use PowerPoints. He actually uses the old overhead projector and the white board. Teaches you what you NEED to know. If you don't like essay exams, don't take him!
Jonathon Christie is the best professor I've had in 3 years of college. He makes a very difficult subject easy to understand. Expectations are clear and easy to follow. He's understanding, helpful, and funny! If you need help, just ask! I highly recommend him for any class he teaches.
Greatest Bio teacher I have had. Makes the class actually enjoyable to go to. Its obvious why his classes close on the first day of registration. He expects you to learn a lot and remember. But he won't test on stuff he didn't teach you.
He is the greatest teacher ever! Every time I had a question he had no problem explaining something. Very helpful! I had Mirkes the term before and could not get her tests. And she would never clarify things if asked. Take Jonathan's class if you can. You won't regret it!
This is the best teacher HANDS DOWN! I have never had so much fun learning such a hard subject. He makes the subject easy to understand, and only tests on what he talks about in class. He will not trick you like some other teachers do! He is amazing, words can't even express how thankful i am for this teacher. I wish he could teach every class.
Most of us taking this sequence are aiming to be nurses. Jonathan gets that and his teaching prepares you to move on in your studies. You could spend your life on the minutiae of A&P, but if you want to learn how it all fits so you can understand meds and disease their interplay, take this course! Get him for lab, too. Very impt!
Very easy compared to other A&P teachers, he really has a fun way of teaching. He has the ability to entertain you for the whole 3 hour class. No busy work and I never even opened the book, the homework literally took 5 mins before class each week. Again, super easy, take Jonathan for A&P!!
Professor Christie is the best teacher I have had, EVER! A&P is a very difficult subject, but he teaches it in a way that makes it easier to comprehend and retain. He is big on critical thinking, which prepares you for a future in nursing. His joy of teaching is very apparent and he wants his students to learn and be successful in his class:)
Best teacher ever! Took him for all three terms and got an A each term. A&P is a very difficult subject, but Jonathan made it fun. I learned so much in his class and I am certain I will retain it because of the way he taught it. Definitely recommend him. Only tests on what he teaches in class and is extremely helpful when you have questions.
I took A&P from 3 different professors. Jonathan is the by far clearest in explaining physiology. He connects the causes/effects of physiology using keypoints then re-emphasize these points with study cases. His exam closely reflects what he teaches in the class. The objectives for the lab is clear/concise and his lab lecture is insightful.
Mr. Chritie is the best teacher I have ever had. He knows the topic very well and he makes learning it fun and interesting. Trust me you will not laugh in any other antomy class and it will be hell with any other instructer! Study the material and you will do well, he even tells you what you need to study for exams. I highly recomend taking him~
If u are about to begin a year of BIO 112 and A&P you would be a fool not to take them all w/ Mr Christie. He is a GREAT teacher that really knows the subject. His A&P lectures were FUN & I believe he has prepared me well for nursing school. His lecture exams&quizzes are all essay. His labs are hard but he tells you exactly what u need to know.
Not sure what else I can say that everyone did not already. Best instructor I've had in my college experiences, incld universities. didn't think i could go to class on fri & sat, but it was definitely worth it. I will miss him as an instructor. good luck getting into his class and lab.
I took Cellular Biology in Summer and am currently taking the A&P sequence with him now. He's more interested in you knowing why things happen, rather than you memorizing the details and makes you apply your knowledge to case studies. Facilitates a great learning environment. I highly recommend him.
Jonathan is a fantastic professor! His lectures aren't boring at all, he uses different methods for presenting material and keeps labs interesting. I've had a hard time with biology classes in the past until this one. Everything good that has been said about Jonathan is very true! Highly recommend him!
BEST TEACHER EVER! That's really all there is to say! GO JC!
I have attended four different colleges/universities and Johnathan is by far THE BEST teacher I have ever had. His classes fill up almost instantly so if you are able to get in, consider yourself very blessed to have such a wonderful instructor. His teaching methods keep you engaged and involved.
Jonathan was a wonderful teacher. If you listen to his lecture and take good notes, you are sure to excel in A&P. He teaches his students in hopes that they will remember the material for life. I wish he taught more classes.
good teacher, fablous lectures! The only problem I had, was figuring out WHAT to study! Tests solely on lecture, but seemed like parts were missing that we were tested on...had a different teacher for lab, who would test on function questions that WERE in the book. It was hard to get a handle on WHAT to study for this class
Taken the first two A & P's from him. It;s difficult material, I certainly will not get A's in this class but I look forward to it every week and after hearing the horror stories about other professors I know I have the best one. He really is fantastic.I respect him to the fullest.
I had a A&P sequence from him. He is one of my favorite teachers. He is really hilarious and helpful. He made these tough classes simple.
Excellent professor! He teaches concepts that you can remember. He is very helpful and has goofy humor. He wants all his students to get A's and B's. What a nice guy!
Johnathan is by far the best anatomy and physiology at PCC. He asks his students to become familiar with the "forest" of the human body, NOT the "trees". After taking his class, you WILL have a comprehensive understanding of how the body's systems interact. He treats his students as the future nurses and paramedics that they are.
Jonathan is AMAZING!! He really taught me A&P in a way that made sense and I will remember so much of it from his teaching style. LOVE HIM!
I attempted to take A&P1 twice before and had to drop out.3rd time's a charm! Christie explains things in a simplistic way that I can finally comprehend and applies it to real life.Don't buy a new text, purchase any used A&P book off of Amazon & save LOTS of $$!Record the lectures and listen to them outside of class. I did this and aced all exams!
Great teacher! Made learning easier than most and interesting. Very clear on what he wants you to study. As long as you actually put the time into studying you should pass his class.
BEST TEACHER EVER! He is so enthusiastic about teaching it makes the course fun. Take the class, take the class, take the class. You will learn lots and it will be extremely easy. Avoid Kluthe's lab and go Christie all the way!
I MISS YOU CHRISTIE!!!! I miss learning anatomy from this teacher. He is the best, I don't think there will ever be another teacher like this guy. Anatomy is so much fun, and way easier in Christie's class. TAKE HIM!!!!
This is the best instructor I have had at PCC. I would recommend all those taking A&P to look for his name. I feel like I learned more and had to struggle less in his class. And he is funny, good-natured, & pleasant.
He is the best A&P teacher ever! He explains everything in a way that all his students can understand and is able to do so with some humor. A&P can be a very dry subject, but he will keep you engaged and a three hour lecture will fly by!
Jonathan is incredible!! I rated him a 4 for easiness NOT because the class is easy, but because Jonathan will do his best to help you succeed. As a nursing major who is retaking this anatomy class for a better grade, I can tell you I wish I would have just taken it with Jonathan in the first place. If only all professors were so amazing!
Prof Christie knows his stuff, is super helpful, answers questions, utilizes all teaching styles: straight lecture, visual, group processing, relevant and applicable info...the main reason why he is awesome is because he teaches the why behind the what. He doesn't just want you to know info. He gives u tools to apply it in the real world settings!
Professor Jonathan is AWESOME!!! He's very passionate about what he teaches and is funny. Is more interested that we learn how things work over and above knowing the mechanisms. I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone...makes a tough topic interesting, applicable and fun!!!
Jonathan really knows how to make concepts stick. He teaches conceptually & expects students to apply those concepts in tests & quizzes. He cares about students & is one of the best TEACHERs I've had even with a master's & attending six colleges & universities. It's not easy, but he'll help in any way he can. Don't pass him up!
I could have valued from more lecture time & guidance during lab. Tests-Loud & people talking during tests; you had to fight for a chance to see the models during tests. Lecture exams based on case studies. Loved the case studies. Personally needed more time to dive into the weeds and understand the material. Wasn't a good fit for my learning style
Great teacher. Highly recommend. Writes everything on the board you need to know for test, and goes over what questions are on test on review day.
You simply cannot say enough about what an amazing teacher Christie is. I've had so many teachers, he is the ABSOULTE BEST! He explains things in a way that make it easy to understand!! He spends time with students to make sure they learn the material. He's fun an quirky. Thou shalt (one of his quirky mannerisms) love Mr. Christie!!!!
Jonathan is an excellent teacher. He is very knowledgable and is clearly dedicated not just to the subject matter, but to teaching it thoroughly. He's easily one of the best instructors I've had from any discipline. Jonathan is very personable, available to help, and an all around stand up guy. Easily the best for A&P at PCC.
One of the best teachers I have ever taken. If you have questions he is happy to explain. Tests are straightforward. Very helpful in lab and open lab. You can tell he likes what he does, lectures are engaging and fun!
I was nervous about taking this class. Mr. Christie made it interesting, he is very helpful & keeps you engaged in the lectures. He really has a gift for teaching & he was not worried about spelling he wanted you to learn the subject. Mr. Christie is a great teacher and loves what he does. Hard to get in his classes (any of them) he is THAT good!!
He is an AMAZING instructor. NO EXTRA CREDIT, NO MULTIPLE CHOICE, NO MATCHING! But, his quizzes and tests are fair. If you study you will get a good grade! I was terrified to only have short answer & essay quizzes & tests but it forces you to know the information! Is is GREAT! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! DON'T MISS ANY CLASSES!
He is hands down the best biology teacher I have ever had. He refuses to use PowerPoints (trust me, that's a good thing). Instead, he uses a plethora of visual aids (videos, diagrams, illustrations) to supplement the material he is explaining. His lectures are fun and engaging, and he is super clear with what he expects his students to know.
Jonathan is EXTREMELY clear on what he needs you to know and retain. Basically, if he writes it, you better write it too! he is funny and makes lecture interesting and apply to everyday stuff so you get it. tests and quizzes are do-able. had Kluthe for lab, if you can avoid that DO IT. take Christie for both, Kluthe not nearly as good.
Christie is the best teacher I've ever had. He makes lectures interesting and he doesn't use power-point, but rather teaches using real world examples and case studies. This is also how you will be tested, so you must learn the material and be able to apply it as well. He's a very fast grader, and test questions are to the point and never tricky.
Expect: Weekly quizzes (12% of grade, fairly easy, & only 4-5 questions), 3 exams (50% of grade), weekly hw (5% of grade & very easy), lab (33% of grade & much harder than lecture). For lab expect weekly quizzes & 2 big exams. My whole study group studied hard, got A's, & loved his class. He's a very fastfair grader & made class interestingfun!
Best teacher I've had at PCC. Great lectures, excellent at explaining the material. Weekly HW/quizzes are easy points if you are paying attention. Exams are all case-study type questions and you actually have to use your brain to answer, which is not hard if you study your (very clear-he writes down what you need to know as he lectures) notes.
Jonathan is the best instructor I have ever had -- by far -- and I had a previous undergrad degree so I've had a lot of teachers. The class is not easy by any means but he made it feel meaningful instead of just a box to check off so it was well worth it. Go to lecture and write down everything he writes on the board and you'll be fine.
Jonathon was honestly the best teacher I have had for a lecture class, especially with science. Science is not an easy thing to grasp or learn for many students due to us not being able to see things on a cellular level however he was so thorough and broke information down simply to understand. I HIGHLY recommend taking him for A&P!!!
Great teacher, I've had a few other Biology teachers at PCC and they don't come close to the quality of Jonathan's classes. He really knows his stuff and he's pretty straightforward on what you need to know.
Excellent teacher, tells you exactly what you need to know to apply to case study questions he uses for his tests and quizzes. Very funny, gets his concepts to you in an entertaining way. Write down everything he does on the board! I wish he taught all the rest of the science classes that I need to take!
Took Jonathon's class for BI 231 - 233. One of the best courses I have taken. He doesn't try to overcomplicate things or trick you, but you still have to work hard.
Any anatomy class at PCC is going to be difficult and will require a TON of outside work and inside classroom participation. I have taken this class twice, once from a not so clear teacher and this time with a very concise teacher. I love Mr. Christie. He understands how a brain learns and retains information. I need that for the A&P sequence!
Mr. Christie is an amazing instructor. Definitely one of the best Ive ever had, he takes difficult science courses and makes them fun, engaging, and easy to understand. A&P genius! Tests are never multiple choice which is actually hugely beneficial. If you want to do well take him!
CHRISTIEBEST TEACHER EVER. He has helped me realize that I am SMART and I can learn complex A&P material. He simplifies, uses tools like graphs and tables to help your brain understand, and he attends workshops that help him teach A&P better to students. How could you ask for me. Spare yourself and build your schedule around his class.
2 midterms and 1 exam, 50% of your grade is based on tests so hopefully you are a good test taker. Lab is pretty easy, you will typically get out early. Homework assignments are arbitrary and annoying. They are usually questions not related to lecture and he does not require you to know them for exam. Exams are based on lecture. Would take again.
Get ready to write everything he writes on the board and do not get behind, you won't be able to catch up easily. If you need an A you have to put the work in because he won't hold your hand. Don't just memorize the facts because his exams are not multiple choice. You need to understand the material so you can apply it in a scenario case study.
I just finished up BI231 with Jonathon Christie, and he was an amazing teacher. You definitely have to work for your grade, and he does two quizzes a week. One lecture, and one lab quiz which is VERY beneficial. You actually have to study for those quizzes every week, which makes studying for the test easier. I would HIGHLY recommend his class!
His exams and quizzes are mainly based off of what he lectures so be prepared to take good notes and ask questions. He was great with explanations during lecture. Tests were never multiple choice but I felt I retained more information that way. A&P is hard, lots of studying but he sure knows his stuff. Take his class, you won't regret it!
Lecture with Johnathan is great, he holds your interest and explains things in a way that you can understand. You will need to take notes on EVERYTHING he writes, even record the class of you can. The exams and quizzes are worth a large percent of the grade so make sure you study hard, 25+ hours a week. Its a very difficult class for a reason.
Most amazing prof you could ask for. If you need help, he will make time for you. A&P is a hard class, you will need to study. He will give you the tools you will need, try to understand the topics rather than just memorize. Tests are short answer, but if you study you will do well. I still use the notes I took in his class.
Mr Christie is an amazing lecture professor, he's got a great amount of energy and knows how to teach. He has weekly assignments both online and written answers as well as weekly quizzes so make sure you go to class, his lecture notes are what he tests on. Doesn't put anyone on the spot and is very approachable and hilarious. 10/10 professor!
I dont know what to say about Mr. Christie but he is the best Anatomy and physiology teacher Ive ever had. I took AnP I at Sylvania campus and I got a C, and I took it with him and got an A. DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT, GO AND TAKE HIM.
Mr. Christie is one of my all-time favorite teachers after having taken BI 122, BI 231, and BI 232 with him. I hadn't taken a biology class in 5 years, and I got As in all three of his classes. He tells you exactly what will be on his quizzes and exams and writes everything on the board for you. He is the BEST. Go take every class you can with him.
I've been in college for a while and I have to say that Mr. Christie is the best professor I have ever had. His lectures are engaging and fun. His tests challenge you in a good way. He goes to open lab and is ready and willing to help students with any questions they have. He truly wants you to succeed. Don't take A&P with anyone else but him.
Mr. Christi is by far one of the best teachers out there. He will make you learn! He cares about you learning the concept. His test are not multiple choice, you have to understand the subject. Take his class! You will learn the material and love him. Be ready to spend at least 25 hours a week studying just for his class.
Extra credit? No. Multiple choice? No. Will you learn the concepts? Yes. Exams are short answers, you need to understand the subject. He is the best teacher I've had, but also the hardest. This class is a full-time job.
Super funny guy, makes you enjoy a 3 hour lecture (its more like 2 hours, add the passing back stuff, questions, quiz, etc...) Hardest teacher out there for this subject, but you will learn in his class. ASK him questions on exams!!! Seriously, if you don't, you'll be sorry.
I loved Christie's class so much. It is a very tough course, but he wants you to learn and doesn't try to be tricky and keeps the content relevant. He clearly loves teaching and doesn't focus on minutia so that you come away with a great understanding of the material. I took the first two in this series at Sylvania, and very much regret doing so.
First off take Medical terminology first before starting this series, trust me. And second be prepared to have at least three full days a week to study in order to get an A on everything. His exams and quizzes are easy if you put in the study time. Lastly take him with Mr. Kluthe, as his exams and quizzes are even easier.
Not sure how this guy is rated so high. By far the worst teacher! Take someone else!
If you want to learn about AP then take this guy. He's quirky and has a dry sense of humor , but he's also making sure that you know your stuff. His lectures focused on what's important and relevant to your future career so if you just want an easy A please look else where. He's not tech savvy but he's doing his best esp. this time of Covid.
Professor Christie is by far one of the best professors I've had in all my 8 years of undergrad (getting my 2nd degree at PCC) Ive taken A&P with other professors but none as great as Christie. If you manage to get Greg for Lab then you are lucky! Highly recommend them. I wish I took him for 231 and plan to take 233 with them too.
Jonathon is by far the best A&P teacher I've taken. He really explains the concepts so they make sense - and he focuses just on CONCEPTS and doesn't ask you to memorize a ton of useless information. There is a weekly quiz, weekly homework, a group project, and three exams. I took this class online and maybe that made it easier, but it was an easy A
As a lecture teacher I actually enjoyed the class, unfortunately it was taught by two teachers that did not sync material, the lab section and the lecture sections materials would come on entirely different schedules. The teacher adopts an all or nothing grading style for many test questions which is irritating and poorly uses the brightspace.
Expect weekly assignments corresponding to the weekly assigned reading chapters. Class has a corresponding lab which also has a weekly lab exercise. The exams and module quizzes are all information reviewed during lecture/assigned readings. Homework itself is not hard, but it can be difficult to remember, allow yourself time to understand topic.
Professor Christie was really great at simplifying lecture topics that were confusing. He also has a great sense of humor and was excellent at pulling the class together so that we all felt comfortable asking questions and calling out answers.
Professor was chill no complaints but be prepared to teach yourself. He gives an exam study guide but it's not specific it's just this is the 1000 things we should have learned by now, know everything. 1 homework assignment, 2 weekly quizzes. Total of 5 Exams worth 70% of the total grade.
