Don't have these comment's fool you if you don't do the work, or study you will fail the class. He does give extra credit, but not one of these professors that would give you a push if your grade is border line. Bottom line if you don't like to study you will fail. The exams are hard and makes you think a lot

GREAT PROFESSOR I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM. His lectures are very clear and concise and he makes it very interesting. His tests come from his lectures so take good notes. His test reviews are extremely helpful. You have to do work but it shouldn't be difficult to get by with an A or B!

his classes are very interesting you have fun learning the subject and his teaching style isnt boring. the review is everything thats on the tests.

Excellent professor! He knows his students and recognizes hard work. His tests require a lot of studying, but it is definitely manageable to get an A on them. I also loved his humor because it made the lectures very enjoyable. Highly recommend.

He is amazing! Gives great lectures and cares for the grades of his students. He gives out pop quizzes like crazy BUT he tells you exactly what they'll be about. So if you memorize what he said to memorize, you're good. They also don't count again only as bonus points toward the test. Only 4 critical assignments and 4 tests. TAKE THIS CLASS!!!

Lectures are so interesting, so it's not that difficult to pay attention. Take good notes because test are based on his lectures. He doesn't count attendance but don't be absent because you will miss important notes and getting notes from a friend is not the same of taking them your self! I had to learn that the hard way. Oh and he's kinda cute:)

You'd be hard-pressed to find a better professor. Fair, respectful, engaging. Does not read slides and call it a day. Understanding of life circumstances and is willing to help. Humorous and interesting. Tells you exactly what to expect on exams, no tricks or misleading study guides. Now if we can only convince him to teach biology at LSC as well..

Very smart and nice professor. He has a doctoral degree in Psychology. I loved his class and him, lectures are never boring. Exams are straight forward and you know exactly what to expect. No need to read the book because his lectures cover mostly everything for the exams. HIGHLY recommend him! :)

I am so glad I took him because he is a great professor! His tests should be pretty easy if you study because he gives you a review! He also gives out extra credit points. His lectures were always interesting and he was very up beat which made it even better! I recommend him to everyone that plans to take a psych class!

Mr. Durm is a great teacher, he gives lectures but they are funny and helpful. You must go to class in order to pass. the test are based on notes from his lectures. If you study you will pass his test they are easy. He gives three critical thinking papers and drop the lowest score. It is an easy A. pop quiz points are bonus points for the exams.

He lectures off powerpoints and you take notes. he doesn't post anything online so if you are not in class for the lecture you will need someone elses notes. he fully prepares you for the test and tells you exactly what you need to know. no comprehensive final, the 4th test is considered the final. 3 single page papers, drops the lowest.

One of the best professor I have ever had. He gives out so much extra credit (like a lot) his tests are pretty easy (if you study) he gives you a study guide. He is also very funny, his examples of the topic hes teaching are hilarious. I wish I can take him again

I took psyc in HS and the teacher explained things so well I thought that teacher was the best I could get until I met prof Durm. He gives plenty of fun and interesting examples for every thing that makes me remember in test day. Lots of extra credit, he is even willing to help and ask any question you may have. Highly recommended

I was nervous to take this class bc people always complained about psychology being hard, but this professor made learning so fun. I enjoyed learning and everything he does 100% prepares you for tests because all the activities make the material stick in your head, plus the information he shares is interesting. 10/10 recommend! Don't miss out.

I took Dr. D with Prof. Gresell for their community learning class. Theyre great together. Dr. D has four test that he gives you a review for so as long as you take good notes youll do fine. The tests are really easy as long as you study. He gives a few pop quizzes for extra credit. He really loves psychology & makes the class interesting.

Durm was amazing! I had never taken a psychology class before and he made it so fun. Yes, the exams were hard, but it only makes it more difficult if you don't study at least a full week. I'd totally take him again.

Very charming and professional. He is very organized when explaining and for grading, if you do an exam today, he'll give you the result that same day. His tests are only easy if you complete his study guides from top to bottom and if you understand the material. His classes are entertaining and he expects people to participate. Recommended 11/10

Awesome professor! It was one of the easiest classes I've ever taken, but it was also really interesting. Would totally take him again. I thought the tests were easy if you take good notes and study them because he doesn't post PPTs or anything.

he's awesome, gives the best lectures YOU WILL NOT GET BORED also show up to class because you will get behind! other than that he only gives out 2 or 3 assignments but they are not hard, just do your assignments, study for tests and also he gives out random quizzes but they aren't bad. overall a great Professor.

I really enjoyed Prof Durm. His lectures were amazing and informative. His assignments consisted of 4 lecture tests (80% of grade) and 2 critical analysis (20% of grade) Tests are straightforward and easy as long as you study the guidelines he posts. Class is not easy but not hard, as long as you put in the effort you should do fine!

Mr Durm is one of the best teachers I have ever taken. His lectures are amazing he makes sure that everyone in the class understands what he is teaching. No homework and he tell you not to buy the book because he posts it online. There are 4 exams including the final and 2 essay papers that are really easy.

I love this guy, you will certainly enjoy his lectures and this course overall. Very interesting! Get ready to take lots of notes and there are no powerpoints but he does give helpful study guides. 2 papers and tests are very heavy on your grade so be sure to pass every single one of them. He says they are hard exams but to me they were easy!

Dr. Durm is one of the best professors at lone star cyfair. His lectures are so interesting, he does everything by powerpoint, so it's easy to take notes from. You won't want to miss class, because you will miss a lot if you do. His test are pretty easy if you study all your notes. I would recommend taking his class!

Amazing professor for psychology, even after it turned to online, everything was very well organized. I would take him again if I could. I recommend taking him if you ever need to take psychology.

He was very nice. Funny lecture. Be prepared to learn and take notes. Skip class you won't pass. Listen carefully to what he said in the class it will be in the major exams. No essay at all.

I took this fall of 2020 and it was such a simple class. Theres a quiz like every week over some pages on the textbook but all the answers are on quizlet!! There are like 2-3 tests and if you take notes and go over the review you will do good!! Easy A :)

Professor Durm was a great professor. Hes very knowledgeable with his lectures and they are very interesting and informative. There is about 2 test, a midterm, final and there are weekly quizzes but they are open note. Hes an easy grader and overall just a great professor!

Simple but fun class that teaches you a good foundation for general psychology. Don't stress much about the online quizzes if you are in the hybrid class; they are all open book and not timed. Don't skip class and take good notes during lecture, since all the tested info comes from the lecture. Do the study guides, and you'll prob get an A.

Professor was easy going as a hybrid teach. He would give you the quizzes to take early with open textbooks online and his reviews were the test. He was chill and his class did not take too much time for me in terms of work outside of class.

The professor has 3 main tests including the final and for those who only take notes electronically you better adapt to paper. Along with the tests he has a quiz every week which isn't hard at all other than that there isn't anything else holding up your grade. His class is enjoyable and gives bonus points for every test which is appreciated.
