Even though his lecture might drift to some topic that don't deal with hist, its going to be on the test. I got an A in both HIST1301/1302 with Professor Hall. He is very knowledgeable of any history related subject, and he added Government to his curriculum. He keeps up with current events and makes your imagination travel at the same time he shows his site pictures. He loves detail and he loves sharing his passion for History. I just love Prof Hall.

Really nice and easy, if you take notes on everything he writes on the board then you'll be okay on his tests. He lets you use your notes on ALL his tests.

The way he teaches is very straight forward and clear as well as to the point. just show up in class and take notes and just sit for 2 hours on the night before the test and read and highlight them. This guy is awesome and he cracks me up. His class is kinda boring sometimes but all his tests are open notes and his test questions are straight from his lectures. I spent less than $20 getting these random books for his class. He did require a review at the end of the term but that was pretty easy too. Take him he is a good guy.

Mr. Hall is a really great teacher!!! Make sure you take notes on everything he says and you will pass the open book open notes test. He has great photos and souvenirs to look at. He is also pretty funny if you listen to what he is saying.

Best Teacher Ever!!! I actually enjoyed coming to this class. His lectures are interesting and he has a passion for the subject. One day he came to class wearing a Civil War Union soldier uniform, with all the weapons used during the war. All tests are open notes, also he doesn't care if you cheat!!!He even walks out the classroom during the tests.

Professor Hall is the easiest history teacher alive!!! Not to mention, you learn a lot too without even using the book! Easy A although I received a B in error.. I recommend that everyone take this guy. You'll be a fool not to.

I love Mr. Jonathan Hall. He is the best History and Government teacher ever. I took all History and Government classes wt him. Even I dont like these classes but I learn alot having these classes. Register early!!! His classes r always full b4 school starts.

Well he is a nice professor and really knows his stuff. Allows open note/book tests. i found that he gets confused with his classes. Take good notes (cant miss class)& read books you will be fine. Well curve! If you dont want to take notes or 2 books to read THEN take Wilson Richard also another easy A. I took both of them, but i recommend Wilson.

I took him for both my Govt. courses he is a great teacher. He is not strict on attendance but since the test are open note and book you would want to go. You still have to review a little to pass the exams. In both of his classes we had to read a book which we had to write a papper on that was due on the day of the final. I strongly recommond!!!!!

Mr. Hall is a pretty awesome teacher. He is funny at times and very professional. He lets you use your notes for the tests and you most likely will not need any books for his class. However, he does lecture a lot and you must take good notes; you must be present or have a good friend in class! I definitely recommend him to everybody!

Geez, What more can you say about a Instructor who is well prepared and extremely, and highly organized for class. Professor Hall listens and very willing to assist his students any way he can. I highly recommend his class if you want to learn thoroguhly about Government. His Jokes are witty at times, but you will love the class environment!

Takes a genuine personal interest in what he teaches. No text book used. But there were 3 novels that had to be read and tested over. alllll open note tests. yes, open note tests. therefore you must attend everyday but it's worth your while. Really really great teacher. The class was definitely not a snooze-fest.

It's ironic how the negative comments from self-proclaimed "straight-A" students are either WRITE IN ALL-CAPS, or have no knowledge that using ellipses on every sentence isn't correct grammar.... READ HIS BOOK ASSIGNMENTS! He is awesome and WILL let you use your notes but don't use that as a crutch or you WILL FAIL. He has interesting lectures!! :)

First off, READ all his books. His test are difficult if you do not READ the books. He has interesting lectures, learned alot of new and cool things. He is laid back, which is what every college student needs. You can use all books and notes on test; but you must READ the material. I wish I could have taken him for 1302. I recommend this teacher fully. He knows his information by heart and can see the dedication he's put into his studies. Don't fret if you don't do well on his open note tests because he will pass you in the end. He allows laptops in his class and recommend it for taking notes and for the open note tests. He's very lenient and made history great.

I took professor J. Hall last semester. And let me tell you that there is no other professor with an easier class. On exams he lets you use your books,notes and laptop if you have one. Makes history funny and interesting impossible to fail. Highly recommended.

Good professor! Key to a good grade is taking good notes; even the most casual mention of something during lecture can show up on the test. Lectures can drag on sometimes, but he injects humor into it, so it's not so bad, and the artifacts he brings to class are interesting. Recommended!

What can I say except that he is the MOST AMAZING history teacher I have ever had and its my major so that says alot. Professor Hall cracks jokes in class tells stories you never would have known about history. If you want a good grade which you will have to study some for he is the man to get it from. BEST HISTORY PROFESSOR IN OUR HISTORY!

Great prof, tests are take-home! He may be a bit boring but he explains things clearly and also brings in stuff such as WW2 helmets, Native American baskets and pipes etc.

Really great teacher he is really helpful for me and he is open book, but always study the book before taking the test so it can ba easiler to find the anwsers . I got a A on my first test so he counts the First test grade as the final . so I got a A+ . He also brings thing from WW2 so thats interesting . Take him you would not regret it . Trust me
